I'm giving this place a fifth star solely because of the nostalgic factor. This place has been around my whole life, and has never once disappointed. It's always hard to choose between all of the delicious desserts, though I always opt for a classic chocolate milkshake. All the food is equally satisfying, me rotating between burgers and hot dogs and regular/curly fries. The employees are always nice and get the orders out fairly quick. awessssooommeee place for ice cream -I've had the twister(i think its called the twister?) which is a mc flurryish treat, it's great, a lot better than an actual mc flurry, I'm guessing its the type of ice cream they use(its more yellow than an actual mc flurry) -I've also had a "freeze" or two, freeze's are drinks that contain ice cream and your choice of soda, then it's mixed together and tastes great (try the orange soda freeze, its like a creamsicle!) -What I usually get here is their combo meal with the bbq big boss, the burger itself is great and I'm not even a fan of bbq sauce, the fries are delicious, golden and fried old fashioned fries, and i always order a dr.pepper to go along with all of it, oh yeah i usually make my size large as well overall a quaint place to hang out with your friends and enjoy delicious ice cream treats and have a burger and fries read more

There aren't too many of these around anymore. We have only one that I know of in our area. I guess the drive up has been replaced by the drive through. I still love to go here once in a while. I used to go with my dad all the time. We loved all the different types of ice cream you can get. They have sundaes and banana splits and cones and shakes and malts and a ton of other different cold treats and many flavors of ice cream. Their burgers and fries are good too. Sometimes you have to wait a bit longer there than at a regular fast food place, but it's worth it. The food always comes to you nice and hot, except for the ice cream of course it's always busy there. The staff is also nice and efficient. You can go in and eat or eat out on their patio or in your car or just take your food home. read more

I went to a Foster's Freeze in Santa Cruz a while back and recently when i saw the little link on yelp for a Foster's Freeze in Milpitas, I was pretty happy. I called the phone number and asked what time they are closed, they said they close at 10. The person I talked to was really sweet, and very nice. So when I went to Foster's Freeze I expected to have a good experience. Luckily I did have a good experience. Ordered: Original burger with bacon and cheese (I think thats what its called but it was like 1/4 pound burger patty) and zuccini sticks. And my friend ordered it with chili bacon and cheese I wasn't extremely hungry so it was pretty light. But the burger was great, they have bbq sauce in packets and if you sit down they have ketchup from those old fashioned sqeezee bottles. The zuccini sticks were really good in my opinion, they come with a packet of kraft ranch sauce. It was a good combo. Plus the girls working the cash registers were really nice. They started conversations with some people that seemed to be regulars like "How was your day" It came to a surprise to me. Haha. The parking lot was filled the time I went in, taking the last spot, and the time I came out. So business is really good too. Overall 4.5 mainly because theres always something a business can do to make it better. And because I haven't yet tried the desserts. But they look reallly good. read more

Went here with the boyfriend on Saturday night (May 16) around 9pm. I ordered a caramel hot fudge parfait without nuts. I see the girl making my parfait through the window and I her put nuts on it. I was already accepting the fact that I'd have to eat my parfait with nuts since I don't like to be a big pain to people working customer service HOWEVER. The girl realizes my parfait isn't supposed to have nuts on it so the girl TAKES HER BARE HAND AND GRABS THE WHIPPED CREAM AND NUTS OFF THE TOP. She then put more whipped cream on top and tried to serve it to me. I said "Please make me another one, I saw you put your hand in it." She sort of laughed (like, oops I got caught), but didn't even apologize or acknowledge that she had done anything wrong, not to mention disgusting and unsanitary. She made another one for me and when it was ready she silently put it in the window for me to pick up without making eye contact or saying anything to me. Needless to say I won't be going back, and if you don't like other people's unwashed hands in your food, you won't go here either. read more

This is seriously THE best Foster Freeze in the Bay Area. You don't think that franchises would carry food that's much different, but wow, if you go to the Foster Freeze off McKee, you'll know what I mean. I used to go to St. John's, so I grew up walking to Foster Freeze after volleyball practice.. My all time favorite has to be the double decker with some delicious ass onion rings. The atmosphere is reminiscent of those drive in diners, although no one comes to your car to take your order.. Haha, that would be nice though. The seating inside is really limited, so either eat in your car or take your shit to go. Don't complain, just enjoy it.. Haha. The only complaint I have is that their waits are generally pretty long, but what do you expect? They're always busy. The food is well worth the wait anyways. =) read more

Get "Frozen" at the Livermore, California's Fosters Freeze and be warmed by a personality that makes you feel at home. The freeze is from the soft serve ice cream that I like to get there, and it is CuCu's warm and ever quick-to-be-pleasant attitude that was on display again on Saturday. I stopped by to try the next in line on the list of Foster Freeze's most recent dinner meals. I again witnessed that CuCu spoke to young and old patrons, asking the young regard their parents, and the old regard the welfare of their kids (and, in my case, also, my father-in-law). She also knew the history of the young college kid that came in while I was there. He talked with her and mentioned that he knew who her son was because he attended the same school. He introduced his kid brother and they chatted with her regard their plans for continued schooling. It was an enjoyment to eat a meal in such a nice atmosphere. Thank you, Cucu!! (Oh, and the dinner meal I tried was the fish and chips. My fish fell out of the batter and was so hot it nearly burned me.
