Menu: The menu here covers all of your basic fish and chip items. They have fish, shrimp, scallops, and chicken as their main items. The prices are very reasonable, and the portions are large and very filling. Taste : Today I ordered the Fried Chicken, Jumbo Shrimp, Fish, and Onion rings. The chicken was regular fried chicken still on the bone. I was expecting chicken strips, so I wasn't as excited about this. The shrimp was definitely jumbo. I don't remember the last time I saw a shrimp that large. The piece of fish I received was also very large. Overall the taste was good. I'm not a big fan of fish, but the fish and the shrimp didn't have that 'fishy' taste, which was good. The chicken tasted like any fried chicken you would get at a supermarket. The problem was that everything tasted the same. The batter was very good, but after a few bites you almost got sick of it. I would have liked the shrimp to have a different taste from the fish. The onion rings were by far my favorite. Just looking at them I knew they were going to be good. They were flavorful, crunchy, and still moist inside. Location: This is a tiny store in the corner of a little shopping center. Look for the 7-11 and it's in that same center. The store itself was clean and spacious enough for several people to sit as well as for people to stand and wait for their order to cook. Nice little place. Not that bestest but it's a good amount of food for the price. I didn't even touch the chicken. Came by for a quick lunch with my friend after unpacking into my new place. I think the employees/owners are a family. Asian? Dunno. They're really nice. I got the combo that came with fried fish, two pieces of chicken(they're not like tenders nor Wingstop kind of wings), and fries. They were pretty good! I love fried food soo yeah haha I'll be back. Place had a couple dirty tables while we were there unfortunately, but I don't think it's their fault cause people legit eat and then leave the mess behind. Little place with big fish n chips. I don't care for their version of tarter sauce but I bring my own but 90% of the time I take it home. You can feed the whole family for $22 with a family meal. Get a Orange Bang for the ride home with your food. I have never gotten a soggy or bad piece of fish here. Caution it is always freshly fried so its hot as hell, if you eat it in the dining room you will burn your mouth if you don't let it cool off. Hidden gem on the corner of Willow St & Pacific Ave. The fish & chips are very filling since the portion size they give you is not what you'd expect for the small price paid. The batter they use is delicious. In addition to the fish and chips, they have fried zucchini, onion rings, shrimp, etc...They're the business on the corner of a small parking lot next to the 7/11 so parking is slightly difficult and there is not much room inside (only 4 tables for guests). I'm amused it's called 'England', although it didn't quite feel English. You can definitely tell this place has been here for a super long time. Fish cannot be beat here. I have been coming here for several years. The fish is flaky and you know from the consistently good quality the owners pay attention to the details. Only comment I would like to make is that they don't have ranch available for the fried zucchini. If they did, it would be an "A+". The zucchini did not taste right with the tartar sauce. The portion for this side order is generous though. Not to fault its quality: it was so good, I would be willing to buy ranch next door at the 7-11. The establishment is clean (and thankfully air cooled in the summertime). Quality is spot on. Not a well kept secret locally, allow some time especially during peak hours. CASH only. All food is deep fried Very good fish - large pieces. Hot and tasty. Batter tasted good but since I'm limiting deep fried I easily removed the outer batter. Scallops were terrific too (again easily removed the outer batter). Shrimp was OK but I preferred the fish and scallops. Chips were ok too. this is a wonderful little mom and pop hole in the wall to get some good cod n chips! it is a bit oilier than my regular fish & chips place (probably because they bring it out so fast after cooking it) but if you're worried about the grease then why are you still reading this? you know everything and i mean EVERYTHING at these places is FRIED right? well, maybe they should start frying the coleslaw too. if you're worried about the wait, this is the FASTEST fish & chips place i've ever been to, so be prepared to get your order soon after you put it in! i ordered a Combo A which was 1 piece chicken and 1 piece fish with chips. and i ordered a 1 piece shrimp too. they gave me an extra piece of chicken :) but the chicken was nothing special. the fish was good and the shrimp was hidden somewhere in the batter, but still good. i'm used to thick chips with my cod, so the thin McD's-esque fries were meh. on the bright side, my order came with 3 bottles of sauce - ketchup, tartar, and cocktail. their cocktail sauce is one of the better ones i've tasted if you're into that. it went well with the shrimp. overall great value for the price and super fast service! p.s. - they have Orange Bang! yessssss!! read more
