cacao one and it was really bitter haha. I ended up getting the Pistachio one bc it was a safe bet haha. I did enjoy how creamy and soft the ice cream was, but I wish the pistachio flavor could have been more pronounced. I feel like the taste was very lackluster, very subtle. I did enjoy the bits of pistachio in it, but it didn't really taste like much to me tbh. I enjoyed the consistency of it tho! Bf's sister got the jujuberry since she is lacstose, and she said it was refreshing. She said it tasted like blueberries since we weren't quite sure what jujuberry was haha. Service was nice, friendly. Patient with their customers when sampling ice cream.

Tried some flavors and ended up getting 1) lotus biscoff - kinda too sweet but you'll like if you enjoy biscoff cookies 2) antep pistachio - this is a must get! So good All are hand crafted and creamy. We got the $9.95 for 2 scoops.

First time visiting FILO Desert in Downtown Orange, and we're so glad we stopped by! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The shop has such a cool vibe -- it almost felt like a charming two-story ice cream spot with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming. We were told she runs the whole shop by herself, and you can truly see how hardworking and passionate she is about what she does. She happily let us try several flavors, and every single one was excellent. The star of the night for us was definitely the Nila Banana ice cream -- absolutely delicious and full of flavor! Their Kunafe paired with ice cream was also next level and such a unique, tasty combination. Everything we tried was amazing, and the experience made it even better. Highly recommend this spot to anyone in the area looking for great desserts and ice cream. We'll definitely be coming back!

The staff were so patient and friendly. They helped explain the menu and gave us samples of ice cream. They recommended the strawberry cheesecake ice cream and the pistachio/almond cheesecake ice cream and let me do a split scoop because I couldn't decide between the two since they were so delish! The other flavors were very interesting and good too. My family liked the banana because it was real rather than artificial banana flavor. The ice cream was rich and creamy, not icy and not overly sweet either. We also enjoyed the crispy kanafeh and rice pudding which was super creamy and thick and had a nice floral flavor to it. The chamomile and vanilla latte were also great. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They had a cozy corner with comfy bench seating that was perfect to hang out in plus ample space upstairs too.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There is parking in the back lot that is free but limited and pay for spot parking on the streets.

I love the ice cream at Filo and have wanted to try their knafeh since the first time we visited. After lunch today we walked over and got one to share. We had never had knafeh before, and weren't sure exactly what to expect since it's a cheesy dessert. We were VERY impressed and will come back for it again! It's a crispy, flakey dough, with a mild, somewhat salty, stringy cheese inside, covered with simple syrup and pistachios. LOVED IT. Since we were pretty full from lunch, we only ate half and took the rest home. The guy who helped us said to reheat it in the oven for a few minutes. I think we will be doing that tonight after dinner. This has become my go-to spot for Mediterranean desserts. Parking is conveniently located behind the building. Having lived in the Middle East for over five years, I sometimes really miss authentic flavors--and I'm so grateful to have found this place. The shop itself is small, but there's a second-floor seating area that offers a bit more space. I usually come for their homemade ice cream or their Knafooza--a crispy kunefe topped with your choice of ice cream. You can choose whether or not to have syrup on the kunefe, and extra syrup is available at the table if you want a little more sweetness. The staff are always incredibly friendly and hospitable, which makes the experience even better. Highly recommended if you're in the area!

My wife introduced me to this fantastic dessert spot in Downtown Orange, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. We ordered the Knafooza and the Boozalava with pistachio ice cream to share, and both were exceptional. The standout for us was the Knafooza. The kunafa was served warm, perfectly soft and gooey, with a balanced sweetness that didn't overpower the dish. The pistachio ice cream was smooth, rich, and subtly sweet -- a perfect complement that elevated every bite. The combination of warm pastry and cold, creamy ice cream was spot on. Service was attentive and friendly, and there was plenty of seating, making it easy to relax and enjoy our desserts without feeling rushed. Everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully crafted. It was indulgent without being heavy, and we're already looking forward to coming back to explore more of the menu.

I was actually blown away by the dessert here. As soon as you walk in and see the display case you can see the thought and intention that was put in to showcase their desserts and the delicacy of it. I ordered a boozlava and it was the perfect size for sharing between two people. To me it was a twist on a traditional baklava. The top was a thin crisp layer of filo pastry topped with pistachios. The entire dessert was crispy, creamy, nutty and delicious. The lady working was also really kind. She let us sample the different ice cream flavors, which are all great by the way. Couldn't recommend this place enough.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Great variety of ice cream flavors in a space decorated with Turkish tiles.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were there when it was relatively empty, so the person working was really patient in letting us try out flavors. The crunchy baklava ice cream was delicious. While the ice cream flavor itself was plain, the baklava throughout added that extra bit of sweetness and texture that made it so good.

Kind staff, owner seems to be very hands on and available at the location. Good third space for the community with upstairs seating area providing tables, outlets and a study bar area overlooking the front entrance. We tried the knafeh and had two scoops of ice cream each. I like the kunefe nut there was a horrible smell inside like they had a sewer issue. Upstairs was very hot not air flow at all and there were lots of boxes next to our table which didn't look very pleasant. Probably will go back and order a to go. read more

Yall they haven't even had a grand opening yet and im obsessed. Coffee and desserts are my favorite things. Found them on tiktok and came cuz they are down and street from me. Thank god for tiktok cuz the visuals alone sold me. But when I actually came in, amazing. The staff was so lovely, I got a scoop of juju berry and a scoop of mango icecream. Best mango icecream I've had. Tasted more like a lemon mango which was delish. The knafeh was lovely, both savory and sweet which is right up my alley. A great way to end the evening. Honestly so glad there's a place like this in orange circle it'll be nice to end the day with a baklava everytime I go here now ahaha The pastries here are 10/10 That baklava is perfectly crispy and tasty The ice cream I wasn't too much of a fan of but just because I was struggling to taste the flavors of the baklava lava flavor and Istanbul coffee flavor Not sure about the rest I'd say go try out this spot for yourself as it is extremely beautiful inside The design of this spot is just wow All the workers were super nice and attentive too Will definitely make this a go to spot! read more

It feels a bit unfair to write this review based off of one small ice cream item, so please keep that in mind when reviewing my stars. My friend and I fully intended to come here and try multiple items, but we were so full from lunch that we went with something small. I'm definitely wanting to go back and try other things and update my review accordingly. Let me start by saying the service for us was great. They were very nice. We got our items quickly, and we enjoyed sitting in the upstairs area. So, ice cream is one of my favorite "foods" (in quotes because it's a dessert and not the most nourishing but delicious), and generally coffee ice creams are my absolute favorite. I really like Turkish coffee as well, so when I sampled the Turkish coffee ice cream I expected to love it, but I didn't like it. I like coffee ice creams that have a very strong coffee flavor, and I wasn't getting that from this ice cream. It also may just be that the ice creams were more icy and less creamy than what i'm used to, so the coffee flavor didn't really "pop". I decided to try the lemon mint, and that's what I ended up getting. It was very light and refreshing. I really enjoyed it. It was more of a sorbet texture than an 'ice cream', and I thought it was wonderful. Would definitely recommend. read more

Ambiance is aesthetically pleasing. Staff is top notch friendly and helpful. Came here for some ice cream. Got half Istanbul coffee & Lotus Biscoff booza scoops for a dollar more. My husband got the Antep pistachio booza. Their scoops are huge and the ice cream, so rich, flavorful and delicious! Glad we tried out this spot. Absolutely loved the pistachio knafooza at Filo. Perfectly crispy on the outside, rich and gooey on the inside, and loaded with real pistachio flavor--not overly sweet, just beautifully balanced. A very nice little dessert and cafe at the Orange Circle. This place has some nice and rare flavors of ice cream like baklava, biscoff lotus, lemon mint and many more. Along with that their desserts are something that you just have to try along with their drinks. I'm a big fan of Karak tea, and here they have it with caramel and saffron as well. Karak tea is a milk tea with spices or cardamom. I just wished they had glasses or a nice cup instead of serving them in paper cups. I had tried their pistachio and biscoff ice cream and also had to try the Knaffe (Arabic dessert served warmed with a cheese filling). I enjoyed all of the sweets and specially the Knaffe more than the ice cream. The saffron karak tea was very nice and I would definitely get that again. They have a nice little seating area upstairs. The place is decorated very nicely and gives you a nice ambiance and vibe along with their good service. read more

Goodness, this place is such a treat! My wife and I were walking around the circle and found this place. The people working were the absolute sweetest. We met Moe, the owner, and he was so welcoming. We tried a few things: lemon mint ice cream and baklava ice cream. We also tried the baklava. I've never experienced the flavors I did with the ice cream and I was not disappointed at all. We'll absolutely be back to this gem. Orange is already full of great places but definitely add this to your list when visiting! read more

I very rarely give reviews, but after my first visit to Filo, I felt the immediate need to come on here. First time in the area and saw the good reviews so decided to pop in and try some desserts. Right off the bat we were greeted by the very friendly and welcoming staff who gave us suggestions on what we should try before making our decision. I got the Lemon Bar (50 cents extra), Cinnamon Apple Filled, and New York Cheesecake (50 cents extra) totaling to $9.67 with tax. While I was looking over the menu, I was between the breakfast burrito since everybody was ordering it or the soft scramble with chili oil. I landed on the soft scrambled chili crunch. It was served with a half avocado and rye toast the others in our party ordered pancakes, bacon, a chicken sandwich and a Yuzu drink. Everything came out in a timely manner and beautifully plated. I absolutely loved the soft scramble on Rye. It was a perfect serving size as well as hitting the spot for a not so traditional breakfast. As we're sitting there, I noticed everybody was ordering the lemon ricotta pancakes, so I could not resist and ordered some as well. I will say the most underwhelming part of that was the lemon ricotta pancakes due to the ratios for the pancake pancakes and lemon ricotta. Overall, my experience was spectacular. I cannot wait to go back to Bluestone Lane to try other menu items.

It's a smaller space, but I visited during lunchtime on a Thursday and it wasn't busy at all, which made for a relaxing experience. Overall, a great little spot and one I would gladly visit again.

I have gone the past 2 years and never had issues getting it on the first day. This year was different. I got there around 5:05 and walked into the shop to see a lot of tables empty. I was shocked to see that. I waited in line with maybe like two people in front of me and guess what they asked of Pliny was still available. The guy working said to the people in front of me that they sold out. It was my turn I asked if they had it and the guy said that they had a line since 3pm and that they sold out of the keg. We ended up getting two beers since we went anyways but that's when things didn't add up. He kept telling all the other people that started to show up the same thing. These are reasons why it didn't add up 1) empty seats inside but had a line since 3pm and beer was released at 4pm 2) I don't think the people going for younger would just order one beer and not try other RR beers? 3) only one guy working beer counter and having to clean the tables and make sandwiches? 4) 12 oz pours of beer and keg with about 1984 oz would make it 166 beers. No way they sold 166 beers in an hour with one person working the bar and shop empty in an hour. They could have posted on their instagram or socials that they sold out but failed to do so. I'm sure a lot of people all night were disappointed to see that they didn't have it or post anything about it.

The menu is straightforward, divided into three sections: Beverages (herbal teas & coffee), Desserts (Knafeh & Baklava), and Booza/Ice Cream (offering a variety of intriguing flavors). The kind staff member allowed me ample time to peruse the menu. After careful consideration, I opted for the walnut Baklava, Knafeh, Turkish coffee, and pistachio Booza. Despite my unfamiliarity with these delicacies, each item I sampled was delightful. The Baklava, filled with walnuts and syrup, boasted a fresh and crispy filo dough. Knafeh, a novel experience for me, proved to be intriguing. Finally tried Filo Dessert Co in Old Towne Orange after constantly seeing a line out the door and it definitely lived up to the hype. This was my first time trying desserts like knafeh and fresh booza and I was honestly blown away by how unique everything tasted. The booza has a super stretchy, creamy texture that's completely different from regular ice cream, and the pistachio flavors were sooo good without being overly sweet. The knafeh came out warm, crispy, cheesy, and perfectly syrupy while the baklava had the perfect crunch. You can tell a lot of care goes into the desserts here. I also loved how they blend traditional Middle Eastern desserts with a more modern presentation and atmosphere. The shop itself is really cute inside and the staff was super patient explaining the menu to first timers. My fiancée and I went in for the first time and we instantly were greeted by the owner and the person working. I asked the owner what he recommended and he was very helpful and enthusiastic about his product. He suggested a few ice cream flavors and he suggested that I tried the knafeh so I did and it was very interesting. I do recommend trying it for the experience it comes with! The owner of this place is a perfect business owner and isn't all about money instead he is so positive and supportive of his creation. The inside was very nice and full of positive energy. I often find dessert places hit or miss, but Filo Dessert truly exceeded my expectations. Though they offer a limited menu, everything was spot on. My boyfriend's favorite was the Knafeh, while I was really impressed by the ice cream and Baklava. The Baklava was crispy and not too sweet. I recently visited Filo Desserts, which just opened and is gearing up for their grand opening on July 13. I tried the vanilla coconut latte, and it was excellent! The flavor was perfectly balanced, making it a delightful treat. The interior is very cute with plenty of seating and adorable decorations that create a cozy and welcoming atmosphere.
