I used to love this place but the food is nasty as of lately. I ordered the tamales tonight which I have eaten there several times before and they were awful. I sent my plate back and got crispy tacos instead but those too were gross as well (greasy shell and had big hunks of fat instead of quality meat). My son couldn't eat his food either because he said it wasn't good. Waitress was great though. Hate it because this used to be one of our favorite places. read more

The food was actually pretty good. I came in around 1:30 on a Friday and got the all you can eat bar. They had a decent amount of food selections. I liked that the food was still being cooked and put out even tho it was a half hour till it closed. The lady making the tacos was really nice. It is unlimited, so make sure to come on an empty stomach. The service was alright. Our server came by only once and that was to drop off drinks. The manager was really nice and ended up getting us refills. It was very busy and seemed very chaotic. I would like to try coming at an earlier time. One thing I will say, the parking is awful. There is anout 15 shops in the same area and a parking lot that fits maybe 30. Very crowded and hard to get around. The location is nice though. read more

Order came almost an hour later. No welcome chips per usual. Food from happy hour menu was room temperature and tasted like it sat for the next customer to order. There was a Crack on the edge of the plate. I had to ask for utensils. I asked for hot sauce. I was given a brand new tapatio with the plastic still on. The bull came out a few dollars over charged. Bottom line my Saturday afternoon experience dining at this location was bad. Food and service was horrible 2/10. The restaurant needs to rehaul staffing and quality of food. Brought my wife over for a second time in 2 days. Yesterday we were at the very well staffed Murrieta location. Today we set down at the bar of the sherman oaks location. We were asked if we were here for happy hour and got served full cost drinks. Mistaken acceptance of the bartenders suggestion, i know I got trapped, large sounds better then small. Needless to say the beginning of my stay, feeling more like a fleece down kept me a bit cold and distant towards the bar man, I just don't like feeling like I am being taken advantage of. I decided not to order anything further. When we left I felt compelled to call the location and speak to the general manager instead of leaving a negative review. Spoke to manager, was told to do as I felt. I called to simply say instead of a naggative review I wanted to let him know that he was in a 4.5 star location but allowed it to get run like an airport bar, with different levels of service and costs for different levels of client. Not a very good way to treat locals. We Went across the parking lot to Gyu Kaku, got treated like we walked into the cheers bar with happy drunks and happier staff. read more

Don't Waste Your Money What a disaster. The food was disgusting and the service was totally non-existent. Sunday Brunch was a nightmare with noise, grease, not enough servers and the food--- oh boy, they desperately need a new chef. Many of the sauces on the hot and cold dishes had a ton of sugar, the chicken and beef for the mole or tacos or anything was loaded with fat and grizzle. We both left most of everything and just sat there amazed at how this place has changed from years ago. All the dishes sound good, but geez they tasted just terrible.The server needed to be asked for silverware and never was around for any other service. They ran out of cocoa so we were unable to get that, the coffee was watered down desserts were lousy and boring except for the load of bananas and a gal that could put some ice cream in a dish for you. The check for 2 was over $60 before tip. Honestly if it was only $20 it would have been a waste! Marie Calendars brunch up the street is better! I just remembered many months ago I went there for lunch and they had a buffet. Thought that might be nice for a change, it was seriously awful. Both of us left our plates full and left hungry. A friend brought me here when I told her I've never been to their brunch and it was so good! It was surprisingly full but was glad that the tables are socially distanced. The manager made sure people didn't have more than a 15-30 minute wait time considering there was a lot of people waiting. This place is not great and not terrible. It's adequate chain Mexican food. They seem to be trying to pep up the menu with some new items so that's a positive sign. It always seems to be packed for some reason, though! You can get sauteed vegetables as an alternative to rice and beans but the option is not nearly as tasty as the local Mexican places, of which there are plenty in the area. read more

So my friend and I go to an early dinner, the place is not packed at all, maybe 90% of it is open wide, so there should be absolutely no excuse for bad service. We order our drinks. Simple right? Survey says... WRONG, A-HOLE! Waitress: "Can I take your drink orders." Julie: "I'll have the Pineapple Magarita" Brian: "I'll have a Grey Goose and 7-Up, pardon me, do you have the Le Orange Grey Goose, the orange flavored one"? Waitress: "Umm, I don't know". Brian: "If you do, I'll have the Orange Goose and 7-Up, if not, just give me the regular Grey Goose and 7-Up and put an orange slice in there". Waitress - with confused look, walks away. 10 minutes later, we still haven't gotten the waters we asked for when we first sat down, so I go to the bar because we're both THOROUGHLY parched. When I come back, a new waitress (from the bar) is at the table and she asks me what I and my friend ordered, I repeated the order very clearly, I didn't think it was THAT confusing, a fuckin Pineapple Margarita and Grey Goose & 7-Up with orange. No biggie though, she walks away... 10 minutes later they finally bring our drinks, so it's been 20 minutes since we ordered them and were we alcoholics, I'm sure at that point we'd have already gone into some sort of rage. Julie's drink is correct, but what the fuck did they bring me... All separate, mind you they brought me: 1 Port glass with a shot of Grey Goose in it. 1 Short-stemmed red wine glass with 3 orange slices on top shaved ice. 1 Tall glass of 7-Up 1 Tall glass of regular ice I mean, it's REALLY not that huge of a deal, but god damn, I came there to get some drinks, not make my own, isn't that what a bartender is for and really now, how difficult is it to take a drink order, a GREY GOOSE and 7-Up with a slice of orange or if you have it, Orange Goose and 7-Up. So I ask if I can have a rocks glass rather than the iced tea glass and what happens, she walks away with the tall glass of ice and then brings back the same glass this time only half full of ice. WHAT! At this point I'm just happy I got a glass of ice at all and happy that she didn't bring back a glass full of rocks after I said can I have a rocks glass. Either this was one of my typical Murphy's Law days (they happen to me ALL OF THE TIME) or this chick was going out of her way to fuck with me, which I would giver her credit for because usually it's ME who's fucking with people. I smiled, ate my dinner and didn't say a fuckin' word, The Karma Banker and I have had some run-in's in the past and I didn't want to take out another big-ass loan on this one. HAHA! So now, I just expect to have shitty service there. Lesson learned! read more
