This place offers takeout and very responsive service. Menu is easy to navigate and the food is good. I would highly recommend the shrimp pasta with pink sauce. This is actually my second time coming here-- first time was a takeout of the garlic butter grilled mahi mahi. Portions were huge (turned into two meals for me) and the fish was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Usually I'm not a fan of zucchini but I couldn't stop eating them! The coleslaw was a refreshing side for the meal. This time around I wanted to try the fish tacos, and I'm so happy I ordered them! The chipotle sauce matches so well with the juicy fish. Delicious! We'll definitely be back! I had grilled white fish with brown rice & zucchini, husband went for grilled mahi-mahi with zucchini & cole slaw. Perfectly grilled pieces of fish and generous servings. We both opted for the garlic butter sauce. Took home an order of pasta & shrimp w/garlic butter for a family member. She said it was very good but wished there were more shrimp (don't we all?) I thought the ratio of shrimp to pasta was spot on. I ordered pick up from Fish Daddy and when I got there to pickup my food I watched the cook and the server pick up the food with no gloves or any kind of barrier between them and the food. Being a healthcare professional I tend to notice these small things an in this time of COVID people in an out of the food industry really need to be conscious of their action so they can reduce the spread of COVID. I was pleasantly surprised! I don't know why fish and chips I get nervous ordering because they're either going to be really good or really bad. These fish and chips were delicious! Even tho I called a take out order and drove home they were still warm and crispy, not soggy at all. Also tarter sauce was homemade not out of a bottle which always tastes better. It is very difficult to find a good fish place in OC area, so to have one so close by is great. My favorite is fried catfish nuggets dipped in Louisiana hot sauce which they DON'T HAVE, but they do have good fried catfish which they are willing to cut in half. I have had much better at P&G fish market in LBC and family fish market in carson, but in my part of town of Fullerton there is nothing like it and since this is a type of food I really like I will give it a 5 stars. If you are willing to drive to Carson(family fish market) then you will get the best catfish nuggets, hands down, BUT again to have something so close is great. I have been here about 4 to 5 times and I've ordered the fried catfish cut in half and then I dip it in the tobacco sauce, they have there . I also ordered the jumbo shrimp garlic style which is pretty good too with the zucchinis. Oh and the service was great too. Tried this place out for the first time and gotta say I was disappointed. I got the fried catfish, which was really good. I got the side of clam chowder but it was more of potatoes chowder as it didn't have any clams in it. Might try the fish tacos some other time. read more

Well this is a new place in our neighborhood so we thought we would try it out. If it is good then it would be close and convenient. Well our FIRST ORDER and they GOT IT WRONG! They were very busy for sure, probably people like me trying it out, however if you are a new establishment you should expect the influx and staff accordingly. My husband said the cashier person was rude and seemed to reflect that she was doing us a favor by allowing us to pay them for this food. We ordered 2 fish and chips which come with 2 sides. My husbands was correct mine was not. The fish was flakey and crunchy, a bit bland though. No tarter sauce/malt vinegar offered/included. Plus the fries were unevenly cooked and hard, the only good thing was that there are very few of these cold hard inedible fries. The runny cole slaw dressing made the fries and fish soggy. Not good. My husband order the clam chowder, good taste but lumpy like gravy instead of chowder and very few actual clams. $3.99-Way overpriced "cup" of mediocre soup. I am glad our friends were unable to come with us to try this place, that would have been embarrassing!! Disappointing 1st, and last, visit. Fish Daddy Grill definitely has room for improvement. Walked by this place plenty of times and me and my girlfriend finally tried it. And am I glad we did! We got the shrimp tacos and shrimp Rosé. Shrimp was prepared to perfection. Sauce was on point.
