Took my car in for an oil change and inspection. They offered me the synthetic lunge with tire rotation and other crap which was more expensive than the regular one, but I took it anyway. When I got out of my car, I decided to mark one of the tires to make sure that they did do the tire rotation. I also had a brake light out and told them to change that bulb. After several hours, they told me my inspection failed because my windshield wipers were broken and my brake light on my hatchback was not working. They wanted $177 to change the lightbulb on the hatchback. I said no and I told them that I just gotten the windshield wipers from advanced auto a few months ago so I'm gonna go back there to see if they can fix it or if they could give me a discount on other ones. I picked up my car and noticed that the tire was still in the same place I told the manager he apologized and said he would do it himself right now. Took my car, went to a store and then went to advanced auto. Ask the sales clerk if you could check my windshield wiper and fix it or can we get a new one. He came out and looked at the wiper. He said they failed you on this the little cap at the end. It was literally missing. He said I can give you a free cap and put it on there for you. I asked him if he can look at the brake light that they said wasn't working and he pulled it out and he said it was broken and there's a piece of tape holding it up. I couldn't believe it. I was shocked and angry. He told me too turn the car on and step on the break which I did and he said the light is working. I couldn't believe it. That's what they said wasn't working and failed me on that also. I drove back to the Firestone, which is at McKinley Mall in Blasdell NY but they were closed already I went the next day and asked for the manager, but he wasn't there and spoke to another person and explained to him everything that happened. He insisted they did not break the light. It might've been there from before gave me all these excuses and then he said go in the car and turn the brake on. I did and he said that light is working but the left one isn't I said are you freaking kidding me? That's the one that I paid you guys $60 to fix and that's not fixed also he told me to come back that they would fix it I am so infuriated. I did not want to go back there. I called corporate and told him what happened. They filed a claim and told me someone will call me within 48 hours. The person that called me was the manager from the store. I told him that I don't want them to service the vehicle. I want to service it somewhere else and they can pay for it and I'm waiting for corporate to call me back. I called corporate again. They told me that they'll escalated to the regional manager and he'll call me back within 48 hours. I call back at the end of the second day since he hadn't called me back and they said oh it's not 48 hours yet so I waited till the following day that point it was 72 hours since I still hadn't gotten a call from the regional manager. They assured me that they were concerned about the matter and I would hear from somebody. We did another 48 hours still no one called me back called one more time. At this point, it was almost the end of the month and I needed to have my car fixed so I had no choice but went back to them to get it fixed. They fixed it and I have yet to have a call from the regional manager. The technician even apologized himself, but I'm not sure what he was apologizing for that he didn't do his job or that he purposely did all this or did didn't do what he was supposed to do. Assistant supervisor that day gave me excuses as to oh it could happen. We're human mistakes happen. One mistake, happens three do not just happen. I told her I would've let it go at this point however since I have not gotten a call from the regional manager, I will be writing reviews everywhere and also I will contact New York State inspection to let them know that they are purposely failing people so they can charge their money to fix things that don't need fixing. This repair shop gives false estimates. They will tell you one price on the phone, then charge you a much higher price upon completion of repairs (trying to tack on a lot of nonsense charges). In the case of my friend, on the phone they quoted her $114 for an oil change, then afyer completing the work, tried to charge her $169. Very dishonest! After looking at reviews online, this appears to be their modus operandi. Avoid Firestone Repair on Jefferson Road like the plague. read more

I've been going to Firestone my whole life for oil changes. I'm 61 years old by the way. Today was no different. I went there for the basic $29.99 oil change and they added all sorts of other charges including: $8.99 (oil filter) $2.99 (used filter recycling charge) $6.01 (oil change labor) $33.99 (oil itself) + tax= $56.14! Update....brought my ve to my local Firestone to address continued issues of no heat and a temp gauge that did not work. Well they told me that the system was not bled properly so they proceeded to do that but 24 hours later we had no heat and the check engine light on. Well the code showed a faulty thermostat which I'm told should have been replaced when the radiator was done. So now I have to replace the thermostat....and pay for it!!! Can't make this up. My car has not been right for 4 days and now I have to pay more to fix it. read more

Make sure they did what they charged you for. They changed my tires on my vehicle and charge me for new TPMS sensors. But when I got my car back, my TPMS sensors were not correct, which led me to believe they never change them even though I got charge for them. Their service time is also longer than expected. Beware online prices aren't the same as in store. Tires are great though! read more

NOTE: I want anyone who reads this review to read the first two paragraphs the most. It shows the care that Firestone has put into resolving my problem. I have turned my one star into a five star because I value customer service. UPDATE: I made a call to the regional manager who immediately helped put this forward to this store. After dropping it off, I met with this nice manager Don (I think that's how you spell it) and he helped get everything together. He took a look and determined that it likely wasn't the brakes at all and offered to fix the problem with no cost to me as I just paid for brakes I likely didn't need. So thank you to the Firestone team for their help. ORIGINAL: I have a Jeep Wrangler and I needed it to be serviced. I won't pretend I'm any type of person that is very aware of things that can go wrong but I am absolutely aware that my brakes have nothing to do with squeaking when turning since I literally had just gotten new brakes. Alas, I allowed them to give me their professional opinion about the brakes and may I say that was a big mistake. Firstly, they found multiple problems about my Jeep and I dumbly went with the flow and accepted it. However, first, they do not tell me that the time to repair my jeep is no longer originally one day. I have to call to my surprise to be told that the "dealership isn't open on weekends" and that this special part for my Jeep is needed. Strike number one not telling me the expected time table for my car. Secondly, they put on brand new brakes that DO NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. Strike number two. Thirdly, they literally had to have turned my car in order to park in the parking lot to return it to me and whoever drove it didn't notice it was still squeaking? Is this a joke??? Strike number three. That's literally unreal. This place used to be great and there were good managers and "specialists" and "technicians" that knew what they were talking about. This... is just unreal. I go to complain and he looks at me and says "do you want us to take a look?" $1300 later and they're going to now potentially charge me more money to fix the problem I originally came in to fix. Justin heard my complaint when I said that there was a shaking on acceleration but said in order for them to test drive it they need a work order, for the mechanics are not employees but independent contractors so you need to purchase a $9.99 car care package for them to look at it. I passed and got my alignment. Justin said the tech said there was no vibrations besides- we only have tire changers and alignment guys so you couldn't really have it diagnosed by a licensed mechanic until tomorrow! I was beside myself!!! You wanted to charge me $9.99 when there was no licensed mechanic on premises?!?!? What is wrong with you? For "complete auto care" they don't keep mechanics on staff on Sunday? I like the founder's quote on the wall about honesty and integrity so ironic when every time I go there they try to swindle me! What a horrible experience, took my truck there to get an inspection done and when I got home (I made no stops) there was a dent and big scratch on my drivers side panel above the rear tire. When I went back to question how this happend I was told that there was no possible way they could have damaged my truck because their lift is yellow and goes under the truck so I'm left to assume they must use rubber or soft foam tools which honestly is impressive because no one has ever slipped with a tool dropped something they didn't mean to, or have an accident. I commend you firestone on your 100% accident free record, I'm surprised that your rating here is below a two considering how perfect you are. Also while waiting for the manager I got the pleasure of overhearing the service advisor Paul having the most pleasant transposition conversation with a customer, if that's Paul's position there's not much I can do about that but to allow that kind of conduct inside a place of business is horrible. Very disappointed. This was my first time using this firestone location, my husband has been both an employee and a customer of firestone locations in Buffalo so we were confident is choosing a firestone in Henrietta. I work locally so I called a week before my appointment day and told them I would be able to drop off at 7AM and leave the vehicle there all day and pick up at 4PM. I did just that, dropped the vehicle off at 7AM on 5/31/23 for an oil change and alignment (we have lifetime alignments through firestone). I hadn't heard anything by 2:30PM so I called to check on the vehicle and they said it was just waiting on the alignment and to give them an hour. I arrived at 4:15PM, and they hadn't touched the vehicle ALL DAY. Then told me I could wait 40 minutes and they would get it done. IT WAS THERE ALL DAY! It's your loss Firestone of Henrietta, I'm a loyal customer when I receive good service and I am reimbursed by my employer for all vehicle maintenance so if you tell me it needs to be done, I usually do it. We will be taking the vehicle to Buffalo from now on. I would give zero stars if I could. read more

Set appointment for noon, got there at 11:45 left 2:45 took 3 hrs for an inspection on a vehicle 2019 40,000. Worked there some time ago, they were taking black folders, drop offs instead of red folders, waiters. I know the mechanics make no money on inspection and make a lot of money on the more extensive repairs. My vehicle didn't even make it in the bay until 1:30. Lack of mechanics, I'm sorries, Give me a break. Inspections only take 15 to 20 minutes with no repairs. Came back to me for a wiper blade? So I stopped by the location on Jefferson Rd. On my lunch to have my rear left tire repaired (there was a screw in it). They told me they could get it done right then which was great since I didn't have a lot of time. I told the manager that I left the key to the lug nuts on the front passenger seat and went over to the waiting area while they worked on my car. After about 5 minutes the manager comes over to me and says he has good news and bad news. I thought to myself great.... He tells me whoever worked on my car last stripped the key to the lug nuts. I told him the dealer has only done work to my car and he gives me the shredded key back to me. I looked at the key and it was stripped. It definitely was not stripped when I left it on the seat. I did not have time to argue with the guy so I left and went over to the dealer to see if could remove the locks (which they did since they had a master key set) I decided to call Firestone customer service to make them aware of the situation and the area manager called me the next day to follow up with me. I told the area manager about what had happened and he told me he believed his tech did not strip the key. He asked me if there was anything he could do for me and I told him I wanted nothing other than to make him aware of the dishonest people that work for him. Went in for simple broken lugnuts, they came out and told me I needed a brand new wheel axel, and new wheel bearings with the lugnuts. Quoted me $1600 to fix and said I needed it done immediately and not to drive. I immediately knew something was up and took my Jeep to another shop, which quoted me $374, and said I did not need a new wheel axel or bearings at all. If you are old, young, or just dont know much about cars dont go here, they will take advantage and overcharge you for things you dont need. read more

Oddly enough they quoted us less on things that the Honda dealerships did. Its conveniently located in a mall in Henrietta that has a grocery store, dollar tree and other stuff to keep you entertained if you need to wait around. Parking is good since it's in a mall. I just went to them for tires (why on earth would you use a tire shop for engine electrical repairs???), and I did get a pretty good deal on a set of snows that were on sale (buy 3, get 1 free). They mounted and balanced them OK, and didn't over-torque the lugnuts, and they put my summer tires in the trunk. I got home and removed the summer tires, and noticed that they hadn't bothered to mark which position each tire came from. I mean, EVERY tire dealer on the planet will do at least THAT. Oh, well, so much for my tire rotation pattern...... FWIW, I wouldn't go out of my way to patronize them again. If they had a good tire on sale, yes, but otherwise, no. read more

I will never take another car to any Firestone if I can help it. I left for a week on vacation and my 2000 Cavalier was acting funny (stalling, engine light, etc) when I got back. I took it to Firestone because they had been reliable so far. It was a very wet week, the car was outside and not used, and some water had fried the ignition module. They replaced it (very expensive). A few days later the problem came back. They said it was the crank sensor this time so I got a new one put it. A few days later the problem came back. Now they couldn't figure out what to do. They had my car for 3 days before finding that they installed the crank sensor incorrectly. They fixed it. A few days later the problem came back. By now I had spent around $1500 to have the car be in the exact same state it was originally. Firestone is fine for oil changes, tire rotations, etc. But I'm done using them for anything else. It's not worth the money you could save over using a dealer. read more

I had a horrible experience at the local Pep Boys with a flat tire. After hitting my breaking point with them I called firestone and talked to Mike and he was super kind and understanding, he got me right in first thing in the morning and kept me informed through the whole process, ended up having to get all four tires replaced after being at pep boys twice in the past few weeks and them not telling me this was needed. I feel so much better hitting the road now and look forward to returning to this location in the future. read more

I recently went to Firestone in Henrietta on Jefferson for an oil change. The oil change went fine and they also inspected my vehicle which went fine...here is the problem...I drove away and the next day my radiator was spilling all over the place. Fortunately, I have auto mechanic skills and to my surprise, the screw plug at the base of the radiator was turned about one and a half turns which caused my radiator to almost empty out. I was able to tighten the screw and add a half a gallon of anti freeze. Here is what I don't get...radiator plugs don't just unscrew themselves after a year of being fine as they collect gook and other deposits which keep them in place for the most part. I called the manager and told him I will never bring my vehicle back there as this was not cool. He did not seem to take any responsibility nor was I accusing anyone. But it does not take an idiot to do the math....I can't in good faith recommend them to anyone based on this experience. Stay away if you don't want your radiator plug to be unscrewed or even worse drive off from this place without your tires attached. Sorry Firestone, but not happy at all. read more

So I'm a girl with zero car intelligence and so I came here to get my Toyota Camry worked on a few years back. I just needed an oil change and of course they ran the whole "yeah you should get all your tires replaced and a break few lights replaced as well" "oh and an alignment" okay what the hell, (dad paid for the tires so cool). I get home and immediately my check engine light turns on so I come back a week later so I have them turn the light off which costed me $70 originally for them to do it. Well the guy on duty noted that I should get my lights replaced in the back.... I was livid! So you're telling me you charged me over $100 to replace my tail lights and you never put them in the first time?? Scam artists! I told him that and he ignored me. I had a lock cylinder and housing replaced there and was charged $550 for the part alone. I looked online and found one for $112 which is about five times the price they charged me. The sales rep said that they install manufacturer approved parts only. The part I saw online was an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) made by Genuine Auto Parts. I appealed to the company and they had the Customer Service manager contact me and he insisted that the part cost was legitimate to which I replied that I, honestly don't believe him. I was an easy mark or target. I had to be towed in so I was stuck. My total bill which included labor and a new tire was $950. That's no typo. They, also, conveniently neglected to give me the 5% Geico discount and they added a $10 insurance charge for the tire which I never agreed to. They did adjust the bill for those latter "mistakes" but I was ripped off on the part. The only good that came out of it is that I can warn consumers not to do business at this Firestone. I can only imagine what scams they run on little old ladies. read more
