Awesome service and food ,would strongly recommend this place and best drinks in town

Ooooohweeeee mama that chispa got me feeling some type of way. Normally your boy Lara sticks to a traditional light beer, however sometimes I'll venture out and try something different, but I'm a creature of habit and stick to what I like. Nevertheless the boys convinced me to try a chispa and Phat Ws in the chat. It felt nice to let my hair down and let loose. The vibes were poppin, the music was bumpin, and the chispas were hittin. Overall would highly recommend but be careful because they are sneaky strong and will sneak up on you in the middle of the night, kinda like I did to my pwincess when we first met but that's talk for another time. I actually can't wait to return so she can try this place too! She's a Latin bombshell so she'll love the food and atmosphere and you know your boy Lara will be getting another chispa or two. Maybe after you'll catch us dancing the night away. She's an expert flamenco dancer and I know how to do the griddy. This was the BEST service I've ever had at a restaurant. Free chips and salsa off the bat I knew it was going to be good. We got our drinks within a minute and they were huge. After ordering our food, we got it in about 15 minutes. They constantly checked on us, refilled waters and brought out more chips and salsa. I got the chille relleno and it was absolutely delicious and came with a plentiful side of rice and beans. I loved that they kept filling up the chips because I like to dip them in beans. My wife and I met some friends for dinner at the NW Military location and boy was it busy. We didn't wait long before getting a table in the bar area (my friend knew some staff as they went often). The drinks were cold, delicious and not short on the adult content. The food was very VERY good. I am a big fan of Chile Relleno and often opt for that when I go to a New Mexican restaurant. This did not disappoint at all. My wife raves about her dinner as well not short on portions this turned out to be a wonderful evening spent with friends. I made a return visit to El Mirasol to meet up with friends I had not seen in years. Service was very good and patient as we all gathered. We were greeted with good chips and salsa. I ordered the salad with seafood (crab and four perfectly grilled large prawns) and an iced tea. I think my entire group was very happy with their food and the very good service. read more

I must say that I have had TexMex food before, but this place really gives you the real deal. Very very authentic, food is excellent, service is nice and is worth it the wait. The atmosphere of that place is nice as well, place is big and clean. What do you do when you're closing out a road trip to San Antonio on a Tuesday afternoon- you eat at Marisol's! We arrived at four in the afternoon and were a large group of eight. The place did not seem overly busy so were seated promptly. PARKING: Lots of parking available as the restaurant is located in a large shopping center. The restaurant- this place was hands down gorgeous. The decor and set up was above par and almost fancy like- definitely an upper Mexico city restaurant vibe The food: there were eight of us in our party and we all enjoyed our dinner. Alcoholic beverages were available which was super nice. SERVICE: What is good food without great service- they both equate to nothing! Lucky for us we had amazing service and our beverages never went empty. I don't think I will be returning to San Antonio any time soon, but if you're in town, and feel like genuine Mexican food, this is definitely a spot worth trying. read more

The rumors are true, the Chispas are STRONG. The food portions are sort of small for the price, but I know I'm paying for the atmosphere. Food is still incredibly delicious, recommend the flautas and the nachos are great for sharing. The rice has never been dry here, and I'm impressed by that. Wow! The atmosphere's and staff are popping at El Mirasol! The moment you walk in you are greeted! We were told a wait of an hour, so we headed over to the bar. The wait was no longer than 20 mins, the request was first available. So if you don't mind where you sit, that's the way to go. Obvious a favorite local restaurant! Bar staff seemed short, think 3 bartenders, assuming due to the great resignation a number of businesses have a shortage staffing. Seemed the wait for drinks was a bit long. Drinks, ordered draft Dos Equis and Chispa! Meh. Beer was cool, not cold although presented in an ice frosted mug. The mug was colder than the beer. Let me say this, nothing better than a nice COLD BEER. The Chispa, I will say was a bit different in a good way! Yes, does not taste like liquor, trust me. This drink reminded me of a Mexican Martini. The Chispa was scrumptious and I was pretty relaxed after 1/2 a drink. On to the food! The chips fresh and unseasoned. Dire need of some seasoning even salt would have sufficed. The guacamole was a bit pricey, however worth it, chunky so you can tell real avocados and not watered down. Mole Enchilada plate, I will say was smoothly flavored, perfectly seasoned. Beans refried, ya so good and so creamy that ya I was in bean heaven. Enchiladas almost like grandmas! whenever i'm in San Antonio usually my family would always take me to a mexican restaurant but i've quite honestly never felt satisfied with my meal until i ate at El Mirasol! I had the lobster quesadilla and it tasted soooo good. Yes, the quesadilla wasn't overflowing with lobster by any means, but I thought there was a good amount of lobster per quesadilla triangle, especially considering its price. I love their toritilla chips as well, the salsas were nice and spicy. My table got the calamari and queso flameado to share and personally I think the calamari was not worth it. You already know this, there is no reason for me tell you how good the food is, except I had to share the love. The contrast between this and my other restaurant experience in SA couldn't be more stark. The food is consistently delicious. Best beans ever, charro or refried. We've been having to come to SA for the past 5 weeks for clinical appointments. We eat at Mirasol every time and they have yet to disappoint. They bless our hard days! About the sixth time eating there today and the waiters now bring us our drink order as soon as we sit down. We always sit outside and it's really pleasant.
