And the absolute worst part about my experience was this rude cashier lady that gave me attitude after I told her that I was missing a sandwich I had ordered. This amazed me. I never realized how good this Einstein's location was until I went to the terrible one in Torrance! This is my usual Tuesday morning stop for the office bagels, and they always treat me right. They almost always have the grab and go bagel boxes ready to go, so there is not much of a line and I can get the bagels and a coffee and be out the door in 5 minutes. The staff is nice, and there does not seem to be much turnover. And, unlike the Torrance location, there are always enough people to get the job done so it does not seem like total chaos behind the counter. By the way, their bagels are fantastic too! read more

I'm a student at Cal State Long Beach, and everyday when I drive to school I see this place and I've always wanted to give it a try. Today I decided to try it, and right when I walked into the door I was greeted with a nice welcome and asked right away what I would like to order. I told the man it was first time and he said no rush whenever I was ready he would be ready. I looked at the wide variety of options they have and I finally settled on the bacon & spinach sandwich and it is AMAZING !!! The bagel has spinach on it, the flavors are great, I would definitely recommend it. I also got an iced coffee which is great! The service was a great way to start off the morning and the wait was not that long. The cafe latte was amazing, but when I got my nova lox, it was a little too salty for me. As I am sitting enjoying my morning bagel as I often do here at Einstein's. I felt compelled to write this review. The girl working the counter had just come up and was preparing to take a customer and this lady just berated her for not seeing that she was waiting. Not at the check in line might I add. But, none the less this lady although, had received service felt the need to pronounce and spell out the girl's name as if the girl didn't know how to spell her own name. Einsteins is hands down my favorite quick breakfast place. The staff are wonderful and always make my day with their friendliness (especially the ones that remember the regulars). The bagels are simply incredible and represent all the endless possibilities of what one can do with a bagel. Seriously! My favorite is the Asiago bagel. With so many variations, it can get overwhelming. The breakfast sandwiches are delicious an you can't go wrong with a simple bagel and schmear or lox. If I ever need to cater for a morning event or road trip, I always stop off for a box of bagels and schmear. Altogether, they easily and deliciously put donuts to shame. read more

I am a huge bagel fan and Einsteins has a huge variety of different bagels. I usually just get a Baker's Dozen for me and my family and everyone gets their flavor of choice. It is best to get there early before the rush to ensure you get your bagels of choice. My wife loves sourdough, and I love pretzel and every other time we have been there, they run out of one of them. I have tried their turkey sandwich and I was kinda disappointed as the sandwich was messy and fell apart in my lap. Other than that this place is great and the pretzel bagels are amazing! read more

The point of this review is to remind you to check your order before you leave the store. I ordered the loxs sandwich which is supposed to be on a toasted bagel with lox, cream cheese, capers, red onions, and tomatoes. The first thing I noticed was the bagel was not toasted! If you look at the picture, ask yourself where's the tomato and onion. I was so angry at myself for not checking this order before I left because I was in a hurry. But, there is nothing sadder than being hungry and disappointed when you realize the wonderful bagel and lox you thought you were about to eat is not even toasted! Let me not forget to mention that it took over 15 mins to receive my order, and when I asked the cashier what was the hold up, 1st she looked at me like I was crazy, then it appeared she was going to check but Instead kept walking to the back of the store and never returned!! I recieved my bagel with a hair laying right on the top from the chef, went back inside to get a new one , all they did was apologize to me but if youre going to be in the food industry with long hair at least wear a hair net. after i saw the hair i soon lost my appetite. Trying to eat my other sandwich with no onions as my only request and they couldn't even get that right, after she made me order specifically at the order window and as the order was over i was directed to another window to pay. I did not appreciate their service. Next time your employee leaves a hair in my food dont go talking in spanish right in front of me talking about my sandwich when im fluent in spanish and can hear you. Love these bagels! As of April 2018 they still have 13 bagels for $7 on Mondays. Get them in the morning because they run out quickly. They are always fresh, chewy-soft like bagels should be, nice sized and they freeze well (double bag and remove the air before sealing.) The service is a little slow but that is not a big deal. FYI, I don't buy the prepared bagels... too expensive. read more

This morning, at around 10:15ish, my son and I went in this store (Bellflower Blvd) and bought a baker's dozen bagels and 2 cream cheese to take to his office to share with coworkers and a cup of coffee for himself. The cashier was pleasant with my son ringing his total purchase. However, when he went to the condiments counter to fill his cup with vanilla coffee, the pot was empty. So he asked the girl employee who was cleaning the counter if there's some more vanilla flavored coffee. The employee responded, and I quote, "its behind it" , and by that she meant (thank God we guessed right!) the smaller pot that's not labeled at all slightly behind the pot labeled Vanilla Coffee. Her tone was not pleasant at all, and it came across as to us as "leave me alone, I'm tired" tone. Then, my son asked her if they have soy milk instead of the milk and the half and half cream that they have at the counter. She responded (again in the same tone) and I quote "we're out." Just like that, without asking anyone she works with, or at least apologize and explain why they don't have it. This store who sells bagels and coffee has ran out of soy milk this early? If it were me, I would have told her something about her poor customer service at that very moment. She's lucky that my son was with me and eyeballing me to not say anything. What I can advise to this employee is "if you're not happy with your job, maybe it's about time for you to look for another one. The one that does not require good customer service skills. This job is not cut for you. You are the face of your employer to its customers. Brush up on your customer service skills. read more

Yummy bagels... the Spinach Florentine is highly recommended even without cream cheese. I also like the cinnamon raisin and the pumpernickel. The Spicy Nacho is also good but packs real heat which might be too much for breakfast... Although we like going in on weekends for breakfast, we get there early or it can be a really long line. Really long. They are open super early. So many breakfast places in Belmont Shore don't open until 9:00 on weekdays. Hello. 9:00? Also they have some bagles sandwiches that are more lunch than breakfast. I couldn't wait to come home and right the review. Today was the worst experience ever. Are they under new management or something? I used to come here ALL THE TIME. People knew my name when I walked in and I came a few months ago and It was awful , thought it was just a bad day. Came there like 2 more times and it was still bad. I was craving bagels at the time so I always kept giving in to that place. Came here this morning and wow. Walked up and the girl taking my order was RUDE. I wasn't finished ordering and she had walked over to the other register and just looked at me while a stayed on the other side BECAUSE I WASNT DONE. And she was so rude when asking what else I want, like I was annoying her. Um sorry you are a Bagel place and I'm getting some for my family... So after I ordered went to the other side and heard two ladies say that all their bagels were wrong, they were so rude to them when asked to fix and then a man got something wrong with his right after. They weren't that busy at the time either .... THEN (I like my bagels extra toasted) the lady told me she was burning them everytime . I have been coming to this particular location since I have been attending CSULB. It's perfect distance from campus and serves as an excellent hub to do last minute studying before an exam or to touch up details on a project or paper due the same day. Since graduating, I like to come back from time to time to read, reflect and get some work done. Each and every time, I am greeted enthusiastically by Miss Erica (excuse me if I spelt your name wrong) and she is always eager to hear how her customer's days are going or how the food is. She trains her staff to do the same, and everyone who I have ever met here has always been such a delight. Though I can make a lox bagel and have coffee at home, there is something special about coming to Einstein's to get my fix. Whatever they're doing, from cultivating superb customer service skills, to having cute mustache cups, it's working, because I always find my way back here.
