We had a taste for Chinese and stopped in while charging the car. There was a combo deal on the window saying drinks and fortune cookies came with the meal. We looked at the food behind the counter and it looked ok. We had to ask for the teriyaki sauce because she omitted that. The teriyaki chicken was bland, boring and tasteless. I've had more flavor with boiled chicken. She only gave meat with the Kung pap chicken and the black pepper beef. We had to ask for vegetables because she picked around those. There was barely any black pepper and the beef was questionable. Not sure if it was actually beef. Strange texture. The orange chicken was bland. It had the color, but no taste. We ate at another establishment because all the available tables inside were dirty. When done with our food and disappointed with the lack of flavor of everything, we discovered the fortune cookies weren't in the bag as advertised. We went back to get them. I love this place! Been here twice, both times were awesome! Love their BBQ Pork and I love them fatty which can be requested. Just moved to San Diego and I love Chinese food I think this is the only place worth trying around where I live. There are some dishes slightly inferior to panda express, such as orange chicken and mushroom chicken, but I really appreciate having some different entree options in the 3 item combo format, instead of having to eat Panda Express all the time. Price-wise they are similar to Panda Express, and you might even get a bit more quantity wise. Quality-wise I feel they are better than Sam Woo BBQ 3 item combo. Some of the rudest service I've experienced at a chinese takeout. I came here with my family, ordered a pretty decent amount of food. First off, the lady behind the counter rushed us through.....no biggie, the usual for a place like this. But after she served our food, the guy behind the counter went behind her and added scoops and sauces to our order since her version of serving us was pathetic. As I paid I asked for extra teriyaki sauce, personal favorite of mine, and very necessary since I had ordered teriyaki chicken. The lady basically rolled her eyes at my request and acted like I had committed the ultimate sin against her chinese takeout. She made a huge production of giving me the tiniest little cup of teriyaki chicken drippings that would have been to small to feed even a baby hummingbird. Since I figured I'm already on her sh** list at this point....I asked for a little bit more since I knew what she gave me wouldn't have been enough sauce for even a single chunk of chicken. Again with another huge production but finally I knew at least one bite of my food would have sauce! If that was all I probably would have let it go and not have written this review. But after we sat down to eat....we needed refills. I already knew that a fine establishment such as this would not offer free refills, so I sent my 10 year old son up with the cup and a dollar for a refill. Again this lady strikes again! She sends my son back...acting as if we were trying to steal from her because apparently it wasn't enough to refill our drinks. After all the money I just spent on food and drinks? Really? To act that way over less than a couple quarters? I have no problem paying for the refill but man is it really necessary to treat people like that. Food was mediocre at best. Probably would have given a 2-3 stars if it weren't for the disrespectful service. I will not ever be back at this establishment and regret giving them any of my money is the first place. Read the reviews and thought this would be a good spot to pick up some decent, quick Chinese food. Was greatly disappointed in both the length of time I had to stand in line to be served buffet style food and the quality of the product. Their orange chicken was 90% batter which covered a small piece of dark chicken meat. I elected the lo main noodles (which I selected as a side over the fried rice) was gummy and tasted of old cooking oil. I called in my order for the family meal at 5pm The lady who took my order said it will be ready at 5:45. I picked up my order at that exact time, but the lady said it wasn't ready, but I could clearly see my order behind her with my name on it. She proceeded to help other customers before getting back to me. While she was helping the other customers, she stated "You know it's $27.99, right?" I said "Yeah, I'm the one who made the freaking order and you already told me the price on the phone." I asked her why did she lie to me and tell me my order was not ready. She said her english isn't that very good. Another lie, her english was perfect when she took my order and when she was helping out the other customers and if that's the case, have someone else ringing up customers if you can't communicate properly. It's your typical americanized greasy Chinese fast food with the combo plates. I'm too lazy to find a Panda Express and this is just as good a replacement nearby. The bbq pork is really good but it had so much fat chunks in it. The egg rolls were kind of bland but I just don't really like those without meat. I liked the portions though. My go to for super cheap greasy Americanized Chinese food. Like Panda Express only better. Everything is fairly fresh. Everything I've ever ordered was as good as expected. I have a hard time not finishing my entire order, which is why I usually get this food on a day when I've hiked more than 6 miles or completed a 5 mile run. I was quite disappointed with this place. The Lo Mein was not flavorful, the orange chicken was very dry, and the egg rolls were very "mushy". On top of this, I found it rude when I asked for a refill and they gave me a bad look and told me I'd have to pay. I will say their fries stick croutons (forgot the name) are excellent. This place is pretty hidden. Behind bank of america and coco's. Lots of parking and its never packed. They have really good prices for what you get. This is a classic example of you get what you pay for. If you want cheap Chinese with bad service then this is the place. The only reason it is not 1 star is because the food is ok , not great but ok. You get a lot of food for 4-6 bucks. I ordered the2 $ chicken kabob ( you are supposed to get 2 for $2) kabob, but they forgot so I just asked for my money back. The rice I would not order, the chow main noodles are what you normally get. Advertisements are not clear. They should input the word "or" instead of "and." To top it all of, a random woman with her child came in and begged all of the customers for money, and the staff did nothing about it. I had to say "go away" very firmly to her. I went to fortune cookie today & the people there had just horrifying customer service and refused to even place my order for pork because it was near closing time?!!! Like seriously I come here pretty often and typically am "satisfied" the service. I would definitely avoid going here especially if it's "near closing" because they may just not feel like making your meal or if they do, they definitely did not put very much effort to making it. Was in the mood for some quick Chinese food and came across this place, when I walked in the place is pretty clean for a take out place, so I walk up to the counter it's typical Chinese food pre cooked and sitting out already... so I order 2 item combo plate of teriyaki chicken and orange chicken with steamed rice and my wife orders beef lo mein, fairly large portions for around 6-7 dollars, unfortunately that's where the problem comes from the food does not taste very good poor flavors and very bland the orange chicken is about 80% breading and poor quality meat the lo mein was very flat and not very pleasant threw away about 80% of it...all in all bad quality food and tasteless panda express is definitely better if your looking for quick Chinese takeout. read more

Love their wings...placed an order for Sunday only to find out they aren't open on Sundays...they picked the time for my pick up on Saturday to reheat the next day..I knew I didn't have to have them today so "whenever" I got there it would be cool! Sadly it did not! I got fried rice with two items. Orange chicken and BBQ pork. The rice was nice and moist, the orange chicken was ok but had dried out pieces that were hard to chew. The BBQ pork tasted good but had a lot of fat. It's ok if you want something quick and for a decent price. I paid $5.78, the cashier added on 30 cents for using my debt card which is stupid to me but whatever. Also I got 1 pack of soy sauce and no fortune cookie! What Chinese place doesn't give a complementary fortune cookie?? It's named Fortune Cookie Express Lol. You get what you pay for. Not sure how the heat-lamp stuff was, as I passed on it in favor of their fresh-made tofu/veggie dish. The lady asked me if I wanted brown or white sauce- I told her "whatever you think it better"- and her head nearly popped off- "Which one? Brown or white? Which?" I ended up getting the White/Clear sauce. It was a nice large serving and pretty inexpensive. The tofu was slightly crisp on the outside (was it deep fried?) and it included a nice amt of veggies.
