Can't duck those Foie Gras chips in SF
Juan V.

The Mission District in San Francisco has many corner liquor stores. Throughout the Mission it's the first choice and last resort to buy alcoholic drinks , chips, candies , and food. You will find the same types of liquor at these corner liquor stores with bottles of Hennessy, Patron, E&J , beer, and malt liquor like the Steel Reserve 211. It's not the healthiest places to go. One place on the corner of 16th and Valencia has lots of healthier alternatives to corner stores of the Mission and it's in the Mission. The Foodhall is like the corner store modernized and reimagined to have healthier options. Instead of cheesy Doritos tortilla chips they have Non GMO Morenita tortilla chips. Instead of hostess cup cakes they have fresh baked goods which are actually flakey like some bakeries in SF. They also have of bottles of champagne and wine available . Foodhall offers organic foods. You will find fruits and vegetables and the self proclaimed best Frozen Yogurt ever. The only drawback is its closes way before midnight. Thanksgiving is "here "enjoy some wine and "beer" a good time to share the joy and " volunteer"and spread some holiday "cheer" Brown bagging it with some "alcohol" or need that extra bottle for that Mission "pub crawl" they have a bit of "all" on the corner of 16th and Valencia at the " Food Hall"

The froyo is fantastic! It's not too sweet & it's lightly tart. I stopped here on a walk home during a warm evening and it was the perfect little refreshing treat. I got the mini size, it was around $5.

The best froyo in San Francisco! They also have froyo you can ask for that sells in a pint. A hidden gem in the city.

The best froyo in san francisco. They also have froyo that sells in a large container if you ask for it.

Unfortunately (for my wallet), the hype is real -- the froyo at the Foodhall is delicious. It's the perfect balance between Easy Breezy's Original Tart and the creamy vanilla soft serve from Gott's or Super Duper. The texture is smooth, the flavor is spot on, and honestly, it hits the spot in a way most froyo doesn't. That said, the price is pretty steep, $6 for a small plus $1.50 for a strawberry topping adds up quickly. It's definitely more of a once-in-a-while treat rather than a regular craving fix. But if you're in the mood to treat yourself, this froyo is absolutely worth a try.

I saw the reviews and as a frozen treat lover, I had to try this place out! they only have one flavor (which is what I would've gotten anyways bc it pairs well with all the toppings) it was soooo good! the strawberries were $1.5 but so worth it! def coming back

Stopped by for dessert, specifically the frozen yogurt. It was good and we found our frozen yogurt fix but i wouldn't agree with the sign saying it was the ' best frozen yogurt ever'. Comparable to McDonald's sundaes, and that's not a knock since I like those.

Froyo:Super creamy yummy frozen yogurt. Slightly pricey but REALLY good. Even the strawberries were good. Aesthetic: loved it ate it up. They did a great job with the interior giving it a warm mid century corner shop vibe idk Selection: I have been looking for these damn Torres truffle chips for months (carats know) and they had them!! I was scared bc they weren't priced but I got two bags for like $6 which shocked me. Btw u need to get these chips like rn. Trust.

Foodhall's frozen yogurt is SO GOOD. The yogurt is so creamy with a fantastic consistency--you can tell that it's made with good milk. We got it with the macerated strawberries, which added a nice bit of brightness to the tartness. I almost want to gatekeep this spot so that it continues to be readily available. The service was a little slow, but the cashier was still very nice! The frozen yogurt is a little on the pricier side, but it's such a fantastic sweet treat. The store also stocks other treats but still expensive.

Clean cute stylish grocery store with yummy froyo! There is a back area with open table and counter seats to enjoy the froyo or baked goods they have available. Sadly they ran out of the hazelnut chocolate drizzle, opted for honey which hardened and was hard to eat. The froyo itself is nice and tart! Always a nice stop for a healthy dessert :)

it's true!!

stepped inside foodhall as a bit a joke with friends, looking like an sf version of erewhon, but literally lured in by the fro-yo sign. and had the best experience ever (not a joke) because the froyo was otherworldly, the ambiance was amazing, and the family behind the counter working together so cute and cozy was the most adorable thing to see.

Olive oil & sea salt frozen yogurt

I've been on an olive oil kick recently and this dessert definitely satisfied my craving of the day. Think Whole Foods/Erewhon; the ambiance in this store is industrial yet chic. I love it. Foodhall only offer original tart (green flag!) with a wide array of toppings. The frozen yogurt itself was so thick and creamy, I'm still dreaming about it. The olive oil and sea salt was honestly a bit much, I was expecting a floral kick like salt & straw's but this tasted a bit too much like straight olive oil and sea salt. But I believe in the other toppings and would totally come back. This froyo texture is probably the best I've ever had! It was $10 per regular-sized cup which felt a bit ridiculous, but again I will be back. There was only one employee and he was meticulous with the toppings.

Froyo with olive oil and sea salt. Creamy, silky perfection.

This is a review for their froyo. Yes, this froyo was so good, it compelled me to write a review immediately on a Saturday evening. Or maybe I had nothing better to do. I digress. Foodhall's froyo was probably the best I've tried. It was creamy, silky, and dense...yet had a lighter mouthfeel than ice cream would normally be with this consistency. I got a hint of that yogurt tang I love, but I think it would still be mild enough for those averse to tart froyo. They have a variety of toppings, and I went with olive oil & sea salt. This added dimension to the lovely texture and mild flavor without overpowering it. Heavenly. Definitely pricey at $7, but worth it.

Frozen yogurt topped with olive oil and sea salt

I don't know how the heck olive oil could work so well with frozen yogurt, but it does! The yogurt here is so creamy and tangy, and the olive oil adds another layer of flavor. You can tell the olive oil is of pretty high quality, and while I was bummed they didn't have the blueberry toppings I was looking for, the olive oil definitely didn't make me miss it.

Sketchy part of town. Also, the food we've gotten from there was often cold and bland.

They explained that the flight includes an espresso shot, espresso shot with milk, hot coffee, and iced coffee. I hadn't had a straight espresso shot before, so this wasn't for me personally just because it was so overpowering. I enjoyed the other three though. Like the majority of SF, parking is difficult to locate. I was dropped off nearby the location. There is indoor and outdoor seating; I was able to grab an empty spot late in the morning on a weekend, but I don't think seating is always readily available. It's not a huge space.

At 11 am on a Sunday they were out of their best- black sesame Kouign Amann and the Raspberry Almond Croissant, which I took care of by paying a visit to Juniper bakery (sister business) later in the day. The Mocha with the house made nut milk fell flat. It needed something. I am not a fan of syrupy coffees and appreciate the more purist approach but this one just didn't do anything for me. The chai latte which I would never order was actually the best chai latte I have ever had, it was smooth like silk. Maybe I just had the wrong coffee order. Besides that, got the hot chocolate and the coffee tasting. I was surprised there was no explanation provided with the coffee- I figured it's all Honduran but an overview of some sort would have helped. I enjoyed all the coffees in there except the latte. Will visit again, earlier in the day so they are not out of their best sellers and try a different order.

I got invited here to shoot some content for them, and I'm very glad for that opportunity…read more Content aside, I did genuinely enjoy their drinks. The strawberry matcha was my favorite. They used a strawberry cream top instead of a puree, which I actually enjoyed. It added a nice creaminess to the drink, and the matcha was very smooth and strong. It worked well together. I also tried their double hojicha, and while I enjoyed how nutty and strong the hojicha was, I did find it a little bit grainy. I wish it was a little smoother like the matcha was. I usually don't drink/like coffee, but the guava cold brew sounded so interesting I couldn't resist. The fruity jasmine tea somehow paired so well with the coffee and made it a nice refreshing drink. I was also lucky enough to try the matcha crepe cake, which I believe they get from Lady M. It had really nice layers and was light, but unfortunately it was a little too sweet for me. Overall a very solid matcha/coffee option in SF. They have a beautiful interior too, perfect for catching up with friends. Servers were sweet as well!

The strawberry latte on the other hand was very overpoweringly flavored of the strawberry jam :(. I felt it tasted a bit artificial and didn't really let the matcha taste come through, I would stick to-the hojicha. 4.5/10 For food we got the fish sandwich and the pork katsu sandwich. The fish sandwich was decent, the cheese was cold but the fish was nice and flaky. I wish the fish skin was a bit more crunchy but I did like the slaw and sauce on it. 6.5/10 The pork one was soooo good and juicy. The crust was super crunchy and surrounded by the soft bread was such a nice texture. There was a sweet sauce which balanced the sandwhich nicely.
