Thank you El Taco Rico for a very delicious dinner! I ordered the carnitas burrito plate which was huge ! The burrito was huge and very tasty the only issue was a huge lump of fat in the burrito. Which is why I only gave 4 star's. Rice was cooked to perfection. Those beans were the true star on this plate. I bit the spoon cause those beans were so damn good! I decided to try El Taco Rico today due to some Mexican food cravings. So I Yelped and found this family owned establishment. They're clean, organized, and limit only 4 customers inside at a time for ordering/pickup - which is nice. I ordered carne asada tacos and a carne asada burrito to try. They also provide complimentary chips & homemade salsa with every order. My goodness, the tacos were great and so is the burrito. Plus their chips & salsa is super delicious! I also liked the salsas they pair with the food. The red one has a strong spicy kick, and the green one is a bit milder. All in all, highly recommended and I'll be coming back to try other things from their menu. The shrimp platter looks promising. Other pluses: An open kitchen and a friendly staff. Some places don't and you would have to pay extra to add. The beans tasted Great! I also like the salsa a lot. It's great for the chips. I seen some of the reviews and some people don't like it. WTH. I hadn't dined at El Taco Rico in several years, but was in the vicinity and decided to grab a bite to eat to go, my same ole items I ordered here in the past -- breakfast burrito (crispy bacon, eggs, & beans) and a small orange bang. I asked the female staff member at the counter if it includes cheese and she replied that it didn't, that I would have to order the bean and cheese burrito. They couldn't just add a little cheese to my burrito!?!? I would've gladly paid a bit more. I specifically requested that the bacon be prepared crispy. She said okay! What a huge disappointment, the tortilla appeared overly greasy and the burrito was filled with pieces of RAW FATTY BACON. The burrito was a concoction of mush, completely unsafe and unhealthy to serve a customer raw bacon. The chips & salsa weren't fresh. In addition, the orange bang tasted flat, it wasn't frothy. I discarded all items, $9.00 straight down the drain. My lunch was ruined. I'll never return here again...ever. read more

This is a family favorite. We have been coming here for years! The name says it all, todo esta muy rico!! Delicious!! This is a family owned establishment. They know us by name and practically by order haha I recommend the Taco Rico Plate, also great with pollo. Their chile rellenos are some of the best. Decided to try this place out for the first time today (based on high Yelp rating & and proximity to work). When trying out a new Mexican food restaurant, I generally order a carne asada burrito or tacos. Figured that if they can't get the basic right, the rest is probably not worth trying. Today, I ordered a carne Asada burrito togo. The burrito comes with meat, beans, onion, cilantro, and salsa. I got mine without onions since I was going back to work. I deal with the public so didn't want to scare them away with onion breathe. lol The size of the burrito was average, not too big or small. Price was $6.10 before tax. What I particularly liked was the fact that the tortilla used was fresh and handmade. Unlike some burritos, it didn't feel like you were eating a lot of tortilla. It was a perfect blend. The marinade in the meat was good. The salsa wasn't bad but it wasn't my favorite. It would have been nice if they had a salsa bar with a few option available. Bonus: I was pleasantly surprised to see that my togo order had chips, salsa, lime, and pickled carrots and jalapeños! I know some places do this but they are few and far in between. Parking wasn't bad, I had to park a few stores down but there was still a few spaces left after I had parked. I went during the lunch hour. Lastly, food was prepared fairly quick. I got my burrito in approx. 5 minutes. It seems that most people dine in here. Maybe I'll consider that next time when I have more time to spare for lunch. read more

I feel really bad not updating the review for this place sooner. To be honest, the days leading up to my event date made me nervous. I heard of so many other bad reviews for taco bookings (not this place) that did not go as planned. The reasonings ranged from the food sucked to high prices and not delivering results as promised. I called the day before to confirm with Maria that my event was still on the calendar. Of course, she was not there that day and a young man confirmed instead. The morning of, all my co workers and I were so wishing it was already lunch time so we could feast on tacos. Again, the anxiety set in because I was not sure if they would have it ready on time. A few hours passed and it was finally time to pick up my food. Man, there was so much people since it was lunch time. This also made me nervous because the wait times took a bit. I finally made it up to the cashier and paid for the food. Maria greeted me and I was never happier to see anyone. She assured me everything would be coming out. Maria made sure nothing was missing and well labeled. When she handed me the chips platter, I had mistaken it for a baked turkey. It was huge. She included on the condiments and made sure everything would fit in a box to ensure safe travels to my event. She really made this experience wonderful. When I got back, everyone was eagerly waiting for my tacos. The spread was fantastic and everyone at work was amazed I splurged so much on the co workers. Try ordering a sope and a taco and you'll be surprised. The Carne Asada is really good here. I walked out feeling pretty darn full. Good for take out or dine-in. They tried this restaurant for the first time. My daughter noticed she was overcharged twice when they asked her for a receipt. She said yes then That's when she noticed they reinserted her card. She asked the lady and the lady said she didn't charge her again. So when my daughter got home she called the bank and the bank confirmed there was two different transaction numbers and she was overcharged. So she called and talked to a lady Maria that said she was older and she would refund my daughter when we got there to get the refund. We offered to call the bank and let them hear that it was overcharged. The cashier that over Charged my daughter was there and started making a problem and treating us rude and calling us liars. This is no way to run a business, especially when the owner's right there and letting her employee talk about us in Spanish not realizing that we can understand.
