Located in a strip mall, but the atmosphere and Joanna Gaines inspired rustic decor inside makes up for it. Tables are spaced out, maybe a bit too much, sometimes it feels weird sitting in the middle. They have booth seats, which is probably the preferred sitting situation. Food: Great seasonal specials, the chimichurri hash and the elote hash were both delish. They also had matcha pancakes but I didn't get to try them. Regular menu items are just as great. I really like the toast, very wholesome, soft on the inside and lightly toasted to obtain a nice crisp. Lemon ricotta pancakes were ok. Drinks: coffee and water are provided by the carafe/bottle so it's nice not to have to wait for a server to refill you. I've had both juices (kale and beet), both very good and refreshing. This place and seven mile cafe (down the street) are my go to breakfast/brunch spots. read more

I ordered my food on the website and had it delivered. My drink was missing so I called the restaurant. I was told it would be delivered; however, it never came before I had to go to work. I called back and requested a refund for the drink. I was told it would be issued. I called back a week later. My refund had not been given, and I was told my whole meal would be refunded. I love First Watch, but this location was just extremely off. My waitress, Lauren, was extremely hostile towards me and my grandfather like she had some animosity built up. I asked her to replace my meal because I didn't like it. It had one bite taken out and she looked at me like I cussed her out. She had an attitude the whole time. I don't know if it's because we were the only black people in there or what. She magically had amazing energy and good vibrations every time she went to serve her table that hosted a white couple. She told me she couldn't take my meal off the receipt, but we ended up getting it off. If you go and you're black, just play it safe and ask for anyone but Lauren. read more

The food was great! It was very busy and we were skipped over for our seating, but they did apologize for having us wait so long. I've been waiting 1/2 hour for my breakfast. Place is not at all busy so no excuse. Coffe left on table in pot was cold. People who came in 20 minutes after me just got their meal. Stopped someone to ask about my meal so server came back and asked how I wanted my eggs. Same way I asked for them when I ordered them. Similar issue happened last time I came here. I don't think I will be back. Waitress just came and admitted she failed to turn in the ticket. It took guts for her to come back and take the blame herself. The wait to be seated was 30 ish minutes (which we were fine with) however, our meal ticket time was probably just as long which is too long for breakfast food in my opinion. This was our first visit after hearing raving reviews. We showed up at 9:30 on a Sunday morning and we were shown to a table straight away. Our server was delightful but it all ended there. We ordered the millionaire bacon which was supposed to have cayenne and be a bit spicy. Expecting sweet and spicy it only gave me sweet. It also only showed up at our table after 15 minutes. For a starter, 10 min should be max you have to wait. We also ordered 2 of these and they came out 5 min apart. Our table of 5, waited on our food to come out pretty soon after waiting for our app so long. Unfortunately we only got our food 15 minutes after that!!! I had ordered toast with avocado and 2 supposed to be over medium eggs. The avocado was cold, ice cold which made my very runny eggs cold! I will not be back anytime soon. My new favorite breakfast spot! Arrived during the middle of a busy Memorial Day rush, and was seated immediately. I ordered the classic eggs Benedict with a side of seasoned potatoes, and she ordered the healthy turkey omelette. The wait staff is always too busy talking amongst themselves to serve you your food in a timely fashion. Then when your food arrives cold and you complain the manager will argue with you with excuse after excuse. At least we received a refund. Have not been back and don't plan on it. Another horrible meal today. On previous visits and take more take out screw ups than we can count, we were given free meal tickets. After waiting a LONG time after the last fiasco, we decided to give them ONE LAST chance.... so today was the final straw- we waited a LONG time for our food- and got stone cold eggs, cold sandwich, barely warm waffle- YUCK! Then we go to check out- we gave them our tickets for 2 free meals- the "I have an attitude" lady at check out stomped off to ask manager about the comp tickets- then she can't figure out how to comp both meals- forcing us to PAY for the COLD food! So disappointing. I'll start off by saying we've been here a few times and loved it so much we stopped going to 7 mile, across the street. Today was different and upsetting. We knew it would be busy so we used the app to get on the waiting list. We checked in and the app and staff said it's a 10-15 min wait. 15 mins passed, 20 mins passed, 30 mins passed....the app said there was only 1 party before us. I went up to ask about being seated. The lady was rude and dismissive saying it should be soon. It was 5 of us, 2 adults and 3 kids. We saw numerous parities of 4, 5, and 6 get seated upon arrival. I went up again and asked again and was told to sit down and wait. We finally got seated after waiting for 50 mins. We had a terrible experience, it wasn't just about poor management. The treatment we experienced was offensive and discriminatory. We were the only Hispanic family and it really felt like this was the reason we were being ignored and mistreated. This spot is offering takeout during Covid. Of course nothing beats the in person experience. They make you feel safe by practicing the social distance rule and keeping the restaurant looking super clean. They treat you with the upmost respect and make you feel welcomed as soon as you walk in. Nothing symbolizes teamwork more than the First Watch team members. Everyone helps each other out so all guests are taken care of constantly and they also remain very positive. My food took less than 15 minutes to come out and it was delicious. The portion was huge, hot, and did i mention fresh! This is not your typical restaurant where you can get some food and have the same old routine experience. This is something more than that where everyone is family here. So if you're looking for a new get together breakfast or brunch hangout, First Watch is the spot! One of the best breakfast spots I've been to in a while! First off, pre book your spot on their app or nowait. We arrive and waited maybe 3 minutes (just in time to fill up the complimentary coffee you can self serve waiting for your table) before we sat down. The design is absolutely beautiful. Farmhouse style. The staff is wonderful and was quick to mention food may take a little longer because they were slammed. (It really didn't but that could have been because we were pre warned so my expectations were set in that mindset). The food is fantastic! Good prices for good portions and AMAZING flavor. I had the seasonal burrata toast, my boyfriend had the barbicoa Benedict and we split the millionaire bacon. OMG that bacon!!! I also got the strawberry smash which was super refreshing. OK, so here is the scoop....the food is AWESOME....if you can managed to get served. We were just here a week ago on a Sunday. It was NOT busy and we were seated in the little back room. Once we were seated NO LESS THAN 8 STAFF walked past us without offering a menu or getting even coffee for us. After 10 minutes we had to walk to the front to ask for service. When someone did come to take our order, the girl was lovely but distracted and seemingly just wanted to visit....I WANTED COFFEE!!! We ultimately had three different people waiting on us (not a server, food runner, etc., but three servers!) So service was very slow to say the least, unorganized, and we also noticed the two tables around us had other issues...one which was a table of 4 all got their food at separate times, causing some individuals to have to leave for their jobs, church, etc., and others sat and waiting for food. There is no getting around how differently wonderful this food is, though. And to have this in the suburbs of Dallas....well, you just normally do not see that. It IS GOOD. If you can get it. P.S. To be fair, the manager DID comp the meal for the two of us. However, when we walked to the front door and gave the bill to the checkout ladies, the woman who was seating people took it from us and just glared at us when we told her the meal was being comped. I really love the menu choices! Healthy and interesting combinations! I had the tacos which were good but disappointingly small. My daughter had scrambled eggs and a Belgium waffle. My sister and I came in for a late breakfast recently. I've been to the location in Plano and was glad to find one in flower mound where we live. When we came, it was not busy. We both just wanted water to drink. We waited several minutes and saw our waitress pass by again and we asked for water (2nd Time). "Of course!" She said. Food came. Food eaten.. no drinks. We saw her multiple times pass by with water carafes to other tables.. heck, we watched her put water on the table right behind us. We asked FIVE times to please bring us something to drink. Nothing. The food was pretty good but my sister's had some spice to it and it would've been nice to have something to drink. Needless to say, not impressed. read more
