First time here. Ordered Seafood Platter with fried catfish, fried oysters and fried shrimp. The catfish was very tasty, however the fried shrimp in that platter, the taste had an intense gamey flavor. As for the oysters, I don't think I'll order it fried ever again. Although, we ordered the Jumbo Lump Crab Cake and it was very tasty as well. Maybe we'll be back to try more!!! read more

First and foremost, the female bartender this evening with the ponytail needs to work on her people skills. Wasn't too excited to see her at the bar after our last visit when she took the lemon off my friends tea glass and proceeded to make faces the entire time she remade a fresh one but it was a new day. She was paying no attention to the people at the bar and it seemed the gentleman was doing all the work. The chargrilled oysters were spot on but rung up wrong on our ticket but corrected. Just came to this location for the first time with an out of town friend and what an amazing experience! Fernando greeted and sat us. He asked if we had been here before and my friend had not. Kimberly promptly took our order and then Fernando returned with a sampler of all the soups and an oyster nacho for my friend and I to try. It was a nice little tasting. Then he also returned again with some spicy shrimp thing that was amazing! We got the oyster nachos, shrimp nachos, queso and fried pickles. Everything was served hot and fresh and tasted amazing. The service being amazing on top of the amazing food was a really lovely bonus. Would highly recommend this place to anybody thinking about it and great for gluten allergy or sensitivity as most items that are breaded use cornmeal! read more

The restaurant is new to Prosper and a great addition to the area. I am delighted to share that the service was great. First off the restaurant is very clean and classily decorated. The selection of drinks are yummy and they have a great full bar. I'm gluten free and they were so accommodating and even offered a gluten free menu. The entire staff was so friendly and cheery. I was able to have clam chowder for the first time in over 5 years because they make theirs with corn starch. Their food is outstanding. Even the cheapest oysters were fantastic and fresh. Shrimp and grits were delicious. Our bartender Bryan was super sweet, knowledgeable and a joy to interact with. The manager on duty was always present and helping the staff with a great attitude and witty quips. We will definitely be back even though we live 35 minutes away. read more

It was my first time visiting the FCG, so I was excited to try it after reading the great reviews. I went in around 3pm, so I was pleasantly surprised that happy hour had just started. I asked for a happy hour menu and ordered a drink, some chargrilled oysters, and shrimp nachos. Since I expressed that it was my first time at the restaurant, my waitress Kimberly gave me a soup sampling with the four soups the restaurant serves. They were all really good! I was greedy because that ended up being a lot of food! The Titos lemonade was excellent. I was really enjoying the oysters until I almost broke my tooth on one that had a few pieces of the shell inside. That really slowed me down. But I was still waiting on my nachos. The waitress waited to bring the nachos. Not sure if they weren't ready or if she put them in later. As soon as I thought about asking, they came out. The chips ended up being a bit soggy.....still tasty though. However, I prefer crunchy chips. The restaurant was not busy at all. I frequent this eatery with my sister on Friday July 12, 2024. This was our 2nd time since they open in Prosper. Their staff, service & ambiance is spot on. Being that I know about favor and taste of seafood dishes, the gumbo was not good at all. It was too dark, salty and no favor or shall I say no taste of seafood. I lived in New Orleans for many years and learned the secret of preparing delicious tasting GUMBO. Now They had a new mix drink that I tried called Black Southern something with fresh blackberries, and it was delicious. I also had the Shrimp & Crab Stuffed Flounder, it was good but the veggies and white rice was not so good. The rice should have been rice pilaf (more of a brown rice). I did speak with the manager about the gumbo and he was very receptive. My sister and I will dine there again but will have to try other dishes. read more

We tried Fish City Grill for the first time today and really enjoyed it! Because it was our first time there, we were given sample tastings of their soups and their oyster nachos - all were delicious. I ordered the Honey Chipotle Shrimp Tacos which were great and had just the right of "kick". Hubby had the fish and chips which he thought were great as well. He also recommends their Bloody Mary . The manager stopped by our table several times to check on us and make sure that we had everything we wanted. Cute decor and very clean. We'll definitely be back!! read more
