Enjoyed a nice lunch with my husband as we were passing through on a road trip. This was right off the exit so it was very convenient. There weren't many people dining so it was no wait to sit down. Our waiter Brandon was great! He was friendly and polite. I had the spare ribs, fries, Mac n cheese, and corn muffin. My husband had the 3 meat platter with brisket, pulled pork, and chicken. I would recommend this place a nice barbecue meal.

Very easy access off I-40 at Cedar Bluff, you need to turn onto the side street at the traffic light. Then turn right into the business park they are located in. Drive straight until the traffic lane ends, then turn right into the parking lot. They have a good amount of parking with several handicapped spaces. The entrance door is facing Cedar Bluff so if you use a handicapped space you have a little walk to the door. You enter through two sets of doors into a foyer. There is a small bar directly ahead. The hostess station is on the immediate right and the counter to pick up to go orders is on the left. There are only a couple seats for waiting. Our hostess was pleasant and said the wait would be about 20 minutes since they were short staffed. We only had to wait about 10 minutes, and our server came up to take our drink orders almost as soon as we were seated. Our drinks came quickly and we placed our order. The burnt ends came out in about 10 minutes. They were more like cut cubes of meat with little charring. I would have preferred more of a burnt surface, but the meat was tender and the portion plentiful. Hard to complain too much. The brisket and pulled pork combo was good. The brisket was nicely smoked and very tender and moist. The pork was very soft, almost mushy. The flavor was excellent but the texture was hard to get used to. I did eat it all, however. The cornbread muffin was good, as was the potato salad. The beans were fine but nothing special. The chicken and ribs combo was very good. The ribs were fall off the bone tender and the chicken had a mild smoke flavor with excellent taste. The mac and cheese was fine. The banana pudding was pretty good. Even though we were told they were short staffed, it did not impact our dining experience. We both had leftovers which turned into an excellent lunch the next day. Famous Dave's provided a solid meal for a good price.

Sat there for more than 15 minutes with no service no water nobody came by to ask us if we needed anything very annoying. Asked to speak with the manager, even spoke with her, and she really didn't seem to. Not busy. Only five cars in the parking lot. Famous Dave's is usually one of our favorites restaurants. The ones in Washington state are great. We were really looking forward to burnt ends. Too bad this particular one was such a disappointment.

If you ask anyone from Texas what their top choice of barbecue meat is, it will always be the unanimous answer, "brisket"!!! While Famous Dave's has a lot going for it, the brisket was a let down. It's almost like going to a good Mexican restaurant with really bad chips and salsa... It just taints the experience. The serving staff was great! And if you go, ask for Tay's section! The food quality was overall good but not great. The ambience does a good job of putting you in a rural barbecue joint while being in the middle of West Knoxville! I would never steer anyone away from Famous Dave's, but if asked for excellent barbecue, unfortunately; they may have to make their way down to Memphis.

Standard, basic BBQ. Portion size on the pulled pork was good. Gave lots of meat. Came on a Tuesday and there was lunch special from 11-4. $8 for the pulled pork and a side. Much more worth it than paying a full $11. Ribs are decent. Not the best BBQ but would do if you craved it.

I always judge a BBQ place by their burnt ends, if they get those right, everything else usually follows. Well, Dead End BBQ absolutely nailed it. The burnt ends here are everything you want them to be: perfectly smoky, just the right amount of sweet, and melt-in-your-mouth tender. They tell the whole story of the pitmaster's craft in a single bite. I also tried the smoked bologna, and one bite took me straight back to my adolescence, rich, savory, and with that nostalgic flavor only real wood smoke can give. The Pimento Mac & Cheese was another standout: creamy, cheesy, and with that subtle pimento tang that keeps you going back for "just one more forkful." My daughter went for the brisket, and she raved about how juicy and flavorful it was, with just the right amount of bark. We both appreciated the variety of BBQ sauces available, each bringing its own personality to the table, sweet, tangy, spicy, you can mix and match to your heart's content. Service was friendly and laid-back, and the atmosphere felt like a true BBQ joint should: warm, casual, and a place you want to linger. After last night I'm not sure if we will ever return. We were seated outside at a table that was right in front of the in and out doors. We waited almost 15 minutes before someone came to wait on this. Honestly this would have been longer if my husband hadn't gone in to ask about a server for our table. Mind you, there were plenty of servers walking to help the other tables around us as we were waiting. Finally a server walked up, her name started with an A, and she was very flippant with helping us. I ordered a beer and my husband ordered water and son ordered a soda. We also went on and ordered since we had no idea when she would return for our order. She brought the water and soda but no beer and then we didn't see her (at our table) until our food came out. My beer came out with the food, a good 10 minutes after I ordered it. I know you may be thinking that the bar was backed up but her other table (that arrived after) got their drinks right away and also a 2nd order of drinks before I received my beer. She never came to check on us with our food and spent more time at the table that arrived with her friends. Her attitude and personality was vastly different with our table versus her friend's table. When it came time to get us our check. I saw her roll her eyes and walked towards us. I let it slide instead of calling her out on her actions as I just wanted to leave. We paid our check and left. I truly feel like this will be our last time here because of the service we received. We have many friends who travel to Knoxville for various sporting events (since I'm in that industry) and I always recommend Stock and Barrel. After last night, I'll be recommending some other place.

The sides are about the only reason this has two stars instead of one. The mac and cheese is tasty and well made. The beans are good. I especially want to try the pork belly bites, but those are only on Fridays. I ordered the most popular dish, the gomer. I asked what the freshest meat was because the reviews varied. Many stated that there was a lot of dry meats, others report tender and perfect. My suggestion if you don't want to be disappointed is to ask what is the freshest for that moment in time. Pork was it today and it was delicious. I think next time I would rather get the meat plate as all the sides piled onto the pork was a bit over the top for me. I wanted to taste each item they have separately, but it was challenging being piled together. But that is what I get for picking the popular item and not what I think I would enjoy more. Gomer was $12. I see the cost has gone from $10, then $11 and now $12. I would not be willing to pay more than $12 but I understand the cost of food has gone up. Curious why the nacho is $16. If I understand correctly it is just the gomer with chips and cheese. I don't think that is worth $4 more. Maybe the quantity is more too??? Overall, I am happy with my first trip to Lloyd's and looking forward to pork belly bites in my future.
