I appreciate a good egg sandwich! Egghill was good to me, truly more upscale or "craft" as they describe themselves. I loved the texture of the eggs. They were soft and fluffy without being runny. Runny Scrambled eggs kinda gross me out lol. Their love for eggs is shown in their cooking technique. The arugula added a fresh component. The sausage added that solid texture that was desired since the overall egg sandwich was light. I skipped on the "good sauce" since I'm not a fan of condiments/sauces and I'm glad I did. I'm not sure how it would have added to the already soft sandwich. The (sides) Grits and tator tot casserole sounded delicious but I didn't get to try them this visit. It is tucked in the corner of a small plaza, there is a parking lot as well as street parking. The inside decor is cute. Loved the bright sunny morning vibe and the egg themed wall decorations. Customer service was of course superb! And while I loved it, my dining companion did not. He said "It was a good sandwich, but why am I paying close to $15 for an egg sandwich." He doesn't appreciate the quality ingredients and cooking techniques like I do. He wouldn't go back, but I would. Honestly exceeded my expectations for an egg sandwich. They cook and season everything masterfully! I also got the tater tot casserole. HIGHLY recommend! Beware of parking and seating situations. I don't usually leave negative reviews, but if I had seen a review like I'm about to leave it would have been very helpful to me in making a decision on where to grab breakfast as I was trying to multi task and eat/while doing some work on my laptop. If you want the short version of why I do not recommend: outrageously expensive parking ($7.55/hour), no hot (specialty) coffees (I wanted a latte), no wi fi. If you want to know the sequence of events: I was in the area in between an early morning appointment and early afternoon appointment. I needed to kill about two hours, and I needed breakfast and coffee. I looked in Yelp and there were several well reviewed restaurants close. I thought Egghill's style would be more suitable for doing some work on my computer while eating, so I came here. I parked in the parking lot in front of the restaurant. The hourly rate was $7.55. Before paying, I ran in to ask if they validate parking. They don't. But parking on the street is free. I told them I'd order and then move my car. Strike one. (Parking is kind of hard around here, but I was here early so I found something about a three to five minute walk away.). Next, while ordering, I asked if they made lattes. No. They have drip coffee and a cold brew you can buy from the fridge along with juices. They recommended I walk out back and down the parking lot to a coffee stand (about two or tgeee minutes). So I did. Strike two. After I made it back from getting my my coffee, re-parking my car and grabbed my sandwich I sat down to eat and work. The whole time I had been ordering and coming and going, I had been carrying my laptop (and told the man taking my order I would be doing a little work). After getting seated I asked for the wifi and they informed me they didn't have public access wifi. Big time Strike three. The other two issues alone would not have prompted me to write a review. The sandwich was good/fine/enjoyable, but I am fairly positive that I will not back. I don't need wi do every time. I don't need coffee every time. But when I do, I usually look for places like this. This did not do the job. And besides, there are tons of other places in the area that will serve you coffee, offers easier parking, and promoters lingering by offering wifi. read more

I was unable to finish it which is NOT my typical style when it comes to sandwiches of any kind - these are MASSIVE and would make the perfect hangover cure or just great breakfast on the go. However, the kind, efficient staff who offered their customers gratis gutetama stickers made me feel at home for the few minutes I was able to spare the day I went in. There's a few different seating options: small cafe tables, a larger family-style table. It feels truly chill in here when you time your brunch right: there was only two other groups there when I went midday, mid-week. As with anything in Nashville, timing is everything to avoid the crowds. There are plenty of beverages, and they promote other local businesses, including Osa Coffee right down the block. We were visiting Nashville for a few days and came across Egg Hill, which had great reviews on Google. The staff was incredibly friendly and even gave us some great recommendations for other places to check out during our trip. The restaurant is clean and tidy, with a self-serve station for water, iced coffee drinks and natural juices. It's a casual spot where you order at the counter and seat yourself. That paired with the Kraft single made the sandwiches feel really low quality. The grits were undercooked and bland. Our tater tot casserole had a black hair at the bottom of it - I wish I had taken a picture but we were just so disgusted. The atmosphere is really strange and just feels like a DoorDash restaurant. I know an egg sandwich sounds simple but The good sauce on The Egghill sandwich gives this sandwich a character of its own, with nice sweet and tangy addition to the fluffy eggs, Tennessee Cheddar fresh arugula. And we can't for get about the sides the Parmesan, chive, and potato mixture of the Tatar tot casserole blended well with my sandwich. The ingredients are all local and cooked perfectly. My egg was fluffy and delicious and everything about this sandwich was great, including the perfectly toasted and fluffy bun their sandwiches are served on. Most people seemed to get their order to go, but there's a few tables inside and cute decorations on the walls. We ordered 2 of the The Mustache breakfast sandwiches, the hashbrown casserole and the grits. The sandwiches were delicious - great flavor, loved the arugula and the bacon was so thick and flavorful. The hashbrown casserole was eh, mediocre at best (I wouldn't order it again). Now I don't want to say this, but the grits were terrible. There is no way this is how they usually taste. It tasted like someone had accidentally poured too much heavy cream into the mixture... the grits had the consistency of soup, and all we could taste was the heavy cream. They were pretty disgusting, but this has to be a one off, because there is NO WAY those are normally made like that. We ordered all of this through Uber Eats, so I can't speak to service. I would definitely order the breakfast sandwiches again, but would skip the sides. read more

Finally got around to trying this place that opened recently! Egghill is a cute, tiny establishment with a handful of tables inside and just a couple of employees on any given day. They offer a brief yet thoughtful menu of breakfast sandwiches, as well as two or three side options. Everything is served in to-go containers, and the sandwiches are made to order, so I recommend ordering ahead online if possible. I got the Egghill, which is the one vegetarian sandwich on the menu. The soft scrambled eggs were done perfectly, and the thick slice of cheddar melted on top and the fresh bun were both delicious as well. I absolutely love that everything comes with arugula, as it perfectly brightens up the richness of the sandwich. Honestly, the Egghill was so flavorful & moist that I will probably ask them to just leave off the sauce the next time around. I can only imagine how flavorful the sandwiches with meat must be! Not sure if the owner reads these reviews, but given how new this place is & the fact that I'm definitely going to return, I'm going to make some requests! First, it would be amazing to get a meat other than sausage, bacon, or pulled pork for those of us who can't eat pork -- even if you just had a breakfast sandwich on special that had turkey bacon, chicken sausage, or brisket, I would love to try it.
