I like the interior of this restaurant. The white tablecloths makes this feel like a fine dining experience. There is winding staircase to the upstairs tables. The bar is very long and I think they have a great variety of liquor. It is a little cramped at the bar when getting out of the bar stools but manageable. When you order a drink at the bar they give you a steak slider. It was so tender and tasty. We also ordered the 1/2 pound burger and steak tartar. Way too much food especially with the slider everything was really good. Next time I would just order a salad. The drinks were good and they have a great assortment of liquor. 2nd time in last night and although I was impressed the first time, this one blew me away. Think this place really hitting their stride after opening not that long ago. As you come through front door of Elliott's, your eyes drawn to the huge bar on the left that has 5-6 levels of bottle shelving all lite up. Just sets a real cool vibe. If you think of it, request upstairs table which allows you to take in the whole view of the bar and main floor while you dine. There are also a few tables just out in front of the restaurant (5-6) if you care to dine al fresco, although this is a busy stretch of sidewalk in downtown Chandler, so it's not going to be the kind of intimate dining you'll get inside. The menu is not extensive, but it is Elliott's Steakhouse, so that's what dominates. Several cuts of dry-aged beef to choose from and a bevy of speciality sauce toppings if that's to your liking. There are also some special entrees, such as a blue cheese topped filet available if you want to take the effort out of choosing ala carte. That's direction I went last night. Only choice I had to make was how big I wanted my filet (5 or 10 oz) and the temperature. My dining partner opted for the Surf and Turf which is a massive 24 oz bone-in ribeye and lobster tail. Beautiful. But I don't want to get ahead of myself. I could come in here and make a lovely meal of just the appetizers. Wow. Last night we sampled the bacon wrapped lobster medallions and the braised beef stuffed pasta shells. Then on to delish French Onion soup prepared in the classic way, while we sampled a couple wines from the extensive and well-rounded wine menu. I've been disappointed recently with some big name steakhouses who consistently under-cook the beef, breaking up the flow of the meal for the table as it has to be taken back to the kitchen for finishing. NOT AT ELLIOTTS!!! Our server asked a few really insightful questions about how we wanted our beef cooked, and the kitchen delivered spot on. Impressive. We didn't partake in desserts, but they look oh so good. Just finished with a couple of well made espresso's. Parking is easy in this corner of downtown Chandler. There are a couple of large, free multi-level garages within a block. Service was outstanding. Very knowledgeable staff and the food was paced out perfectly for a relaxed dining evening. Don't think anything could have been improved last night. Expect to drop $200 pp with drinks, appy's, entrees and tip. Well worth it imho. read more

This is a top tier experience, and even though I showed up underdressed, which is not ok FYI, the staff didn't blink and eye and treated me as if I walked in in a Versace suit. I will never do discredit to this establishment again by undressing because it simply too classy. Dress appropriately. The staff were immediately responsive. We went to Elliott's last night with another couple for a combined birthday celebration. The first impression was very favorable with subdued lighting, great atmosphere, and the impressive bar, as others have noted. Our server was attentive, patient, and did a great job for us, explaining the menu and making suggestions. Among the four of us, we had Caesar salad, ribeyes and filets, truffle mac n' cheese, and butter -whipped potatoes. The birthday mousse desserts were comped and much appreciated, and the olive cake was enjoyable. My only complaint is that the kitchen was very aggressive with the use of salt, something all four of us commented on. Now, I'm not a saltaphobic, but this was over the top and spoiled an otherwise excellent dinner. Probably some of the most bland food I've ever had at a steak house. Started with an Order of half dozen oysters, they were small so I'm assuming they gave us a 7th to make up for it, but half of them had meat inside the half shell about the size of my finger nail. Tasty nonetheless. For our sides we got the butter whipped potatoes and the truffle Mac n cheese, but with the truffle component on the side. Both items were incredibly bland and needed salt and pepper. The bread crumbs on the Mac n cheese tasted stale. For our main we ordered the wagyu ribeye; while cooked appropriately, the flavor on the outside reminded me of the flame broiled flavor you might find on a Burger King burger. It very much overpowered the natural flavors of the cut. As for timing, we had a couple seated next to us about 15-20 min after us and they got all of their food way before we even got our starter oysters. Ambiance is nice enough, if you want to escape the crazy amounts of noise, ask to be seated up stairs. I haven't been motivated to write a yelp review for years, but this prompted me to get back on to share our experience. While they didn't get anything inherently wrong, there wasn't much that was "right" This feedback was all given to the manager at the time, but seeing as this restaurant got great reviews and that's what we used to base our decision off of I wanted to leave my two cents to be considered by others. This may be my new special occasion restaurant. The service was fantastic from the young man(20 ish) that assisted and our server Cameron. The food was outstanding--we enjoyed the 3 butter pat option--one rosemary infused, one hickory smoked I think /and yummy sour dough type bread to the lobster medallion starter to the perfect fillet with best truffled mushrooms. The other sides, grilled asparagus and au gratin potatoes deserve an honorable mention. OMG their movie ticket dessert with customized decadent movie ticket chocolate bar and caramel popcorn. marshmallow fluff and dolce de leche gelato on top of a yummy gluten free brownie. Our waiter was wonderful and the wine was fabulous but other than that it was not worth the $350 bill. Our steaks were bland with no flavor. Mine originally came out so burnt (ordered medium) that you could smell it when they put it down. My second one came out cooked better but again no flavor. The Au Gratin potatoes tastes like cardboard. The French fries were good but I shouldn't have to say that was the only good thing from a premium steakhouse. We won't be going back. What a wonderful spot!! We absolutely love coming here for dinner and the service is always spectacular. We usually order the seabass and my spouse gets the venison which he swears is cooked perfectly every time (venison is pretty difficult to get perfect) and we enjoy the carrot cake for dessert! The managers stop by every table and check on the experience which I thought was a nice touch! We love the ambiance and how the place is neatly decorated with a unique piano in the corner for live music on the weekends. If I could give Elliott's 10 stars, I absolutely would! From the moment we walked in and shared that we were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary, Elliott's made us feel welcomed and celebrated. First, they gifted us a champagne toast to kick off our meal, which seriously touched my heart. Our waiter, Mitch, was kind, warm and a phenomenal host, talking us through dishes and recommendations, eventually guiding me back to my initial choice of Chilean sea bass and boy, am I so glad he did! From the lobster bisque my husband started with to my sea bass, the layered, fresh seafood flavors melted in our mouthes and we honestly didn't miss ordering steak at all. Came here for my husband and I's anniversary dinner. I made a reservation ahead and got there maybe like 10-15 mins early and they sat us right away. They served us complimentary bread to start it off and two types of bread with three types of spreads. We ordered a bottle of red wine and truffle agnolotti for appetizer. The truffle agnolotti had lemon flavored filling. This was not stated in their menu description. If I had known this I wouldn't have ordered it because I dislike all lemon flavored food. But I didn't say anything because I just assumed I misread the menu or something. But for our dessert, we got the Elliott crème brûlée and this was also lemon flavored! But the dessert menu doesn't say that... I wish they would be more descriptive with their menu or something because I wouldn't have ordered this either. Loved all things Elliott's! The ambiance, service, food, and staff communication skills were excellent. Restaurant had ample natural lighting when first sitting down for dinner. As the night slowly progressed overhead lighting turned on and steadily brightened as our courses came out. There was a small candle light looking gadget on the table as well for visuals. Plenty of lighting to see and take pictures of the food Service was on point. Not too overbearing but the waiter was there when we needed any refills, table wiped down, and to order the next course. Had some recommendations as well when asked for guidance on menu and drinks. Food - apps were a dozen on the half shell. The oysters were quite salty/briney but were warned of that beforehand. Still the oysters were dime sized at best. Could just have been that week's catch. Lobster bisque was freshly prepared and tangy as it should be. Mains were Salmon on polenta and a 6 oz filet with asparagus. Both were delicious but the filet maybe a tad bit dry. The restaurant brought us complimentary olive oil cake which was phenomenal as well. It was pretty sweet and we didn't have much of a sweet tooth (or appetite) left at the end of the meal. So they brought us a half order only which was perfect for us. The staff welcomed us by names, congratulated us on our anniversary, and were kind enough to take pics of us. I've been twice and loved each experience. Service is amazing, everyone is very polite. It's got an upscale but moody feel. Perfect place for a special occasion or even just stopping by to grab one of the signature cocktails. Ill grab an Old Fashioned, thank you very much. The seafood tower is AMAZING, wonderful offering of shellfish and seafood and if you aren't a big eater, plenty of delicious leftovers to be had. Highly recommend sitting upstairs for a wonderful view of the beautiful bar. Our server made some amazing recommendations for drinks and he was very attentive. Everything came out perfectly timed, our waters were always full, and every employee we interacted with seemed genuinely happy to have us there. Food: For appetizers we tried the oysters (both east and west coast available), lobster bites and bacon wrapped scallops. All were amazing. For sides we tried the corn with zucchini, mashed potatoes and asparagus. The asparagus was great, the other two we wouldn't order again. Last night my husband surprised me with our anniversary dinner at Elliott's. I've been following this business on Instagram since they opened and I was thrilled when we walked up to the front and he stopped us at their entrance. First of all, let's talk about the atmosphere...LOVE! Probably one of the best I've visited in at least a year. I'm big on atmosphere so this is always a factor in my reviews. We sat at the bar for a drink before our reservation time and then we were moved to a booth. I love the candlelight, the white tablecloths, the lighting and the furnishings. Service was fabulous. My only complaint would be we felt a little rushed to order the main entree (we did a 4 course meal on this night) when we really just wanted to take our time and savor each dish. Drinks...I enjoyed 2 espresso martinis! I'm into these, these days, and they make a good one. Appetizer: PROSCIUTTO-WRAPPED LOBSTER MEDALLIONS $34 Yum! Salad: WEDGE $16 We split this and it was the perfect amount. Loved this. Entree: BLEU CHEESE-CRUSTED FILET* $50 The steak was delicious and prepared properly to the temp I ordered. I was slightly disappointed in the blue cheese crust. It seemed slightly 'floury' to me. Next time I will order the filet a la carte. Side: BUTTER-WHIPPED POTATOES $12 So delicious! If I was being super picky my only 'gripe' would be these seemed a little too runny. However, we ate these until there was no trace left in the dish so take those words with a grain of salt! Dessert: THE MOVIE TICKET $12 This was delicious! Needless to say, we were sufficiently stuffed by this time but we both really enjoyed the flourless brownie and the gelato. The presentation on this was top notch with the chocolate 'movie ticket' set in the dessert. This is an homage to the building, itself, which was a theater back in the 1920s. We are not coming back. Quite a few days ago we came in and were so turned off by the bartender. This woman seems to be protected. I have no idea what's going on, but she had the worst attitude. She had a man behind the bar with her that seems like he was a manager, but definitely not Elliot's wearing an inappropriate polo and just standing there babying her anytime we asked for anything She was awful. The drinks tasted terrible. It's possibly one of the worst dirty martinis I've ever had my wife and I and our kids have worked in the industry we try not to complain, but this woman seems to be bionic. I finally talked to a mid-level redhead manager, who gave me her name. If you walk in Elliots and Stephanie is working. I advise you to turn around and walk right out. read more

My wife and I both enjoy a good steak and a nice bottle of wine. Elliots had a great selection of both and also a great bourbon list. Unfortunately my wagu steak came out murdered charred and overdone when I ordered it rare plus. It had heavy char lines (not a sear), burned smokey char lines from the grill and it just tastes like bad smoke from the fat flaring up over the flames. I states that it was over charred, overdone and just tasted like smoke. The waiter said that it was the style they cook and a matter of opinion. I still done see any mention on the website that steaks come out styled charred and smokey... I disagree with taking an expensive cut of meat and treating it that way. Char and bark has a place on low and slow cheap cut of meat like a brisket but not on wagu steak. My wife got a new York and it was also over charred the same way. We sent that back and they redid it on a the flat iron but it still wasn't great. To me it tasted like the flavor of the flat iron got into that steak. Perhaps a pan on the grill would have worked better but I wouldnt do the flat iron option again... Grilling a steak over and open flame grill can be excellent. We have had some of the best steaks of our lives cooked with that method in Argentina and Italy this just wasn't that. Both steaks were poorly cooked. The vegetables and sides were very good and in our opinion better than most competing steak houses. It is a shame that either they char the steaks to the point where that was the dominate flavor. They waited did comp us an appetizer and cooked a new steak for my wife but it was still a disappointment. read more

I'm honestly shocked the reviews we saw prior to making our reservation weren't raving 5 stars reviews based on our experience!
