Elliott's has been on my list for over a year. I've only heard great things, and walking past the joint definitely makes it feel exclusive with upscale food. Elliott's is located in downtown Chandler. It has an open floor plan with modern decor. Our first impression was made at the bar while waiting for a table. They don't have a mocktail menu, however, when I asked for one,the bartender was happy to come up with something for me. I simply had to provide some of the flavor profiles I like and, with a little magic, he was able to provide me with a well-balanced drink. Our second impression, was the service. Our server was personable and passionate about the food. We loved her. Because the place had been highly recommended, we decided to go big with yummy leftovers if necessary. The shrimp cocktail was eh. Definitely had better. The tartare was salty and not enjoyable (definitely not balanced). And there was like maybe one fourth of a cup of tartare served with a loaf of bread. The bread was way too much. I originally wanted to order the ribeye, but they use truffle oil and I didn't want my tastebuds to be overwhelmed. I'm a big fan of red meats like bison and venison and so was super happy to see that they offered venison. The venison was a little chewy, which I could live with, but the sage was so overpowering! It was disappointing. The lobster was good. The mushrooms were good for a couple bites before the truffle oil got me. The filet was cooked as ordered, but wasn't seasoned well. There is always a little bite to au gratin potatoes and I expect it, but the potatoes were underdone and not enjoyable. The mac and cheese was good. It was my favorite side dish of the ones we ordered. I loved the olive oil cake. I'm not a fan of chocolate, so I didn't touch the bark, but the cake and berries were delicious. My partner was not a fan of the carrot cake. The cake was dry with far too much frosting. I wanted this experience to be great, in fact, I expected to be, but overall it was just okay. Phew. This place is handful, where do i start!! We reached there 10 mins before our scheduled time and were seated at the bar.. first off the ambience in one word - Classic. Everything you want to find in steakhouse - Elliott's provides. The chairs, the live piano, the drinks, the crowd - very chic, very sophisticated, very old fashioned. Might i say, I asked the for the popular - it was the smoked old fashioned! We didn't try it as was in a mood for little adventure with drinks today, so went for their second best seller - Director's cut from their Signature cocktails. The name just has a ring to it! If you like tropical, if you like mezcal, if you like Smokey, look no further. We ordered the non alcoholic version of paper plane called "no flight" - if you're not in the mood for alcohol, special shout out to Samantha- she makes a mean "no fly zone"! A beautiful pink drink. Do try it, do ask for her to make it!! Also tried the Gin cocktails - it's a Friday, you can have more than 2-3 drinks, give yourselves a break!! - the Gin cocktail made by Samantha - Aviation, with a special twist and "the last word" with a cherry liquor. Absolute perfection!! Moving over to Date night, we got an excellent seating upstairs, which had special leather couch and a perfect view of the lights and bar.. Collin our server was perfect!!! He started off with - oysters which were perfect! Don't go for the champagne oysters with caviar, have them separate.. The mains were -pepporcini crusted ribeye and the star was the foie gras with filet mignon, perfection....! This was accompanied with the truffle mac and cheese which was so delicately seasoned with cheese with so many flavours, and truffle mushrooms! Overall it was a perfect date night at a perfect place! You used to be one of my favorite restaurants in Chandler. I always appreciated that you offered a Happy Hour seven days a week, and I've visited many times--both casually for Happy Hour and for a more formal dining experience with reservations in the dining room. I was excited to introduce my daughter to your Happy Hour and thought Mother's Day would be the perfect opportunity. We got dressed up and came in expecting the experience I've enjoyed so many times before, only to find out that Happy Hour was NOT being offered. This was extremely disappointing, especially since there was no prior indication. Had I known, I would have made a reservation for the dining room instead of planning around Happy Hour. Instead, I ended up with a $500 bar bill for an experience I hadn't intended. What made this worse was the feeling that this change was simply to capitalize on a holiday, another restaurant more concerned with making themselves richer, rather than prioritize loyal customers. It completely changed my perception of your restaurant. Unfortunately, what was meant to be a special Mother's Day experience turned into a frustrating one--and it's left me questioning whether I'll return. read more

This was for a friend's birthday dinner. The bar area is AMAZING, live music (piano). He even played the Happy Birthday song as she was walking in! I loved the dim lighting and how the bar is set up, super classy and clean. We were sat upstairs and our waiter was very prompt and knowledgeable. Definitely sold me on, Samantha's cocktail! Haha! It was a blueberry gin, creamy and delicious! Their male manager also checked in on us from time to time and I thought that was nice. My reasoning for taking off a star is because my steak was 80% fat and lacked flavor. I split a medium ribeye 16oz with bone marrow butter. My boyfriend said his half was super salty, which I found interesting because I didn't think my half was... I did not mention this because I was a guest for a birthday dinner. Everything else was delicious. Mashed potatoes, runny consistency, but yummy! Mac and cheese was a HUGE favorite. Caesar salad was plated well and was yummy! The highlights: * Caesar salad: 10/10 -- one of the best I've had * Burrata salad: 8/10 -- very good The rest was underwhelming: * Jidori chicken (my wife): 5/10 * Hickory-rubbed NY strip (mine): 2/10 -- underseasoned and the meat was tough and chewy. * Truffle mac and cheese: 7/10 -- Good! * Mashed potatoes: 6/10 -- pretty basic. They tasted a little like instant potatos * Asparagus: 5/10 -- crunchy, nothing special * Bread: 2/10 -- very dry. I can't speak in detail for the other couple's dishes, but we were all in agreement that the overall meal was disappointing and doubtful of ever returning. Elliott's is officially one of my top steakhouse picks! This spot is truly a hidden gem. The bar area is absolutely stunning, with its rounded arches creating such a warm and elegant vibe. We kicked off the evening with pre-dinner drinks--dirty martini, espresso martini, plus a great selection of spirits and wines--all perfectly crafted. The ambiance was elevated by a live piano player who performed throughout the night, which added such a classy and enjoyable touch. Now for the food: the table bread came with a unique selection of butters--definitely something different and fun. We started with West Coast oysters and a Caesar salad (one is definitely big enough to share). For sides, we tried the mushrooms, asparagus, and potatoes--all delicious. Our steaks were cooked to perfection, and added the lobster tail, which was absolutely worth it. Service was attentive and smooth all night. My wife and I went last night for our anniversary. We were looking for a fancy experience, and Elliott's did not disappoint. The ambience was very upscale; most of the patrons were dressed up, and they even had a piano in the corner for live music (although we ate there early so we didn't get to see it). The music on the speaker system was quiet enough that we didn't have trouble hearing each other either. The service was incredible! Our server, Kay, took amazing care of us, explained all about their specialties and even gave us some recommendations. She offered a champagne toast to us for our anniversary too, which is not something we generally experience when we go out. Our food came promptly and our glasses were always full. Speaking of the food, it was some of the best we've ever had. My wife and I each got steak (she got a sirloin and I had the NY strip), and they were both phenomenal. We also shared a bowl of lobster mac & cheese (this was admittedly the reason we wanted to go), and it was some of the best mac & cheese I've ever tried anywhere, not even factoring in how delicious the lobster was. Kay was also kind enough to inform us that the sides are served family style, which is why we only ordered the one side. It was definitely big enough for both of us. There was also bread and three kinds of butter, all of which were incredible. The food is admittedly not cheap, but we went in understanding that, and for a special occasion, the food we tried was worth every penny. We will absolutely be going back again. read more

Man I was SO hyped for this place. The ambiance is amazing, the waiting staff is SUPER friendly and helpful, but the thing that just made it not really worth it.....was that the chefs are TERRIFIED or ALERGIC to using seasoning. Everything was SO bland! The soup, the appetizer, and the steak were all missing the same exact thing. Salt & Pepper! They also don't put any on the tables either. When I pay $95 for a ribeye steak, I want it to be seasoned properly, and there was very clearly NO seasoning on any of our steaks. We went for a fun family occasion, so I just kept my mouth shut and enjoyed my steak, but then my entire family (table of 10) ALL said the same thing. Really disappointed. read more

I gave Elliotts 3 stars based on the quality of the service - which was everything you expect from a premium steakhouse. What wasn't premium was the steak I had - Sonoran Ribeye. I always order premium steaks medium rare. The steak I was served was very rare and very difficult to cut and almost impossible to chew. I sent it back to have them cook it a bit more thinking that was what would turn it into the premium steak it should have been - it didn't. It was still very hard to cut and very hard to chew. The attention to detail from this restaurant is amazing! I was looking for a more upscale restaurant to celebrate my husband's birthday. I'm going to assume that reservations are recommended, we went on a Saturday night and they were pretty busy. The hostess and server acknowledged my husband's birthday, which I found sweet. We were seated upstairs that overlooked the bottom of the restaurant. It provided a nice ambience alongside the live piano player. The food was top notch! The complimentary bread came with three different butters! I went with their salmon entree and my husband ordered the blue cheese crusted filet. To compliment the meal we ordered their truffle Mac and cheese and potato au gratin. The server was very knowledgeable about the menu and even sent us home with a complimentary birthday dessert. Had a wonderful experience at Elliott's steakhouse. Our server Peter, as well as all the staff, was very attentive and picked a wonderful wine selection when we asked for a recommendation. My husband had a fillet with scallops and I enjoyed the rack of lamb. Both were cooked to perfection. Overall the atmosphere just made for a great date night. Weird to focus on I know, but I also really appreciated that the table for two was actually quite spacious. I feel like a lot of times tables for two are tiny and you struggle for room. We visited this weekend and managed to find seats at the bar to escape the foie gras protesters outside. (Pro tip: if you're sensitive to that sort of thing, call ahead and ask for seating upstairs or by the kitchen.) Unfortunately, guests near the windows were treated to giant protester TVs flashing very graphic images -- definitely a vibe-killer for anyone trying to enjoy a romantic evening. Once inside though, the mood shifted. The bartenders were quick, attentive, and on point. There was a live pianist playing fantastic covers that set the tone perfectly. The lighting was dim and romantic, and the interior design? Stunning -- chic, cozy, and just upscale enough to feel like a special night out. Now for the martini: perfection. It arrived ice-cold with those beautiful little shards of thin ice on top (you know the kind). And -- yes, they do have blue cheese olives, which immediately earns extra points in my book. My husband and I shared the 16 oz porcini-crusted ribeye with mashed potatoes and the caviar. It was the perfect amount of food. The steak had a rich, savory sear, and the thickness of the cut stood up well to the buttery beurre blanc. The brown beech mushrooms were earthy, tender, and seasoned like someone in the kitchen really cared. We were unsure about the agnolotti perched atop the steak -- but wow. The pasta was delicate, the filling flavorful, and I found myself dragging each piece through the plate's luxurious sauces, building what I like to call a "perfect bite" situation. The caviar dish was equally thoughtful -- the champagne foam was airy and light, balancing the richness of the roe while still letting the oyster flavor peek through at the end. Refreshing and indulgent. The mashed potatoes were simple, un-fussy, and wonderfully smooth -- no gluey or over-whipped nonsense here. So why not five stars? Well... here's where it got weird. That stunning bar? It's tall and dramatic, with a Beauty and the Beast-style rolling ladder to reach the top shelves. Gorgeous touch. But we watched one of the bartenders walk along the actual bar with her work shoes on -- retrieving bottles, dragging bar floor gunk across the marble surface. No towel down, no wipe after, just... strollin'. We saw multiple other employees later place drinkware, books, and trays right where her shoes had been. It was... not ideal, especially at a place where dinner for two easily hits $250+. That moment pulled the curtain back a bit, and not in a good way. Up until then, Elliott's had completely won us over bite after bite. But for a place that nails so many details, seeing basic cleanliness compromised -- especially in such a visible, centerpiece part of the restaurant -- was disappointing. Definitely our favorite place as a couple! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warmth and friendliness. They start you off with water of your choice and fresh bread paired with a trio of flavored butters--our favorite is the mesquite-infused, absolutely delicious. The salads are crisp and fresh, and the homemade dressings are outstanding. The steaks? Always seasoned beautifully and cooked to perfection. We've tried every cut on the menu and loved them all. I will start off by saying I loved this place and my wife and I had gone to Elliot's probably 15 times in the last year. We have noticed through the last few times that the quality of service has dropped. We have been forgotten about, had to ask for common things that are normally already served and or provided without question. Finished plates sat at the table for a long time when normally they are right on top of it and the water is filled quickly. Tonight in particular we sat at our table for over 25 minutes with no one greeting us after being seated. Again being forgotten about. Had to ask for the bread and after we mentioned that we had been waiting, the servers and the managers made it a point to not come to our table. The managers normally go around to every table once you have received your food to check in on you as we know from our several previous experiences but this time they checked on every table besides ours. I am not one to ask for a discount or a free meal but if something needs to be brought up I say it. As if the service is outstanding I am the first to Yelp about it and share the great experience. I am disappointed in the restaurant as the food is outstanding but the service has killed the vibe and this time being my birthday I was hoping for better after our last few times the service not being the best. read more

Everything about the night was outstanding. 5 of us celebrated 2 birthdays with appetizers, champagne and cocktails, dinner, sides and desert. We had a full sampling of the menu and loved all of it! So much attention to details.Ula was phenomenal. Paul also went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of. If you are looking for an elevated experience that is personalized, go here. First, i noted my sisters soy allergy in the reservation and upon arriving they not only wished my husband happy birthday but our waitress had already briefed the chef on her allergy and was extremely educated in what she could or couldn't have, and what they could custom make. 11/10 service the whole meal as well. For starters we did the scallops and the reason they aren't pictured is because we devoured them. Best scallops we have ever had. Huge, juicy, flavorful, wow. We then also had the lobster bisque which was played super uniquely and tasted delightful. For main entrees the boys got filets 10 oz with the brandy peppercorn sauce that they raved about!! Must get the sauce. Us girls each got the sea bass over a bed of rissoto and it was again, the best sea bass I've ever had. Totally blew my expectations. Creamy, flavorful, absolutely perfection in each bite. Portions were all really healthy sizes as well. Drinks were all great, and as if we hadn't already had a blast they brought a movie ticket dessert for my husbands birthday - flourless brownie with gelato and even though our belly's were so full we ate every bite! I haven't had a steak since I was 6 years old and have been craving them lately so my boyfriend took me here as a treat. I wish I could offer a good review but the only good thing we got was the truffle Mac and cheese. The steak was so charred that you couldn't taste anything but that. Same with the asparagus. I broke a 30 year red meat fast with a piece of charcoal. Every burp for hours after we left tasted of straight charcoal. I'm not sure I like steak enough to try it ever again after that. When we brought it up to the wait staff we were told that's just how medium rare steak is. We know that isn't true since my boyfriend visits steak houses all over the country since he loves it. Ended up leaving steak on the plate to get tossed and left bummed and ignored by the wait staff. I'm hoping it was just a bad steak but after spending well over $100 we will never be back. 3.5/5 - I've been wanting to check out Elliott's for a while and am glad I finally had the chance! Overall it was pretty good. The appetizers were fantastic. The scallops were sizable and cooked perfectly, probably some of the best I've had in a while. Also liked the combination with the pork belly. We also really liked the foie gras (we liked the foie gras itself a lot, probably could've done without the added duck confit or the sauce). We also loved the potatoes au gratin. However, both our steaks (NY strip and filet) were mediocre. My boyfriend's medium was more rare than my medium rare and I just don't think we thought the steaks were super flavorful or anything to rave about. Given that this is a steakhouse, this is the reason for the 3.5 stars, despite everything else being very good. Really liked the restaurant aesthetic (love the bar along the wall and it's definitely a more romantic date night setting) and the wait staff was all very professional, nice and attentive. Pardon me but... Damn. This place brings back the style and feel of a classic steakhouse. We had a larger party than most and the service couldn't have been better. From Stefan, to Kevin, to the hostesses... we felt like we had known these people for years. Now for the food... I had the filet with mashed potatoes and a few other sides. Cooked perfectly. We had selected a couple wines with the help of their servers. The other guests had ordered a code variety of the menu and couldn't stop raving about their experience. This is a great place to check out if you're looking for a nice dinner restaurant in the downtown Chandler area. I was really impressed when I first arrived at the restaurant. It's definitely cool and had great ambience. I really enjoyed looking at their spirit wall by the bar, but the drinks are okay, unfortunately. I ordered the filet, Oscar style. The presentation was beautiful. The filet was cooked well and the sauce that was on the plate really complemented the filet. My only complaint about the dish would be the lobster claw. It looked great on top of the filet, but it was really difficult eating that piece. I ended up not touching it because I didn't want to make a mess by trying to crack the lobster claw with my fork. I did not want to give this place a three, because the service is great, the ambience is great, and the quality of the food ingredients is great. Unfortunately, I would give Elliott's a 3 for flavor profile... Especially at those prices. My rare filet was overcooked. The seasoning was good, but nothing unique. They decided to try a different twist on the lobster bisque, and it ended up tasting like butternut squash soup. Too much nutmeg or coconut. It completely lost the buttery and smooth flavor of lobster, which is the point. The side dishes were the stand out. They were the best part of the meal. Finally, parking in downtown Chandler is not ideal. That's not the fault of the restaurant, but it does bear mentioning. read more

A cute steakhouse at Chandler downtown. I love the ambiance and the bar!! The space is intimate. I was very happy the menu offers seared Foie Gras and venison tenderloin of course I had to get both! They were both cooked perfectly! The Foie Gra was so creamy melted in my mouth with the contrast of the crispy duck, it was a complex bite! The venison was cooked to perfectly rare to my liking. It was so tender even though it is a very lean wild game meat. The bill was not cheap but quality of food was good!
