They got all our orders correct and didn't leave any items out. I love the choices of side dishes they offer at this korean bbq spot. It was a great variety and we even got seconds! I thought the meat amount on the combo we chose was perfect for the four of us. It filled us up and we didn't end up with any leftovers. The meat tasted fresh and not frozen. We also love the sauce dishes they offer that goes really well with the meat. We ordered a few appetizers: cheese corn & garlic wings. The corn was okay, it's literally canned corn with cheese. No seasoning etc. I probably wouldn't order it again. The garlic chicken wings however were AMAZING! It was perfectly crispy with a slight sweetness and garlicky goodness! It was finger-licking good! This my second visit to the place. I visited the place by accident shortly they opened the business. We were on our way to Orting to ride bikes and when there was a traffic jam on 405, we decided to take the next exit and remembered this place. How clever is the name called "Exit5 Korean BBQ" ? The restaurant name is such a smart move and those who have seen, heard or been to the place will always remember its name. We were sure glad to take the exit to enjoy the Korean BBQ. We were debating if ordering a set for a party or 2-3 might be too big but the server suggested otherwise. The set came with very generous side dishes (AKA Banchan in Korean) as seen in the picture. I personally felt that some of banchans were a bit sweeter than my preference. Also, we had a choice between Deun Jang or Kimchee Jjigae. I chose the former and it was pretty good. The mixed BBQ came with various port and beef cuts. The traditional Korean BBQ is done on the dinner table. You get to cook your own meat right on the table. How cool is that? While we were cooking the owner came by to chat with us. He was very proud of the restaurant and how the place has become popular. He said it is not unusual to wait for an hour even more on weekends. He would love to chit chat with his customers but given he just moved from Korea last year, there is a language barrier. I told him his patrons would be just happy to him stopping by the table and say hi. We ordered grilled intestine, spicy rice cake and seafood pancake. It was not good at All. The grilled intestines were too chewy, rice cake was not flavorful and the seafood pancake Had very little seafood. We paid $75 for all this and was disappointed. The food was amazing, and surprisingly affordable. Absolutely worth a trip. They continually brought extra sides (bean sprouts, kimchi, cucumbers, etc) without us even asking, which I really loved. The staff was always quick to switch out our grill pan when it got too grimy, usually because there was too much food stuck to it. The resturant itself was lively and clean. OK one of the best kbbq places we've found here in Seattle. It had some of the best banchan, good diversity in meat cuts, good quality, and good flavors. Partner only likes the chicken and we got the spicy chicken and it was so tender, well flavored, better than any other place we've gone. We also got the beef mix and the brisket was shaved really really thin and the short ribs were nice and firm. We also ordered the sweet and spicy wings and it was a nice appetizer. Our waitress was super nice and friendly. I loved her energy despite her aggressiveness to help us cook . I also love that they have a cart of the banchan and just go around refilling. LOCATION: RIGHT ACROSS FROM MOVIE THEATER Took us a while to find this place because the map shows it at another location (not part of this review, just a tip) For starters, this restaurant should've been bustling on a Saturday night considering it's new and right in front of the cinema and located in The Landing but... Prices were pretty steep for kbbq and they don't have an AYCE menu, which most places around here do. However, this place provides high quality meats that you cannot find included in your AYCE kbbq. We ordered small portions of the beef combo and the pork combo ($144 total for both). Each small combo is stated to be for 2 people so we figured since we had a couple kids, getting 2 small portions would be just enough but we struggled to finish everything!! Every cut of meat was fresh and each combo is a pretty good size. The dinner was definitely worth the money. Banchan alone was delicious and their kimchi...OMG THEIR KIMCHI IS SO GOOD!! Their kimchi was by far the best kimchi I've had at almost any Korean restaurant. It was well seasoned, spicy (too spicy for most people) and was very popular with our table. The white radish was also a favorite of ours, and they'll refill the banchan generously. Service on the other hand, was terrible. They seem to have at least 10 servers on the floor yet most were standing around on their phones or talking to each other. Most of the servers were all young and didn't seem to care, which was why the manager kept yelling at them to do things and to actually serve people. Our server came to greet us once, ask if we were ready and when we asked for a couple minutes, he never came back. I had to ask for water 3 times before getting more water and I had to order items from multiple servers since the first one would forget. We had a large party so they charged gratuity (18%) which we were fine with, but I wouldn't be surprised if their service was a reason people weren't coming back...or in. It's our first time at this place. The dining area is spacious, table benches with BBQ grills fill up this huge hall which reminded me of a school cafeteria. Menu items showcase their house specialty is Korean BBQ, featuring different cuts of beef, pork and chicken. There are traditional korean dishes too, such as soups, noodles, pancakes, and rice dishes, etc. We ordered two dishes to share , their lunch box with grilled marinated beef which comes with kim chi, green salad, fried mando, potato salad and rice. The side dishes were mediocore, but the kimchi was good. Grilled beef came in good portion, seasoning is rather heavy with sugar. The buckwheat noodle in cold soup was very chewy, broth was a light sweet sour taste, garnished with thin slices of pickled radish and cucumber, half a boiled egg and a piece of medium size beef brisket, which was rather tough and bland in taste. The cold soup was very refreshing and soothing since the outdoor temperature was 90 degrees. Service is friendly and prompt, ambiance is rustic and relaxing. Came by on their soft opening and it was great. Service was impeccable and the decor was inviting and unique. A projector showing movies against a brick wall and some faux store fronts. This is a great addition to the Landing. Was a limited menu for their soft opening it has all the mainstays like bulgogi and kalbi and pork belly. The meat quality was fresh and marinades didn't overpower the meats. I do wish they had some more banchan options but it was their soft opening so maybe more to come. This was a spot my husband picked out on a spontaneous evening! I am sooo proud of him because I always pick the spots to eat. It wasn't too busy and we went late on a Monday - they close at 11 and we were traveling from out of town so it worked out awesome. We have also never experienced Korean BBQ and let't just say we had a blast. Our server was not as engaging and attentive as we are but Jung was incredible. He came over and walked us through everything we needed to do and showed us how to use the grill. It is truly an experience. We ordered the marinated combo and there was SO MUCH food! The Korean side dishes are where it's at for sure. The side dishes were all so tasty and there was so much that every bite got to be different. My favorite sides were the broccoli and the sprouts. We grilled bulgogi chicken, bulgogi beef, pork belly and some veggies and everything was soooo flavorful. The space itself is a large open warehouse lookin space with super cute aesthetics. One star for location--this is conveniently located in the Renton Landing, so there's plenty of parking available. One star for the food we received. To elaborate, I placed an order for japchae and two soondubus....we received the japchae and one soondubu. I wasn't sure if the second order of soondubu would follow so I waited. When it didn't follow, I continued to wait....for 20 minutes before the waitress returned. At that point, I was so annoyed and didn't want to prolong the dinner so I didn't mention that my order had been forgotten (or maybe not heard because the music was fairly loud in here). The japchae was cooked well and was flavorful. It ended up being more than enough to eat as just an entree along with the variety of sides that were provided. The one soondubu that we received was SPICY. We didn't specify how spicy we wanted it to be but for those who don't like any heat to your food, be warned. I noticed that people who ordered BBQ seemed to receive more attentive service than we did, so maybe that's the only way to hold a waiter/waitress's attention. I've been searching for a closer alternative for Korean food than Edmonds or Federal Way and unless their service changes drastically, this place isn't worth the price. Had some friends visiting and Tacoma doesn't have great KBBQ so we drove 45 mins to Renton for this spot and it was well worth it. It was really busy, expected for a Saturday night, so the wait was about 30 mins for a party of 4. It's on the pricier side but the quality of the meats are much better than other places and service was exceptional. We ordered a large mix combo (beef & pork) and at first we thought it wouldn't be enough for all of us because we're so used to AYCE, but it was actually perfect. The banchans were delicious too, kimchi and fish cake were my faves. I just wish the bean sprouts were mixed with sesame oil bc it was bland. The yogurt soju was tasty and the bottle was enough for two rounds of shots for everyone. We also got kimchi stew w beef intestines and it was amazing. My husband doesn't even like kimchi much but he enjoyed it. The servers were very attentive, every time one of them passed our table they would help with cooking/cutting the meat, clearing dishes or getting more sides and drinks. If you have a big group over 5, I really recommend the cheese chicken stir fry!!! Its so good and filling. The food is really good. The servers are accommodating and constantly refill your water. Seafood pancake - highly recommend, came fresh out the kitchen and had the perfect amount of spice to give it a slight kick. Texture was perfectly soft and chewy. Mackerel - This didn't stand out as much to me as some parts might have been just a tad undercooked for my taste. What definitely set this place apart though was its service. The servers were all very attentive, frequently checking in for banchan (side dish) refills, and even coming by to help cook the meat. It was my first time coming to this new establishment, being walking distance from where I was staying at, it was an easy choice to come to The Landing. I love the decor and feel of the restaurant. Tables are huge for BBQing your food. I went in for lunch and opted ordering. May, our waitress, was super friendly and helpful with our choices. We ended up getting the short kalbi ribs, tofu soup, chicken bulgolgi, beef stew and hot pan bibimbap. They were all delicious! Our meal came with rice and several sides; sweet marinated potatoes, spicy bean curd, bean sprouts, steamed leafy greens, and kimchi. Great KBBQ spot for the price, food quality, and service! The restaurant is located in Renton Landing which has a free parking garage and other stores and amenities, which makes waiting for meals here not the worst. They DO NOT take reservations and the wait for dinner time can get a bit long, especially on weekends, but the longest I've ever had to wait was probably an hour max on a weekend evening. They'll usually call you once your seat is ready so you can go shopping in the area (Ulta, Ross, Target), get some bubble tea next door, or even see a movie. Once we reviewed the menu, we ordered the seafood pancake and the sweet chili fried chicken. We decided to also order a small marinated bbq combo. I had hot tea and my friends had coke. It was FAST! 8 Banchan came out and they looked good. From bean sprouts to salad, to fish cake, to kimchi to mashed potato. (very tasty and can get up to 2 or 3 refills, i forgot what she told me. Extra rice is $1 extra.) We had a bowl of rice and the combo came with a soup. Got 2 sauces...one more soy sauce, the other a salt and sesame oil mix....my fav! The meat came out and our waiter June started prepping the grill, the put some meat on the grill. Over the whole meal, we had several waiters/waitresses come thru to check the meat that was being grilled. Its been a long time since ive had this pristine customer service. Super cool vibe. Got the beef and pork mixed combo, meat was of okay quality, not the best but maybe a little better than some of the low quality options (like Palace). I thought the marinated pork shoulder was so tough it was nearly inedible. Pork belly was thick and pretty fatty. I loved the brisket and wish it came with more of that. Ended up being $89 after tax and tip for only two people. It was barely enough food for two people, other AYCE places offer better value. Service was actually pretty good. Overall, I don't think I can justify paying these prices here. Maybe I would avoid the pork and just go for the beef combo. read more

While we are ordering, the waiter has already placed the ordered to the kitchen. Within minutes, 6 people's food is already coming and start grilling. If you are hungry, I would say this is the place to get food fast. Assuming no lines. :) Throughout the dinner, we have several waiters checked with us to make sure the settings in the grill is right and the meat is not overcooked. They also checked often to refill our side dishes. They people really push hard to get to going fast. In some cases, I felt a little pushy. But definitely is not intentional from them. As far as the food taste is not anything too special It is definitely a place to hangout with your friends. Service is great. Something to pay attention if you are 4 or more. So this place used to be a THE place to go in Renton for Korean BBQ. Quality went down tremendously since covid happened or something else it was really giving me a sour taste in my month. Quality of meat went from A to C grade And 20% mandatory 5 person gratuity is weird when u grill the whole thing myself and the waiter didn't even check on us until the bill was due. What a service! The highlight of dinning experience was when my server took the entire order of brisket and dumped in my grill and walked away... didn't see him once after that. My meat was on fire and half of them was black. I still don't understand why he did what he did and he never came back so I couldn't even ask. I'm not a meat expert of any sort so I can't elaborate on just exactly how good their meats are but I gotta say that the thin brisket was just what I needed this night that I craved Korean bbq!! I love their side dishes and their dipping sauces. This spot has all my fave (pickled radish, kimchi cucumber, potato salad, sesame oil and salt) and to me nothing was lacking. But oh boy the SERVICE here was fantastic. I've been eating kbbq my whole life (in California) and I've never received this much attention on my meal lol.
