I come here what seems like once a year lol for the past 5 years... I tend to come here on my way home after being in the area I tend to arrive just around noon so usually I may not always get to grab the flavors I want but I always still grab a bakers dozen and a couple spreads I have never gotten a sandwich or anything they have like a lox bagel etc so I can't say much there but I will say I always go when it's not busy since it's close to noon and I get service right away and it's always been super friendly and the bagels are soft, chewy and fresh

    Lox sandwich on everything bagel.

Stop buy hopeing to pick up a quick bite. We ordered two lox sandwiches and a plain bagel with cream cheese. The service was surprisingly quick and the staff was friendly. This was my friends first time and she shared that "Oh my, this just made me happy " needless to say we will be back.

Came here because I received a free birthday egg sandwich with a purchase. As soon I dropped the kids off at school, I drove to the closest location. Placed my order through mobile app. Quick and easiest way to get your food. When I'm in a mood for a good delicious bagel, Einstein Bros Bagels never disappoint me. For my freebie, I ordered the Texas Brisket consisting smoked beef brisket, cheddar cheese, smoky chipotle aioli on a cheddar jalapeño bagel. The brisket was a little dry, but still satisfied with my free breakfast sandwich! Service is a hit and miss because sometime it's not as friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Place is spot clean though.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Stopped in late morning to grab a baker's dozen box of bagels for our annual family New Year breakfast. They open very early so it's always hit or miss what is left that late. They have soooo many yummy varieties! Though I also love cinnamon raisin or cranberry, we opted for the savory varieties because we were going to top them with our own smoked salmon and cream cheese. (They do offer a salmon and cream cheese bagel sandwich, though, if you just want a single serving! All of their breakfast sandwiches actually sound really good; someday I will try one!) The shop does offer many varieties of "schmear" - cream cheese you can purchase with different add-ins, prepped in little containers and ready to go. They were out of poppyseed and the spinach Florentine, but we chose a few garlic, onion and sesame varieties. They said they were out of our favorite "Everything" at the moment and we were crushed, but the nice gal that was helping us said that since we were getting just a box of unsliced bagels to go, we could wait a few minutes and get a few from a batch that was coming out of the oven. Talk about fresh! The selection and price were excellent, the service was great and the bagels so fresh and good sized. We toasted a few, ate some soft and fluffy, all topped with our salmon, cream cheese and onions. Good stuff! Einstein's also sells pastries, drinks and lunch items.

Terrible service. Unorganized and chaotic. Doesn't answer their phones for inquiries. Doesn't greet customers. Flies hanging out inside the bagel shelves. my order wasn't ready and had to help them set up my bagel dozen. I asked if bagels can be toasted the rude rep said "yeah we can't do that." as they're toasting all the other orders lol.. Maria was extremely rude and condescending. Unfortunately she works where customer service is key to run the business. No idea what she's doing there with her attitude.

    "Farmhouse"

Been wanting to try this place for a while now. Unfortunately I was not impressed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The location is bigger than it looks so pace is now. Ample amount of seating, and tables not in use were clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The setup is odd, you order at one register and told to walk down the line to pay at another register. I'm sure the system works for them but it's odd. The cashier taking orders was clearly no in a good mood. As she tried avoiding her job, and wasn't the nicest. That said, I have a hard time believing the moto of hot fresh daily, if you're telling me a bagel place runs out of most of their bagel choices when they advertise the sandwiches on plain bagels, but run out and don't make more? There are a lot of bagel places around me, and this one is a fail for me. Ordered two egg bacon and cheese, along with one farmhouse. Almost 30 bucks for it. The flavor was meh at best. So I value in it in my opinion. With all the others that do make their own bagels, I think I'll stick to those.

Food was super greasy, and I mean super greasy but it's definitely good and the wait time was less then 8 mins. Also ordered the ice coffee which was nothing special but still a good iced coffee. The cookie was super soft but a little too sweet for my taste. Overall a cozy spot for some breakfast.

Besides, for the next (insert the duration of your cruise here) days you'll be eating at the buffet a least once a day. No need to start Buffeting it up before you step foot on the Lido deck. That's what brought us to 5th Ave Bagelry. Located less than 1/2 mile from our hotel, it was an easy walk down the surprisingly un-busy streets of Long Beach, CA at 9:00 on a Thursday morning. 5th Ave Bagelry has A LOT of varieties of bagels. To put a number to it, about 25 different varieties of bagels, all made fresh on site daily. Add to that, 8 different flavours of cream cheese and you've got nearly endless bagel-and-cream-cheese options. To be fair, you're not limited to bagel & cream cheese. They also offer breakfast bagel sandwiches and non-breakfast bagel sandwiches and a few specialty items. Even though it was 9:00 in the morning I was tempted to try a pizza bagel but I resisted. The siren song of a jalapeño bagel with jalapeño cream cheese wins out every time. (This is a proven statistic. Just ask me.) They also offer an endless variety of coffees in just about every possible fashion (latte, espresso, iced, iced blended). Smoothies, juices, and soft drinks round out a very impressive selection of offerings. The staff at 5th Ave Bagelry appeared to be very focused. While they weren't swamped when we visited, they did have a steady influx of customers. It's an order-at-the-counter-and-we'll-call-your-number-when-it's-ready arrangement which seems to work well for them. All food is delivered in a paper bag. Our food delivery was about 10 minutes and everything was hot and accurate. My iced vanilla latte was exactly the go-juice I needed to jump start embarkation day. My jalapeño bagel with jalapeño cream cheese? Chef's kiss. I love jalapeño bagels that present a little spicy heat. The jalapeño cream cheese managed to round out my "Jim loves spicy food for breakfast" life choices. During our roughly 1/2 hour there I didn't see anyone come out from behind the counter to tidy up the dining room, which was needed. I'm assuming they had a pretty intense breakfast rush and just hadn't fully recovered yet, as one of the two trash bins was full. In a perfect world I'd be able to visit enough to try all of the bagels, but home isn't in Long Beach.

We wanted to try the simpler stuff on the menu. We got the just egg and sausage in a plain bagel and just egg and cheese and sausage on a Jalapeño bagel. I can't remember the last time we paid around $20 for a breakfast meal for two. They were both tasty but needed salt hot sauce and ketchup to be added. The best part is they have all this out for you to grab. Once we added it, it was so good. The portion size for the price is incredible. No way did I think I would pay 6.99 for a big bagel, a large piece of egg and 2 pieces of sausage. It was such a great price. Now I am so excited to come and try others. But the prices do jump nearly double, but I think it will be worth it. Check out the menu pics I added to see the prices. It's hard to hear inside. We sat inside to eat since it was very clean and well maintained. They brought us our bagels but I think that was because we forgot to get up from being called. Again it was hard to hear but when the food came out it was all worth it! The jalapeño bagel did not shine as much. It tasted like a plain bagel with no spice even from the bits of jalapeños. This made me wonder if their sweet bagels are different. They recommend the Asiago bagel so maybe I'll try that for the next savory option. Honestly I don't know when they make the bagels but we came around 11am, try coming earlier and maybe the bagels will be fresher. By noon the line picked up, but it never got as busy as other stores around. I'm excited to come back and try the omelet sandwiches and other bagels!

Since then the grilled Reuben has been my measuring stick for every restaurant that serves it. It's a must! It shows the attention to detail. It's not a sandwich you can rush. It requires its own time to caramelize and set the flavors up properly. Just like a house made soup, a Grilled Reuben can tell you a lot. And, it just happens to be my favorite sandwich of all time! So. High marks on the store itself. It has a very open air feel, lots of natural lighting, high ceilings and then a hidden court yard behind the shop. It's very clean with lots of colors and art. The music is perfect for the space. The menu is varied and they have both alcoholic drinks and non alcoholic drinks. It's a deli. And they absolutely fill the roll perfectly. And as anyone will tell you, who frequents any deli in the country. What matters is the food. Period. All the niceties mean nothing if the food distant stand up. So... how did they do? Meh. I've had worse. Much worse. I've also had much better. And understand his is my personal opinion. I'm well aware that my comments will not reflect the opinion of everyone. But, the corned beef. They do not cook it in house. It didn't appear to be a brisket although with it being shaved as thinly as it is I don't know if that would help. Brisket corned beer works best when it's nice thick beautiful cuts that break apart and melt in your mouth. But. As you can see in the picture, they don't grill the corned beef but they do pile it pretty darn high. Which is nice. The sauerkraut wasn't grilled. The rye wasn't roasted long enough so the Swiss didn't properly melt and set. Not enough Thousand Island dressing. The rye has the perfect texture and it helps to very nicely. An excellent Jewish rye! The pesto pasta salad was very nice. And it looked as if the other sides were made with an equal amount of attention and love. So high marks there. This is one of those tough reviews because the reality is the atmosphere, the staff and the location are all excellent. The sandwich needs some work. Remember that the Grilled Reuben is the ONLY TRUE American Sandwich. It was created from scratch for the 1942 World's Fair in New York City. It's an original! Treat it with the respect it deserves. And this three star sandwich... of all sandwiches is a hard pass. Sorry. But, if you would ever like to have me come into your restaurant and show you how to serve the best Reuben of your life... just invite me back. I'd love to show you how to make some simple tweaks and turn a meh into a don't miss!
