I have been here a few times. They were very average experiences. However, the last visit was definately something to write about. I called in my order 10 minutes ahead of time. Excellent customer service! The representative was nice, friendly, patient and explained different options. When I arrived, the order was ready. We were greeted with smiles. Large may be for HUGE MEN (or if you wanna split w a friend). CLUB ON A SUB is the best. I get it with the works. Their house bbq or hot sauce is awesome. Stopped in for lunch on 1/6 and it was pretty busy. I ordered the small meatball and added yellow peppers with a meal. Customer service was good but I was very confused because the moment I sat down to wait for my meal I realized a lot of people had numbers sitting on their tables. I had asked for the order to eat there so I wasn't sure what I was missing. about 10 minutes go by and I was afraid I must have missed my name but I looked around and realized the people before me still didnt have their meals. another 5 minutes or so pass and a gentleman that I was there before I was grew impatient and asked the cashier to check on his order. I don't think anyone was expecting their orders to take so long.. **update*** I have underestimated this place. Over the last few months I have been coming here and have changed my mind. I am becoming a fan. I usually get the Philly Cheesesteak on white loaded with onions, peppers and Provolone cheese on a white roll with mustard and deli mustard. The small is well small...4 inches. Who wants that? The medium is a perfect size to fill me up. The Mister gets the Italian with extra meat or the Pastrami with corn beef on white with all the fixings and double the mayo. Wash everything down with a self serve 1001 things to drink fountain. My go to button is the Ginger Ale or the HI C Orange. Plenty of non soda drinks like Vitamin water, flavored juices and lemonades, iced teas, ect. Prices are reasonable. The reward club has a lot of perks and freebies. Take advantage of it. The girls here are so friendly. They really get to know their regulars. I like that. They make conversation. They get the orders right. They offer gaurenteed smiles. My go to's are the hook and ladder with an extra pickle on the side and when I'm not eating meat it's the veggie sub, it comes with caramelized mushrooms and onion which is actually really tasty. Hayley the cashier was super nice and friendly. She was very helpful on our ordering our meals. Appetizer: I had: The Firehouse Chili; It was nice and hot for a rainy day. It was flavorful. Entrée: I ordered: The Hook & Ladder Sub; smoked turkey, honey ham, and jack cheese on wheat bread. A medium size sub with an added side of baked potato chips. It was fresh and very tasty. I drank a Coke Zero to balance my meal. Diana ordered: Firehouse Meatball Sub; Italian meatballs, provolone, marina sauce, and Italian seasoning. A medium size sub on wheat bread with a side of baked potato chips. A good combination of flavors. Diana drank a Coke Zero with her meal. Dessert: I had: Oatmeal Raisin Cookie; was tasty. Spectacularly cute and spotlessly clean, I liked this place the moment I walked in. But with a sandwich shop this cute, could the food or service be any good? Well, in this case, it was! While my son ordered the sandwich and brownie, I ordered the Firehouse Salad. My son had the ham sandwich. With honey ham, provolone, tomato, lettuce, and mayo on a white roll, the ingredients in his sandwich were fresh and delicious. My salad had cucumber, olives, tomato, mozzarella, and romaine lettuce and was great too. The brownie was "awesome", according to my son, and course I had to verify this. I thought this brownie was super moist and the flavor was wonderful. Although there was a bit of a wait for the food, there was plenty to see while we waited. There were two televisions and a couple of cool murals on the walls here. The mural of the City of Orange firetruck was really nice. The black and white spotted tables, dalmatian dog in the corner, and firefighter's jackets hung on hooks near the door are all fun things here. I also liked that they had little plastic fire chief hats to hand out to the kids. By the time we were done checking everything out, our to-go was ready. Came here Saturday morning just past ten during covid-19 and there were two employees there and no other customers. My husband and I ordered a sub to share, they took our order and we thought started making it. We didn't realize that they didn't start making it until almost ten minutes later the guy at the counter asks us to review our order. The two employees felt chit chatting in front of two customers was more important than working. We ordered a large sub with half mayo and no mustard and half mustard, no mayo. I started eating it immediately and the bottom of my bread was already soggy. I looooooove mustard, but there was so much Dijon it was too spicy, like I ate a spoonful of horseradish. And something on it must've completely bled thru to the bread which became inedible and disintegrated when soggy. The customer service is terrible. Their mobile app literally works 10% of the time and I have to email customer service every time to try to get them to fix all of their glitches. Since I was unable to do a mobile order because app wasn't working, I asked if they would honor my $5 off "welcome back" coupon. The associate said no so I asked to speak to the manager. The manager called the owner and the OWNER wouldn't honor $5 off. Ridiculous. I've been in customer service as a Store Manager for years and $5 is nothing to make the customer happy and do the right thing. That is the reason for my 1 star review. read more

In the long line of options for Subs in the area, this place was OK. Given then choice, I'm sorry to say I prefer Earl of Sandwich. That being said, the meatball sandwich was delish. Loved the melted cheese on top. The cute little hats they have at the counter are cute as well. Service was typical. I had a coupon and girl messed it up, but they were kind enough to refund the different back on our card. Now sure when this location opened, but they have a NOW OPEN sign in front so I assume not very long. They have some coupons in the Entertainment which means we'll be back. Went to this location tonight and having been here before knew what to expect... The service from Michaela was excellent. She was professionally polite. My order was made incorrectly however she and her coworker a young lady whose name I did not get fixed it immediately and were kind about it. The food here is delicious! I got the Book and Ladder and husband had the chicken meatball parmesan and that smelled so good like authentic Italian! He loved it and said it was delicious! The atmosphere in there is casual and easy going and perfect for a fun date night or even a lunch break! I went here the other night( around 6:30pm) with my husband and son for dinner. Other than the friendly service I will NEVER be coming back here again. My son had the good ole kids ham sandwich, no problem there. Here's where the problems start, my husband had the hero sandwich with all the works added some jalapeños and nothing to crazy. I had the grilled chicken with bacon and olives. Everything seemed fine. I saw a price of chicken that was a little blackish/brownish but I thought it was from the olive juice that soaked into my bread. Once I got home, which was about 7:30, I felt really tight in my stomach and thought maybe it was just I ate too much even though I ONLY had the medium sandwich. THEN around 1AM I was woken up out of my sleep, as I started to not feel to well. My husband complained about not feeling well but was able to push past the pain. Me on the other hand, I felt nauseous and my stomach hurt really bad. So bad so that I couldn't even go back to sleep. I tried my hardest to go back to sleep and finally did until at around 3 AM I had the worst cramping in my stomach I could not bear the pain that it woke me up out of my sleep and that's when the throwing up and everything started. The pain and the throwing up and everything was so bad that I ended up in the ER. Doctor said I got food poisoning from whatever I had from dinner( which was fire house subs). So needless to say, because of the food poisoning, I will never be back. read more

I ordered the Jamaican Jerk Turkey sandwich which I have never tried before. I received my food and sat down to eat and as I was almost done with the sandwich the staff comes over and presents me with another sandwich. They stated that the seasoning on the sandwich they originally provided me was was incorrect. I didn't know what to expect as far as taste and didn't even mention it to the staff. Very incompetent staff you have here. I ordered 3 large subs. I was quoted 20 minutes. I arrived in 20 minutes to a confused staff. Then after 5 minutes someone says "no one put in the order ". BF and I stopped in for lunch here yesterday. They were super busy and we were lucky to get a table. Order and pay at the counter, somebody brings your food to you. I think the layout in here is awful. They jammed entirely too many tables into a small space, and if you are on the outer row of tables (as we were) and the line is long (as it was) the people in line are literally shoved up against your table. Remove one row of tables and I think this place would be better. Moving on. The food - I ordered a Sriracha Beef sandwich and BF had the Club on a Sub. His sandwich was really good! I would order that in the future. It was a hot sub that had turkey, ham, bacon, cheese, lettuce, onions, mustard and mayo. Very flavorful. My Sriracha Beef was literally that. I guess I thought it would be a Sriracha mayo or some other toned down version of Sriracha. Nope. It was a sandwich with beef and some lettuce and onion (I opted out of tomato) drenched in Sriracha. It was way too spicy. Too much sauce! I would come back to either get my BF's sandwich or try some other sandwich they have that does not involve Sriracha. This place opened up earlier this year and we finally decided to give it a try. Since we are hooked on our sandwich spot sometimes it's hard to go somewhere new not knowing what your gonna get. This is a hot sub sandwich spot with a pretty big selection of different ones to choose from. They are also have a few subs, under 500 cals, that come on a small round bun instead of the usual sun bread. I ordered The Engineer which is turkey, Swiss, sautéed mushrooms, lettuce, tomatoes, mayo and mustard served hot. It comes with onions but I had mine without. They provide a pickle on the side. It was okay but not great. The bread was soft and fresh. The mushrooms did not have a lot of flavor for being sautéed and there weren't very many in the sub. The sandwich also was overpowered by the mayo. I don't think it was bad but it could have been better. The pricing is about $9 to $10 for a combo. The combo includes a sub, chips and a drink. The drink is like the size of a large even if you choose medium. The soda machine they have is the one where you select the soda on a screen and then they give you different flavors of that soda to choose from. I've never really been a fan of these since a lot of the extra flavors taste very syrupy to me. I just stuck to the OG flavors like Coke, DP, sprite, etc. The place however is really cute inside.
