My husband recently purchased a used minivan here. We love the minivan and the sales team was great however a few days into owning the van we heard a funky noise. I brought it back and was told the WHOLE transmission needed replacing. They fairly offered us a completely different comparable car OR a power train warranty. We opted for the warranty because I preferred the van we purchased. A month later when the warranty was active I brought it back for service. Suddenly the Honda inspectors won't replace the transmission until the sound is consistent?? The tech found it, the service manager found it, I hear it, but since the insurance guy didn't I get to wait until my van breaks down or gets much worse off?? Seriously? Honda worked with me and kept some heat on the insurance people to get my transmission replaced. It took awhile, but they finally pushed enough and the insurance company had to honor our warranty. While I was waiting Honda let me use a beautiful loaner car since mine was out of commission. Now my minivan runs nice and has no more knocking noises. Got a quote from their internet / fleet salesman Dave Smith. Supposedly it was their "No Bull" pricing. What they dont tell you, is that you have to pay them an additional $787 for dealer "add ons" Window tinting, door edge guards & mud guards and nitrogen in tires. All of the add ons are something i really do want, but the hell if im paying those prices. If you do buy from them, dont accept their add on prices. Make them lower or remove them all. Also, if you buy tinting from them, make sure they are actually tinting the windows. Alot of the upgraded models have privacy glass on the rear windows. So they will charge you full price on tinting, and only tint the front two windows. The nitrogen they put in the tires is a waste also. They say its 89$ for nitrogen. But if you call their sevice dept. its 19.99 total for all for tires! What a rip off. These door edge guards they sell sre cheap tape that goes on the doors. You can buy this for 20$ on amazon, and its a 3M brand. They charge hundreds for this! They also claim to be the lowest sales tax in the valley - that is BS! read more

I went in to the dealership looking to buy a car and instead I was discriminated for looking to young... We asked Yolanda for a specific model of a car and her exact words were.... Yes I do have that car but it's 36k... Do you really think she would even qualify for that!!! I was left without words our reply was ... what makes you think That she wouldn't qualify??? She had no orders, she had built no rapport of why I was there of had any information Just based on how young I looked and then goes to say I remember when I was young had good credit and got a very expensive car and got myself into Debit because I couldn't afford it. The audacity of this woman to discriminate someone for how young they look or discourage someone from applying because they won't be approved. I would never refer anyone here. Well I myself have purchased 3 vehicles from them, my family has bought 2, and along with a few family friends. From the sales team [James Jack and Sam(forgot his last name)], to the financial team, to the Service team, I have no complaints. The have pretty good deals. Like any where else, you just gotta know the right people! They offer free wifi, drinks, popcorn and sometimes on week ends will have cook outs. I spoke with Joel at the internet department. I had been searching for a white civic sport in platinum white. A few dealers came up off American Hondas website that showed who had the vehicle or who had one in transit. I spoke with Auto Nation and Earnhardt and a few others. I got a fair price from auto nation first but they won't have the vehicle in for a few months and then Received a text from Joel. I told Joel what I was looking for and he sent over a price. I immediately questioned him on all the added extras close to 3k more. He said those are added options by the dealer yet at this point the car hasn't even arrived at the dealer. I indicated to him I didn't need the additional options and would just like to take it how it arrives from the factory. Rather than even trying to negotiate at all or try to get me into the dealer he just said that's a really good price and they should take really good care of you! That's why I'd recommend anyone considering this dealer to go to Auto Nation Chandler instead as you'll get a better deal and not be treated poorly by a car dealership. I will say I'm sure business is great today but maybe as the economy turns down and cars become way more readily available only then will they discover that they chased away any kind of loyal customer base. I bought my car at this location and come her for the oil changes in my service package and haven't had any issues until I decided to buy new tires here. They never emailed the survey so I'll leave my experience here. FIRST problem: I was given a price quote when I made my appt. and told a different price after the appt. SECOND problem: Stephanie, my service advisor didn't call when my car was ready. I had to call her over an hour after the estimated time. THIRD problem: Stephanie wasn't at the counter so when another advisor quoted me a total:$245 more than what I was expecting, I had to wait for him to FIND Stephanie. Apparently, she stapled my oil change voucher/tire rotation slip BUT STILL charged me. Since when do you ROTATE NEW tires that you just mounted, balanced, and aligned? Basically, I almost got charged for work that didn't happen PLUS the shop fees they already added in. So disappointed that this is what they do to a faithful customer. I will not be coming here for new tires again or any service. BEWARE OF YOUR CHARGES and READ!!! read more

I visited Earnhardt Honda in Avondale Arizona multiple times attempting to make a good car deal. The first time it was for my wife, and the second time for my mother. This dealership dropped the ball each time. On each visit, their salesmen attempted to overcharge for cars. I am giving them a two rating for at least being polite. Shame on Earnhardt Honda, and your attempt to rip this retired veteran off!! Just thinking about the experience disgusts me. I recently (17 July) filled out the KBB info for my trade-in on the Earnhardt Honda website, and received a value of $34,525. Within 10 minutes I received a call that went to voicemail regarding my trade, and my interest in a 2021 Honda Accord Touring. The next day I took my car in for inspection, and to test drive the exact color and trim I wanted to buy. The asking price was acceptable, and they were willing to drop the dealer add-ons from roughly $2,500, to $995 which I could have lived with. In all fairness, I did want the car for about $500 less than they were asking, but who doesn't haggle their heart out when buying a car (especially when you know the dealer's true cost). While this was going on, the sales manager (Sam James) had inspected and driven my car, and came out to talk to me. He stated we can offer you $31,000 for your trade, which stunned me. He stated they don't use KBB to value trades, they use wholesale value. He went on to say that wholesale value of my car is $31,000 to $35,000, and that 31K was the offer. I asked why do you have a KBB car evaluation on the Earnhardt Honda's website, when you have no intention of honoring it, but I didn't get an answer to that. My vehicle is a 2020 GMC Acadia Denali with 15k left on full warranty, and zero scratches, dings, or dents, to include all weather floor mats throughout since the day I bought it. Believe me, I'd keep it if my job commute hadn't doubled in the last 6 months which requires better gas mileage. A big thank you to Bell Honda who inspected my car the next day, and immediately offered $35,000, unfortunately they couldn't get the color and trim I wanted for 6 weeks. I did find the exact car Earnhardt had at AutoNation Honda of Chandler for $260 less with no add-ons, and to top it off, they inspected my car, and offered $35,500 on the spot. Again, thanks to Bell & AutoNation Honda for being fair and honest dealerships to work with. As for Earnhardt, I just don't understand how a business could be so deceptive and dishonest. I will spread the word about my experience, to include a letter to the Luke AFB legal office describing my experience. Asked them again, can you beat this deal, it should be simple, either a yes or no, but they just couldn't seem to say yes or no. All I needed was to buy a dealer key and have it programmed! I called Earnhardt and after much fuss with the parts department, they were able to finally instruct me to get my key by getting on the service line and buying the key and have it programmed all in one shot. My previous experience had taught me that everything could be done with the Parts Dept. OK, so I showed up the next day and I was told that since I didn't have an appointment, it'd take at least 2 hours. They could have advised me that when I called the first time but didn't. So I decided to make an appointment with the cashier immediately by registering all my information; then it just seem so complicated so I decided to call back for an appointment when they have more time since it was taking so much time. My previous experience getting a key programmed in Paul Miller Honda in NJ was done literally by the Parts guy at counter instantly so it just seem so involved here, just to get a key. On Tuesday, 2/27, I was online trying to make an appointment when the Earnhardt chat rep engaged me to help. I gave her all my vehicle, contact, & email information again (2nd time) that I already provided to the cashier the previous day. After all that, she told me she was only going to forward the info to the service dept so someone should be in touch, gee, that was a LOT of HELP, I should have called the Service Dept directly. I told her I wanted an appointment at 3pm, it was 10:30am. After 90 mins of waiting, noone called me, so I called the Service Dept to inquire and was told they had no information about my earlier chat exchange. The young lady apologized and took my information for the 3rd time at 12:30pm. I arrived early and checked in at 2:45 for my 3pm appt. No one greeted me; I was later told Alex Diaz was my guy. We stood at the counter for a good 5 minutes with no one acknowledging us. Finally Alex came to us and started taking down info, no intro, no hello. He then asked me what time did I make the appt since he had checked earlier and I wasn't on his "list". Gee, sorry, I wasn't tasked with coordinating Honda's internal communication, but O. Alex seemed annoyed that I was a surprise to his workload (I only saw 3 other order on the table; it wasn't like he was doing the work!), all the time looking like he was disinterested and unengaged. Can someone please remind him that he's there to work, he's not doing me a favor! We handed the car key to him before 3pm. By 3:10, Alex came back and asked for my address/contact info (4th time I'm providing this) bec he said there was no contact info on me. At 3:15pm, I got a text from Alex to contact him if I need anything. At 3:23pm, I went to see Alex for an ETA, he said, "it takes at least an hour to cut and program a key." I told him that I was told by the lady who made the appt that they would work on my car on time if I have an appt. and my experience was much quicker at other dealers. In the mean time, one of their salesman came over and started trying to sell all customers on a new car, or any car! I was really annoyed by this unwelcomed sales tactic when all I want was to get a key reproduced and get the hell to my next appt. At 3:35pm, I asked Alex again for my car's ETA and he said he didn't think they even started yet and looked clearly annoyed that I was even inquiring. At that point, I decided, I wanted my car back and will never come back to this below par dealership again. He summoned my car to be pulled up. No one questioned me who I was when I got my car; no one apologized, no one seem to care. OMG, this would never happen to Paul Miller or Joyce Honda in NJ where they treat their customers like royalty! I will go to Surprise Honda or elsewhere to be treated professionally. It seems to me that Dealership is totally disorganized, unsympathetic, unprofessional, disconnected and no doubt, not at the top of their game. They handled my simple car key purchase as if I was changing over to a new engine. If they can't handle something so simple, I surely would not allow them to take care of anything else. I wonder if they'd have my contact information right by now... Be warn, go somewhere else to spend your money! read more

I keep my stuff in there a certain way so it was obvious someone had gone through it. I brought it up with the service manager and she went on to make an excuse for whoever it was saying, "Well they are young men that work here." In her 10 years, she said, it was the first time... yeah that she knew of. How many other people have gone through service here and not noticed small things missing out your car? She said she would bring everyone in and talk to them but "as you know they probably won't be forthcoming." So yeah I know they won't. So whoever it was will still be working there. Won't be bringing my car for service here again as long as there is possibly a thief working there. read more

Made an appointment to come down on the 29th of June. Arrived at 830, only yo be ignored for the first 10-15 minutes. When Jerry came out to my car, I explained the issue with my car. He said it would have to stay overnight because they didn't have time to look at it that day. What was the point of the appointment then? I took an entire day off from work and drove 35 miles to make the appointment, so I could have my car fixed. I was then told they have no loaners to give me and that I'm basically screwed for a couple more weeks. Complete incompetence at this dealership. I've placed a call to the service manager, with no call back. I cannot recommend enough that you purchase a car from another dealership. It's funny that their slogan is "No Bull" , when all they are is bullshit. My next step is to call the corporate office read more

We bought a used car here. Everything was sold as is. We read the reviews and thought they felt trustworthy. Within 30 days of buying the car, the alternator goes out and another dealership tells us other rubber components are starting to crack. I play around with the sound settings and discover half of the speakers in the van don't work. Earnhardt offered us little to no help in fixing it. Upon purchasing the car they did offer for us to BUY a warranty which we declined. IF THEY DID THEIR "MULTI POINT INSPECTION", WHICH THEY STATED SEVERAL TIMES THEY DID, THEY SURE DID LIE OR NEGLECT TO TELL US ABOUT A LOT. I assumed that we were buying a certified pre-owned Honda which it was not. What we bought had no certification whatsoever. Had I known any of this I still would have taken it to a mechanic to discover the problems as if I were buying from a private party. They didn't even give us an owner's manual for the car or for their alarm system. I had to call 5 times before I got them to send the alarm system manual, which I repeatedly asked not to have installed. As a standard practice on all vehicles they offer an aftermarket alarm system, aftermarket window tint, a clear coat on the car, and a trim to protect the edge of the door. Their initial cost for all of this was $1600. I told them I didn't want alarm system and any of those things, they came down to $400 which they ended up saying was their "recon" cost of changing fluids. After we drove off the lot and reviewed the charges they actually billed us for the alarm in a different cost. The only bright spot in dealing with all of this was the salesman, Elmer, was very nice and courteous. When calling to ascertain about fixing the car, some of those helping us said "this is terrible and if I ran the place I would offer to repair it, try calling our manager". I called the manager who didn't even give me the courtesy of returning my call. The "management" who did return my call said we might give you a small deal on the repairs if you get it to us. It's not real safe or easy to get a van with a broken alternator to a dealer over an hour away. They said that as part of that deal they would cover either a tow truck or rental car, but it sounded like they wouldn't then offer anything else. That tells me that MANAGEMENT HERE IS DISHONEST AND DISRESPECTFUL. read more

Had a terrible buying experience from Earnhardt. I was told and committed a different price over the phone and email and when I reached the dealership after driving 40 miles from my home, I was told another price. Also, I was lied about the choice of my color, and when I signed up the papers, I was told that I will have to choose another color since they didn't had the color that I wanted. There were no price negotiations and I had to buy the car at very high price and compromise on the color as well since most of the paperwork including the credit pull was already done. 21750 OTD Honda Fit EX APR 5.99% General manager and finance manager said that they don't control the APR Interest Rate, so they can't do anything about it. (Which is not true based on my research). They lied. They kept talking about making monthly payments. This is how it began: Robert Speer (the sales consultant) knew from past experience with me and my family that talking about monthly payments doesn't work with me, so he focused more on decreasing the OTD price. He brought in Leo, an assistant manager. And Leo offered an OTD about 1,750 more - 2,000 than what Robert had discussed with me. When I wouldn't agree with Leo's OTD price, he brought in the finance manager, Rafi. Rafi talked about monthly for a bit, but he eventually got the OTD price back to what Robert had talked about. We agreed on $21,750 OTD for the Fit EX. But when I began the process of signing the document, and saw the APR Interest rate 5.99% and how the 60 month payment of $322 would end up to about $25,000. My gut told me that was too high, since I had a perfect credit report. Even if I was a first time buyer. There was the issue of me being under a policy holder's insurance, and the dealer wanted proof that I had insurance, which is my own fault for not looking ahead for insurance quotes. But luckily for that, it stalled the pressure that I got from Rafi to get me to continue signing. He showed a vibe of being very impatient and agitated with me taking a long time talking on the phone to get the insurance problem sorted out. General Manager said that APR interest doesn't matter. And that the big picture is the making monthly payments. Told him, and finance manager Rafi, that there would be a time period where we would not get paid or less, so making payments would be difficult. I asked the general manager that if we were not able to make the payments during that time, then the high interest rate would screw us over. And I asked him who is responsible for that? He said that we were. So in our mind, what he said about the APR interest rate not mattering do not any sense. I got to leave and he responded, "I'm not done yet, and turned to my wife and said, oh you like that?" His comment shows absolutely no respect or value. I sat down not of fear, but as a polite courteousy to listen. I no longer had the time or patience so we left and as we left, an even manager drove to the dealership and stopped me for a bit. He also talked about monthly payments. With him, I said the same thing as I did to the general manager and Rafi. When he said on other methods of transportation, I said, that unfortunately we'll have to find other ways like the bus, despite having to endure the heat during the summer. As I entered my car, I saw him walk into the dealership. The higher ups in that store kept going around with the monthly payments. Based on my research, focusing on that would screw us over. And so would the high APR % Interest rate, should we fail to not meet payments. The reason for the high APR is that's how they would make back the money on the back end to recover the low OTD price of $21,750. It would be as if I paid for the sticker price and more. I will wait for my credit union's pre-approval and sign up directly on Honda's finance myself. Main point is that I was lied to about the APR interest rate not mattering, and that they can't do anything about it. (My research contradicts highly). Also I found the general manager's comment of "I'm not done yet" and looking over to my wife, to something on the lines of, "Oh you like that?" I would have preferred to have been able to leave in a stable peace of mind, than leave in frustration. While others have had great experiences, I did not. And I will not recommend Earnhardt Honda because of it. read more

I came to this Honda Dealer to get service done and I'm not going to lie any details but tell the fact the service advisor Jesse went above and beyond to help me and even went out his way to find parts. I even had been so lucky to get a call from Cathy to help me get a rental on the last day of my quote since it was past the time frame they had stated,and took care of the price. (My car is a Honda civic 2002 EX) This review is for the fact I took my car in because I had told him exactly the fact that I came in because my Instrument Cluster wasn't working (the Speed wasn't moving so no miles were put on, the fuel gauge was a permanent ZERO so I wouldn't move unless you took the Cluster and the coolant wouldn't move, if you started moving the wiring in the back the speed and everything would work. Keep in mind my car had a Check engine light that came out of nowhere when the cluster gave out, they weren't there before. so going into the service he had told me that it was the cluster that gave the issue which makes no sense since a instrument cluster couldn't not cause the those codes that prompted up even if it completely failed. I was persistent but he wanted to change the cluster so I gave the ok, as well a cluster is not a cheap item. I paid over 500 for a used one from another dealership and they shipped it out to change the mileage to my broken one. mid way to getting into the time frame its at the dealer he states since my fuel tank had a fuel smell coming out and can smell in the cabin that's the reason why the gauge isn't working. I get it back and I explain to him that there is still some issues that the check engine came on. and still the same issues, he stated yes the diagnostics are pretty much to make sure what ever you brought it in for is the right issue in a simpler term. They had seen the check engine light and checked and said that its the transmission relay switch was bad and the SRS (airbag system impact switch was bad) I had said that my transmission gave out and had everything replaced, so that's impossible and the SRS system had to be replaced by the Honda recall given to my vehicle. Why would another Honda dealership install and airbag and not check the system? That would cause a horrible issue on the consumer since its a safety issue needed to be addressed. I drove home and the speed as soon as it reaches 80mph would go back down to 0mph then go back up, the D3 (Drive 3 Gear) doesn't power up. Two issues on a replaced cluster isn't possible. They also want me to replace my fuel tank since they think that's the issue my gauge isn't working. Makes no sense think about it how was it working before and all of a sudden 3 ITEMS stopped working once my Cluster went out. The fuel smell is because the O-Ring is worn and that's why you can smell fuel but its not the reason why my cluster light is on. I reached back out and wants me to come back but I don't have so much time to drop my car off for another quote. Very irritating, having to wait for half my cluster to work and pay 500 plus dollars. I wish people at the dealer would listen when a customer asks if they can check if there own diagnosis is correct, instead of looking at a computer and saying that's the issue. If you changed all my components still would had the check engine light and to change all of that is over 2000$. My car is a 2002 Civic Ex so its not worth 2 and a half grand. Has sentimental Value but not that much to screw me over. I'm someone what a mechanic but only reason I took it in because clusters with this year has miles in the cluster not the computer. As well it says Manufacturer code issue, take it in and says the computer doesn't know what it is. LIKE THEN WHO DOES!? Last thing EVERY Honda dealer needs to clean there car after a service, I get mine back and is SO dirty aswell somebody had no reason but used their fingers and drew on the inside of my sun roof windshield with hearts and a private part of a male but the scribbled out. SO IRRATATED immediately had to go pay for a car wash and hand wash the inside and outside. There are no children In my car ever and I always try to keep in the inside and outside clean since I am a clean freak. Who ever the mechanic is smart move I'm taking it up to corporate. read more

I recently took my car in for maintenance. No issue with service advisor or maintenance. Nice waiting area. No social distancing. No hand sanitizer. Staff huddled around computers not one with a mask. Had to pay with about 2 feet of service advisor. A person drove my car up with no mask or gloves. I just think they could make a minimal effort. The best experience hands down. Our salesman Arturo helped us trade in our 2008 ford f-150 for the full trade in value, and put us into a beautiful, brand new Honda accord (which we absolutely love!). Our truck payments were way too high and with a baby on the way he was able to get us into something we were comfortable paying for. The building itself is great! A play area for children, coffee, pastries, couches, and wifi. Everyone worked as fast as they could for us and we wouldn't have changed a thing. read more

Although he said he was new, he knew a lot about the cars and their features. There wasn't anything he had to check on (he could answer all of our questions). This was my first visit to Earnhardt Honda for recall work. I was met by a polite smiling attendant at the carport and he got my Service Advisor John Kelly who inspected the tires and interior of the vehicle and then took me inside the Dealership and get me a cold bottle of water and showed me to the waiting area while explaining the time for the work involved. The waiting area was well stocked with pastries, fresh fruit, newspapers and very comfortable chairs, pleasant atmosphere and a TV. The work was done within the time frame promised and Mr. Kelly came for me as soon as it was completed and got me checked out with no fuss. A great place to do business! If I could give ZERO stars they earned it. We normally get our 16 Honda Civic serviced at Tempe Honda but moving out to 75th ave we figured we'd go someplace closer. Husband Scheduled a wheel alignment, poor customer service. They did not bother to inform us that a simple wheel alignment would take 4 hours. They suggested the shuttle bus after waiting an hour and 45 mins. Which was free but once we were ready to be picked up it took them another hour for the pickup which we did not take. We took an Uber back to the dealership. Once we got to the dealership they informed us that the battery was suddenly dead and that the car wouldn't start so they needed to change our battery. & stated that added to our concern with the car not starting which we did not inform them to do to begin with. This was confusing because we simply went for a wheel alignment, that was it. Never said we had issues with our car starting. The car had recently been serviced a month prior with no indication that the battery was in bad condition. Then the guy said they did a multi point inspection but did not go over what they inspected or what diagnostics were ran on the car. Normally we're given a page with everything looked at or tested and there was no page given to us. Asked for our military discount and $116 later we were able to leave. When we left we had to look for our car instead of having it brought to us. Totally different service than what we're normally used to. If you want quality service and not have to wait 4 hours go to Tempe Honda. They'll take care of everything and explain issues while you wait so you're aware of what's happening with your car. Give you an estimated time of when the car will be done. & they won't have you out in the parking lot searching for your car. Nor do they make excuses for all the other nonsense they did to your car to justify why it took 4 hours. When Tempe Honda gets everything done in an hour. Definitely will not be returning here & will make the 30 min drive to Tempe Honda be take care of the way a customer should be. read more

If I could give this place ZERO stars I would!!!!! they are NOT deserving of my ONE star!!!. The experience there WAS HORRIBLE we were so close to closing a deal on a car, we literally dodge the biggest bullet! JACOB the worst salesperson I've ever met, he was all over the place forcing us to close this deal for his own BENEFIT!!! he didn't take our feelings into consideration or our opinion, or our concerns! HE WAS DESPERATE to make a SALE!! thank GOD for his lies and stupidity the sale didn't go through LOL!!!! he had said at first we didn't need to pay the down payment right then and there, that as longest we got the car full coverage insurance ready to go we could take the car! and take the down payment later that day lol because at that time we didn't have the money with us because we first needed to make sure it was what we wanted! so without knowing if that was true! we call our insurance paid for full coverage right then and there!!! and after being there for 6hrs!!!!!! we were sent back to finance to finalize the deal, after signing ALL the paperwork the finance guy asked us how we were gonna pay for the down payment cash or card! we then told him what JACOB had said! he then told us that we needed to give the down payment right then and there because without the down payment we couldn't take the car! he then said to go home and come back with the money! As we stepped outside we felt soo relieved me and my husband got home and were able to process everything that had happened and realized it was going to be such a BAD DEAL !! we never went back!!! So, fortunately, we went to Earnhardt Kia today 07/28/19 and we were treated with respect and acknowledgment! and a big thanks to a REAL professional salesman Paul Horak for getting us the SUV of our dreams, the whole process at Earnhardt KIA was smooth and fast with A VERY REASONABLE OFFER with a low APR! read more
