Manager said he didn't have room for another vehicle. Doesn't look that way.

Another horrendous experience with these chain service centers. Booked an appointment online for a tire balancing and alignment. Appointment was confirmed. Arrived at my designated time only to be told that my appointment was cancelled because they didn't have enough room. No one ever contacted me. Manager went back to service area and came back, saying he had absolutely no spaces in the garage available. He literally left it at, "we'll have to look at our computer reservation system, sorry." Important to note that it wasn't just my time that was wasted. My wife followed me in a second car from Pittsford. ON my way out, just out of curiosity, I walked into the garage to see, and they had loads of space. Snapped a few pics of just how slammed they were. Notice all of the space. Unreal. Never, never, never again. Support your local town garage, who will never treat you like these places.

Caution to modified car owners. My BF came here to get his tire mounted due to a flat he had. Knowing the car is lowered, you would think they would be careful, but they were not. They were unable to service the car with the current equipment they had but still attempted to put it on a their lift. They had two people lifting on the fender to get the jack under it. After that they parked it on the curb damaging the underside of the front bumper. He told them about the damage, but they didn't seem to be bothered by it. Not sure who parked it, but they should be cautious next time they park a lowered car or any car in general. Heard good things about this place that's why he went here, doubt he will be coming back because of the experience he had while here, which is unfortunate.

      I'm Dunn for the day.

Are you tire of my reviews yet? I'm not sure what they've Dunn to receive a 3-star rating. Probably providing me with good Reliable Tires on a couple of occasions, and doing the same for my friend who I referred here. On the other hand their prices are more than I would pay for even better tires at a few places that I know in Buffalo. I raised their rating up to 4-stars based on customer service feedback from someone named Autumn. I think they are very respectful and positive towards customers and willing to improve.

Called around and everyone was hesitant to install tires on the black wheels I had except for Dunn on West Henrietta Rd.

I had the best car buying experience I have ever had today at Van Bortel Subaru of Rochester!…read more I worked with Shawn P and not only was he professional, but fun and made the entire experience smooth and stress free. Was a no pressure deal and gave me a great deal without all the back and forth hassle you get at other dealerships! My entire family has used Van Bortel and Subaru for years. 3 generations of happy Subaru owners! I chose the 2026 Ascent Onyx Touring for its towing capabilities as I was coming from an F-150. It tows my Bayliner with ease and I hardly notice a difference! I would also like to add that the service department is also incredible. I had faulty trailer brakes on my trailer and one of the technicians Tom went above and beyond to help me diagnose the issue and gave me recommendations on how to fix it even though they don't normally work on trailers he still pointed me in the right direction. I am THRILLED and would HIGHLY recommend Subaru and this dealership to anyone! Thank you!!! -Nick

The car buying experience is five stars. The people in…read moreservice also earn five stars; the quality of repairs is good and the waiting area is quite good. But scheduling service is very difficult. I can't say enough about how great the car-buying experience, in every way. They work with you to get the car that fits your needs (I got one of the last manual transmission Crosstreks!) They're available to help with the process of changing registration and all the other items to get the new car established. They offer follow up with any questions, including about warranty. They carefully explain warranty options. This is my first subaru : compared to Toyota - Subaru's people and work on doing maintenance and repairs is just as good and the waiting area is almost as good as Toyota. Scheduling service, though, is another story -- much worse than Bob Johnson Toyota. At Toyota I could easily schedule a time to come in. My first February after I purchased my car I tried to set an appointment up at Subaru *a month in advance* at a time when I'd have work to do while I waited and all they had was early morning and evening appointments. When I called about this difficulty I was told I should just do drive-up service and I'm going to try that.I used that rather than an appointment only had to wait less than two hours for an oil change, so that was fine -- I could come in when I had work to do or the day was not very nice. The people were very helpful getting me a maintenance book for the used vehicle I bought But the second time I tried to use the drop-in service (for an inspection and oil change in August), I arrived shortly after 1PM and was told they were willing to fit me in, but that the wait would be perhaps til 8PM close; they said they were telling others they should come back the next day. I checked Subaru's online appointment system and the first appointments available from the time I write this review are 29 days from now -- and those appointments are very limited (early morning evening.) About 34 days from now there are appointments available. In my many years with Toyota, calling a week in advance was enough to get an appointment. This shows that the problem I experienced in February -- not being able to get an appointment within about a month -- is the same in August. In retrospect, I think, Subaru doesn't accommodate those who want to wait on a repair very well. My wife has had a Subaru and I found it hard to schedule repairs. Subaru a shuttle and $10 car rental on offer. They're much better set up for people who want to drop their car off rather than wait. Subaru's difficulty scheduling is probably because of how successful Subaru sales is. Kitty Van Bortel has built a great company with committed people who work at Van Bortel. I don't know how Subaru could solve this problem. On this August day I tried to get a drop-in oil change and inspection, I was told about the 150 vehicles they were trying to get through. And they were personable - gave me a card and said I could try to call in advance and personally helped back me out of the crowded entry to service. I have had one maintenance done with Subaru and was welcomed warmly, the staff was great, and the service was quick. But scheduling service is tough. (I'm also no fan of online-only setting up appointments to have work done).

I got into a car accident in the middle of January and needed to get two doors and a mirror…read morereplaced on the right side of my Honda Civic. I went through Maaco because of their responsiveness and compatibility with my insurance. They were very quick with the repair process however, everything went downhill after getting my car back. After getting my car back two weeks later, I was about to leave the parking lot and I realized that my mirror which has a camera wasn't working. When i went in to let them know, the guy working told me they had ordered the wrong mirror but that they would reorder the new one and call me within the next few days to have it replaced. He assured me it would be a 20 minute process and i'd be in and out. This was not the case. I returned a week later only to wait in their waiting room for nearly 3 hours and while they did replace the mirror, the camera still wasn't working. Before leaving the lot i turned around again get to tell them about the issue and the young lady working told me to take it to a honda dealership and that "they should be able to figure it out." After paying them thousands of dollars to return my car to its original state, i couldn't believe that she was trying to push this problem to someone else. I told her that they would be fixing this issue and made an appointment for the following week. When i got home, a piece of the door handle on the brand new door had conveniently fallen off and the passenger door was making loud creaking sounds whenever opened. The trim on both doors was falling off too. I called them the following day to tell them about the incident and they had me come in a third time to repair it. When i got there, they told me that they could fix the camera but that they would need to order the handle to replace it. I had to return a FORTH time after that. As a busy full time college student, going through Maaco was incredibly inconvenient and having to return to this establishment countless times was a huge waste of my time. Not sure if the fact that i'm a young girl made them think they could rip me off, but it's clear that they did a very poor job on my car and that they do not have the resources and capability to run an efficient auto repair shop. The trim is peeling off again on one of the doors, but it's been such a headache dealing with Maaco that I will not be returning. Beware of this place, they have absolutely no idea what they're doing.
