Really enjoyed our breakfast here! The host was attentive, and our server was funny and made the whole experience even better. The food was delicious, and everything came out in a timely manner. My only tip is to join the waitlist before you go because the line can get pretty long. Definitely worth it though!

I don't often leave negative reviews, but I felt this experience was worth sharing. After waiting in line for 50 minutes, the service was disappointing. The food was just okay - nothing particularly memorable or worth coming back for. The Fresh Ahi Burger was dry and overcooked, which was especially disappointing. The presentation and attention to detail were lacking. A Bloody Mary served with a rim of regular table salt and vodka simply poured on top of the tomato juice instead of being properly mixed was disappointing, especially for such a popular place. Unfortunately, we wouldn't recommend this "famous" restaurant to our friends or colleagues. There are many better options in the area.

Perfect brunch spot. Friendly service and delicious food :) We usually like to try different restaurants while on vacation, but loved Eggs n Things so much we came here twice. The sides of potatoes are a must!! We got the steak and eggs, mochi waffles, island fried rice, breakfast burrito, and ENT burger. Super convenient location -- the wait time can get long so join the waitlist on Yelp & you can either walk around some of the shops or stay in your hotel while checking your spot in line via the Yelp app.

Steak was delicious with the Kona coffee rub. I added side of kimchi for my rice. My husband loved his guava burger said it was like a high end rodeo burger :) POG & Orange Mimosas was a treat! Great service, very patient as we scrolled through the many options for breakfast. Epic views too! Enjoy!

Avg food but very photogenic & filling, long wait. A giant cockroach crawled onto the waiting area sent guests scattering. Good service & we were lucky to score a table with the beach view. Coffee was strong & solid

Food was actually really good especially being right on the beach. You are paying for that view, there are cheaper breakfast spots but you may not have a beach right there. One boy got Keiki pancakes with chocolate chips, and the other got the Hawaiian pancake sampler. I didn't want anything big so I looked at getting something that would reheat well later. I ended up with the breakfast burrito with Portuguese sausage and it was actually really good!! Service was great.

Visited Eggs n things with a group of 4 (3 adults and a toddler). We made the mistake of not joining the waitlist prior to getting there as they were packed. When signing in on the tablet out front it estimated a 25-30 minute wait which turned into just over an hour. Once we made it inside we were promptly greeted by our server and put in our drink order and meals since we already knew what we wanted due to the wait. The views were great and it was really chill inside. Food and drink came quickly and didn't disappoint appoint. I had the POG juice and the strawberry Nutella mochi waffle. The flavors were great and everything was so fresh. I didn't try anyone else's food at the table but they all loved it. I almost took away a star only because of the wait but can't but the blame on them

First of all, if you love breakfast, this is a great place for you. Be sure to add your name to the waiting list on Yelp about an hour before you want to eat -- unless you're an early bird and are there when they open the doors at 6 am. And I've been there and done that and you still have to wait in a line -- they fill this tiny restaurant as soon as the doors open. So what's great? Kalbi beef and eggs with kimchi. Macadamia nut pancakes with coconut syrup. Loco moco. There are crepes and omelets and French toast and eggs Benedict's, too. But you're in Hawaii, so get something Hawaiian. And there are a lot of locally items. And the Iced tea is brewed and refreshing. If you're lucky, you'll get a booth next to the open windows that overlook Waikiki Beach. I've never been lucky and had those seats but that's okay. The food is the star.

Kent was amazing!! So kind and sweet. The food quality was great, with good portions. The view of the ocean creates a nice ambiance with an ocean breeze. This place is good so it can be busy, I recommend putting my your name in through Yelp to mitigate the wait period during peak hours.

Great food and big portion sizes almost too big I felt terrible I couldn't finish it all! But it came out fast and was hot and fresh. The server was very nice and we were given the option to sit at the counter va a table so we could be seated faster. It was a little loud inside because it's a lot of people in a small space but otherwise it was clean and the staff were friendly and efficient!

I'm not usually one to leave negative reviews, but I felt compelled to share this experience. I paid a $30 for a to-go order and was extremely disappointed with what I received. The portion size and presentation were nowhere near what was advertised, and the meal felt incomplete. For the price, I expected much better quality and value. As a local from Hawaii, I always try to support local businesses, which makes this experience even more disappointing. I'd highly recommend looking elsewhere.

I suggest checking in online or expecting a decent wait. The location is small with limited seating, so the staff can only do so much for turnaround time. Nonetheless, the staff are VERY quick. From sitting down to getting our food, we had less than a five minute wait. I went with the crepe special which was the Ube Banana Crepes and they were wonderful. Not overly sweet and pleasantly filling. Would highly recommend. read more

We have visited Waikiki well over 20 times and never stopped and ate at Egg's N Things. This trip, New Year we thought let's stand in line and try it. Service was EGGCELLENT...LOL! The place is old...I mean OLD!!! Needs refurbishing badly!!! The breakfast, Eggs n Portugués sausage was a 4 out of 10. Cold overcooked eggs, very cool and tasteless potatoes!!! The sausage was good Coffee, decent but not a dark roast. Now as for the Macadamia Pancakes with a cream of coconut syrup...Yummy!!! Really delicious. This place is a must try when you are in waikiki beach . Been here 3 years in row and we always come for breakfast. Yes there is a wait time but it's definitely worth it . Service is great and it's always clean . This diner has the old diner vibe in the heart of Waikiki. You can easily put yourself on the waitlist on Yelp or add your name to sign in sheet...which can easily exceed one hour wait between 8-11am. The menu offered the traditional loco moco but the description did not include macaroni salad, a staple in any Hawaiian plate. The waiter confirmed they don't have macaroni salad cause it's too hot to serve it. I ended up with the Hawaiian style fried rice served with eggs. Decent portion, but lacked any flavor. Wife ordered the Hawaiian sweet bread French toast and really enjoyed her dish. I would not return but I'm sure the wife would! Try your luck! read more

Loved this quaint spot just off the beach! While on vacation we ate here twice. The pancakes were phenomenal and my family enjoyed their meals as well. The only thing you have to keep I mind is that you have to get on the waitlist to be seated. You can do it at the restaurant via a kiosk that sits just outside the door or you can jump on yelp and waitlist yourself there. You'll receive updates on how long your weight will be. read more

It took a while to get seated, but when we stepped inside the restaurant, we realized that it's because there is very limited space. They get a grace card for the wait. Once we got seated, the waitress promptly came and took our order. We got our food very quickly. I'm sure they got to get those tables turned around as fast as possible. Our waitress was very friendly and did not come off as abrupt or like she was rushing us. The only negative is that we never saw her again until she brought us our bill. I ordered the ribeye with eggs (sunny side up), a side of potatoes along with the garlic shrimp. The shrimp very tasty and big! My steak was cooked like I requested, medium rare. The flavor was there, but it was a bit over salted. That's coming from a guy who puts salt on everything! I also ordered a bloody Mary. It wasn't my favorite. I'm not sure but I think that they might use V-8 for their bloody Mary mix. Maybe not, but that is what it tasted like. Also...no celery, no olives, no asparagus spears, etc. We ended up coming to a place called the Splash Bar once we left the restaurant. I will post a picture of the bloody Mary that I ordered here, which was excellent! Anyway, I left feeling satisfied and it wasn't at all a horrible experience. Just not great. read more

It's a definitely a big tourist spot where you have to add your name to the wait list. Takes anywhere from 75-90 mins. We didn't know the first time so we left. So we woke up the next day and added our name to the Yelp waitlist on the Yelp app and then showed up when it was our turn. The food is lovely. Taste homemade. But the service feels rushed and I get it because it's a popular spot with a lot of tourists traffic. read more

Food was fabulous. I ordered the breakfast burrito. Very yummy. My wife ordered the pancakes with fresh cream. Homemade and the best whip cream i ever had. Morgan was our waitress and Very attentive. The line was long and got longer while we were there so don't be late and stay on the wait list. The ambiance... was drap and small. But totally worth it read more

A few things to note: 1) You have to use the Yelp check in system for seating, no big deal, (you are here anyway right???) This place was great for breakfast! We went here on our last day before we got to the airport. It's a great view of the beach and the portions were big so it was plenty of food! The waiter was really nice and constantly checked in on us without us having to call her. This place had quite the wait time. I would suggest getting on the wait list via Yelp ahead of time but not too early as you need to be present with your party when they call you. The best place we had was the loco moco!! Traditional hawaiian breakfast and absolutely delicious. We ordered the portuguese sauce on the side since we weren't sure if we'd like it (we ended up really liking it) We also ordered the fluffy pancakes, i've never heard fluffier pancakes. Phenomenal views of the beach and a great spot for people watching. The breakfast was pretty good, I would say 3.5 to 4 stars. The portions were rather large and the service was friendly. I would say they could update the place a little more as you can tell it's a bit dated. The guava bar was delicious and flavorful and just crumbles in your mouth! Definitely one of the better guava bars I've tried. Love how crumbly it is. The salmon belly was delicious OMFG. It looks so simple and straightforward but that sht is so flavorful. It is crispy and yet soft on the inside. The salmon belly is cut into bite-sized pieces so I didn't have to worry about using a knife to cut it. I usually try salmon belly where it is usually seasoned lightly to bring out the natural flavor of the salmon, but Guava Smoked's salmon belly is just grilled in a way that makes the salmon sweet/crispy and still get traces of the salmon taste as well. It's definitely not your traditional Japanese-style way of cooking salmon belly but really just their own. I'd go back and get this again. Another thing too. I'd get this with beer. This would hit very hard with alcohol but because I don't drink I need a kombucha. The grilled salmon belly would go perfect with it. Cheers! The laulau was quite dry, and the preparation felt more like meat that had been boiled or cooked in liquid, which isn't something I usually enjoy. The lechon kawali had a crispy pork belly texture, topped with something similar to a salsa, but it didn't suit our taste either. Unfortunately, the cabbage served with it also had some black spots, which was off-putting. The BBQ short ribs were the highlight of the meal and the dish we enjoyed the most. All the plates were $26.00 and up. 3. Food - The poi was very tasty and fresh, although a bit watery. The lau lau had a lot of lean pork filling, not a lot of leaves. The long rice didn't have much chicken and was a bit watery too. We enjoyed the sweet potato. There was also lomi salmon, haupia onion and chili pepper water. 4. As mentioned before there isn't much parking. The restaurant wasn't busy when we got there. Overall the food and service was OK. The price was a bit high.

The restaurant is right next to the water so it is a very popular spot for dinner and they usually have a waiting list, so beware! Also, once you are on the waiting list, seating is first come first served, so you can't make any special requests to sit closer to the windows. With that being said, we got lucky and secured a really nice table with perfect sunset views, not too close to get splashed by waves (it happened to some people). For the food, we ordered a few pizzas, as well as the wings and a side of broccoli. All the pizzas are handmade and are more of a "personal" size. The pizzas were absolutely delicious and made to perfection. The wings were more of a mediterranean style and were delicious! Frankly I had never had anything like that before and I was obsessed. Also, the broccoli was cooked with some pepper flakes that gave it a very delicious flavor. Overall, everything was amazing and the staff was also five-star!

People were staking out tables more than an hour before the show, and when the patio was being cleared, there was a line of people waiting to put down their names. We were fortunate to grab a table in the upper deck area (it's not clearly labeled, but the circular tables by the bar are first-come, first-serve), and we ordered some drinks and appetizers while we waited. Yes, the prices are higher and portion sizes are smaller than what you get, but it's for the view and entertainment. Our servers were attentive and were very good about refilling our water cups, which I really appreciated. Henry Kapono was great, and after we were done with our meal, we went out to the patio to join folks who were enjoying the music. People were dancing in front of the stage area, socializing with other guests, and enjoying the wonderful weather, drinks, and music. What more can you ask for when you're visiting Hawaii? :)

The fish was nicely cooked and a paired well with the rice and salad. His came with a nice side of taro chips, and my side of tortilla chips and salsa were fine, but not necessary with the generously portioned tacos. And my Hula-Rita was festive and refreshing.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Eggs and Things in Waikiki, and let me tell you, it was egg-cellent! From the moment I called, Giselle was as sweet as maple syrup on pancakes. She even gave me a tip to put my name on Yelp's list before arriving. Talk about cracking the code to a smooth dining experience! The manager, Ryan, was like a breakfast superhero. I swear, I saw him hustling around the restaurant, taking care of tables and making sure everyone was happy. He must have a secret power to spread joy and butter on toast because he truly is an awesome leader. Our server, Keith, deserves a special shoutout for his patience and kindness. I was so indecisive about which French toast I wanted (I mean, who can blame me?), but Keith was there, guiding me through the sweet and savory choices like a breakfast guru. He deserves a medal for dealing with my breakfast-related dilemmas. The best part? Despite the place being super busy with the breakfast rush, we never felt rushed out. The service was on point, and our food came out quicker than you can say "sunny-side up." We ordered the Sweet Bread French Toast with Strawberries. Traveling to Honolulu for business and tried to find a breakfast place close to our hotel in Waikiki that wasn't super pricey and was within walking distance. Found it in Eggs 'n Things! We managed to walk to the line when it was short...we later found out that was because they were about to close down for the afternoon before reopening for dinner...oooops! But apparently we just made the cut-off. It is an odd way to order...order at the stand, go in and pay, then get seated and the food is brought out. I'm sure it's to cut down on the dine & dash crowd. I ordered the combo with bacon and eggs along with a "clover" of pineapple macadamia nut pancakes. Oh my heavens...salty and sweet nirvana. The bacon was crisp, but not burnt, the eggs over medium as requested. Nothing fancy, but well executed. The pancakes were dessert! Good lord if you put syrup on these things, you are braver than I am. 3 pancakes with pineapple inside with a gigantic cone of whipped cream in the middle sprinkled with chopped macadamia nuts. I ALMOST couldn't finish it all, but powered through. A meal like this fills you up for quite a while, and dinner was definitely light and much, much later. Thank you Yelp for leading me through this place. Yes, maybe a bit touristy and diner-esque with efficient service and not the most modern decor, but the food was definitely on point. Absolutely the worst experience ever! We have eaten here few times as we live in Kauai and hop to Oahu as our daughter goes to college there. We checked in with 3 of us for breakfast. we had just sat down and our daughter who lives there wanted to join last min. I asked the hostess if we could move to a larger table as our daughter was coming - she told us yes, proceeded to clean the table off, moved us over- then the server came back and said that our daughter could not join us, she couldn't sit at the table , she needed to go join the waitlist and wait to be seated. I explained that we asked the hostess and she moved us no problem, so 3 of us at 4 seat table, daughter wasn't allowed to come into the restaurant and sit nor could she order food, but the 3 of us could sit at a 4 person table and eat the chair had to stay empty. It just didn't make any sense, we added 1 to our group, they cleaned the table and moved us then told us No- the manager wouldn't allow it either. They were quite miserable to deal with, rude about it and logistically didn't make any sense. So, don't frequent the Waikiki location - chose another location with friendlier staff or better yet choose another local restaurant all together to give them your business- as ours wasn't appreciated nor did they really care. read more

During our stay in Waikiki, my wife and I decided to kick off our day with a hearty breakfast at Eggs 'n Things, and we're glad we did! While there was a bit of a wait, we highly recommend using Yelp to join the queue and save time. Once we were seated, we dove into the island-inspired menu. I opted for the Signature Rainbow pancakes, which were as delicious as they were photogenic, and my wife enjoyed the satisfying Breakfast Meat n Eggs. To complement our meals, we indulged in refreshing Guava and Pineapple juices that perfectly captured the flavors of Hawaii. The service was decent, and the view from our table added to the overall experience. While the prices were a bit on the higher side, we found that the quality and taste made it worth it for a special vacation treat. Tourist trap! I have eaten here many years back, and this breakfast joint was better. Who knows why it changed, but the real surprise comes from the added line charges you are not aware of. There are two. You are being nickeled with a kitchen service, and then you're charged to pay for using a credit card. WTF? A kitchen charge? Pay your employees more, and raise your prices. The tourist will pay. A charge to pay by credit card? Raise your prices if you're that cheap of a business owner. The tourist will pay it. Let's talk about the food. The menu holds many options. Mainly grease dishes or carbs loaded with sugar. The ahi was nice, but this joint's idea of spicy anything is bland nothing. I let the water know, and he tried his best The other member of my party had the loco. Heavy rich that was enjoyed. The coffee is weak, and we didn't want second cup. In this course, I learned how to do tattoo removal, treat pigmentation, remove hair, and rejuvenate skin. The training was very hands-on, which helped me understand everything better. The instructors were amazing! They were knowledgeable, supportive, and always ready to help us learn. Their enthusiasm for the subject made the classes even more enjoyable. The only days we didn't were because we had scheduled events and didn't want there to be a timing conflict. I got something different everytime and honestly don't know what I could recommend. It's ALL good. My husband has been an IHOP fan for years and he said this blew ihop out of the water. I highly recommend. And if you have to wait, it's worth it!!! Went here for Brunch. Pretty crap. Super long wait. Here are a few of the things that bothered me: 1. Guy went around asking only in Japanese if people were ordering take out and brought them up the front of the line... Only after several times did he say anything in English. Guess we know who they cater to. Not locals, or Haoles that's for sure. 2. The food was down right crap. 3. Request tips for take out... (Personal pet-peve). My family went for breakfast twice and enjoyed our experience both times! Our favorites were the ahi and eggs and Kalua pork Benedict. Both were delicious and very affordable! It also had an amazing view of Waikiki beach! The one con is how busy it gets, but was made easier as we were able to sign in the waitlist online so we didn't have to wait too long! I went back because I left my sunglasses and the workers, 1 of them looked like the manager and the other guys kept coming back in forth from the kitchen were hitting on some of the tourist that were eating there. The queue is an online queue (join on tablet at entrance) where you can then see your place and go off and explore the beach or shops etc whilst you wait. I had the popular loco moco and I don't wish to say that it was disgusting but mushy fried rice with mushy onions and mushy mushrooms in an over salted brown gravy (like made from a powder) in a pile of mush - yuk!
