Turns out it was from a previous repair and the unit had a full charge of freon which indicated it was not low on Freon due to a leak. The service call was $80 instead of a new unit. Then after the rapid install of a name brand unit with a 10 year warranty the final bill was significantly less than his original estimate. He left everything neat and cleaned up. We recently had another HVAC company come out because our AC stopped working. After running their…read morediagnostics, they told us we needed to replace our entire system--including the air handler, condenser, and even add another air return. To make matters worse, they said they couldn't turn the system back on and that we might have to wait until Monday for a full system replacement. This all happened on the Wednesday before the Fourth of July, with temperatures well into the triple digits. We have five kids and two dogs, and the thought of going several days without air conditioning was overwhelming. Thankfully, we decided to get a second opinion and called Airtime Cooling & Heating. Jacob came out, started his own evaluation without us telling him what the first company had diagnosed, and quickly impressed us. He simply turned the system back on, ran his own diagnostics, and gave us his honest opinion. His conclusion was completely different--our system did not need to be replaced. Not only did he get our AC running again, but he also took the time to explain what he believed had happened, what to watch for if it occurred again, and even walked us through how to troubleshoot it ourselves. That kind of honesty, education, and customer service is incredibly rare. Instead of facing what could have been a very expensive and unnecessary replacement, we paid for a diagnostic visit, got our AC back, and gained confidence in our system. Because of this experience, we've switched from our previous HVAC company to Airtime Cooling & Heating for all of our future maintenance and service. If Jacob is any indication of the quality of their technicians, they have earned a customer for life. Jacob was truly a 10 out of 10. The guy on the phone initially told me that the earliest appointment would be the next day, but he was able to find Jacob who was in the area and would be able to stop by in 1-2 hours. Jacob arrived and diagnosed the problem pretty quickly. He explained what was wrong (capacitor needed replacement) and then explained how he was going to fix it. He was very patient, made sure everything was up and running and made sure all our questions were answered before he left. Thank you to Jacob and Airtime for saving us from the heat!

Last time (a couple years ago), Flores also showed up quickly and repaired our unit, was so helpful and did a great job accommodating our budget as best as he could. Both experts felt safe and professional. So, I was getting a new dryer and decided it would be a good time to clean out my dryer lint vent…read more I ordered a kit with a round brush and some flexible rods that you attach to a drill and feed through the vent to clean out the lint. Sounds simple enough, right? So the flexible rods that screw together unfortunately separate while I'm using the drill and the brush and several of the rods are stuck inside the duct. I watch a YouTube video explaining how to remove it (it apparently happens frequently) by buying additional rods and attaching a "corkscrew" made from a wire hanger which you feed into the duct by hand to hopefully "grab" onto the brush and pull it out. You guessed it, that got stuck too. I called King Air Duct Cleaning and Lance (the owner) assured me that he understood the issue and he would be able to squeeze me in so I could start using my new dryer. Lance was here this morning and he was amazing. Within 20 minutes he had both of the pieces removed from the duct and all of the built-up lint cleared. Then he hooked up my new dryer, tested the airflow and assured me everything was good to go! And the cost was about 1/3 of what I thought it would be! Highly recommended!!!

"Responding back to comments "You had on going multiple leaks in your shower wall and we explained to you the wall had excessive amount of water damages and needed to be opened up to not only find and fix all the leaking pipes but to properly drain out so mold and mildew did not start growing. You reused and said you did not have the money to pay for it at this time, and told use you only wanted to replace the shower valve." The wall behind the shower never had water damage or mold before I turned on the shower have pics and will include. There is actually still no mold. I actually did have the money to replace the kitchen valve under the sink, but after moving the sink back and forth I felt it wasn't worth it. The shower is still not sealed properly. "We also, was able to have our partner water remediation company set up their drying equipment complimentary since you didn't have the money to pay for their services either." I do appreciate that and they did a good job. I also understand you don't do drywall repair, however I though I should not have been responsible. The leak was right at the valve that was replaced and not at the elbow below. The tech was the last person to work on this and it should have been tested thoroughly. the first time I turn on the shower it starts leaking into my ceiling which never happened before. In addition since I wasn't home on the final repair I am not sure if water was ever ran on it. You do not maintain your home and have multiple issues going on everywhere you turn. "Your kitchen faucet and drain assembly was leaking and destroyed the cabinet. We actually replaced all the drain assembly and installed a complimentary soap dispenser along with the kitchen faucet which we had to modify the under side of the counter top because you would not get the proper faucet with long shanks to install on to the oversize counter top." The cabinet was damaged before buying the house, However i am just talking about the mounting nuts not placed on properly. "These are not our finish installation pictures of installed parts, these are your old components. We have pictures of components installed properly and don't look anything like these. " The pictures are recent and even now the grey stuff is still around it and not sealed properly. Having experts come out next week. "Every once in a while we have a dishonest customer that thinks by leaving a bad review we will provide our services for free and you are that dishonest customer. You should put more consideration into maintaining your home instead of trying to hurt someone that went above and beyond for you." Not trying to hurt you by any means. Just trying to get this fixed and done with. Dishonest customer really. I paid $1400 to fix and after it was done the first time I turn on my shower and water is coming down from my ceiling. read more

DO NOT USE! Never had a business owner (Chris) try to BULLY me and THREATEN me before. I called Flush King to come see why the plumbing at a rental I manage was backing up. The employee was nice kept me informed and gave me a solution I said ok. He asked for a card, didn't have it on me so I said I would pay later bc I was driving to a meeting 3 hours away in Flagstaff. He said ok. Less than 20 min after he finished and for the next 24 hours I received threatening and angry messages from the owner Chris trying to bully me or intimidate me into paying. (See Photos of texts). I replied multiple times to different people texting me that I was driving back from my meeting and that I would make sure to pay in a reasonable time. This was Friday afternoon, Saturday I had a funeral and again from 6am continuous calls and threatening msgs. All while I am being polite and telling them they will be paid I just have a lot going on and have not had the chance to pay online or get to my home laptop or go talk to the tenants to make sure the problem was fixed or not. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I don't even know if they did a good job, they only care about money! read more

A few months ago we had noticed our water bill had gone up dramatically, so we searched around the property to find what looked to be a leak from the water main. We called up a few companies, but Chris at Flush King stood out. He answered promptly, was extremely knowledgeable, honest, and helpful in assessing the situation. The cost for the repair was excellent, and the warranty was the best. Replacing our riser and making it much better was part of the cost and more than fair. After scheduling the repair with them, they came out the next day right on time. Chris was there to get things going. The rest of the crew was led by Rich and AJ who were also awesome. They took pictures throughout the process, and we really felt like they were taking good care of the situation. After it was all done, Rich walked us through everything we wanted to know from the pictures to how our new riser worked. It was a great experience for an otherwise stressful situation. I needed a plumber bad last week in Gilbert off baseline at my home. I was doing a load of laundry and when I got out the shower everything had backed up all over my kitchen, hallway bathroom and laundry room. I called and don picked up the phone unlike the other companies that did not answer. He said they would be there right away. They got to my house in 25 minutes and figured out the problem right away. They found a broken drain under my home. I thought omg home much is this going to cost. But he said don't worry I will work with your home owners insurance to get this all fixed for you. I didn't think my insurance would cover that. But they did and he even has his other company he dose business with come out and clean up all the water damage to my home and clean and sanitize my home. Then I asked him why he was not on yelp. I am absolutely delighted to find a plumbing company that exceeds expectations in their service. I called Scottsdale Rooter Plumbers (aka Flush King Plumbing and Rooter) when looking for a company to replace my hot water heater. Rich was at my house within an hour to assess what needed to be done, and in coordination with Chris had a replacement 75 gallon water heater at my house ready for install in another hour. Within three hours, I was back in business with abundant hot water. This team improved on the previous installation of a hot water heater by providing a pan and piping under the tank to catch any possible future leaks, provided a check valve on the recirculating pump which was missing from a previous install, and gave me valuable information on homeowner maintenance to keep this tank operable beyond the guarantee date. If you need a trust worthy, honest, dependable, reliable plumber these are the guys. If you want things done properly the first time and efficiently these are your guys. If you're thinking to be cheap .. I'd probably suggest re thinking your life style especially with your plumbing .... trust you want it done right the first time !! Honestly, these guys are amazing. We moved in our house in November and within 12 hours our plumbing backed up. Flushkings was out here at 10pm with their camera to find our issues. Highly recommend, we are having issue with the toilet, it won't flush. I requested a service quote and Chris was extremely helpful, he responded immediately and within 30 minutes he showed up to fix the issue. He tried his best to run a snake down to solve the problem but it wasn't what I explained it, but he didn't want to accept the payment because he didn't fix the issue however he offer solution to run a camera through to find out the problem which most likely is a city of Scottsdale issue. Chris and his team are the best there is in my opinion. I have yet to call them and they were not here within a couple of hours. I had experiences where I could not get someone to even answer the phone. I had a wedding for my daughter in my back yard with about 120 guest. I had port-a-potty's delivered but was still worried. I have had Chris come to my house on three occasions: (1) a flooding emergency (burst pipe!) (2) a non-emergency situation involving a clogged pipe, and (3) some fixture upgrades. The guys from Donny's are great - I can't recommend them highly enough. My water heater died and they saved the day. A couple days later, when a part on the new unit was determined to be faulty (manufacturer's fault, not the fault of anybody from Donny's), the guys from Donny's came out again to address the issue. We had an outside spigot that was corroded and started leaking gallons of water. Contacted Flush King through yelp and they immediately responded. While…read morethe cause of my leak seems to be resolved (at least for now) it did bother me that I took the time to ask several times with the dispatcher "Taneea"(sp) and she said there was no fee to diagnose and I kept asking are you sure because in order to see where the leak is coming from my bathroom upstairs from the shower and where it settling we need to look at the pipes underneath where the drywall is and that involves cutting the ceiling drywall. And I asked her again several times if there's any charge for leak tracing or anything she was leaving out just to look and see before repairing and she said no, there's no diagnostic charge. They get here and tell me it's gonna be $125 just to cut the drywall and I just don't understand how there can be such a disparity between what I verified by phone and what I was being told now. And even if I give them the benefit of the doubt that the dispatcher was mistaken (though that's something very strange for a dispatcher who works for and represents a company to say, if not true) the fact that she did tell me that clearly, you would think to keep a customer they would stand by their own word, so not a great first impression. I still paid them $455 to change the cartridge in my shower, but they would not take five or ten minutes to cut up two 6"x6" holes in the drywall and look inside to see if there's any other extensive damage or leaking. I may just leave it for now and keep an eye for any signs of staining or moisture rather than deal with drywall repair. I still will inspect around the electrical where the ceiling fan canopy is and remove it from the ceiling to see if there's any water damage to the fan and light fixture or if it can be salvaged and still works once all is dry and I can restore power to the room. But they refused to look for any signs below to ensure there were no other signs of a leak unless I paid more. Another thing is with a large hole behind the shower faucet escutcheon where the leak occurred what's to keep another cartridge from failing and leaking right down into the room below and getting into the electrical and drywall and ruining another ceiling fan? I wish they'd have taken the time to tell me how to seal off that wall behind the faucet handle or given me suggestions but they just kind of did their job and left. They didn't offer me any advice or tips to prevent this again or set my mind at ease, and taking the time to do that would have made me feel more "taken care of" and built a rapport as a new customer. They just wanted to do the job I asked and go. So while I have no other complaints so far, they didn't go the extra mile or make me feel reassured at all for such a serious issue. It was just a "job" to cross of their list and not spend a second longer than necessary to show, discuss or reassure.

This time…read moreI needed help fixing a leak in my home's exterior main water line, and Yelp helped me find a few reliable plumbing companies. I received several responses with quotes, and Desert Water Plumbing and Rooter was the first company to reach out. I contacted them around 5 PM on Wednesday, and they were able to schedule a free estimate for Friday. Dan Burke showed up right on time. He was professional, efficient, and easy to talk to. Like the other companies I spoke with, he recommended repiping as the best solution for the long run. He gave me an estimate for the project and also mentioned that if the office couldn't schedule the repair on Monday, he could stop by to do a quick temporary fix to stop the leak and then come back when they could finish the job. I really appreciated that because I don't like wasting water. The price Dan quoted was also very reasonable compared to the other companies. After thinking it over, I decided to go with Desert Water Plumbing and Rooter and called the office to schedule the appointment. They weren't able to do the repipe on Monday but scheduled it for Tuesday. Dan did come by on Monday to help temporarily stop the leak. Then he and his team came back Tuesday morning and started the project. Everything went smoothly. My house now has a new pipe, no more leaking, and it feels great knowing the issue is fixed. I'm glad I found a plumbing company I can trust.

We ultimately paid way too much for a basic 50 gallon hot water heater swap (bundled price of almost $3000). I was out of town and my wife was busy with work when this happened. We had used Bumble Bee Plumbing in the past and trusted them. That trust has been broken and will never return. My wife left a Google review. There was a response posted as "response from the owner" which left a phone number of 602-813-0298 to call so we could speak with their "manager" to address our concerns. I tried to call that number twice...it's been disconnected! Do your research, get multiple bids and verify that the company you are calling is truly LOCALLY OWNED and has not been rolled up under some private equity structure. We have all seen countless stories about how private equity could care less about the customer and how they leave a trail of destruction and debt in the end. It's largely about profits, margins and EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization). This is the valuation metric that's referenced (with a multiple applied) when they sell. In most cases, that's ultimately ALL PRIVATE EQUITY FIRMS CARE ABOUT! It's a sad yet not surprising story on the fleecing of America! All I can say about Bumble Bee Plumbing is my experience was very different this time and it appears that since my last time using them, private equity has gotten involved. I'll let you draw your own conclusions! Would love to see a customer advocacy/awareness story on one of the local news affiliates about how private equity has consolidated so many previously locally owned trade businesses (plumbing, HVAC, electrical). This might be a good starting point for that type of story.
