I don't often leave negative reviews, but I felt this experience was worth sharing. After waiting in line for 50 minutes, the service was disappointing. The food was just okay - nothing particularly memorable or worth coming back for. The Fresh Ahi Burger was dry and overcooked, which was especially disappointing. The presentation and attention to detail were lacking. A Bloody Mary served with a rim of regular table salt and vodka simply poured on top of the tomato juice instead of being properly mixed was disappointing, especially for such a popular place. Unfortunately, we wouldn't recommend this "famous" restaurant to our friends or colleagues. There are many better options in the area.

Perfect brunch spot. Friendly service and delicious food :) We usually like to try different restaurants while on vacation, but loved Eggs n Things so much we came here twice. The sides of potatoes are a must!! We got the steak and eggs, mochi waffles, island fried rice, breakfast burrito, and ENT burger. Super convenient location -- the wait time can get long so join the waitlist on Yelp & you can either walk around some of the shops or stay in your hotel while checking your spot in line via the Yelp app.

Avg food but very photogenic & filling, long wait. A giant cockroach crawled onto the waiting area sent guests scattering. Good service & we were lucky to score a table with the beach view. Coffee was strong & solid

Steak was delicious with the Kona coffee rub. I added side of kimchi for my rice. My husband loved his guava burger said it was like a high end rodeo burger :) POG & Orange Mimosas was a treat! Great service, very patient as we scrolled through the many options for breakfast. Epic views too! Enjoy!

Food was actually really good especially being right on the beach. You are paying for that view, there are cheaper breakfast spots but you may not have a beach right there. One boy got Keiki pancakes with chocolate chips, and the other got the Hawaiian pancake sampler. I didn't want anything big so I looked at getting something that would reheat well later. I ended up with the breakfast burrito with Portuguese sausage and it was actually really good!! Service was great.

Visited Eggs n things with a group of 4 (3 adults and a toddler). We made the mistake of not joining the waitlist prior to getting there as they were packed. When signing in on the tablet out front it estimated a 25-30 minute wait which turned into just over an hour. Once we made it inside we were promptly greeted by our server and put in our drink order and meals since we already knew what we wanted due to the wait. The views were great and it was really chill inside. Food and drink came quickly and didn't disappoint appoint. I had the POG juice and the strawberry Nutella mochi waffle. The flavors were great and everything was so fresh. I didn't try anyone else's food at the table but they all loved it. I almost took away a star only because of the wait but can't but the blame on them

First of all, if you love breakfast, this is a great place for you. Be sure to add your name to the waiting list on Yelp about an hour before you want to eat -- unless you're an early bird and are there when they open the doors at 6 am. And I've been there and done that and you still have to wait in a line -- they fill this tiny restaurant as soon as the doors open. So what's great? Kalbi beef and eggs with kimchi. Macadamia nut pancakes with coconut syrup. Loco moco. There are crepes and omelets and French toast and eggs Benedict's, too. But you're in Hawaii, so get something Hawaiian. And there are a lot of locally items. And the Iced tea is brewed and refreshing. If you're lucky, you'll get a booth next to the open windows that overlook Waikiki Beach. I've never been lucky and had those seats but that's okay. The food is the star.

Kent was amazing!! So kind and sweet. The food quality was great, with good portions. The view of the ocean creates a nice ambiance with an ocean breeze. This place is good so it can be busy, I recommend putting my your name in through Yelp to mitigate the wait period during peak hours.

Great food and big portion sizes almost too big I felt terrible I couldn't finish it all! But it came out fast and was hot and fresh. The server was very nice and we were given the option to sit at the counter va a table so we could be seated faster. It was a little loud inside because it's a lot of people in a small space but otherwise it was clean and the staff were friendly and efficient!

I'm not usually one to leave negative reviews, but I felt compelled to share this experience. I paid a $30 for a to-go order and was extremely disappointed with what I received. The portion size and presentation were nowhere near what was advertised, and the meal felt incomplete. For the price, I expected much better quality and value. As a local from Hawaii, I always try to support local businesses, which makes this experience even more disappointing. I'd highly recommend looking elsewhere.

The wait was a little long but you can get on the waitlist on their website from your hotel! I recommend the POG (pineapple, orange & guava) drink and i got the Eggs Benedict with the potatoes as my side. Choice of bun was the taro bun (YUM!) and i got the crab cake under my egg. The food quality does not justify the wait. I wanted to enjoy this place but couldn't really get excited about anything except really good and speedy service(the only reason the rating isn't lower). I expected a lot more and was disappointed. Effort did not show up in the food. Bland and suspiciously like something that came out of a freezer or a box. It looked like they have done what they needed to survive covid (cut cost) but lost their passion for delivering quality food. sorry was a swing and a miss for me read more

First time trying this place on a Monday 9:30am. Had to sign in electronically at the front since we were a party of 5. If your party is 6+ you have to check in with the hostess. We waited 82 minutes because it's a very small restaurant. Plus it is June. The wait was well worth it. The service was outstanding and the food was excellent! We got the Loco moco, Eggs Benedict with Kahlua pork, Eggs & fried rice and the macadamia nut coconut Ube pancakes which were absolutely divine. Every person in our party thoroughly enjoyed what they ordered. Good portions, good price point, full-flavored & delicious! Overall, it was a good experience. Just wish the place was bigger so the wait wouldn't be so long. We'll definitely be back but now we know for next time that we can't be starving when we go there because of the long wait. read more

We didn't mind waiting long time because we heard great things. My pineapple pork chop was burned and tasted burned and dry. The slice of pineapple on top of it was the only thing that made it special I guess. It came with rock hard burned greasy potatoes. My wife had the loco moco. The meat inside the rice was charcoal! Gravy that surrounded the creation smelled like a burned fry pan. The waiter told us we should have told her. But I know what happens to complainers food in the back. read more

Like everybody else says it was amazing get there earlier so you don't have to wait in a long line. But if you're not an early bird, it's still worth waiting anyway. The strawberry French toast was literally some of the best French toast I've ever had and I don't normally order French toast because I usually prefer it. Check in on Yelp prior to walking to Egg'n Things. The wait was over an hour. When they call your name you must be present otherwise they move on to the next and do not call you again. Loved this place! It's a chain, but there's not much else in the immediate area around our hotel except coffee shops, so we gave it a try. Very very good. TIP - join the waitlist before you go, or at least check the wait! It opens at 6 am, and we were amazed at the amount of people who were waiting when we arrived before 7 (jet lagged so we passed out the night we arrived but we were up bright and early, lol). First visit, we had the eggs and ahi plate. Choices of sides fare potatoes, rice, or pancakes. No-brainer for us, short stack yes! Two eggs, mine sunnyside up, hubs scrambled eggs. Good sized thin slab of ahi tuna, I had Cajun seasoning, he had garlic. And 3 fluffy buttermilk pancakes. We were so stuffed that we bypassed the famous Leonard's Bakery stop on our driving tour because we weren't even tempted by their renowned malasadas! Good coffee there too, with refills. So, we went back the next morning after joining the waitlist before we left our hotel. We both had the veggie omelet and those irresistible pancakes again. Meanwhile, we were watching the plates of waffles or pancakes go by, with fruit, and some with towers of whipped cream! Our servers, Morgan the first time, Kent the second time, were friendly and efficient. Definitely recommend you try this place if you're near Kalakaua Ave in Waikiki! read more

Great place for breakfast! We were staying at the Alohilani Resort which was just a short walk. They have good coffee and my wife and I both had the ENT breakfast burrito. Make sure to check in on the Yelp waitlist before going because the wait could be long. The earlier you go the shorter the wait. read more

1st off when trying to eat here, I recommend using the yelp app to set your reservation or get angry waiting in line when you get to the here and realize there are like 30+ people ahead of you. This is your warning / hint to use your time wisely!! Our waitress was awesome and service is great as they have locals and this is the that local restaurant you should be supporting. Got the omelet which was the special so had to try it, and get an option of pancakes or country potatoes. Waitress recommended that we try the Ube pancakes and they were really good...should try it. They have a lot of choices for food so there are lots to try but just not sure how many times ur gonna wanna wait in line. The view here is the key to the restaurant but unfortunately on the day we were there, a delivery truck parked and couldn't see the view of the beach....bummer !! When you're in Oahu, for the first time like me and the family, it's a must try as my son was asking to go here for 2 days. Can't be too negative but can't say the food was great, but a must try for sure. read more

There's a long wait, but the business is smart to give you a menu while you wait so when you get a table you order right away. The food is good and I have two days left of my trip. I know my husband wi be going two more times for sure. The space is limited on seating. You have the option to do take out as well. Totally worth the wait read more

Love this place! The service is great! Even for a smaller restaurant they move quickly and they didn't make mistakes. You get to eat next to the beach so the ambience was perfect. The food was delicious! I got the loco moco (the best one I've had so far) and my parents shared the pork chop with eggs and rice. My daughter got the spam, eggs and rice and loved it! Amazing spot for breakfast & lunch. The restaurant is pretty small so recommend arriving early or joining the waitlist before heading to the restaurant. Service was great, food was tasty. We tried the breakfast burrito, a short stack with a side of bacon. Their pancake mix is nice & fluffy which made for a great pancake. It's a looooooong wait for this restaurant, but worth trying at least once during your stay. You can join the wait list from Yelp as you're getting ready. Sadly I joined the wrong waiting list and didn't realize it until it was almost my turn. So I joined this list and started the wait all over again. We went on a walk and the time went by quickly. When it was our turn we got a table that's in the middle and I asked for ocean view. The waiter said they can't move us because there are people waiting who specifically asked for ocean view. I understood and said it's fine. Later one of the top guys came up to us and said they'll move us to ocean view because we had already gone through so much when we joined the wrong list and then the right one. I was very impressed by that. The food itself was delicious! I wanted to try something more traditionally local, so I got a Hawaiian moco loco and my husband got chicken and waffles because it was one of the few things that doesn't feature eggs (he's not a fan, haha). We both loved what we got and understood why so many people are willing to wait! The people working here are very nice. I stopped by a few times before we even thought about giving the food a try to ask for utensils, and they always provided them to us without question or demanding that we buy. Absolutely perfect breakfast spot! We joined the waitlist online before leaving our hotel and the timing was perfect for us - they keep the waitlist updated consistently so you know exactly how much time you have. I highly recommend joining the waitlist at least 30 minutes before heading towards the restaurant. This is a small place with amazing views that are totally worth it. We were sat by the windows that look out onto the beach and it was just gorgeous. Our server was kind and attentive, and the food was delicious! My spouse had the Hawaiian sweet bread French toast with pineapple and I got the loco moco. Both were SO SO SO GOOD and SO SO SO FRESH! The food comes out very quick after ordering and everything we ordered was cooked to perfection. Lastly, the person at the register was also very kind and personable. Our friend ordered the spaghetti carbonara and enjoyed it as well. Dessert: We were encouraged to try the Rocky Road ice cream and decided it was a must have when you visit. We were fortunate to grab a table in the upper deck area (it's not clearly labeled, but the circular tables by the bar are first-come, first-serve), and we ordered some drinks and appetizers while we waited. Yes, the prices are higher and portion sizes are smaller than what you get, but it's for the view and entertainment. Our servers were attentive and were very good about refilling our water cups, which I really appreciated. Henry Kapono was great, and after we were done with our meal, we went out to the patio to join folks who were enjoying the music. People were dancing in front of the stage area, socializing with other guests, and enjoying the wonderful weather, drinks, and music. What more can you ask for when you're visiting Hawaii? :)

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Eggs and Things in Waikiki, and let me tell you, it was egg-cellent! From the moment I called, Giselle was as sweet as maple syrup on pancakes. She even gave me a tip to put my name on Yelp's list before arriving. Talk about cracking the code to a smooth dining experience! The manager, Ryan, was like a breakfast superhero. I swear, I saw him hustling around the restaurant, taking care of tables and making sure everyone was happy. He must have a secret power to spread joy and butter on toast because he truly is an awesome leader. Our server, Keith, deserves a special shoutout for his patience and kindness. I was so indecisive about which French toast I wanted (I mean, who can blame me?), but Keith was there, guiding me through the sweet and savory choices like a breakfast guru. He deserves a medal for dealing with my breakfast-related dilemmas. The best part? Despite the place being super busy with the breakfast rush, we never felt rushed out. Traveling to Honolulu for business and tried to find a breakfast place close to our hotel in Waikiki that wasn't super pricey and was within walking distance. Found it in Eggs 'n Things! We managed to walk to the line when it was short...we later found out that was because they were about to close down for the afternoon before reopening for dinner...oooops! But apparently we just made the cut-off. It is an odd way to order...order at the stand, go in and pay, then get seated and the food is brought out. I'm sure it's to cut down on the dine & dash crowd. I ordered the combo with bacon and eggs along with a "clover" of pineapple macadamia nut pancakes. Oh my heavens...salty and sweet nirvana. The bacon was crisp, but not burnt, the eggs over medium as requested. Nothing fancy, but well executed. The pancakes were dessert! Good lord if you put syrup on these things, you are braver than I am. 3 pancakes with pineapple inside with a gigantic cone of whipped cream in the middle sprinkled with chopped macadamia nuts. I ALMOST couldn't finish it all, but powered through. A meal like this fills you up for quite a while, and dinner was definitely light and much, much later. Absolutely the worst experience ever! We have eaten here few times as we live in Kauai and hop to Oahu as our daughter goes to college there. We checked in with 3 of us for breakfast. we had just sat down and our daughter who lives there wanted to join last min. I asked the hostess if we could move to a larger table as our daughter was coming - she told us yes, proceeded to clean the table off, moved us over- then the server came back and said that our daughter could not join us, she couldn't sit at the table , she needed to go join the waitlist and wait to be seated. I explained that we asked the hostess and she moved us no problem, so 3 of us at 4 seat table, daughter wasn't allowed to come into the restaurant and sit nor could she order food, but the 3 of us could sit at a 4 person table and eat the chair had to stay empty. It just didn't make any sense, we added 1 to our group, they cleaned the table and moved us then told us No- the manager wouldn't allow it either. They were quite miserable to deal with, rude about it and logistically didn't make any sense. So, don't frequent the Waikiki location - chose another location with friendlier staff or better yet choose another local restaurant all together to give them your business- as ours wasn't appreciated nor did they really care. read more

Tourist trap! I have eaten here many years back, and this breakfast joint was better. Who knows why it changed, but the real surprise comes from the added line charges you are not aware of. There are two. You are being nickeled with a kitchen service, and then you're charged to pay for using a credit card. WTF? A kitchen charge? Pay your employees more, and raise your prices. The tourist will pay. A charge to pay by credit card? Raise your prices if you're that cheap of a business owner. The tourist will pay it. Let's talk about the food. The menu holds many options. Mainly grease dishes or carbs loaded with sugar. The ahi was nice, but this joint's idea of spicy anything is bland nothing.
