I have been here the last 3 Saturdays with my boyfriends family and each time it's been excellent from the servers to the food to the presentation! I was unsure of the first watch because I was used to the good egg but they did a fantastic job with the restaurant! The food is fresh, hot and delicious! The avocado toast was fresh and lemony the chicken quinoa bowl healthy and flavorful! I can't wait to go back next Saturday! Athena the gm take a lot of pride in her job and you can tell! First watch is one of my favorite restaurants in Phoenix the food is excellent and the service is outstanding

We paid $26 for 2 very mediocre breakfasts. Both had combo with 2 eggs, 2 sausage that were overcooked and one large very average pancake. Mom ordered coffee and a side of potatoes that were not quite golden and simply had a little seasoning so not worth $3! 2 sausages were overcooked and had to be replaced but never should have made it on our plates. Very expensive for the low end food we got, no need to return. Only good point was good waitress. read more

INCREDIBLE! Extensive menu with all sorts of choices from meat to vegan. I had the Market Hash (two eggs any style atop a hash of fresh, seasoned potatoes, house-roasted Crimini mushrooms, zucchini, onions and red peppers with spinach, melted mozzarella and herbed goat cheese, included a small bowl of fresh fruit and excellent multi-grain toast with jam). Shared a carrot pancake with REAL maple syrup (an upgrade but so worth it) (and most restaurants don't even offer it). Fresh squeezed OJ. Even decent coffee and I'm a bit of a coffee snob. This was my first visit and it was a nice one. Not spectacular, but "nice." A pleasant, clean, and bright decor with a very friendly staff. The menu features breakfast all day, sandwiches, soups and salads with many "fresh" options. I had the Farmhouse breakfast skillet-potatoes, avocados and tomatoes topped with two fried eggs. It was good. Since I've eaten there only once, I can give it just 3 stars. My overall opinion is that it has the feel, menu look, and food quality of a good chain. I prefer more unique places so I probably won't eat there too often but for a quick, dependable breakfast or lunch, this is a good choice. read more

My family and I eat here every Sunday. There is many people waiting to be seated on Sundays but the staff do an amazing job at running things smooth. They have the freshest ingredients in everything you order and the food is so well plated it looks like something out of a magazines. Its so beautiful. One of my favorites is the oatmeal, depending on what day you come will determine what muffin you get with it. Every time I happen to go I end up with the lemon poppy seed muffin. The staff is amazing and attentive and kind. The manager is very caring and curtious to customers and employees at least thats what I have observed. Highly recommend to all! read more

I came here because a friend recommended it for being a bomb "organic" spot. I went on a busy Sunday afternoon. The wait was 15 minutes but went by fast. They don't have a lot of places to sit outside which sucked because it was so hot. When we finally got seated our waiter was right there asking for drinks. The waiter was so funny and on it. The menu is very versatile with breakfast, lunch, and seasonal choices. I had the pumpkin pancake and bf had the chimichanga thing. Food came out pretty fast. At first the servings didn't seem that big (considering its almost $10 a plate) but it was very filling & the quality is great. Coffee was okay but their kale juice is AMAZING. Order it with little or no ice because its not worth $3.99 when half of it is ice. Overall my experience was great. This joint is a little pricey and a more healthy "organic" conscious option. If thats what you are looking for i highly recommend. 4 stars because their bathroom seemed a bit rundown. read more

Hands down the breakfast in Tucson. We came here on a Sunday and had to wait maybe 15 minutes but it's well worth the wait. The host told us about the first watch app so we can add our name to the list next time to help cut down on the wait time. I had the power breakfast bowl and it was super good. My wife had the lemon pancakes and she loved them. Food was awesome and so was the service, what else can you ask for. We will be making this our weekly sunday breakfast spot. read more

Great food and great customer service! Love the decor too. Would have given a five star if it wasn't for the loud music! Softer, preferably instrumental music is so much better. When you go out to eat and paying good money, you want good ambiance too. I had brunch on Sunday at First Watch. My food arrived cold. Cold bacon, cold potatoes, cold eggs. It clearly had been sitting for quite some time. I let my waiter know and he said "ok" and took my plates away. When he brought back new plates, he said, "here you go." No apology, no excuse, no attempt to make sure I was happy, nothing. So I complained upon checkout at the register. And was met with apathy. The cashier offered to get the manager, which I declined, thinking it wasn't really necessary. Then the cashier asked, "what would you have me do, ma'am?" I told him to enlighten his co-worker or tell him to find a new type of employment. What do they teach servers? Clearly not customer satisfaction. read more

Came here today for breakfast with my husband and my sister from out of town. We had a coupon and wanted to see if we would like this place as another choice for going out to breakfast. First impressions: nice decor and comfortable, ample seating. There's also plenty of outdoor seating. Prices are reasonable, and the staff are very nice. PROS: The waiter brings you a carafe of coffee and quart bottle of cold water. The menu has several healthy choices that sounded appetizing. The multi-grain pancakes were very good, and large. Syrup was warm. Multigrain toast was good (I wasn't offered a choice of what kind of bread I wanted for toast, but I did like what was served). My ham and cheese omelette was very good, and the regular coffee was better than diner coffee. My seasoned potatoes were delicious. CONS: Decaf coffee tasted burned! (The waiter did bring us more regular coffee and took back the decaf.) Side order of bacon was tasteless. Entrees were served just warm enough that we didn't send them back. Would have been nicer if warmer. Prices on beverages were not listed on the menu. Why not??? read more

I have eaten at this location for over four years and before when it was The Good Egg. The manager before recently was Athena and she was promoted and moved to the Grant and Swan location the manager at the Broadway Williams Center is great also. This is the first time I have gone to the Sopedway location since the new Manager Jason took over. We had a group meet for breakfast and we had a new waiter. I ordered a Kale tonic and it was served in the little water glass. I told the waiter that is not the way I have ever received it. He said it was the way his manager told him. I look over and people are being served orange juice in a regular glass whick is cheaper than the tonic. I did not understand why all of a sudden this drink which is expensive over $4 is served in a little water glass is not worth it. I asked to speak to the manager and he came over. He said that is the way it has always come. I told him I have been there since they opened and have never had it served like that. He asked me who gave it to him and I told him my favorite waiter Curtis and the manager Althena and a couple from the Broadway location. He said thank you for telling me now I can get them written up for breaking the rules and letting customers have unrealistic expectations. I told him they treated cistomers much better than he was. I told him fine I just wont come back. He said it didnt matter if I came back he has plenty of customers and smiled. I told him he could leave and he smiled and I told him he was a terrible manager and asked his name and he said it was Jasonand laughed and told me to have a nice day. I have never been treated so badly in a place I frequent regular and I wont go back ever. They have lost customers. read more

My first time here. I always drove by this place and thought it must be an excellent restaurant as it is always busy with lines of people waiting to get in. I had a simple order of extra crispy hash browns and a side of sausage.. my hash browns arrived after 30 minutes of waiting and they were black. I couldn't believe that someone would actually serve them to a customer. The waitress said to us "does everything look right?" I said no, if I wanted burnt hash browns I would have asked for them that way. She offered to have them redone but I didn't want to wait another 30 minutes. Not impressed at all. read more

My family and I went to this restaurant today to grab a quick bite. The atmosphere was nice, clean, and well designed. The food there was delicious and the servings were a good proportion. The service was another story, Mike our waiter was not very helpful and only took our order. Other wait staff brought out our food, so they didn't know who had ordered what. Mike never returned to ask us how we were doing or if we needed anything, he left it up to the other employees while him and another girl stood behind the hostess counter and gossiped. So stop by for the food but not the customer service. read more
