I stopped by here after seeing the signs for months that this restaurant was opening. I live in Anaheim so I'm used to going to Teppanyaki when I want my Chinese buffet craving fulfilled. But since I go to Costco often, I had seen Flaming Buffet and was intrigued to try. After stopping by to try for lunch one day, I think I have decided to stick with Teppanyaki and not explore elsewhere anymore until I hear good things about them here on Yelp. Flaming Buffet was terrible, one of the worst buffets I've ever been to. The food here is awful. Nothing has seasoning and everything tastes bland. The mongolian grill was the only thing that didn't taste terrible, but even it needed more seasoning and was bland. I'm by no means someone with picky tastes or even a dulled palate. I'm not asking for exceptional flavors or seasonings here, just a little salt would have sufficed. I tried almost everything in the buffet from the soups to the clams/shrimp/fish to the sushi to the mongolian grill to the Chinese staples like fried rice, lo mein, crab rangoons, and orange chicken. I would not go back for any of it. The service here was also terrible. The waitress sat me at the beginning of my meal and filled my water once. I never saw anyone again until I had to chase someone down to ask for my bill. Yes, this buffet is cheap, but you get what you paid for. I'd much rather spend a few extra dollars to go to a buffet where the food actually makes me want to come back. read more

Great price point but I wouldn't come back again! Came here because extended family wanted to eat here. They mix their newer ingredients with old ingredients. With two large rooms and one small area seating, this place carries more than 200 customers, which is pretty impressive. It is always clean and the staff work very diligently. Also, you can see them including the manager of the restaurant constantly wiping, sweeping and refilling the food stations. The service is also excellent. Whatever you ask, they will get it for you. Also, the drinks are always filled. They give you fork and spoon as utensils so if you need chopsticks, you need to ask for it. The restaurant closes at 9pm and I walked in at 8pm on Saturday. That was not a problem and they seated me immediately. I was a little bit worried that there will be only left overs at the food station but they were bringing in and filling up with fresh made foods nonstop, which relieved me immediately. I would say that their sushi selections were very limited, the sushi rice didn't have any flavors and the rest of the Chinese foods such as orange chicken, beef and broccolis, jalapeno chicken, etc. were very salty. However, the variety of the selections were great. Also, they have a grill station where you can bring all the meats, vegetables, noodles/rice, etc. and have their staff stir fry it for you, which is not only entertaining to watch but also unique. The food selection is similar to Asia Buffet, but didnt see any crawfush, crab, crablegs, fried calamari, baked shrimp or bake salmon like in Asia Buffet or Four Seasons buffet or hokaido. It's nice to have a Chinese buffet in fullerton again. The decor is beautiful and restaurant is very clean. The food was good, not great, but solid if you're craving a variety of food. My personal favorites were the fried chicken sticks, and the salt and pepper shrimp. The green beans were really good. The desserts were a good selection. Haven't been to a buffet in a long time and I was very impressed with their food selection and hospitality. Everything was hot and fresh. The Angus Beef, BBQ ribs, Dumplings, and Chicken skewers were delicious. The seafood was amazing! They have about 5 different ways they prepared the shrimp. I piled a plate full of veggies, both noodles and some pork chops. I had them use Teriyaki and garlic sauces. It was absolutely YUMMY!! And fun to watch them scoot it around the hot grill while it sizzles and smells so good!! My hubby and I shared it. There was a huge salad bar, appetizer bar, seafood bar, noodle and rice bar, 4 different soups, pepperoni pizza, garlic bread, baked salmon, chicken, Mac & cheese, a huge sushi bar, and, of course, a dessert bar! Food and ambiance was very good, but service was deplorable. My Korean wife and her friend had not seen each other in over a year and wanted to enjoy lunch and catch up on lost time. After lunch as they visited we were asked to leave. We were informed that our booth was needed. We were totally shocked. We have been there many times and have seen others stay long after their meals were finished and visit. As we exited the buffet, I did not see a que in the waiting area, i then conducted a walk thru of the eating area and noticed that were were numerous vacant stations. My wife and her friend were so insulted by this disrespectful treatment, they have decided to not return and will inform their senior friends that apparently elderly people are not welcome. This place just opened up so I'm hoping the work out the kinks. Food is typical Chinese buffet offering a variety of beef, chicken, and seafood dishes. These include Salt and pepper soft shell crab, Cajun seafood mix with mussels and shrimp, crawfish, shrimp stir fry, and spicy fried fish. Some of the other dishes include honey walnut shrimp, jalapeño chicken, teriyaki chicken, broccoli beef. It is the exact same layout as buffets in this location so nothing new there. They offer a teppanyaki style freshly prepared buffet however they need to retrain the gentleman on the grill as he undercooked my meat and my noodles and veggies were soaked in blood. There is a "sushi" section which mostly consists of California rolls with imitation crab on top or avocado. Desserts were run of the mill and most likely from a supplier. However, when the check arrived, I was charged an additional dollar. They explained that they recently had raised their price. And would not honor the advertised price in the ad. This buffet restaurant has changed management often through the years. With the latest change in management, I had hoped that it would be an improvement from my last experience. Upon walking in, I thought the interior design was pretty nice. We were seated immediately. I liked that they had hand sanitizers and disposable gloves at every food station. Unfortunately, a lot of customers did not use them before serving themselves. There were quite a bit of customers coughing and sneezing throughout the restaurant - a risk of eating at a buffet place.
