Super cute vibe whether it's for gno or date night!!! You have to make a reservation in advance because it is super busy. I had a reservation for the outdoor terrace but it was super windy bc it was going to thunderstorm soon so luckily I moved inside and was able to find a seat at the bar The electric lemon cheeseburger was SO GOOD!! It was perfectly medium and the addition of the horseradish aioli added the perfect kick. The fries were skinny and extra crispy, just the way I prefer my fries. I would come back in a heartbeat for this!!!!! The octopus was also really good but I wish it had a little more char to it. I liked that it was paired with hummus and Aleppo. The Aleppo oil had a super mild spice level I was mega disappointed with the roasted Japanese eggplant and I would not consider ordering this dish, if you are considering it. It lacks flavor. It tasted more steamed than roasted and the addition of the honey was kind of odd. The garlic yogurt didn't have much garlic flavor The cocktails were super yummy! Especially the espresso martini, order it with reposado!!!!
On an unseasonably warm spring day I was looking for a few things in this area of the city, and Electric Lemon checked off all of the boxes: + Outdoor rooftop + Water views + Spacious and not crowded or too much of a scene but also a good vibe + Walkable to MSG This was a great pick for all of the above and I'm so happy that I came! It's a vibey spot in Manhattan so drinks are very steep, as expected. A glass of wine or a draft beer will run you around $20. But, the views are beautiful and it's a really nice spot to post up when the weather is right.
The best place to celebrate New Year's Eve. From the minute we walked in, my friend and I were greeted to really friendly and attentive staff that immediately got our coats checked and settled to our table. Our waiter gave great recommendations for drinks so I got the big apple martini and in the cloud while my friend ordered an electric lemon martini and high line rouge. We both agreed the high line was the best out of the 4 for flavor alone. The sirloin was cooked perfectly with a lot of flavor and the potatoes went nicely with it. The potato flatbread and lemon spaghetti were alright, but didn't pack as much flavor as the tofu starter. Best dish we both loved was actually the carrots side because we couldn't get enough of the sauce. Ambiance was great with a little more high end and the views were everything. For sure coming back here!
Food was better than expected, but expectation was low after reading the reviews. Objectively speaking though, dinner was pretty good. The deviled crab was my favorite - super fresh and had great texture. The octopus was also good - the aleppo oil/sauce was an interesting touch. The sirloin was cooked perfectly, though a tad fat for my taste. The mushroom pasta was very disappointing... the ingredients just didn't come together. Could've been something creamy and saucy, but this wasn't it. The In the Cloud cocktail was so pretty and interesting, not to mention delicious - highly recommend! We sat outside in a rare warm evening, and the views and ambiance were great.
Came back for lunch a few times. The little gem salad with salmon is pretty good - I was happy the salmon was not overdone, but note on weekends, they cannot add a protein to your salad for some reason. The fries are also super good. Service continues to be atrocious - our water glasses were empty all day and we could never flag down a waiter.
What a wonderful experience. This has to be one of the best views in nyc. One of the best restaurants with a view and intricate architecture that features photo ops at every turn...making it a standout spot for both dining and taking in the scenery. Also perfect for those Instagram-worthy shots. It's definitely an influencer haven, but also a place where you can casually sip on a drink and soak in the vibes without any pressure. The dishes are on the pricier side but truly elegant in flavor and presentation. While I wouldn't necessarily return just for the food, I'd definitely come back for the drinks and the overall atmosphere. The first time I came here was for a Valentine's Day special 5 dining course in which I tried oysters for the first time, that had caviar on it. Very fancy indeed for my first time haha. But I did determine oysters still aren't my thing. Maybe only if I could have it as a delicacy like that again. Be mindful that securing a reservation can be tricky, especially depending on the time and day, but it's totally worth it for the elegant, bold environment that keeps you lingering a little longer than planned.
It's my go-to for rooftop season, great drinks, and beautiful views. The cocktail list is varied with boozy, sweet, and perfectly balanced options. Golden Hour is my favorite. Don't let the beets scare you, as the flavors come together in this smoky, slightly sweet way that just works. They have plenty of food options and, more importantly for me, plenty of vegetarian options. I have had the lemon spaghetti and the tofu, and I never leave without ordering the polenta fries. The lemon spaghetti is a good portion, cooked nicely in a light, creamy lemon sauce. The tofu is good when you mix all the sauces together, as the tofu itself is not seasoned but really comes together with the sauce and vegetables. The polenta fries are soft on the inside but lightly toasted on the outside, with great flavors and textures. Similar to the drinks, they are all solid options, but admittedly I come here mostly for the vibes. The service is consistently good as well. I need to make time to dine in.
Ambiance and service was phenomenal. The view was gorgeous and let's not forget the chicken decore. We got mimosas, expresso martini, breakfast sammies, burger and crab cakes. The only thing i cared for was the amazing burger that was seasoned well and their crispy double coated fries. It was simply dressed but delicious.
Brunch Option! Electric lemon was incredibly disappointing. Venue looks great, and decor is upscale dining. Known more for their Garden and dinner dining. They have a very small bar with a fireplace on the right side. First offense is the tea, it was extremely watered down and I suspected the teabag might have been reused because the pot wasn't that big. You can even tell from the picture it was watered down. Also it had a funky taste which could be the water they used. AVOID, $7 could be spent on anything else. Another issue is when I ordered the eggs benedict and ordered the smashed and fried fingerling potatoes. I don't have a picture of the side BUT the waiter did not bother to tell us the fingerlings were already included in the eggs benedict! We told them it was our first time too. You also get the same sauce that was incredibly bland. Just no flavor to the potatoes that felt like it was reheated. Eggs benedict was good but the wait staff was speed walking. Rushed to our table and the presentation of the eggs benedict was ruined. Would be fine if it was a diner but this isn't. Presentation of the food and the experience of a quality establishment were NOT here. The ONLY item worth getting was the pretzel bagel bomb, that was where I saw Electric Lemon shine. It was new, packed with flavor, and incredibly delicious. If you are here to try, get that at least. The benedict flavor was good but nothing special. Sandwich was really nothing special either. It was okay and I feel like you can get better. Issue is that you have to rate this place on a higher scale for what they want to offer / present. If it was a diner no problem, but it isn't. Will be going back to try the dinner, but personally was not really worth the hype. Let's see how dinner does.
The Electric Lemon lived up to its hype for me for both the food and the views. I was a little annoyed that they replaced the Jaume Plensa white sculpture with something else but in all fairness it is not their fault lol. My friend and I went for brunch. I ordered the burger which was pretty good but nothing out of the ordinary. The polenta fries complemented it well though. All in all, I would definitely return after the sculpture rotates back to something else :). read more

We came in during the weekend for dinner and were left extremely disappointed. 1. We found the table and the plates with bits of crumbs which we request to have replaced. The silverware that was replaced felt like it still had some old grease on it. 2. We started our meal with chilled oysters which we found very plain and lacking in fat and meat. There were sand on most of the oysters. 3. As our main dish we both ordered Filet Mignon and found it incredibly unsatisfactory. We found the meat to be very plain and rubberily. It lacked the taste and quality we expected from a place like this. Not worth the $55 price tag. 4. We found our silverware to be of poor quality, especially our really dull steak knife. While the ambiance and the views were pleasant I would NOT come back for dining and would not recommend this place to any of my friends and family. read more

I've been meaning to visit this place for a while since it has such a nice view and amazing outdoor terrace space. Reservations are a bit tough to make but make sure to book maybe 30 min before sunset and definitely do the outdoor terrace. Alternatively, book indoor but you can walk to the terrace for your photoshoot. The food and drinks were very lackluster however. There's only 6 cocktails and nothing fancy, your typical cocktails but just called something different. The appetizers were so small but so expensive. For this price you would expect a bit more honestly, or at least it should taste delicious. The polenta fries are these large log sticks which were decent but not really better than regular fries. The popsicles were actually more ice cream bars. Although the ones we got were covered pop rocks which was great! read more

I came on a Thursday night, approx 5:55 pm, and the crowd level was acceptable; enough people here to wonder what all the hype is all about but not enough to make you feel like you want to go somewhere else. I initially asked for a lounge seat but was informed that there was a wait, which was understandable. "Oh okay, I'll just sit at the bar" -Me; always alone but never lonely. I ordered the French 33, a gin and sparkling wine concoction that made me order another. It was great. The liquor wasn't cheap, and the buzz was nice. After working out at Equinox downstairs, I didn't want to dig too dip in calories on this solo date, so I ordered the cauliflower flatbread. "Interesting" "Is this barbecue sauce??" who knows? I was f***ing with it... pretty tasty. I ate the flatbread with my hands but finished with the fork, leaving no crumbs. Rating Five stars are rare but they didn't disappoint and I'm always disappointed, today I have nothing to complain about, and the place, in general, is immaculate. Enjoy yourself read more
Views and atmosphere are easily 5 star. Downside was they have a very small menu and when we looked at it nothing really stuck out other than the burger and it wasn't anything special. I feel like the menu is trying too hard. Like instead of just giving us some nice fries they had fries from polenta that just didn't go. The cocktails were good the service was very slow. 3.5 - Overall, a very good option in Hudson Yards, but I don't think I would go all the way to just eat here (unlike Ci Siamo, which I reviewed recently) - except maybe to have a drink on their terrace. Needed a last minute brunch spot to take out-of-town visitors. Hudson Yards works well to walk the High Line as well. Electric Lemon didn't have a reservation, but we were going early on a Saturday, so took a chance. Got there around 10:15 - said they could seat us if we were done by 12, which worked for us. As it turn out, many tables remained empty - so not sure why there were no reservations or such a show about accommodating us, but no harm no foul, I guess. It's a beautiful, modern space with great light from massive windows and a view over the city. It's on the 24th floor of the Equinox hotel - would suggest they add some signage on the street level as it was a bit hard to find. The food was quite good, even though it's mostly standard brunch-fare (which was all well prepared). We shared the seasonal donuts, which everyone loved and gobbled up before I thought to take a picture - sorry! It's more like a filled brioche donut. I had the grilled carrot bahn-mi, which was delicious and pretty unique with a seedy-crunch, pickle-y slaw and a kick of jalapeño. Also shared the smashed potatoes, which were better than most brunch potatos. Farm fresh "radical" greens on the side of most brunch sandwiches were also light and bright. I had the Mezcal Cleanse cocktail, which I enjoyed - just boozy enough and a bit juicy, perfect for brunch. Service was very nice and accommodating. And I found it relatively reasonably priced. read more

Gorgeous gorgeous restaurant in the Hudson yard. I don't understand the bad reviews but we had a great time. First of all the restaurant is modern and very tastefully done and the views are great. If you want to impress someone this is it. All the food were so delicious and drinks were also yummy..I have no complaints here and can't wait to go back for drinks at the outdoor patio. Solid five stars for me. read more

It was this past Monday night and we visited this restaurant as our last stop on our east coast vacation. We had a reservation and were sat right on time. The place is very classy and elegant. We didn't get greeted or acknowledged for over 20 minutes until my boyfriend went to the host stand to let someone know. A gentleman whose name I unfortunately forgot was fantastic. He was wearing a different outfit than the servers around us so we assumed he was the manager. He immediately apologized and reversed the situation. I am a restaurant manager and I know when someone is being genuine, which he was! If you know who I'm talking about, please make sure to praise him! The food was fantastic and we'll be back on our next trip. read more

A nice ambiance with super high ceiling restaurant on the 24th fl atop the Equinox Hotel in Hudson Yards. Great view of The vessel by the window at the bar area. Dining room is bright and airy. Very friendly staffs. I went with my friends for lunch and food was pretty good. We had Beef Tartare, Chicken Bone Broth, Roasted Japanese Eggplant and Grilled Calamari for appetizers. The eggplant was really tasty! For main course, we ordered Electric Lemon Cheeseburger, Warm Shrimp Salad, Lemon Pappardelle and Pasture Raised Chicken. Everything was good, and the pappardelle was absolutely delicious. We finished off our wonderful lunch with nicely decorated Tiramisu and a rich Chocolate Tahin. read more
Trendy hotel resto to impress your date or out of town friends/coworkers. Located high up in the Equinox Hotel, this place has a nice view of the Vessel and has interesting drinks/food/desserts and a modern, design-y aesthetic. We walked in for desserts and found seats at the bar/lounge area. Chocolate moon rocks was interesting, tastes exactly like how it sounds. Mexican hot chocolate was just ok, not particularly memorable - even if it came with butter beer ice cream, which just tastes like the Universal Studios drink in ice cream form. Did I mention it's in the Equinox Hotel, which means you'll see people in dressy clothes but also feel perfectly at ease in your gym/athleisure attire. I'll be back to try the signature Electric Lemon dessert which interestingly comes with homemade pop rocks. read more

Beautiful views and beautiful elegant decor. I did expect the rooftop to be a bit bigger as it appeared so in photos. However, the service was great and the staff was very attentive. We went for brunch and I kept it light with smoked salmon and everything bagel with a side of potatoes. I liked everything I had, the potatoes were my favorite. My husband enjoyed the burger but said after some time the horseradish sauce was too overwhelming. The frozen Palomas were strong! read more

WOW WOW! This was one of the most spectacular dinners I've ever had! Everything was absolutely outstanding from the restaurant atmosphere, to the service, to the impeccable food! Nothing like dinner with a view in Hudson Yards! My favorite of the entire meal was the roasted Japanese eggplant, tied with the dry aged duck! Mind blowing! Also, do not skip dessert! Great views, nice atmosphere but that's about it. Looking down from the restaurant, you get a great view of the vessel. The front staff were very friendly but the service of the actual food was horrible. We ordered oysters which they pour liquid nitrogen table side but the guy that brought over the food, it felt like I was at Denny's. He comes over and tells us to move out of the way and dumps the liquid nitrogen and walks off. I was astounded. I ordered the dumplings which they pour broth on and no explanations just pours the broth and leaves. I definitely won't be coming back here. read more

The outdoor terrace would be a really nice place to gather with friends for a relaxing drink but it's feel like a wind tunnel on a really windy day and you won't get to enjoy the outdoor seating in that case. The food selection on the lunch menu was really limited. However, the burger I ordered was excellent. All and all, it's a nice place to enjoy some good company and drinks. read more

Another girls' brunch! We were on the roof so the view was cool but... food was pretty ehh. Service was also mediocre; the waiter didn't seem to know the menu well and couldn't really give recommendations. The beet parfait was very overrated, while the other dishes were just ok and sort of bland. Rooftop was quite windy the day we went which wasn't necessarily anyone's fault, but the outdoor heaters were either not working properly or extremely weak so we sort of just sat there and took the cold. Not counting that against them but just fyi for anyone who plans to go in the future. 4/10 for the food, wouldn't recommend if you're looking for a tasty brunch. But could go for just the views and the pics! read more

Cool place to see the vessel from the top! Nice spot to hang out on a nice day. Call ahead to reserve before coming! Avocado toast and eggs benedict are good options for brunch. I didn't try the burger my friend got, but Polenta Fries are skippable, they weren't that good. You can get a good picture of the vessel by the restroom window (passing the elevator and stairs inside). read more
Tonight was my first trip to Hudson Yards and my first meal at the Equinox Hotel was spectacular. Didn't have a reservation but a group of us walked in and were accommodated at the outdoor lounge area. It was so beautiful and comfortable outside - everything and everyone was glistening as the sun was setting. We wanted to dine here but alas it was quite windy and we ended up moving inside. Since we didn't have reservations, the staff was kind enough to help arrange seating for us at the lounge indoors by the bar. Even though we sat in the lounge with low seating, the staff was attentive and tried their best to make us comfortable and enjoy our dining experience. We ordered a bunch of dishes Crispy Polenta Fries - great starter, favorite for the whole party. Potato Flatbread (grilled flowering broccoli, sheep's milk cheese and garden herbs) - second best snack Duck Dumplings (slow cooked duck, lemon verbena scented apples, turnips and bone broth) - these were small dumplings, nicely proportioned between meat and rice paper, but the flavor was a little too subtle for me The requisite veggie dishes from the salad and side sections of the menu. Badger Flame Beet and Stone Fruit Salad with grated Dunbarton blue and black urfa chili Purple Cherokee Tomato Salad with marinated cherries, currants and anise hyssop Wild Hive Grain Mix with wild mushrooms Norwich Meadows Cow Peas with Japanese cauliflower and sheep's milk cheese The salads were quite refreshing but the side dishes left a bit more to be desired For the larger dishes, we got a variety: Chickpea Pasta with sungold tomatoes, blistered shishito peppers and basil - delicious, probably our favorite main Grilled Berkshire Pork with roasted corn, husk cherries and lemon verbena Pasture-Raised Chicken with peach salad, fava beans and purslane 44 Farms 14 oz. Prime Ribeye with chimichurri, tomato salad Summer Squash with lemon basil, avocado squash and pine nut crumble Basically all the savory dishes were tasty with the exception of the sides, which were not bad but not as outstanding as the other dishes and didn't seem to really complement any of the meat dishes that already came with its own more flavorful sides. As for dessert, couldn't make up our mind so we got one of everything but the Watermelon Semifreddo and we have no regrets Electric Lemon Curd with lemon verbena, pop rocks and lemon balm sorbet Frozen Yogurt with juiced green herbs and lovage meringue Strawberry & Cream with strawberry meringue, spring valley cream cheese mousse and nasturtium (Gluten Free) Chocolate Moon Rock with black sesame crunch, honeycomb and goat's milk ice cream The chocolate was the favorite followed by the the strawberry & cream. The others very light and refreshing. The lemon curd was especially electric with the pop rocks. Overall it's a beautiful space inside, outside, and around. Makes a great venue for a celebratory occasion. Although I preferred some dishes over other, I enjoyed being there and eating everything. read more

I absolutely loved the Electric Lemon! The first time I came by I went to the bar with my dad for drinks. He ordered a beer, and I ordered a bloody mary. The drink was amazing. I ordered so many bloody marys from here with olives, lemon, and jalapeños. Every time I had breakfast here, I ordered avocado toast with ranch pork bacon and one of the hand-squeezed juices. Their coffee was really good too. I also ordered a cheeseburger with gluten-free bread. Unfortunately, they didn't have gluten-free french fries, which is unusual, but I had a nice side salad to go with it. I had dinner at the Electric Lemon once and it was really good. I had the steak tartare, the brussel sprouts, and six of their oysters. Everything was really really good. The one thing that I would say about the oysters was that they were really small. A little too small, but they were still good and I was very happy with all of my experiences. read more

Such a great date spot! I highly recommend reserving outdoor seating during sunset. Indoor seating is great too since its glass walls all around. Food was surprisingly really good. I had low expectations coming in because it seemed like the place people come for the vibes rather than the food. I highly recommend getting the Japanese eggplant - it was my favorite! Duck and chicken were also great. We got two rounds of the Spicy Sunset, one of my favorite cocktails I've had. Service here was amazing too! read more

Being that I'm a fan of Starr restaurants, I've been looking forward to trying out Electric Lemon for a while now. The wife's birthday came around and I figured it was the perfect opportunity. Let's start off that it's located inside the Equinox hotel which is right next to the vessel so safe to say there is no parking close by for those who drive. You have to go to the parking lot which is 1 block away and take an elevator up then walk through the mall and then walk across to the building. There's also the option of shelling out $80 bucks to park directly in front the hotel which depending on your pockets, may be worth it. The restaurant itself is beautiful and depending on where you are seated, there is a view of the vessel which is beautiful at night. Staff was super attentive and nice. I had a whisky sour which was honestly one of the best I ever had, the wife is pregnant so she had a Shirley temple which she said was horrible but I guess you don't come to a place like this for a Shirley temple. For apps she started with a salad, I had some oysters which were good. The entrees were the steak and my wife had pasta. Now the food is where I feel this restaurant lacks identity. The steak and pasta were equally bland and came in small portions. All in all the restaurant is nice but menu and kitchen needs a revamp. I will revisit EL in the summer time to see if the outdoor experience makes a difference. read more

My friend booked a 5pm reservation on a Sunday for a table of 4 on their outdoor terrace. If you are coming to take nice pictures definitely book an outdoor table. As it gets closer to sunset, there are lines to take pictures. Take the elevator up to the 24th floor of the Equinox Hotel in Hudson Yards. They do check your vaccination cards upon arrival. Food and drinks were a little pricey in my opinion for the portion sizes. We each got a drink and they were all pretty to look at. They only had paper straws though. We ordered a few dishes to share. I tried the the potato flatbread, polenta fries, leek dumplings. I liked the flavors but wished there were more sauces to all the dishes. The texture for these dishes were all on the mushier side. My friends also ordered the dry aged duck which they seemed to like. We also ordered the grand mocha and caramel apple tart for dessert. If you like coffee and chocolate then the grand mocha will be up your alley. For the caramel tart, everything tasted good except for the apple. It had too strong of a ginger taste for us. Their service could also be better in my opinion. Our drinks were cleared away when we went to take some pictures without any warning. My friend's spoon was cleared away when we were still eating dessert. A waiter was clearing a plate from our table and wanted to takw my friend's empty plate however the rest of the group was still eating. I just felt rushed and we stayed for around 1.5 to 2 hours which seemed like an average amount of time. Come early if you want to take nice pictures. Definitely make a reservation. Get your pictures before it gets too dark. We didn't really see a nice sunset even though it wasn't cloudy. read more

Ok to start off, this place is located in the 24th floor of Equinox. The address is 33 hudson yards, right opposite to 30 hudson yards which is where all the shops are. When you find Equinox go to revolving door in the middle of the building, not to the left corner. If you do end up in the left corner of the building, the extremely tall doorman will direct to the middle. I'm just giving you directions incase you end up like me lost and hungry I came here for brunch and had the warm.black bean crepe, it was different and delicious. The avocado and cilantro have it a tangy taste and the eggs made the crepe soft. I also had coffee here which was good. Our waitress was sweet and attentive. Another person in our table got an iced latte which was white in color, and she told me it tasted like milk and there was no coffee but she didnt mention to the waitress. The waitress however noticed it and she came over and asked her if she could get her another latte because she felt like her glass didnt look right. That was really sweet and good service! Our waitress didnt add the latte to the bill either. Apart from the service and unique food options, the ambience and the view is lovely. read more

I wouldn't think so, I think the tough reservation is the rooftop in the summer.

Do they allow xtra people at your table on the terrace after making a reservation for a table of 5?
No, I don't believe so. If you're looking to be seated and served, you need to have the entire party there present and can't have extra people.
Is there a spending limit on terrace for table of 5?
When I went there (party of 2) nobody mentioned a spending limit for me. I specifically asked for a table on the terrace at the time I made a reservation.
Is the terrace opened yet?
No they are renovating and during the winter the winds are too strong at such a high floor

How do we make a reservation for two for outdoor terrace dining? The only options I see in Resy are dining room and lounge? Does the latter mean indoor or outdoor lounge?
You have to be ready to book at 11am when the reservations open a month in advance, they're usually gone in the first 30 mins
What is the best place to sit when having dinner for two people?

Just drinks are available at the bar for walkins. However the restaurant takes reservations for the bar tables and outdoor lounge areas.
What is the difference between lounge and dining room when making a dinner reservation? We want to be able to see the view while we eat.
Indoor lounge features couches and other low seating with coffee tables, while the Dining room has a standard table and chairs setup. Both have views of the lower Manhattan skyline. (Only the terrace has views of the Hudson.)
