I have no regrets coming here today! We came towards the end of the shift around 1 PM. We were seated quickly after being on the waitlist through the website. Our server Jordan was timely, courteous, and just on point! So shoutout to her! The trifecta was perfect as usual, my waffle was crispy, which I love. My eggs were fluffy and my bacon was thick and flavorful. The Floridian French toast was soft and I'm not sure if it was supposed to have a bit of crispiness but it didn't. The flavor was ok though. We gave our name and took a seat. It's a very cute cozy place with an exciting menu. We were seated in under 20 minutes and the food was delicious and worth the wait. I ordered cheese grits, bacon and an English muffin, my boyfriend ordered the pumpkin pancakes with sausage. Both were very fresh and good. I also had the Carrot Crush drink that was very refreshing. Decided to go out for breakfast this morning and our stomachs led us to First Watch. Nice rustic interior design. Menu options are great. If you want something filling and healthy they got it. International flavors they got it. Hearty, sweet, savory, and salty, they got that too. We had the lemon ricotta pancakes and biscuits and gravy. Amazing lol. Pancakes were hot, airy and fluffy. The whipped lemon ricotta topping was a nice add. You could eat it without syrup if you wanted to. Biscuits and gravy was hearty, peppery bit not too heavy. So we are finally done with this place. We absolutely love the food. However every time we come, we end up waiting an insane amount of time. We use the app to get in line before we come. That helps. But then we have to wait for our waiter to come and take our order (or our drinks). Then we have to wait AGAIN for our food. And by wait I mean we waited an hour to get our food. By the time we get our food, we are so upset from waiting that we don't really enjoy the food. We decided while we love the food, it's not worth it anymore. First time trying First Watch. I've heard a lot about this spot from friends and co-workers and a after mild morning hike, I checked in. I ordered the Braised Short Rib Benedict with a French toast, and the Kale Tonic drink. The Kale Tonic was recommended by Lala, the bubbly waitress. Often times, I order the more healthy option drinks from different places and the taste is mediocre. This however, the Kale Tonic, was on point! The Benedict was also great. It was very filling and looked amazing. The potatoes was just right, it enriched the flavors of the Benedict with its own rich flavors. (Shout out to the chef!) I'm going back for that Avocado toast but I definitely recommend this spot for your next move. Can't go wrong. read more

I should be writing this review about the amazing food and how much I loved everything. But unfortunately it was overshadowed by the manager on duty being a complete hellion to everyone she encountered from the customers to the employees. It's actually interesting that she is running the place because you can tell by the aesthetics of the place they have a nice and inviting atmosphere. She is seriously their only problem. The entire time we were eating she was constantly being rude to everyone she encountered. Two employees were sitting at the table beside us maybe rolling silverware I'm not sure but she stopped over to them and just barked ordered. She even got on our waitress about us not wanting our drinks to go even though our waitress was right and she had to take them back and pack them up because of her managers bad information. I spent a little under $100 and while I was eating all I heard was her telling customers what she was NOT going to do. Someone came a little late for their Togo order and she was telling them she's not making it over because they should have came when it was ready. Now I understand not wanting to waste but there is a way to go about getting your point communicated without offense. When I went up to the register to pay she was standing there and instead of greeting me or saying how was the food or anything she chose to put her figure up like hold on and never said one word. So I'm just standing there with my card ready to pay and she playing on the POS system like it was more important than letting me go on about my day. The funniest part was I left there and went to the dirty Dollar Tree next door and was treated like I was at the Ritz Carlton Hotel. So all in all the food was great the purple haze drink and their fresh juices are great. The lemon ricotta pancakes are delicious everything about my meal was great. I wish they didn't use water in the hot chocolate but I can deal with that. However if you want a pleasant dining experience without a side of verbal abuse taking place I'd advise you to try another one of their locations if they have one. I hope she gets training or finds a job doing landscaping or something not involving people. You can tell this was not a bad day it's her bossy attitude she needs to reevaluate. I hope the upper management understands that the experience is way more important than the food. I could have wrote a great review of average food if the service was nice but instead I have great food and a less than stellar experience. read more

My mother ordered an omelette, toast and salad with the million dollar bacon. Every time I have been here the stay have been very friendly and accommodating. When we walked in we were greeted by the hostess. She was organized and told us there was a wait but was still effective when helping people to get sat at a table. Once we sat down we were pretty much ready to order since we looked at the menu while waiting. My mother ordered off the seasonal menu which had a seafood omelette. She enjoyed it. I also had some of her bacon which was really tasty. It had a sticky sweetness to it and was cooked perfectly. I have had the breakfast tacos before and they definitely did not disappoint and were filling and cooked to perfection. Now I really like First Watch. I have always only gone to the Laurel location which has always been good. I never knew there was one in Bowie, which is actually closer to me. We were greeted upon arrival and seated right away. Now generally First Watch usually has a wait, especially on Sundays. The server was very nice indeed. She explained the menu and the most popular dish there. She checked in on us frequently to make sure that we didn't need anything. The food was great and came in a timely manner. It had flavor and the portions are generous. I really like the Kale Tonic Juice, its a refreshing glass of healthy goodness. It does have a taste you have to get used to though. My family and I were hesitant to come to this restaurant after reading several of the reviews that were not positive. However, we decided to give it a first try. We had a wonderful experience. The ladies at the hostess entrance were welcoming and kind. They told us it was a 15-minute wait. We actually only waited 10 minutes. Angel, our waitress was very sweet and very attentive. Our food came out quick and hot. We think most of the bad reviews are coming from people who come here on the weekends. Got in line at home via the First Watch app. It even tells you what time you should come to the restaurant. When I got in line on the app there was a 85 minute wait. We went to the restaurant at the designated time and were seated right away, which was awesome. The staff was very friendly as usual. I've never been to their bathroom before and was pleasantly surprised at how well kept the bathroom was. I ordered the Farmhouse Skillet Hash, which is two caged-free eggs (I requested over easy so my eggs could run over my seasoned potatoes), bacon (which i omitted), avocado, house-roasted onions, and tomatoes, cheddar and monterey jack cheesed, along with a slice of whole grain artisan toast. My food was delicious. Everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned. I typically have to add pepper to my food, however I was pleasantly surprised at how well seasoned the food was. Their artisan bread is thick, soft and delicious. My boyfriend ordered the Market Skillet Hash, which is two cage-free eggs (he ordered scrambled), seasoned potatoes, house-roasted crimini mushrooms, zucchini, shallots, red peppers, baby spinach, melted mozzarella and herbed goat cheese, along with a slice of whole grain artisan toast. I knew he liked his food because he did not talk the whole time he was eating. That is one of the only times that he does not talk, and that is when he is eating good food. I'm gonna be generous because our server made up for the hostess situation. Our server was absolutely great! She was attentive and quick! Now for the beginning....as we frequent many First Watches, we know how this goes. We got in line via the app on the way. We were given an arrival time of 1254. We arrived at 1248. Went inside and checked in with the hostess. We were then told it would be an ADDITIONAL 45-50 mins wait. Apparently at this location your wait time does not start until you arrive to check in with the hostess! We went back to the car after asking questions galore because it just didn't sit right with us. Between Maryland and Virginia we have gone to at least 6 different locations and NEVER had this issue. After being assured this is the process for this location we decided to stay because I really wanted the million dollar bacon. We were waiting in the car for about 10-15 mins before we got the text saying our table was ready. Now on to the food and service. Our server was absolutely on it!!! She made up for the whole waiting situation. The food was fresh, hot and fast. I'm not sure what their deal is with the whole checking in and getting in line on the app is but I'd appreciate it if they got that together because that can definitely make it break an experience. read more
