Basic breakfast stuff delivered in a clean, not overly crowded environment. Well priced as well.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Ocala and I eat there at least once a week. Having tried probably half the menu by now, my favorites are the Goodness Gracious Omelet with the fresh fruit cup, the Praline Pecan Chicken and the Spinach & Berry salads and the Great American Burger. The food is always well presented, freshly made, and served with a smile. Since the place is usually hopping on weekends, I mostly go during the week. Service is always prompt, and the wait staff keeps trying to show me how to pay for my meal with the QR code square. Someday I'll catch on! read more

First time! Its across from Dillards and down the walk from Barnes & Nobles. No wait on seating. Our waitress, Amber, was very tentative. Our food was out pretty quicky, temperature of food was excellent, and it looked and tasted awesome. I had the BLT with fries and my husband had the triple deuce; 2 pancakes, 2 eggs and 2 bacon. I had the worst omelet in my life here! I couldn't believe how tasteless, how flat and minimal it was. I order cheese omelets often for breakfasts, so I know a good one from a bad one. How hard is it to make a simple cheese-only omelet?! This one was horrible. I barely gagged it down. My dining companions had pancakes that looked pretty good, so I would try those next time. I know a lot of people like this place for breakfast - I just didn't choose the right (simple) dish I guess. One diner asked for "well done" home fries; they arrived terribly burnt and inedible (and I'm usually not that picky about a little burnt edge or so). These were way too burnt. read more

I wanted to love this place. Let's start with the Service. It was excellent. The waitstaff were so sweet and took extra effort to make sure our order was just right. The food was just OK and it was pricy for what it was. Breakfast is my favorite meal and I was hoping this would be really good. However, it tasted more like institutionalized dining (aka a college dining hall) as opposed to a cute cafe. It tasted like frozen breakfast from food purchased at Sam's club. We love this breakfast hangout! Service is always excellent - friendly and patient staff with efficient service. Never have to wait to be seated even when it's a busy weekend morning. Happy, family-friendly atmosphere and good breakfast music. I love when I come in and they're playing MoTown! Pricing is fantastic and fair. The food is good - yummy enough for us to always come back, but could be slightly improved with fresher fruit sides and more espresso coffee options. That is the only reason this isn't a five star knockout. Everything else is 10/10!!! We will keep enjoying this neighborhood gem. read more

Food was an awful, big wet, burnt mess. They only cook their food on a grill so everything is burnt to a crisp. Cooks are obviously inexperienced and management is rude. Take your money to the Panera up the road for better food, better service, and a better atmosphere at a much lower price Update to the business owner: Your servers are the only employees who did anything right. You have your management publicly scolding them in front of the customers and the managers refuse to fix any dishes they get wrong. It's backwards when the wait staff has to apologize for the unprofessionalism of your MANAGEMENT when they shouldn't be the ones taking responsibility. Nothing to write home about. Environment was clean. Service slow. Food to come out very slow. Coffee weak. Orange juice was more water than juice. Had the shrimp and grits omelet. It was alright. Need less than one star!!!! So this morning my wife and I stopped and had breakfast at Eggs Up Grill. When we were about finished I noticed a ROACH was crawling down next to my wife in our booth. My wife immediately jumped up and got a napkin to try to kill the roach but she trapped it in the napkin. We called a waiter over who got the manager. She came over and confirmed the live bug was a roach and said she had never seen one in the restaurant. She also said she would take care of it. She left and did not return. We left immediately, the manager did nothing to comp our meals so I paid the check and we left. JUST BEWARE aid you decide to eat there watch for live and moving insects. Doesn't look like much but we heard so much about it so decided to give it a try. Our server Ambyr was amazing! She always had a smile and was able to answer all of our questions. The food was amazing! Blueberry muffin was toasted on the grill and buttered to perfection!!! The biscuits and gravy were delicious as well!! Usually love this place but stay away from ordering the reuben! Meat was chopped into little squares, barely any on sandwich, and not good quality...maybe they were running out- of meat....but....almost (I didn't eat all- couldn't) inedible!! Full of sauce, soggy to boot!!! read more

This place is right next to Dillard's and an oyster place directly on the corner. Great breakfast food for sure! I got a breakfast wrap with jack cheese, eggs and sausage that was so freaking good! The hash potatoes are awesome as well as they are crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. My wife got the classic that was not disappointing one bit! I highly recommend this place. Went here for late breakfast with my kids on a Wednesday afternoon. Was able to get a seat right away. The restaurant was cute and the server was very nice. Everyone was very nice actually. My kids ordered an egg sandwich was great. Biscuits were delish! Also had avacado toast that was good. Portion sizes are small, which is ok for me as I'm small myself. If you are very hungry maybe try somewhere else or order 2 items. Also the seating was just not that comfortable. I'd say 4.5 stars on the food, 5 stars on the staff, and 3 stars on the comfort. We know sooner sat down and the waitress came up and took our drink order. She answered all our questions thoroughly. She gave us time to read the menu and Checked on us frequently. This was just my second time eating here. It was kind of strange how long I had to wait to be seated, since they seem to have quite a few people working and there were many empty tables. I ordered the same thing I had on my first visit, an absolutely delicious Benedict Florentine. This time it was the total opposite.. The tomato looked "overheated" and dry . I don't know if I had enough spinach, because what I had was a glob of dark green mush. Instead of having the yolk runny when I cut into it, the egg yolk was hard. To finish the dish the Hollandaise sauce was very thick, like a paste. I was asked twice how I liked my dish and since it was obvious looking at it, they knew it wasn't right. The first person offered to make a new one. I didn't feel like waiting and said no. Told this to second person. I ate part of it. They did take 25% off my bill and I did leave a tip. While writing this, I am not sure who's fault it is? Perhaps it was cooked correctly and it sat too long before being served. I will probably try the restaurant one more time. read more

Just went to eggs up in Ocala for the first and last time. The food was cold and fairly tasteless. We should have known because there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. We eat at one of these in Rock Hill South Carolina and the food is excellent but not the case here. No more chances for this place. read more

I went in to Eggs Up in the morning and when I got there it was completely empty. 2 employees were cleaning the tables and whatnot and their was one person who appeared to be a manager sitting on their phone. After waiting a few minutes to be noticed I finally got a table (at an empty restaurant) My server was alright, not very attentive but it was very early so I can look past it. What I can't look past, however, is how uncomfortable it felt eating at this restaurant while hearing the way the manager talks to the cooks and servers. It sounds as if she had taken management lessons from a Gordon Ramsay show... she was yelling at the employees and even hurling insults towards them. The food was nothing special and a bit overpriced for what I got. The mood set in the dining area by the manager will forever keep me from coming back. Ate breakfast here for the first time this am. Walked into restaurant and did not get greeted by any employee so was hard to tell who was the hostess. We gave our name and had a short wait. They ran out of regular coffee and had to mix dark with decaf. Then we ordered loaded home fried bowls which came not even Luke warm. Not appetizing looking at all. We had the shrimp and grits omelette (one of the best I have had) along with the home fries and they were both great! We also had the fire grits and they were very tasty.
