Really enjoyed our breakfast here! The host was attentive, and our server was funny and made the whole experience even better. The food was delicious, and everything came out in a timely manner. My only tip is to join the waitlist before you go because the line can get pretty long. Definitely worth it though!

I don't often leave negative reviews, but I felt this experience was worth sharing. After waiting in line for 50 minutes, the service was disappointing. The food was just okay - nothing particularly memorable or worth coming back for. The Fresh Ahi Burger was dry and overcooked, which was especially disappointing. The presentation and attention to detail were lacking. A Bloody Mary served with a rim of regular table salt and vodka simply poured on top of the tomato juice instead of being properly mixed was disappointing, especially for such a popular place. Unfortunately, we wouldn't recommend this "famous" restaurant to our friends or colleagues. There are many better options in the area.

Perfect brunch spot. Friendly service and delicious food :) We usually like to try different restaurants while on vacation, but loved Eggs n Things so much we came here twice. The sides of potatoes are a must!! We got the steak and eggs, mochi waffles, island fried rice, breakfast burrito, and ENT burger. Super convenient location -- the wait time can get long so join the waitlist on Yelp & you can either walk around some of the shops or stay in your hotel while checking your spot in line via the Yelp app.

Steak was delicious with the Kona coffee rub. I added side of kimchi for my rice. My husband loved his guava burger said it was like a high end rodeo burger :) POG & Orange Mimosas was a treat! Great service, very patient as we scrolled through the many options for breakfast. Epic views too! Enjoy!

Food was actually really good especially being right on the beach. You are paying for that view, there are cheaper breakfast spots but you may not have a beach right there. One boy got Keiki pancakes with chocolate chips, and the other got the Hawaiian pancake sampler. I didn't want anything big so I looked at getting something that would reheat well later. I ended up with the breakfast burrito with Portuguese sausage and it was actually really good!! Service was great.

Visited Eggs n things with a group of 4 (3 adults and a toddler). We made the mistake of not joining the waitlist prior to getting there as they were packed. When signing in on the tablet out front it estimated a 25-30 minute wait which turned into just over an hour. Once we made it inside we were promptly greeted by our server and put in our drink order and meals since we already knew what we wanted due to the wait. The views were great and it was really chill inside. Food and drink came quickly and didn't disappoint appoint. I had the POG juice and the strawberry Nutella mochi waffle. The flavors were great and everything was so fresh. I didn't try anyone else's food at the table but they all loved it. I almost took away a star only because of the wait but can't but the blame on them

First of all, if you love breakfast, this is a great place for you. Be sure to add your name to the waiting list on Yelp about an hour before you want to eat -- unless you're an early bird and are there when they open the doors at 6 am. And I've been there and done that and you still have to wait in a line -- they fill this tiny restaurant as soon as the doors open. So what's great? Kalbi beef and eggs with kimchi. Macadamia nut pancakes with coconut syrup. Loco moco. There are crepes and omelets and French toast and eggs Benedict's, too. But you're in Hawaii, so get something Hawaiian. And there are a lot of locally items. And the Iced tea is brewed and refreshing. If you're lucky, you'll get a booth next to the open windows that overlook Waikiki Beach. I've never been lucky and had those seats but that's okay. The food is the star.

Kent was amazing!! So kind and sweet. The food quality was great, with good portions. The view of the ocean creates a nice ambiance with an ocean breeze. This place is good so it can be busy, I recommend putting my your name in through Yelp to mitigate the wait period during peak hours.

Great food and big portion sizes almost too big I felt terrible I couldn't finish it all! But it came out fast and was hot and fresh. The server was very nice and we were given the option to sit at the counter va a table so we could be seated faster. It was a little loud inside because it's a lot of people in a small space but otherwise it was clean and the staff were friendly and efficient!

I'm not usually one to leave negative reviews, but I felt compelled to share this experience. I paid a $30 for a to-go order and was extremely disappointed with what I received. The portion size and presentation were nowhere near what was advertised, and the meal felt incomplete. For the price, I expected much better quality and value. As a local from Hawaii, I always try to support local businesses, which makes this experience even more disappointing. I'd highly recommend looking elsewhere.

My omelet was gelatinous undercooked and they charged me a tip on my receipt for the kitchen. Horrible. The pancakes were yummy and get 5 stars. Whenever a restaurant takes from me an obligatory gratuity i penalize them by under tipping. I don't like that. The matrade was too lazy to guide people to their seats and would just point. When I come to visit Waikiki this is the first breakfast joint I hit up. Their Malas Ada pancakes are to die for. Prompt service, delicious warm food, an amazing view of Waikiki beach. Get here early because the food is so good you'll have to get on a waitlist. It's worth it though!!! read more

A home style-feel restaurant with a beautiful view of Waikiki beach! The staff works very efficient here. We were sat by a window seat with an amazing view. I ordered the fresh ahi & eggs and it was great with the furikake seasoning. I enjoyed my meal with a fresh glass of pineapple juice and it did not disappoint. It's our first time in this Eggs 'n Things location. We usually frequent the one in Piikoi. I got the kalbi with overeasy eggs, kimchi and regular pancakes for breakfast. The kalbi was a little bit burnt, thin and 3 pcs only. The serving here is definitely smaller than the one in Piikoi. I also got used to the Coconut and Guava syrup in Piikoi but they didn't have it here in this location. The place is usually busy and packed but the staff were nice and friendly. Will I go back here again? Probably not. I also find the price expensive for the quality of food you get. read more

Solid brunch with reasonable wait (if you use Yelp Waitlist). I'd consider the waitlist mandatory: we joined remotely around 8:30, and got seated at 10:15. There were 35 parties ahead of us; when we left, there were 40 in line. The views here are amazing if you can get a table with a window, but that seems to be luck of the draw. The food was respectable. I thoroughly enjoyed my Loco Moco with eggs over medium: the patty had a great texture and flavour, the mix-ins were yummy, and the egg was perfectly cooked to my liking. I've only had loco moco a few times, but this was easily the best one I've tried. My partner had the Egg Scramble 'n Things w/ Portuguese sausage & breakfast potatoes. She enjoyed it but didn't find it particularly noteworthy. The cold brew was good. Iced capp was almost as good as back home. Water is available upon request. They have some cute merch for sale at the front. Service was overall decent; our server missed getting our drinks but another staff member noticed & helped us out. We figured we needed to try this spot and for the four days we were there there was always a huge line, thankfully I used Yelp's Reservation system to get in line and that made a huge difference. The restaurant is very small but it has a nice location with great views of the beach right across the street. Service is great and the staff are friendly! The food was pretty good; everyone enjoyed their waffles, pancakes and French Toast, the omelette was the only thing that didn't quite hit the spot in terms of flavor and we were limited on ingredients unless we wanted to pay extra-extra. This restaurant is worth a try but I suggest you go with pancakes, waffles and/or French Toast. read more

Wow! Yes there was a line, but c'mon! You can't get any closer to the beach without getting sand in your eggs and pancakes! The service is fast once you get in. Friendly even, considering how incredibly busy it is! And the food is incredible plus add the view and this is the best place for breakfast on the island! Get on the waitlist first thing in the morning, our total wait time was 45 min but we left our hotel when we were 10th in line and only waiting at the location for about 10 min. I have been here about 14 years ago and it was great, but this time around was not the same experience. The place was really dirty; furniture was old and worn out; and food failed to impress me. Service left a lot to be desired, even though our server was not attentive at all and appeared rushed, didn't even check up on us until he dropped off the check, I would like to point out the lady at the checkout counter was pleasant. Now I've had a lot of these in my life, and I must say, Iyasume are easily the best. See musubi and onigiri have humble origins as a quickly made homespun snack or on the go lunch, and when you spot them in the convenience environment they're often a giant ball of rice with a tinge of protein or seasoning for flavor. At Iyasume, these are culinary adventures, stacked with ingredients, all in handheld form, and the variety they offer is IMPRESSIVE! Of course musubi starts with the classic, SPAM. I had to order the kimchi + spam, shiso + spam, and unagi + tamago + spam, all of which were awesome (even the next day!). Onigiri here are actually layered with ingredients, so you get them in every bite, unlike the convenience store versions! They have a HUGE menu, and I went with spicy mentaiko and salmon, spicy mentaiko and ikura, ikura and salmon, and tuna mayo curry, all of which were great. I LOVE that they make these to order. You can see the line in the back hard at work, and they're very fast. You're sure to encounter a line when you arrive, but don't be scared, it moves quickly. I usually try salmon belly where it is usually seasoned lightly to bring out the natural flavor of the salmon, but Guava Smoked's salmon belly is just grilled in a way that makes the salmon sweet/crispy and still get traces of the salmon taste as well. It's definitely not your traditional Japanese-style way of cooking salmon belly but really just their own. I'd go back and get this again. Another thing too. I'd get this with beer. This would hit very hard with alcohol but because I don't drink I need a kombucha. The grilled salmon belly would go perfect with it. Cheers! We were fortunate to grab a table in the upper deck area (it's not clearly labeled, but the circular tables by the bar are first-come, first-serve), and we ordered some drinks and appetizers while we waited. Yes, the prices are higher and portion sizes are smaller than what you get, but it's for the view and entertainment. Our servers were attentive and were very good about refilling our water cups, which I really appreciated. Henry Kapono was great, and after we were done with our meal, we went out to the patio to join folks who were enjoying the music. People were dancing in front of the stage area, socializing with other guests, and enjoying the wonderful weather, drinks, and music. What more can you ask for when you're visiting Hawaii? :)

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Eggs and Things in Waikiki, and let me tell you, it was egg-cellent! From the moment I called, Giselle was as sweet as maple syrup on pancakes. She even gave me a tip to put my name on Yelp's list before arriving. Talk about cracking the code to a smooth dining experience! The manager, Ryan, was like a breakfast superhero. I swear, I saw him hustling around the restaurant, taking care of tables and making sure everyone was happy. He must have a secret power to spread joy and butter on toast because he truly is an awesome leader. Our server, Keith, deserves a special shoutout for his patience and kindness. I was so indecisive about which French toast I wanted (I mean, who can blame me?), but Keith was there, guiding me through the sweet and savory choices like a breakfast guru. He deserves a medal for dealing with my breakfast-related dilemmas. The best part? Despite the place being super busy with the breakfast rush, we never felt rushed out. The service was on point, and our food came out quicker than you can say "sunny-side up." We ordered the Sweet Bread French Toast with Strawberries. Traveling to Honolulu for business and tried to find a breakfast place close to our hotel in Waikiki that wasn't super pricey and was within walking distance. Found it in Eggs 'n Things! We managed to walk to the line when it was short...we later found out that was because they were about to close down for the afternoon before reopening for dinner...oooops! But apparently we just made the cut-off. It is an odd way to order...order at the stand, go in and pay, then get seated and the food is brought out. I'm sure it's to cut down on the dine & dash crowd. I ordered the combo with bacon and eggs along with a "clover" of pineapple macadamia nut pancakes. Oh my heavens...salty and sweet nirvana. The bacon was crisp, but not burnt, the eggs over medium as requested. Nothing fancy, but well executed. The pancakes were dessert! Good lord if you put syrup on these things, you are braver than I am. 3 pancakes with pineapple inside with a gigantic cone of whipped cream in the middle sprinkled with chopped macadamia nuts. I ALMOST couldn't finish it all, but powered through. A meal like this fills you up for quite a while, and dinner was definitely light and much, much later. Absolutely the worst experience ever! We have eaten here few times as we live in Kauai and hop to Oahu as our daughter goes to college there. We checked in with 3 of us for breakfast. we had just sat down and our daughter who lives there wanted to join last min. I asked the hostess if we could move to a larger table as our daughter was coming - she told us yes, proceeded to clean the table off, moved us over- then the server came back and said that our daughter could not join us, she couldn't sit at the table , she needed to go join the waitlist and wait to be seated. I explained that we asked the hostess and she moved us no problem, so 3 of us at 4 seat table, daughter wasn't allowed to come into the restaurant and sit nor could she order food, but the 3 of us could sit at a 4 person table and eat the chair had to stay empty. It just didn't make any sense, we added 1 to our group, they cleaned the table and moved us then told us No- the manager wouldn't allow it either. They were quite miserable to deal with, rude about it and logistically didn't make any sense. So, don't frequent the Waikiki location - chose another location with friendlier staff or better yet choose another local restaurant all together to give them your business- as ours wasn't appreciated nor did they really care. read more

During our stay in Waikiki, my wife and I decided to kick off our day with a hearty breakfast at Eggs 'n Things, and we're glad we did! While there was a bit of a wait, we highly recommend using Yelp to join the queue and save time. Once we were seated, we dove into the island-inspired menu. I opted for the Signature Rainbow pancakes, which were as delicious as they were photogenic, and my wife enjoyed the satisfying Breakfast Meat n Eggs. To complement our meals, we indulged in refreshing Guava and Pineapple juices that perfectly captured the flavors of Hawaii. The service was decent, and the view from our table added to the overall experience. Tourist trap! I have eaten here many years back, and this breakfast joint was better. Who knows why it changed, but the real surprise comes from the added line charges you are not aware of. There are two. You are being nickeled with a kitchen service, and then you're charged to pay for using a credit card. WTF? A kitchen charge? Pay your employees more, and raise your prices. The tourist will pay. A charge to pay by credit card? Raise your prices if you're that cheap of a business owner. The tourist will pay it. Let's talk about the food. The menu holds many options. Mainly grease dishes or carbs loaded with sugar. The ahi was nice, but this joint's idea of spicy anything is bland nothing. The only days we didn't were because we had scheduled events and didn't want there to be a timing conflict. I got something different everytime and honestly don't know what I could recommend. Went to Eggs N Things this past week, such good food. It was almost time for then to close so we left. I went back because I left my sunglasses and the workers, 1 of them looked like the manager and the other guys kept coming back in forth from the kitchen were hitting on some of the tourist that were eating there. Great food, quite a long wait to get in (approx 1hr15) but was worth it. The queue is an online queue (join on tablet at entrance) where you can then see your place and go off and explore the beach or shops etc whilst you wait. I don't know what all the fuss is about but this place is way overrated. I had the popular loco moco and I don't wish to say that it was disgusting but mushy fried rice with mushy onions and mushy mushrooms in an over salted brown gravy (like made from a powder) in a pile of mush - yuk! The POG juice was excellent but not for Keto people. The service was excellent. read more

WOW! What an outstanding job this location's staff did in accommodating a large carry-out order. The food was timely and accurate! The staff was on top of everything! The food was absolutely delicious and I would highly recommend this place for any large catering order! We are truly appreciative of this location's staff and management! read more

I passed by this restaurant on my way to Waikiki beach and saw a line waiting. I decided to give it a try. The wait wasn't so bad. I ordered the macadamia nut pancakes with the spam and eggs. They were delicious. There are coconut syrup, strawberry and regular marble syrup. I like the coconut one, so yummy. read more

We had a fantastic experience at Eggs 'n Things, despite a busy morning with lots of people waiting, the takeaway service was impressively fast. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to accommodate our dairy-free needs. I highly recommend this spot for a quick take-away breakfast. read more
