We had a great lunch today. Their butternut squash bisque was amazing. We both enjoyed our quinoa bowl, and we liked the kale juice and morning meditation juice. We joked that we wish they had a juice "flight" so we could try all three flavors. The food was fresh and very tasty. We both wished their was more kale in the bowl- it seemed a bit sparse. The service was good, and the restrooms were clean with paper towels, which I appreciate. I would love to see them offer gluten free pancakes or waffles, especially their special flavors, such as pumpkin. But I understand that it is tough to tackle. First Watch was awesome. I've been wanting to come here for a while, but the weekends are hella busy. I recommend on the weekdays for brunch or breakfast. Coffee was freshly brewed, and they keep the maple syrup warm and ready for your waffles. I'm not one to leave negative reviews lightly, but I feel it's important to warn others--this First Watch location has gone downhill fast. We were compensated for previous mistakes, yet they *still* failed to get our order to us in a timely manner! Orders are consistently late, they don't provide all the items you order, and the service has become unacceptably poor. The staff seems uninterested in providing even basic friendliness, let alone the welcoming atmosphere First Watch used to be known for. It's incredibly frustrating to see such a decline in quality and service, and it's disappointing that this location can't seem to get it together. Had a bug frozen into one of my ice cubes in my cocktail. The bug was half moving trying to get out of the ice cube. Now how disgusting is that when you are drinking the cocktail and notice that?! When brought to the waitresses attention, she just asked to have the drink back and gave me a different one. Didn't apologize or comp the drink as they should have for a freaking bug inside the drink. Absolutely disappointed in the customer service to rectify such a bad experience. Came on a busy Sunday, the place was packed, we waited 20 minutes to be seated. I had First Watch several times in the Colorado location, loved it and so glad we have several of it in Texas location. The kale tonic- marvelous, tasted like an upgraded apple juice. My favorite go-to drink, very refreshing. Pancakes bacon and egg- cooked perfectly and the bacon has the perfect crunch. First Watch is very close to my work, so I decided to try them out for breakfast. My first visit was terrifying because I ordered Togo, my order wasn't complete since I did not check the bags! I had two bags full of two orders! When my co worker open it up, it was only one and half orders that was in the big bogus bag. I was frustrated but did care to call them. So I decided to try them again for a second chance to eat in the restaurant, which was a total outcome. The server was on point with their service, food was good, potions was too big but I liked it. I would preferred or suggest eating in the shop rather than ordering out. The owner/ manager was very involved with the running of the restaurant. I ordered the morning meditation which was very tasty, not too sweet or to watery. The pancakes were big & deliciously. The restaurant was clean and very brunch like atmosphere. I will definitely come back for another bite since Bf is my favorite meal of the day. I didn't drink the coffee but my friend said it was good. Price is okay, a little pricey when you compare it with a typical brunch places!. Will try there lunch soon, am not a lunch person. Overall, nice brunch place to eat and relax for your morning joe! We frequent both Richardson and Canyon Creek often. We walked up to the Richardson location today at 2:15 and we were met in the parking lot to be told they were closed. The doors and sites say 2:30. So we went to the a canyon creek location. We waited in the lobby for a while and then someone came up and told us the kitchen is closed. Again, doors say 2:30. We come to bother these locations a lot and with large groups of people. This will stop. I am going onto social media and yelp to also let everyone know this. Hours should read 2:00 not 2:30 if your kitchen's closed at 2:15. We no longer will bring our families here nor hold our business meetings here. Update: the management contacted me via phone call and email very quickly. They spoke to me and asked questions and apologized. Also, they sent a hand written apology asking if we'd give them a second chance and sent some gift certificates. I must say for as upset as I was, I didn't think that anything to this magnitude of them hoping to rectify things would've happened. We will be giving them a second chance. Decent casual brunch spot with nice interior and good food. This is my go-to typical brunch spot in the Richardson area. The prices are very reasonable and the food is filling, depending on what you get. Based on pictures, they renovated it since they have opened and I feel like it adds a nice touch to the whole dining experience. There is enough light inside the restaurant so it gives off a refreshing morning brunch feel. There is usually a wait when it comes to typical brunch times on weekends, but they have an app where you can get in line. My friend used that and I thought it was super cool and innovative of them! They have seasonal menus if you ever get tired of their normal menu. I really want their shrimp and grits to come back cause that's something on the seasonal menu that I missed and would like to try. You can also view their menu and calories on their website. I've only had the elevated egg sandwich and trifecta, which includes the Belgian waffle, two fried eggs, and two turkey sausages. Elevated egg sandwich: I had it a while back but I remember it being very good. I love eggs and avocados so if you put those two things together, it's heaven for me. The bread had a slight sweetness to it. The whole meal is very filling. Also, one great thing about here is that I was able to swap out my potatoes for a salad without extra charge! I love it when restaurants can accommodate my needs...without an extra price tag. Trifecta: Oh man, the waffle was crispy and light, so it wasn't too heavy to take it. And the syrup that came with it was warm! It was a very delightful surprise. I actually ended up dipping the waffle with the raspberry jam along with the whipped butter, and that was very tasty as well. Nothing too spectacular about the turkey sausage. But eggs are always good in my books haha You can request how you like your eggs. Brought a group of friends (6) of us after a long 45 minute + wait outside in the heat. We where all excited since none of us had been here before. We all climbed into a booth. Beverages served and waiting for our brunch even though the day started with breakfast. Over 30 minutes and 2 of the 6 food came out cold to touch but just happy to see food. Over the next 15 minutes the next 4 plates came to the table. It was very difficult for these southern ladies to wait until all served before picking up your fork, as your food sat in front of you getting cold. We insisted and since mine was the last to arrive I felt some what responsible for their prolonged hunger. Wait staff were busy no eye contact no apologies for the food coming out slow. Now let's review the food. 6 different dishes. I had egg sandwich came with some potatoes, due to the cold food left the side on the plate, egg sandwich was yummy with avocado and bacon on a soft bun. The health wrap with fruit I heard was good. Tacos, omelette, frittata, along with avocado toast was all good never heard great or delicious out of one of them. Leftovers where left this group usually takes everything home. So my rating is two stars as the young man on cashier was nice, wait staff slow and uninviting or welcoming to the group. Food good cold but okay. I'd recently heard about First Watch & instead of visiting my Sunday morning regular, we decided to visit. The dining room is bright and open and the hostesses & wait staff were cheery. I ended up ordering the Farmhouse Hash bowl; tender seasoned potatoes with bacon cheese & onions, covered in 2 eggs your way and I chose scrambled. It came with multigrain toast & fresh fruit. I also ordered a banana granola crunch pancake to go with it. The warm syrup was a perfect touch! It was a lot of food & all of it was really good! First Watch is by far my favorite brunch place in DFW. I love this location in particular and have brought friends and family here. The service is great, even when it's busy. The longest I've waited for a table is about 30 minutes (the wait times can get crazy unfortunately, but I would recommend checking in online to save you time), but they have a coffee station for you to drink at while you wait, so that's nice. Servers are all great, always greeted with a smile. However, if you come during a rush, expect the food to take a while. The food is great! I've had all the benedict variations, the elevated egg sandwich, frittata, tri-fecta, the pumpkin pancake plate....can you tell I like to come here? Lol. The seasoned potatoes are a must with any of the meals you get, they're fantastic Overall, great and transparent restaurant. The prices are reasonable ($12 and under) and the calorie counts are listed, so you can decide if you're going to be mindful or if you're going to pig out :-) enjoy! read more

Overall, just your typical breakfast spot, there wasn't anything that really separated first watch from any other breakfast spot. The food was average. It was by no means bad. The blueberry pancakes were good, but a little lacking in flavor without the syrup. I did not care for the sausage links, there wasn't much flavor, que the cholula (hot sauce) ha. I also was not a fan of the tangerine dream drink as it was very tart, but my wife absolutely loved it. The service was good we were greated with a smile and waitress was prompt and made us feel comfortable eating here. Overall, I give it a 7.1 out of 10. We enjoyed the food here, but a few things made this a 3 star over 4 stars. The service was friendly but SO SLOW. The waiter took a long time to arrive and bring stuff and the food really took a long time. We also had food coming out at different times which always bothers me. The other issue was that we had dirty glasses at our table, as in they set what were supposed to be clean glasses but they were dirty. I asked for clean glasses and got greasy glasses instead. That just made wonder what goes on in the kitchen. As for the food, we did enjoy it. I asked for the egg on my sandwich to be cooked medium well and they cooked it correctly, something many struggle with. The potatoes on the side were so crispy and oniony and delicious. There were two other tables with patrons. Jenny was our hostess, and she was awesome! She took the time to explain the menu and drinks. She had a coffee, the trifecta and a side of grits.
