I regret going to this location every time. It's on my way home from school and I love Einstein bagels but this location is the worst. It can be dead and you will still wait 20 for a sandwich. I've tried the app but this location just never seems to get it together. I've worked at Starbucks and I know how hectic it can get. But here they just don't care, they mess up orders, they have no line system, they're pretty rude. It just sucks. I recommend their sandwiches but please just go to a different location. read more

Number one, if you're going to ask for my name then call my name instead of calling the order out. Number two I like bagels toasted and usually they're only warmed so I ask for double toasted and still just get a warmed bagel. It takes way too long to get a bagel from this location. One single bagel took almost 10 minutes. And it wasn't busy. But the thing that bothered me the most was the two women working behind the cash register without gloves taking money and then fixing drinks and give them to customers without gloves. Don't bother... I used to frequent Einstein Bagels many times while I was still working. Their breakfast sandwich at the time was excellent and I looked forward going there. That was 8 years ago. This morning I went with my wife and we both had two different sandwiches. Wow it went downhill. We both had two eggs on the sandwich and it certainly was not two eggs. I love Einstein Bros! The bagels are phenomenal. I ordered a chocolate chip bagel with turkey and cheese w/ butter. My family ordered the Nova Lox, Farmhouse, and another bagel with just plain cream cheese and they all loved it. Also, the staff is incredibly friendly. The girl working this morning (3/12 at 9:45AM) with short brown hair not only asked me questions that I didn't even know that I wanted to specify (better tasting bagel, yay) but she was smiling and kind while doing it. Dear Einstein's, It breaks my heart to write this review because I have been with you since you opened in the 90's and I smelled that sweet carb-ladened perfume you wore. There have been ebbs and flows of course in terms of cleanliness, food prep, and accuracy. Unfortunately, of the last 4 times we've been together, 3 of them were bad. 1. I paid you my hard-earned money for a 2 egg Farmhouse, got home and alas I received only 1 thin ass egg, no pepper smear, and a single sad piece of bacon. You just don't listen to me anymore. 2. I ordered an everything bagel, toasted with lite garden veggie cream cheese from you. I was sick and SOOO desiring for the comfort food that in my post college days you provided on this days I really needed it. Got home and it was not toasted, had regular cream cheese, and almost all of the "everything" on it was off it. Ugh. Seriously, are seeing someone else? You're acting strange. 3. I paid you for a 2 egg Farmhouse. It was delicious. I'm down to the last few bites and I see a bug crawl out from under the the paper that lines the basket you put the bagel in. I stop eating immediately. I peel back the paper and notice crumbs (not from my bagel), sesame seeds (also not from my bagel), and dried cheese stuck underneath complete with 3 more bugs. Sonofabitch! You HAVE been seeing someone else and you gave me the STD of the food service world: BUGS! I was so disgusted, I gathered up the rest of the sandwich, tossed it, walked out; then started kicking myself for not at least taking video of it. We've have had our ups and downs for sure, but at this point I will most likely only stop in for a brief head nod and a cup of vanilla hazelnut coffee; there are too many other great bagel places that are clean, accurate, and loyal. I'll now be playing the field with Bruegger's, Bagels Plus, and Panera. Nothing serious mind you. I'm not ready for a commitment, but who knows with time...maybe? Sorry Einstein's. We've been together for a long time, but you are just not good for me emotionally, physically or financially. It's not you, it's me. Tampa has a shortage of cafes to go to which is a problem for people like me who like doing work outside of the house. Almost every Starbucks in town has too few seats and way too many people (who usually aren't even customers). Einstein Bros. is a step above Starbucks and offers unlimited coffee for the price of one cup. No reward gimmick required - making Einstein's perfect for when you need to get things done and need a good dosage of caffeine to flow through your body. Plus I love their bagels...so much. There's a certain nostalgia that goes with Einstein for me since we used to have one on my first college campus. I was more than happy that their lunch menu now includes a "Vegetarian Southwest Veggie with Quinoa" which also just happens to be vegan (though not gluten free, so be careful my gluten-intolerant friends). I thrilled that I was not "forced" to have a doughy, starchy, carby bagel with no topping (no shmear or butter for me, please!) as I normally do at bagel shops. This is my favorite breakfast spot by the University. Often over the summer I dropped by in the morning for a Box O' Joe and bakers dozen for my coworkers. I never called it in because I never needed to; it didn't take them more than 5-7 minutes to get the whole thing ready and have me out the door to work. This place is so dirty. The beverage station that houses the teas, coffees, and condiments was disgusting. There were no napkins. The tables and bars were dirty, I had to clean it myself. I'm giving them a 4 for the smoked salmon otherwise it would be a three. I don't like that they close at five. The shmear bites are clearly frozen and and put in a toaster oven. But they are fast and the bagels themselves are good. They have a nice variety of toppings and good coffee. Besides their Asiago bagel and cream cheese, I've struggled to find a menu item that I'm gaga over. Everything is just 'good' or, sometimes, 'ok'. However, their coffee is delicious! Buy an Einstein mug for under $3.00 and bring it with you every time to refill with any coffee for $1.00! read more

Came to get a baker's dozen special today! We met Matt and he was great! Exceptional service! They didn't have pumpernickel and he offered to bake them while we wait! He also explained what Shmearfuls (mini bagels filled with smears) were and gave us a great recommendation on which flavors to try! He also offered us water while we waited for the bagels to bake. Most places just say that's all we have and you have to choose something else so it really made us feel special! On February 9th I was a half an hour early to work and decided to visit this location to pick up breakfast for myself and a co-worker; we have been regulars at this particular location for the better half of three years. This particular day happened to be bagel day, something we hadn't been aware of prior to visiting. However, when we got inside there was only a person ahead of us at the register so we weren't expecting much of a delay. We ordered two bagels and an orange juice. After paying and waiting for 23 minutes we ended up leaving empty-handed to avoid being late for work. The people behind the counter were not organized, lacked communication, and an overall appearance of caring about the quality of service they were providing. For a greater part of my waiting a bag of someone's order sat atop the coffee machine completely unnoticed by the barista at the end who was supposed to be handing out orders. I asked several times about our order - to which the barista was utterly confused and the supervisor could offer little more than "it's in the queue." Given the poor experience we had at this location, my co-worker reached out to Einstein's corporate offices via e-mail. She explained that we weren't asking for a refund or any sort of special accommodation - simply an apology and assurance that the regional manager would be informed of the poor performance. Corporate responded and informed us that they'd have the regional manager contact us in regards to our experience. It is now 44 days later and we have yet to hear from corporate or the regional manager regarding this issue. I work in the service industry and understand the frustration and often times confusion that comes with special days, like Bagel Day. I would've understood, if when asked, the manager explained that they had had a rush shortly before we arrived and were behind on bagels. I would've understood if anyone had offered some sort of explanation as to why it took 23 minutes for a four man assembly line to whip up 2 bagels with schmear. However, we have gone completely overlooked. Several different co-workers and I have since discussed our recent experiences at this location and have all come to the universal conclusion that this location is no longer worth visiting. It's obvious there was a change in management and the new management is disorganized and lacks a certain care for their patrons and the quality service they have come to expect at this location. read more
