Decided on this spot for breakfast and quickly realized they had a wait time online so we checked in through Yelp to put ourselves on the waitlist. We got a text that they were a bit more busy than usual so we ended up waiting for over 45 min after we checked in (don't go expecting to be seated right away). They also had a device outside where you could check yourself in the wait. It's very small inside so it made sense the wait but this was the quickest service EVER. Shortly after placing our orders we got the food and once our server saw we were done with our meals, she brought our tab so don't expect to just chill here. It's a very quick in & out. I was happy we got the table by the window because the view was pretty but i realized there were some spots where its a thin table and you're just facing a wall so kinda makes you feel like you're on time out or something lol. My meal was good as I got the rainbow pancakes with Portuguese sausage on the side. My partner on the other hand was left disappointed when the chicken and waffles came by. Stopped by here for brunch after my brothers run. It was pretty cool because they still had Kalakaua closed down for the remainder of the race. This spot is along the street and the view beside the windows without the busy traffic was so pretty! Perfect location! When we walked over, there was quite a line, but we got our seats in a timely manner. The waitress that took our order was so helpful and friendly. (An added plus is having locals who work there because you instantly feel like family and they were especially accommodating to my aunty). As far as food, my aunt ordered (I believe?) their Signature Whipped Pancakes with pineapple (she has a hefty appetite for a small woman lol), my cousin ordered their Pineapple Whipped Mochi Waffles, and my brother and I ordered the Egg Scramble n Things. Food was good, can't ever go wrong with spam/Portuguese sausage, eggs and rice (but tbh you can also just make it at home - but let me stop lol) Everything was good, until my cousin had a little misunderstanding with his order. But the waitress and staff were patient with him and reassured him that they'll help him out accordingly. We clowned our cousin afterwards and apologized to the staff about the misunderstanding. Kent was absolutely amazing. Very personable with great smile and conversation. Before my meal came, he moved me to a table with a nicer view of the beach and better lighting so I can read. The food was delicious. I will absolutely be back when I pass return to Honolulu. This location does close at 1pm, although Google maps says 2pm, so plan according. The portion size was satisfying, but there was something about the sauce that I was not crazy about not only the taste but for some reason it got on everything and was a sticky mess. This restaurant is by far one of my favorite breakfast places anywhere! The food is delicious! Absolutely worth it! Get on the waiting list before hand because it does get packed quickly! We stayed in Waikiki for the week, and we wanted to walk down the strand to look for some breakfast. We saw Eggs n Things and their photos looked good on Yelp. The restaurant was a little small because it is connected to a smaller hotel. When you walk in, you have to add your name to the Yelp waitlist. We got there around 6:30am, and there was already a 20 minute wait. They were very strict on having all your parties be together in order to be seated. They don't have restrooms, so my boyfriend went around the corner to use a bathroom. I had told my host that my boyfriend needed to use the restroom and he is around the corner. They apologized and gave the table to someone else. Right when she sat the party, my boyfriend was here, but she couldn't wait 1 minute for him to literally be at the door. We ended up waiting 5-10 more minutes for a table to be sat. When we were sat, the staff were friendly and offered us extra coconut syrup with our pancakes-so good! My boyfriend got the corned beef hash. If we were to come again, we'd probably want to try something different since they had weekly specials. read more

Ok, it's a long wait y'all, but worth every minute, IMO! We waited about 90 minutes but the food is so fresh and delicious! The eggs are locally sourced, the Portuguese sausage has just the right amount of spice and those pancakes...you can't help but want to eat the whole stack but I just couldn't finish it all! I got fresh pineapple, my boyfriend got coconut, and there were several other options. They are absolutely to die for! We were staying in the hotel attached to the restaurant and still had to wait a bit! Diner-style interior but the wall is lined with large windows that are propped open to let in all the noise from the busy street and ocean breeze. Food was okay, my son got a stack of pancakes, I got a salmon benedict, and my partner got a loco moco. For whatever reason the loco moco was HITTING, maybe one of the best loco mocos I've ever had. The other 2 dishes were yum and straightforward. The staff was moving around quickly, as with any diner, and they were somehow able to convince my son to sit in a booster seat, which he never does. The view is amazing cuz the restaurant is across the street from the beach. The beach has crystal blue water with white sand. They have large open windows to enjoy this view. The staff are really helpful, happy and nice and the prices are reasonable. However, my two star review is only for the things outlined in the beginning. The food was not good at all. We had a spinach and bacon omelet with home fries, turkey bacon scramble with home fries and a side of plain pancakes. None of this was good so we ate just to get full cuz we had to catch a flight. Also be aware that there are many homeless people outside this restaurant and at the beach. While we were waiting for our table, we walked to the beach and had to leave as a homeless person started smoking drugs behind us out of a homemade foil pipe. I observed a couple from another country who thought they were on the list but apparently failed to click submit because they didn't know English. They were waiting for almost an hour and when they asked the staff they said there was nothing they could do and told them to leave since it's close to closing and they wouldn't let them in. I tried to add them to my reservation but it wouldn't allow it on the tablet. In my opinion, the tablet needs to include an option on there for different languages(considering the big Korean and Japanese community in the area), or help some people. It wasn't very nice of the host to let these older people stand and wait for that long knowing they had issues checking in. VARIETY OF OPTIONS- Some establishments offer very diverse menu. We used Yelp check-in to reserve a spot in line, which I highly recommend. The wait for walk-ups was over an hour. At least using Yelp check-in we could still walk around and shop while checking our place in line periodically on our phones. Once our name was called we were seated quickly and service was very prompt. You can tell their MO is customer turnover. Not a bad thing - in and out. Food: good. My partner got the French Toast and I got the Kalua Benedict. My partner was a big fan of his French Toast. I liked my Kalua Benedict, but the taro bun base didn't do it for me. I enjoyed my dish, but Zach thought his omelet was pretty basic. I like that the rice wasn't too greasy and the eggs were perfectly cooked sunnyside up. The potatoes are bite-sized and cute. The papaya was sweet and a delicious treat to finish our meal with. Eggsnthings is a great spot to drop by for breakfast or brunch. Fast service and great food! The wait CAN be long starting around 7:30 am. I would recommend joining the waitlist and heading out to the restaurant when your table is almost ready.
