I met up with some of my faves for brunch at Echo & Rig. Never been, but have always wanted to try. I had already planned on getting the short rib hash, but when we ordered I stayed safe with the eggs all around. One of the managers, Beth I believe her name was, made her rounds to tables. It was nice seeing her check in with everyone. And our server Jessie was the best! He recommended his favorites and was very knowledgeable when we asked about the menu. Very bad experience the past 2 times here. Was a few Sundays ago. 1st time received raw chicken oysters. They didn't separate it well enough before frying. fries where undercooked as well and not hot- like they came from the fry bowl set on the side 2nd time I came here, salad had soo much sand, they didn't wash their greens before serving. Also my rib eye was overcooked. I give up. I don't even see a chef watching what comes out of the kitchen. Food like this should never hit a table. Our whole table ordered a drinks as well. My girl never received her wine. She was the first to order. They forgot. We came here right after lunch before dinner. Menu is great if executed correctly. Fast food places are more consistent. I've mostly been here during happy hour, and it is definitely worth it! ! During happy hour draft beers are 3$ you can get steak and eggs for 2$!! I mean it's a small portion but for 2$!! It's worth it! I did order from the regular menu starters. I had the steak tartare and it was delicious! Very fresh. Everyone on the staff is super friendly! They make a great Sazerac! On other occasions I've had the chicken Cesar, and I was not a fan. I don't like when the lettuce leaves are full size it makes it hard to eat. The dressing wasn't great either. I've been here too many times to count, and I will continue to come back. The food is great, the ambiance is beautiful, prime location and excellent customer service. All the staff (for the most part) is attentive, friendly and professional- but Augustine, the busser, really stood out. He went above and beyond and it motivated me to write this review. Out of all of my visits, I remember Lauren and Oscar also- they are amazing servers. I highly recommend their brunch: Short Rib Hash, Breakfast Sandwich, bottomless mimosas (and you get to pour the amount of champagne vs orange juice which I loooove!) For dinner, the lasagna is really good, Portobello Mushroom fries are a must, all the steaks are incredible and you can grab your own cuts of meat to cook at home at the butcher shop on the 1st floor. I also enjoy the corn and Mac & cheese for sides. All of the cocktails are yummy but I'm personally a fan of their Bourbon Cassowary cocktail- it's very booze forward. We came for Mother's Day brunch. The jumbo prawns, portobello fries, and smoked salmon Benedict were great. The steak frites...was completely burnt. It was pretty much inedible. I let our waiter know, but he told me something about the meat hitting the grill at a high temperature. Looked up steak frites and didn't see a single steak that looked like the one we got. A little burnt is OK, but you can't serve a completely burnt steak and charge that kind of money. read more

Finally stopped had lunch at this place after many failed attempts to go. I really wanted to try their HH but everytime I would try it was a fail but I decided to just not worry about that and just come for lunch. And btw HH is everyday from 3-6pm. $1.99 steak and eggs I hear it's really tiny about 2 oz of steak but hey you can get 8oz steak for $8 if you think about it. My favorites were the calamari and the fried cauliflower. Omg I never thought I would die over cauliflower but it is just so addicting. It has a great crunch with a nice little kick to it. So freaking good. The Calamari was cooked very well and not at all chewy and it had a great spice to it. The MAC and cheese was also delicious. It wasn't too cheesy and they used the perfect macaroni size. We also got the grass fed filet mignon. I loved how they explain how their meats are grass fed, no preservatives, no steroids, all natural meats! It was cooked to absolute perfection and was cut for us when it came out. It came out with a awesome sauce. The staff are incredibly helpful and really know their menu. The bartender even hooked it up with a shot! Awesome fella. I will be returning for that happy hour tho! Location - Its about 20 to 25 from the strip but worth the drive to experience a different part of vegas, and check out other places here in the plaza. Food - Quality, portions, cuts, flavor and everything else is top notch couldn't as for anything better. Outstanding flavor, service, and quality. I would have given a five, but the owners need to do something about the noise in the restaurant (I was there with my wife and I could barely hear her conversation because of the noise). The restaurant has tile floors with no way of absorbing sound (it also didn't help that we were seated next to a table of five very inebriated patrons). :) But, please understand that I am complimenting this establishment in almost every other way. My wife had the Branzino fish and I had lamb chops. Both were outstanding and perfectly prepared. We shared a kale salad that was delicious, and we ordered calamari and grilled octopus as appetizers. Unbelievably good. Lastly, my compliments to the bartenders. Finally, someone in Las Vegas that knows how to pour a drink! Ordered the Spencer steak and the southern fried chicken salad. The steak was unevenly cooked and extremely chewy, almost like rubber. The salad looked like something you would receive at Denny's or worse. One of the worst tasting salads I've ever had. Located in Tivoli Village, there's a lot to see while you walk around before or after your meal. Upstairs where the dining is, the lighting is perfect, the sound isn't too loud yet not quiet to the point you're scared of other people hearing your conversation. I've seen people celebrate birthdays, bachelor parties, or even just a casual weekend eat out. Food: The food is amazing. I get the fried olives, the bacon, and the ribeye cap cooked medium. Every single time, it's cooked to medium PERFECTION. There's a sauce I always forget the name of, but they're all really good. The fried olives and bacon, honestly, there's no better way to start your evening. The fried olives are crunchy and so tasty, and the bacon? I can't even describe the bacon, you really just have to try it for yourself and trust me, you won't regret it. Service: The service is unmatched. Never have I ever regretted or felt like giving $100 tip was too much. It is 100% deserved. We often request Hugo, who always remembers us and makes us feel welcome. He's friendly and makes us feel at home, checking up on us throughout our meal to make sure everything is to our liking, and making sure our glasses never get empty. We've had a fair bit of servers, and to be honest, they're all immaculate and in the upper echelon of what they do. However they train their staff, keep doing it. Never change it. Overall: This place is a must try, especially if you're a local not wanting to deal with tourists and traffic on the Strip. First visit was great but second visit with a party of 7 wasn't so great. Not sure if patio service is worse or server was too busy to give the same good service I received during the first visit. We were asked if patio seating was ok because it was a full house. Patio was pretty crowded and there were space heaters all around, we were also offered blankets if we needed. I don't remember who our server was but no meat platter was brought out and it took forever to flag him down. When he finally came to take our orders I asked about the meat platter since we were planning to pick a meat from there. Eventually someone came to show us the different types of meat and I believe it was $2.49 an oz for any cut on the platter. We decided to go with 2 tomahawks and a few sides. Our server did tell us food would take a while since the tomahawk was a thicker cut, but it was accurate. I think he estimated about 45 minutes. Bread was brought out with whipped butter. I wasn't too fond the whipped butter because it was like we weren't eating any butter! It was very airy. For the 7 of us, we shared 7 different sauces which was disappointing because I thought it would have been 2 servings of each sauce since we did order 2 tomahawks. Some of the sauces ran out quicker than the others. The lemon chimichurri and red wine demo were our least favorite and the horseradish, charred onion and mushrooms were our favorites. We ordered our tomahawks cooked medium but both came out medium rare. The centers were a bit too pink for my liking so I ate the ends. Even so, the tomahawk was really good. For 3 of us, the 33 oz was a little small so I'd recommend at least 40 oz between 3 people. I highly recommend their cauliflower and portobello mushrooms. Calamari wasn't crispy enough for my liking so I'll pass on that and Brussels sprouts next time. We did not see our server again until the end of our meal. He was friendly, but service wasn't on par with what I expected. I think they automatically put on 20% gratuity for groups of 6 or more. read more

Todays review is based on our breakfast this morning. We arrived at 10 am seated promptly manger stopped by table we are of to a good start. We order our coffee and juice order a crab cake it arrives it was great. Now the down hill starts we wait 30 minutes no breakfast everyone around us Is eating. We ask for the manager to ask when our breakfast would be coming. He goes to check and comes back and says he has rushed our breakfast. But we had a crab cake as our first course. I have never heard of breakfast being coursed and if it is we still shouldn't have had to wait. When we did get our breakfast the toast was hard the eggs were overcooked. This breakfast was regrettable . The response from management and server was not what I would expect when it was obvious that they forgot to place our order. read more

Holy Moly - this place is yummy! I don't often indulge myself with day drinking and/or brunch but I'm so glad a friend invited me to celebrate her birthday. There were 12 of us so we had two tables of 6. The tables were quite fast away so it was difficult to converse with the other table but I get it. I ordered the short rib hash and it was amazing. Highly impressed that when I sadly said to our server I don't eat paprika so I guess I have to omit the paprika hollandaise sauce, he replied oh we can make you hollandaise without paprika! I love that. The unlimited $16 mimosa is now $18 and only one bottle. It's still listed wrong on website & menu which is weird and confusing. Also not ideal that you have to keep track how many bottles you ordered & the table drank. But the food & service is excellent and that outweighs anything else. I didn't check out the butcher but my friends were excited to try it, although they were out of bacon so she was a little sad. An amazing experience everyone must have! We came for two birthdays and it did not disappoint, in fact it exceeded our expectations. Its a little bit aways from the LV Strip, but I thought it looked worth the 30 minute drive. First off, we ordered some appetizers for the table. Everyone loved the bone marrow carne asada. The lamb cigars were very tasty but it was more a flavor of feta cheese than lamb. My personal favorite was the pork belly burnt ends. Perfection like I've never tasted before. A definite must-order. The mac and cheese was not good as I expected. The birthday couple ordered the Tomahawk steak. Our waiter even brought over the steak before they cooked it to be sure thats what they wanted and to show the size. They said it was amazing, the crust on it was absolutely delicious. I ordered the pork chop which came with a pineapple sauce and ube mash. I don't usually order pork chops, but this one called me and it was tender, savory, and juicy. The ube mash was on another level. Ube is a purple yam and this mash had a similar taste to mashed sweet potatoes. It also came with a veggie that I'm not sure what it was but it was good. The others ordered the ribeye cap and the spencer steak. Both were outstanding. The steaks came with chips and mushrooms. The chips were great but it came with a lot. The mushrooms were delicious! Our service was A++, Ari and Raphael made us feel like we were the only diners in the restaurant, as well as the other staff. Our reservation was for an hour before their closing time, but even when they closed they did make us feel rushed. Our waiter was so thorough with describing all the food and super friendly. The drinks were also great. The Hot Mess, Sangria, and Black & Blue were all delicious. For the amazing quality of everything, I'm surprised that the prices were so reasonable.
