This is by far the worst Firestone location I've ever been to. My car was having trouble starting so I stopped in on my way home from work to see if I needed a new battery. They did a free diagnostic and I needed one so I got one. They also did a free electrical test (which I passed) so I at least appreciate that, but it's probably the only thing I can applaud them for. So I buy a new battery, get it installed (the labor was $50) and go on my way. So here I am with a brand new battery and no electrical problems so this should mean my car will start without issue moving forward, right? NOPE. The first morning after my replacement it takes my car three tries to start so I get nervous and decide not to drive it. The next day I take a half day off work to take it back to Firestone to figure out what is happening. The only problem is now it will not start at all. So I have my dad come over to see what's going on/ try to jump it and he realizes the connector or whatever is super loose. So this Firestone sell me a new battery but can't properly install it?? COOL. So I get my car jumped and go to a Firestone near by house (the one on Dempster is by work) and guess what the connector piece needs replacement. Why didn't the Firestone on Dempster tell me this?? Instead they let me keep the current one that can not tighten enough to allow my car to start. This new location I'm at is replacing it for free and so apologetic of the other locations mistake. Now I wish I could stop my story there, but I can't. While I was getting my battery replaced they found a nail in my tire that needed repair. So for about $20 I do that too. But as this new location is working on my car they notice the same tire I just got fixed two days ago is STILL leaking. So I paid the first Firestone location to fix two problems and neither repair was done properly. read more

I am completely outraged with this place. I went in to get an oil change and saw that my tire had a metal blade in it. I asked them if they could check it out and they did free of charge. They came back 5 min later and told me it was un-fixable. At that point they had tires listed out for me. I am a single mother, working part time and going to school full time. I dont have a great deal of money! The guy over told me he was doing me a great service of cutting down the price and giving me all the discounts he could just to help me out in my situation. Me, freaking out wanted to talk to my dad first about the situation and whether the tire was a good deal. That even i went online to show my dad the tire and what do I see? The tire on-sale online. He wasnt giving me any discounts. He completely lied to me. I also went to another auto facility (K O Tire) and Kevin there told me that my tire was an easy fix. I was shocked. Firestone put me in a complete frenzy the next couple days and wasted my time. This shop seems to specialize on smooth talking because it seemed like they were the nicest people to me and seemed as if they were genuinely trying to help me but all they did was try to scam me and lie to me. Be careful about going here, especially if you know nothing about cars because they will get you with their smooth talking just like they almost got me. read more

I ended up with a nail in my tire during the COVID pandemic. Thankfully Firestone was open and able to help. When I arrived, I was told that it would be an hour to an hour and a half wait, but that their waiting area was closed so I was told I had to stand there during this time. When I asked if there was a chair, I was told no. The best part is that the man checking me in had NO MASK on. When I asked why he was not wearing one, he said "they don't make me". WHAT!? To add to this, he had a completely inappropriate movie blasting on the TV in the waiting room. There was no way not to hear it or see it as I stood there, and believe me, it was NOT appropriate. I usually come here to service my vehicle and it's fine, but I just couldn't believe this entire experience. I am so disappointed in this Firestone location. Absolutely no consideration for their customer, and their disregard for the public's safety by not adhering to the mask rule was astounding. read more

This Firestone is a nice place with nice employees. I have had work done to several vehicles. Always treat you with respect and are courteous. And I like that they can "do it all" to your vehicle. Not just tires. Brakes to a new motor and everything in between. Soild 5 stars. Not sure why they are getting bad reviews here. They are much better then that. read more

We have always had phenomenal service. We bought our tires here and have since some back for oil changes, brakes, replaced our tire rod, alignments. They do a great job and the guys are friendly and knowledgeable. They've never tried to talk us into buying something we really didn't need. We stopped in on a Sunday morning because of a screw in our tire. We were in and out in less than 30 minutes. We usually deal with Kyle the tire sales manager. He's awesome. Super friendly and really knows his stuff. I totally recommend this location. read more

The service at this specific location is amazing! Jeremy is great! His customer service is amazing too! Another firestone did something they weren't supposed to do and Jeremy let me know the problem and told me if it happens again to come back and they will help me out!!! I would give this Firestone 0 Stars if I knew how to...I've my Work truck here 5 Times in the Since May 8th to have the A/C repaired. The first time the only work they did was to confirm what the issue was, they came to the conclusion the hose needed to be repaired. Brought it back the next Monday waited about 5 hours left with truck happy to have A/C about a week later same issue (warm air blowing again). Brought it back the 3rd time was told it was a faulty part they ordered but would be able to fix it, after another 3 hours left with my truck A/C working...week goes by same problem. Bring it back the fourth time! Now the hose that was replaced twice needs to be repaired again along with a supposed valve and a refrigerant hose that needed to be replaced behind the dash. They got approval for the work to be done had me drop off the truck on a Friday Morning told me 2 days...picked up the truck Tuesday Morning. AC working properly no issues with that up to date but now have noticed I have standing water just sitting underneath my driver side floor mat. Called in yesterday...no sorry or anything just you can bring it back in and we'll take a look at it. Not sure if this is intentional to continue to charge Donlen for additional work on my vehicle to make more money or just incompetence...whatever the circumstance I'm completely unsatisfied and will no be bringing my business back to this location ever again. I suggest you do the same. Over 2 Days Later...Still no Word from Firestone. Front floorboard now under water, take your time guys. read more

i went to this place to have an oil change, and they forgot to put back the cover for the oil so it was spilling all over the place. of course i smelled gas everytime i turned on the engine. so i went to the jeep dealer in skokie and told them about the problem. they popped up the hood, that's when they saw the spillage and the cover is there somewhere. it cost me 55 bucks from the dealer to clean it up and check if there's any damage besides paying firestone 27 something for their execrable work. read more

I must say I've been to this location a few different times and always am grateful of the service. But the reason for my review is the fact that the service department takes so much unfair abuse from their so called "valued" customers. I was in the shop a couple days ago asking for a quote from Jaime and I overheard another customer getting checked in by John. Seemed routine enough until the customer snapped at John regarding a statement John made about mileage from his last service. And the sad part is that John just had to sit there and take the abuse from this disgusting snob of a "customer" who clearly thinks he's better than him. I was hoping that a manager would step in and refuse to service this arrogant jerk but unfortunately I see that Firestone would rather pander to a snob than support their employees. Stay Away! This place used to be good but their service has really gone to the sewer. I've been taking my 3 vehicles here for 5 years but not any more. I made an appt for simple oil change 10 days in advance and asked for a slot when I wouldnt have to wait that long. Got there and they said it would be an hour and a half. An appt time is meaningless here. Don't say you weren't warned. read more

Best tire prices. I compared price with a local Chevy dealer, another tire shop, and Costco. These guys had the lowest "all-in" cost plus had the tire size in inventory (not the case for Costco). They were great about not up-selling. The manager reviewed 2 different tires with me and recommended the lower priced tire. He did not pressure me when I declined the hazard insurance on the tires. They gave me a turnaround time and came in on target. I've been to this shop twice in the last 6 months. Good experience both times. I'd recommend making an appt. read more

Had a great first experience back in may 2016. I went back to purchase tires on another one of our vehicles. The work was sloppy. They left the mounting fluid on all four of the new tires after installation. There is no way the mechanic missed it as he was putting the tires back on the van. In addition, I took my other car back a few weeks later to get a free tire rotation. They broke the wheel lug on one of the tires. They tried to charge me $130 dollars to fix it. The shop manager was a jerk. He told me that I hadn't properly maintained the car and brought it in every 6 months or 6000 miles. He told me it was my fault. After further debate, he said it's the cheap aluminium lugs followed by rust that caused that issue. Extremely rude with zero customer service. I can think of many other ways this could have been handled. I ended up fixing the wheel lug myself for $6.00 at home. This shop has gone down hill and I will not be bringing anymore business their way. I caution others to shop prices before agreeing to let them service. read more
