Went to FEPCO for the first time this season. Had the most refreshing pineapple Mojito! Delicious!! We also had an arugula salad and a great pizza with sausage & meatballs. Perfectly done. Terrible waiter! What is it about taking care of customers that is so difficult for the younger set? Went for lunch mid-day on a Sunday - no lines and no waiting, which was perfect as we were in a bit of a rush. Service was excellent, friendly and prompt. Started with a steak tips which was as tender as it was delicious. Seriously it's like they use filet! Then the pizza - chicken, balsamic, plum tomatoes and basil pesto On top. I was just staying in Fairfield CT for the night and was really hungry. I ordered from Fire Engine Pizza because I liked the name. I ordered delivery with Uber Eats. I chose beef tips AND the artichoke and spinach pizza because I was so hungry. I also called the restaurant to ask for chili peppers after I had placed the order. First of all Uber Eats was great, it was raining and they had to walk down a pretty long driveway to the back of the house and they were so sweet about it. They were also fast. It came in no time. Fire house pizza has a nice decor and atmosphere. However, the utensils were not clean and I had to ask the waiter to change them. We ordered the margherita pizza which did not have any tomato sauce at all. Instead, the pizza had some cut tomatoes as toppings only and tasted too dry. We didn't finish the pizza and asked the waiter to pack the rest. Fun location off the beaten path a little, you can't miss it because of the giant fire truck parked out front. Parking is a little hit or miss but we rolled the dice and didn't get a ticket. We waited for a nice day because they have an outdoor seating option, though spaces are limited so get there early. We enjoyed the day and watched the employees load up the fire engine with wood. There were some people day drinking next to us so we were all having a good time. I split a salad and a pizza with my wife. They have a lot of original pizza options on the menu which I appreciated and it gives you a good reason to keep coming back. If I had to draw a comparison, I would say it reminds me a lot of Colony, great pizza and a fun environment. Looking forward to their upcoming Milford location. read more

Came here on a whim. Passed a few places that didn't look lovely, but was happy to see how cute the Fire engine looked from the outside. We were starving and knew we just wanted a pepperoni pizza. One of my cousin's was concerned that the pizza was gonna be burnt because it was firebrick oven pizza. We were happy to see it was perfectly cooked. The whole pizza was delicious. The dough, sauce, cheese, pepperoni. All perfect. We devoured it. Not sure if it was because we were starving but pretty sure it was perfect. Went here a month ago for a work function and I have already returned twice. I love their pizza and all of the different choices. On my first trip, with about 14 people we split about eight different small pies, so I got a good opportunity to taste everything. I really enjoyed every different combination. We were the only people there and our server was super attentive. I've been back on a date where we shared a large margarita pizza which was awesome and I would totally order again. This review is from service at the bar on a Saturday around 7pm. The bar area was busy but the spacing around the bar made it feel very comfortable. The service was outstanding. From the greeter to the bartenders I was extremely impressed with how attentive and friendly everyone was. Food: We order pizza because it seems like what the sample item that should be tried. 2 small pizzas were order. Pizza 1- Curry Chicken: probably one of the most amazing flavor combinations that I have had in awhile. Pizza 2 - Jalapeno polenta: another great pizza and flavor but it just didn't hold up to the flavors in pizza #1. Drinks: We order beers and I wish they would explain the selection to things that aren't so IPA focused. Not everyone likes IPAs and most bar seems to not give other options - wheats, sours, ambers. I really want to go higher with the star ratings but I just can't seem to do it. This place is adorable. I love the décor and the atmosphere walking in. People are happy and really loud. Seating is a bit crowded but I actually didn't mind it. We were quickly greeted and found a table for three on a Friday night, day before St. Paddy's Day where every place we tried beforehand had an hour wait or more. The broccoli rabe/sausage appetizer was fantastic and enough for three to try. I ordered the Black Rock Cobb Salad with chicken which was plentiful but my chicken was sadly really dry. However, the $8.00 (!!) Sea Hag washed it down nicely. My daughter ordered the Antioxidant Bowl (what even is this?) and loved it. Husband ordered the small clams casino pizza and pretty much enjoyed it however the middle was really soggy. I picked up a slice to try and the topping dripped off all over me cuz the slice sagged in half and the slice was not very big! If you go and order a large, you will have to use a plate and pull it apart with a fork. Not my kind of pizza. Need my pizza to be crispy on the bottom. My favorite at Fire Engine is their mashed potato pizza. I had a slice of spinach dip pizza and it was SO good and also very, very rich so I probably couldn't have done more than 1 slice! I've also catered with the Fire Engine Pizza Truck, and it was fantastic. Very good food, easy to book and pay (weirdly not true with all caterers). I can't speak to their bar or restaurant staff, but the catering staff is great, very kind and hard-working. They kept making pizzas until every scrap was gone and the event was packed up! read more

I've had food from here in the past and had a great experience, but the food we ordered last night? Totally disgusting. Our calamari was extremely salty and grossly soggy, the vinaigrette on my salad was overly sweet, and the chicken on our pizza tasted old and reheated (you know that gross after taste old chicken has? Yeah, that) and was full of gristle. It was extremely disappointing. I can't comment on any other aspects of the experience - we ordered takeout and I wasn't the one picking it up.
