The young lady taking everyone to there seat was totally overwhelmed was not able to seat people by the order of the last it took about an hour to finally be seated when we were told 20 minutes. We were very happy with our meal at El Paisa. Roger was the best server we've had in a long time. He was very attentive and kind. Most importantly, the food was delicious! My husband used to live in Guadalajara, Mexico and he said the food was very authentic. We ordered the enchiladas Guadalajara and the taco platter with carne asada, carnitas, and chicken tacos all were delicious. Ehhh.... I came for the taco bar but unfortunately they stop at 2Pm so I was a little late. I decided to stay and eat something off the menu anyways. I was not impressed at all. I ordered the burrito supreme and my boyfriend ordered the Cali burrito. Food was just very bland, not really any flavor! The lettuce they use inside and out of the burrito is like ice burg salad lettuce with the carrots in it from the bag that costs like .99 at Walmart. The salsa was really tomatoey. And not to mention there was literally maybe 7 tables filled in this huge place and it still took 15 mins for someone to even bring us our chips and salsa and ask for our drink order. Portions are bonus... which we loved. The fresh salsa was refreshing. Good presentation was fun. Appetizer Guacamole was in house made and delicious! We had the Molcajete with seafood and we were beyond full in a good way. But the rule is.. there is always room for dessert so try the churros. read more

I don't normally leave bad reviews, the food was great, been here multiple times. The service, definitely went down hill. Server grabbed my wife and I wrong stuff that we didn't order, walked away like nothing, did this all night. Probably the worst issue we had is that the manager came around 4 times and everytime I said something, he just walked off. Tried this evening for first time. Seated quickly and staff were nice. Then..it went downhill. Everyone else got their food and I was still waiting. Got my food after bout an hour (after told multiple times was on the way out) and after ready give up on it. Was told that another table got our food as orders put in same time. Hope fixing that issue. Was told everything was comped. When lefti asked if good to go and told yes. However our drinks were not comped; which no problem paying for but don't tell me good if going to follow me to door asking who is going to pay for drinks when just told me good to go. Shocking to say my bill for 2 margheritas and a sods was $35...what?!? Roughly 15.25 for a drink? That is my fault for not looking closely but I would have passed had I known. We came here for a family dinner since I flew in. There was a singer on the stage singing so loud that I had to stand outside for a while to talk to relatives. All of our orders were wrong and because it was so loud our waiter couldn't hear us. Won't be coming again. read more

Excellent food and service. Hubby had the seafood enchiladas, I had the rolled tacos - chicken and beef mix and added a side of beans and rice. The food was so delicious. We also enjoyed a lime margarita, which was also very good. Our server was Roger, he was friendly, and timely in his service. The inside is huge. Be a great spot for large family, extended family dinners. It was clean, you could see into the kitchen, it appeared organized and tidy. I love that I live nearby. I've had a hard time finding good Mexican food in Utah. Can't wait to try some more of their offerings. I would also like to come on a night when they offer the mariachi band. read more

Loud loud loud! They have Karaoke and it's beyond loud.. Service was very attentive even tho it took over 45 minutes to get our food and they served the appetizer Queso Fundido with our meals. The Queso was boiling hot but our meals were ice cold. We were so hungry we ate. Since our friends were paying and didn't seem to care about the cold we didn't mention it. AYCE Taco Bar is a good bargain with several options for tacos that pretty much everyone can get in to. Small, delicious, street tacos. Toppings on the bar looked fresh and plentiful as well. I opted for the ceviche tostadas. I tried the pescado and the mango and was extremely happy with both choices. Ceviche is had to find (good ceviche) and these guys nailed it. There are 5-6 choices on the menu and you cannot go wrong with any of them. They run about $6 each and two will get you stuffed. The guacamole is worth ordering as well. Some of the best I have had in a restaurant and they don't overthink it. It is made with the basics which is what I love. Excited to come back and try some of the other menu items. There was a siete mares soup that looks amazing and is also hard to find in Ogden. read more

What a gem of a restaurant. The ambience is well put together, welcoming and classy. You could spend an hour looking at the menu and that is no bad thing. Amongst the items that you would expect to see, there lots of interesting dishes that you may have never tried, or even heard of. It makes me wish I could order a bite of everything. The dishes that I have tried here have been of great quality. The little touches here really stand out. For instance, the tacos de birria came with diced onions and cilantro in the side and (my favorite) lime wedges to cut the wonderful (and quite spicy) sauce. Lastly, the customer service is some of the best that I've ever experienced. Will and the rest of the staff are thoughtful and attentive, without being intrusive. There were 8 kinds of meat (carne asada, barbacoa, steak & peppers, chipotle chicken, carnitas, chile verde, al pastor and I can't remember the last one). They include rice and beans. I love love this place. The Mexican food here is as authentic as you can get it. The Chef is amazing, shrimp cooked just right not over done, steak is perfection . Their rice is delicious as authentic as you can get it. I'm sure others will disagree, I've been their twice and the consistency in their service and food is worth the drive to Ogden. The service was terrible... long wait and there was only one table seated when we first arrived. They were not at all busy on this Monday night. The wait for the check was over 30 mins. We had been returning customers to this restaurant even though the food was mediocre, as we like the atmosphere and open space of the restaurant, and sometimes there is live music which is fun as well. However, after our service today we will not be coming back. My girlfriend ordered the chicken tortilla soup for the first time today, and after one bite decided that it wasn't for her as the flavor was not what she is used to. We sent the food back and ordered something else. When it was time to leave, we noticed the soup was still charged on the bill. I asked the waitress if we could have that removed since we sent it back, and her response was "we can't take that off just because your girlfriend didn't like it". So I asked if I could have the dish then to take home and give to our neighbors to see if they would possibly like it, to which she said no as she already threw it away. I told her there was no way I was going to pay for something I didn't eat as I have never had a restaurant charge me for food I sent back. I thought that was pretty standard in the industry. She said she'd talk to her manager. So she comes back very flustered and says "don't worry, I'll pay for it" and hands me the check, then proceeds to sit there and stare daggers at me as I sign a tip. It was very uncomfortable, and I ended up tipping her less than I was going to because of her weak attempt to bully me into a tip. Anyways, we won't be coming back after that experience. read more

Literally heaven for me!!!!! Being spoiled by Mexican food growing up in California, and to have found this amazing taco bar has been one of the highlights while living here in the suburbs. Decided to stop in for a bite to eat with sister and brother in law. Not busy at all. Surprised as it was 2:00 on a Saturday. So, got seated right away. We all decided to have a burrito. I had chili verde, sister got chicken and brother in law got carne asada. They were huge! I come from California and have been here just a short time. We love coming here to get take out, yet tonight was a huge disappointment. Their salsa is truly what keeps us coming back, but tonight it tasted like it was bad. If I could give this place a 0 star I would. First, I called a week in advance to make a reservation they said they had my name and that I had the reservation set. We get there, and we get there 30 min before our reservation like they told me on the phone, then we get there Sunday (5/8/22)they tell us they don't accept reservations on sundays. Then why say you did on the phone a week before?? So we put our name down, with the wait time they gave us at 45 min. People got there after us, and were getting seated. Then they told us 15 min then after a hour and some min the lady came and said our table was getting ready, not even two min later she came back and said it'll be another 10 min. While waiting, we see a some people who had just gotten there tell the host they had a reservation!! They told us they didn't take reservations! The guy that was there, Jose, was rude from the beginning. Very rude and should not be working there at all. We decided to leave because they were just lying to us. Then my mom went to go tell them that it wasn't fair for them to seat people before us that weren't there that long. And that Jose had the audacity to tell my mom that he refused service to her. For what?? For telling him it wasn't fair. Very rude staff. Very unorganized. I hope you guys get better workers. And treat customers right. Would not recommend at all!! We enjoyed our dinner. James our server was stellar making me want to go back. I had the mole enchiladas with chicken, beef and cheese. Very good. Wife had the cheese enchiladas, also good. The guacamole was very fresh and delicious. Chips and salsa were good. At first glance the prices seem a little high, but you're getting more than the average amount food.
