Service was super slow this day. We came in right when they opened and we were the only customers but it took 30 minutes for our order to come out. I got the tan tan men and it was just okay. Nothing special. The broth was a little over salted and for taking so long i dont think my noodles were cooked all the way, they were still stuck together. Ill have to try their other Ramen more later in the day during another visit

We enjoyed our takeout order this evening. Our order was called in to a very friendly employee. She repeated the order over the phone and indicated when it would be ready. We were greeted by a friendly employee. She proceeded to help patrons on her way back to the kitchen. Our food was ready as promised. Nicely packaged and was still hot when we got home. Best of all the portion of food was plentiful and very tasty! The yelp menus online were very dated. I captured updated menu images and posted.

What to do when having dark and gloomy days? We decided to come to our favorite Edokko Japanese restaurant for lunch. It sits in Pocket area in Sacramento. It is small but very cozy place and has hundred of tasty Japanese comfort foods. We have been coming here over 30 years since our kids were little. It's the best and probably only one Machi Chūka style restaurant in Northern California. And the prices are very reasonable.

It was amazing!! If you're looking for an omakase that is reasonably priced & will actually make you full, go to Hinoka! Chef Joey was super friendly & informative about each dish. We were quickly seated and drink order taken as soon as we sat down. The waitress was super attentive the whole time. We started with an oyster shooter that was spicy and then some Asahi beer that always hits the spot. I tried their spicy tuna hand roll and it was ok. I like it with more flavor and/or cream cheese. Next we had half dozen oysters with some lemon juice and wasabi they were small but fresh with lots of masago. I made my husband try a Sake bomb since he had never had one and it was hilarious. They have reasonable prices and a clean bathroom. We always had our water glass full and taken care of. Great choice, close to our home and great service.

If you're into jasmine milk tea or just want something super refreshing, this is the perfect drink. My friend even said it was one of the best coffees she's ever had! My sister and I always come here for their udon noodles too. I even bonded with my hairstylist over our shared love for Engawa Fusion because we're both constantly craving it! The parking lot is on the smaller side, but I've never had trouble finding a spot. The workers are always the sweetest and so welcoming, and the space itself is beautiful with such a cozy ambiance. Came out 10ish mins maybe not long. Main ramen looked pretty good, comes with ground meat. Flavoring is pretty good, i like the peanut butter addition. Katsu curry don wasnt bad, their donburis r pretty small portion i would say, lots lots lots of rice. Their curry was nothing special jus reg japanese curry, for 15$ its okay tho. Overall prices on their main dishes r pretty cheap, so for the portion its not bad. Service and taste wise nothing special but nothing bad.

There is a designated parking lot across the street, so it's easy to grab a spot and walk over. Just be careful because the parking spots in the lot aren't well marked and it's easiest to just park neatly next to other cars. We like to sit at the bar if there's just two of us, and will grab a table when we have friends. If you want to make sure you have a table, you can make a reservation ahead of time, but we usually don't need to wait too long. Our favorites are the brussel sprouts, karaage chicken, and their nigiri. We also really enjoy the sukiyaki, it's really flavorful and perfect for cooler or rainy weather. We still need to come by for brunch, but we've heard good things. The team here is always friendly, and we've been in enough that some of them recognize us now.

We orderd the loco moco and breakfast fried rice with scrambled eggs. The eggs were deliciously scrambled. The fried rice was ok. The big concern was my burger patty was really burnt. The consistency and flavor of the gravy was interesting. We were the first visitors of the day so I'd say while it eventually filled up, not sure the reason behind burned food. Also, with a full bar, bloody marys were not available. Really unfortunate for brunches. However, I understand this is mainly a sushi joint? So maybe I will need to come back for sushi sometime.
