Really enjoyed our breakfast here! The host was attentive, and our server was funny and made the whole experience even better. The food was delicious, and everything came out in a timely manner. My only tip is to join the waitlist before you go because the line can get pretty long. Definitely worth it though!

I don't often leave negative reviews, but I felt this experience was worth sharing. After waiting in line for 50 minutes, the service was disappointing. The food was just okay - nothing particularly memorable or worth coming back for. The Fresh Ahi Burger was dry and overcooked, which was especially disappointing. The presentation and attention to detail were lacking. A Bloody Mary served with a rim of regular table salt and vodka simply poured on top of the tomato juice instead of being properly mixed was disappointing, especially for such a popular place. Unfortunately, we wouldn't recommend this "famous" restaurant to our friends or colleagues. There are many better options in the area.

Perfect brunch spot. Friendly service and delicious food :) We usually like to try different restaurants while on vacation, but loved Eggs n Things so much we came here twice. The sides of potatoes are a must!! We got the steak and eggs, mochi waffles, island fried rice, breakfast burrito, and ENT burger. Super convenient location -- the wait time can get long so join the waitlist on Yelp & you can either walk around some of the shops or stay in your hotel while checking your spot in line via the Yelp app.

Steak was delicious with the Kona coffee rub. I added side of kimchi for my rice. My husband loved his guava burger said it was like a high end rodeo burger :) POG & Orange Mimosas was a treat! Great service, very patient as we scrolled through the many options for breakfast. Epic views too! Enjoy!

Food was actually really good especially being right on the beach. You are paying for that view, there are cheaper breakfast spots but you may not have a beach right there. One boy got Keiki pancakes with chocolate chips, and the other got the Hawaiian pancake sampler. I didn't want anything big so I looked at getting something that would reheat well later. I ended up with the breakfast burrito with Portuguese sausage and it was actually really good!! Service was great.

Visited Eggs n things with a group of 4 (3 adults and a toddler). We made the mistake of not joining the waitlist prior to getting there as they were packed. When signing in on the tablet out front it estimated a 25-30 minute wait which turned into just over an hour. Once we made it inside we were promptly greeted by our server and put in our drink order and meals since we already knew what we wanted due to the wait. The views were great and it was really chill inside. Food and drink came quickly and didn't disappoint appoint. I had the POG juice and the strawberry Nutella mochi waffle. The flavors were great and everything was so fresh. I didn't try anyone else's food at the table but they all loved it. I almost took away a star only because of the wait but can't but the blame on them

First of all, if you love breakfast, this is a great place for you. Be sure to add your name to the waiting list on Yelp about an hour before you want to eat -- unless you're an early bird and are there when they open the doors at 6 am. And I've been there and done that and you still have to wait in a line -- they fill this tiny restaurant as soon as the doors open. So what's great? Kalbi beef and eggs with kimchi. Macadamia nut pancakes with coconut syrup. Loco moco. There are crepes and omelets and French toast and eggs Benedict's, too. But you're in Hawaii, so get something Hawaiian. And there are a lot of locally items. And the Iced tea is brewed and refreshing. If you're lucky, you'll get a booth next to the open windows that overlook Waikiki Beach. I've never been lucky and had those seats but that's okay. The food is the star.

Kent was amazing!! So kind and sweet. The food quality was great, with good portions. The view of the ocean creates a nice ambiance with an ocean breeze. This place is good so it can be busy, I recommend putting my your name in through Yelp to mitigate the wait period during peak hours.

Great food and big portion sizes almost too big I felt terrible I couldn't finish it all! But it came out fast and was hot and fresh. The server was very nice and we were given the option to sit at the counter va a table so we could be seated faster. It was a little loud inside because it's a lot of people in a small space but otherwise it was clean and the staff were friendly and efficient!

I'm not usually one to leave negative reviews, but I felt compelled to share this experience. I paid a $30 for a to-go order and was extremely disappointed with what I received. The portion size and presentation were nowhere near what was advertised, and the meal felt incomplete. For the price, I expected much better quality and value. As a local from Hawaii, I always try to support local businesses, which makes this experience even more disappointing. I'd highly recommend looking elsewhere.

First off, the servings were huge! The omelette was great! It has zucchini, mushrooms and mozzarella cheese. You can build your own omelette. I also had the rainbow pancake, which has alot of fruits! The locomoco was also good! I had the lilikoi juice and it was the perfect breakfast combination. It also has a great view of the beach. I recommend joining waitlist in yelp to avoid long waiting time outside. read more

Yummy breakfast here two days in a row now and love the corner diner beachside vibe of this island local restaurant. You probably will not go wrong with anything you choose but we have tried the Hawaiian loco moco, loco moco on fried rice, spam green onion omelet, bacon spinach omelet, French toast, eggs and bacon meal, and of course the wonderful fluffy pancakes; and everything was beautifully plated and tasted even better than it looked. There is always a wait here no surprise as the food is good so if you can wait it's worth it or just come super early. Service is friendly attentive and efficient team work and our smoothly brewed coffee cups stayed fully topped off. Love this spot and will definitely be returning soon. read more

The restaurant was very small causing the wait to be very long. We waited over an hour to be seated and then were underwhelmed by the food. I had a spam and spinach omelette that was good with macadamia nut pancakes that I would order again but as take out only. My husband ordered an eggs Benedict that although it was cooked well it was nothing special. His Bloody Mary tasted just like plain tomato juice with little to no alcohol or flavor. Staff was pleasant but there was a kitchen fee added for those that ate in the restaurant. This seems rather odd when the take out orders which you could order and receive in less then 15 minutes did not have the fee. read more

Pretty good breakfast! i got the Hawaiian Loco Moco, which I think was definitely the right choice. I think it could have used another egg, but the beef patty was really well seasoned and cooked. The mushrooms and onions added a nice bit of variety and more rich flavors, and the rice was a really good base choice. I couldn't taste the sausage as much, but it was still good. And the gravy on top was great and really brought it all together. The wait was a bit long for the quality of food (we waited 30 minutes) but it was still overall good and our server was nice. Great view of the beach too if you get a table near the windows. read more

While lacking in ambience, this café serves up delicious breakfast varieties that don't break the bank. A plus for convenience if you're staying near the end of the Waikiki strip near hotels and condos. Service was excellent and attentive. Will be back for sure when we return to Waikiki. The breakfast burrito with snap was very good especially with the salsa- it almost didn't need the extra sour cream and guacamole but was still good with it. The sweet Hawaiian bread French toast was the best I've ever tasted and would order it again. Fresh eggs can't be beat. Protein portions were small. For example I got Portuguese sausage and only got 4 small pieces. Otherwise everything cooked to order. Service was quick and friendly. To the point. Menu easy to order from. Also ordered the Mochi waffle which was delicious! Does have a chewy texture for those not familiar. Ambiance is busy in and out business. Not much for romance or chit chat. They are trying to get people in and out. Very busy venue. No parking. Would recommend to try at least once. Happy eating! read more

This is a very good spot for food. The Loco Moco was very good. As well as the crepes were very delicious with a bit of sweetness. It was very busy with us having to wait a while which we didn't mind and the wonderful lady that was seating everyone was really on top of it! Making the seating a breeze. Ono Pancakes!!!! =^.^= Waking up to a beautiful sunrise and eating pancakes! Wow what a delicious treat. This local joint is a quaint diner (on the strip) to appreciate. 4/5 stars due to the overall experience and food. ***a must is joining the waitlist on yelp!! We joined the waitlist online at 7:30am and at that time it read a 45minute wait and we were 22nd in line. -The restaurant will give you a couple of notifications. 1.) First, when to expect to be seated ( we got 8:11am-8:26am) 2.) notified we will be seated soon and to be there within 5 minutes or our spot will be given away. -At 8am we headed over ( 7minute walk from our hotel, felt like 2 minutes) and checked in with the hostess. We waited approximately 5 minutes before we got seated and checked yelp to see how many people were in front of us. Food ordered: 1.) Hawaiian loco moco- tastes good but in our opinion the patty needed more salt. Good sized portion! 2.) Portuguese sausage and eggs and choice of buttermilk pancakes, etc. sausage delicious and cooked perfectly with a nice sear. The PANCAKES were sooooo Ono!!! Worst experience of life!!! Nola the manager is so rude, our seating was for 10:32-10:39 we proved at 10:39 waited at the desk and he refused to seat us... he allowed people who was late to sit before and the. When I said I was leaving a review he refused our service I paid 18$ for a fast uber rushed out of my room to make my reservation on time they removed me off the list at 10:38 as shown in pic provided I had till 10:39 and 5 min grace.... The shame of being refused service in front of group full of people, no one should have to experience! I usually try salmon belly where it is usually seasoned lightly to bring out the natural flavor of the salmon, but Guava Smoked's salmon belly is just grilled in a way that makes the salmon sweet/crispy and still get traces of the salmon taste as well. It's definitely not your traditional Japanese-style way of cooking salmon belly but really just their own. I'd go back and get this again. Another thing too. I'd get this with beer. This would hit very hard with alcohol but because I don't drink I need a kombucha. The grilled salmon belly would go perfect with it. Cheers! We were fortunate to grab a table in the upper deck area (it's not clearly labeled, but the circular tables by the bar are first-come, first-serve), and we ordered some drinks and appetizers while we waited. Yes, the prices are higher and portion sizes are smaller than what you get, but it's for the view and entertainment. Our servers were attentive and were very good about refilling our water cups, which I really appreciated. Henry Kapono was great, and after we were done with our meal, we went out to the patio to join folks who were enjoying the music. People were dancing in front of the stage area, socializing with other guests, and enjoying the wonderful weather, drinks, and music. What more can you ask for when you're visiting Hawaii? :)

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Eggs and Things in Waikiki, and let me tell you, it was egg-cellent! From the moment I called, Giselle was as sweet as maple syrup on pancakes. She even gave me a tip to put my name on Yelp's list before arriving. Talk about cracking the code to a smooth dining experience! The manager, Ryan, was like a breakfast superhero. I swear, I saw him hustling around the restaurant, taking care of tables and making sure everyone was happy. He must have a secret power to spread joy and butter on toast because he truly is an awesome leader. Our server, Keith, deserves a special shoutout for his patience and kindness. I was so indecisive about which French toast I wanted (I mean, who can blame me?), but Keith was there, guiding me through the sweet and savory choices like a breakfast guru. He deserves a medal for dealing with my breakfast-related dilemmas. The best part? Despite the place being super busy with the breakfast rush, we never felt rushed out. Traveling to Honolulu for business and tried to find a breakfast place close to our hotel in Waikiki that wasn't super pricey and was within walking distance. Found it in Eggs 'n Things! We managed to walk to the line when it was short...we later found out that was because they were about to close down for the afternoon before reopening for dinner...oooops! But apparently we just made the cut-off. It is an odd way to order...order at the stand, go in and pay, then get seated and the food is brought out. I'm sure it's to cut down on the dine & dash crowd. I ordered the combo with bacon and eggs along with a "clover" of pineapple macadamia nut pancakes. Oh my heavens...salty and sweet nirvana. The bacon was crisp, but not burnt, the eggs over medium as requested. Nothing fancy, but well executed. The pancakes were dessert! Good lord if you put syrup on these things, you are braver than I am. 3 pancakes with pineapple inside with a gigantic cone of whipped cream in the middle sprinkled with chopped macadamia nuts. I ALMOST couldn't finish it all, but powered through. A meal like this fills you up for quite a while, and dinner was definitely light and much, much later. Absolutely the worst experience ever! We have eaten here few times as we live in Kauai and hop to Oahu as our daughter goes to college there. We checked in with 3 of us for breakfast. we had just sat down and our daughter who lives there wanted to join last min. I asked the hostess if we could move to a larger table as our daughter was coming - she told us yes, proceeded to clean the table off, moved us over- then the server came back and said that our daughter could not join us, she couldn't sit at the table , she needed to go join the waitlist and wait to be seated. I explained that we asked the hostess and she moved us no problem, so 3 of us at 4 seat table, daughter wasn't allowed to come into the restaurant and sit nor could she order food, but the 3 of us could sit at a 4 person table and eat the chair had to stay empty. It just didn't make any sense, we added 1 to our group, they cleaned the table and moved us then told us No- the manager wouldn't allow it either. They were quite miserable to deal with, rude about it and logistically didn't make any sense. So, don't frequent the Waikiki location - chose another location with friendlier staff or better yet choose another local restaurant all together to give them your business- as ours wasn't appreciated nor did they really care. read more

I opted for the Signature Rainbow pancakes, which were as delicious as they were photogenic, and my wife enjoyed the satisfying Breakfast Meat n Eggs. Tourist trap! I have eaten here many years back, and this breakfast joint was better. Who knows why it changed, but the real surprise comes from the added line charges you are not aware of. There are two. You are being nickeled with a kitchen service, and then you're charged to pay for using a credit card. WTF? A kitchen charge? Pay your employees more, and raise your prices. The tourist will pay. A charge to pay by credit card? Raise your prices if you're that cheap of a business owner. The tourist will pay it. Let's talk about the food. The menu holds many options. Mainly grease dishes or carbs loaded with sugar. The ahi was nice, but this joint's idea of spicy anything is bland nothing.
