A Glendale classic since 1964! And the vibe will definitely transport you to the 60's! It looks like a mountain retreat, complete with fireplace, dark wood, high ceilings and dim lighting! All it's missing is the avocado-colored SHAG carpeting of my childhood home! The breakfast is outstanding, and quite frankly my dear, I've never been here for lunch or dinner. Despite it being on the app, they won't honor the Yelp 10% discount anymore (as of 11/17/23). (They did honor it for me when I asked though!) I love the famous (infamous) Cinnamon Roll French Toast and the Barbacoa breakfast. You can't go wrong with any of the eggs Benedict's - there an entire page of the menu devoted to them. i'd like to note that i've been to foxy's many, many times over the years and it's always been stellar, but this past sunday's visit was abysmal to the point i started to wonder if they've changed ownership. went around 2pm on sunday, the restaurant was maybe half full, pretty normal. took a good while to flag down our server who was consistently ignoring us, maybe 15 minutes, and she literally rolled her eyes at us as she walked over to the table. we placed our order and proceeded to sit there for another 40 minutes. our server disappeared about halfway through that time, maybe she went on her break, but made no apologies for the egregious wait time and offered a salad while we were waiting (no?), had no answers for what the holdup was about. my partner and i spoke with a manager who was impolite at best and said our food would be ready in another 10 minutes on top of all that? absolutely not. he also made no apologies and we ended up walking out. there was a larger table seated near us of 5 people who were there and ordered before we walked in, who also did not receive their food by the time we left. what the hell is going on here? really disappointing because foxy's is such a fun experience normally. they also did not have any seasonal decor up like usual, and the toasters are gone from the tables. read more

My godparents took me for my birthday this year because they remember going to different locations in the 50s, and this is the last remaining establishment. The service is so attentive, the restaurant is clean and the touch of table top toasters is adorable. I love the A frame building. There is a small parking lot but note a much larger one behind the building on the next street. The menu is plentiful, options for all dietary needs and breakfast served all day! The salmon eggs Benedict was delightful and it was a great visit with even better company. I will be returning soon, it's a great place for friends, family or even a casual date spot! read more

What a disappointing experience. My family and I have been coming to Foxy's for many years now and wow how have things have changed. The host Erick was rude and with a staring problem. When wanting to pay he was no where near to help us. The waiters were calling him to come out and help and it took him a few minutes to come out and help. The quality of food/service has really decreased. When walking in to the restaurant it feels sad and lonely, there's no life. Will definitely not be coming back to this restaurant. Very disappointed. A friend of mine had come here often, and finally scheduled a ladies brunch with some friends. I had never been here so I was excited to try something new. I got the veggie omelette with hash browns and we shared a short stack of pancakes. My omelette was good! The flavors of the veggies and the perfect amount of cheese worked really well together. The hash browns were perfectly cooked and crunchy. Really good !! The pancake was really good too! The staff was AMAZING!! Catered to all our needs and we're super nice. Could've been better... As a first-time visitor, I was not very impressed, to be honest. Only 1 server serving the tables outside? (I don't know about the inside) Honestly, I felt bad seeing her going back and forth between tables. Unfortunately, it was not a very clean place as well, which is something very important for me, I'm sure for other people too Coming to the food, I noticed some dishes ingredients were not clearly described. When I got my order, I noticed there were ingredients that were not mentioned in the menu, and I really could not eat them , which was the reason I could not eat and finish my plate. The server was a great person. She really worked hard taking care of all the tables. On my last visit, I didn't have the best experience with the manager. I ordered a bowl of chili--which was actually pretty good--but the service left a BAD TASTE IN MY MOUTH. The manager came off as petty, nickel-and-diming for every little thing: water, bread, minor substitutions... you name it. It felt less like hospitality and more like we were being bread-crumbed--literally. To top it off, he told us the bread would cost extra if we wanted to replace the stale chips. BE FOR REAL!! We've been coming here for years and I'm glad that Foxy's is still around, since it's one of the few remaining mid-century restaurants. I would have loved to seen it back then, but it's still hanging in there. I've always enjoyed the food and I love the architectural style and decor inside. The toasters at the table are great. I think there have been some service issues in the past, but our last visit, the service was fine. We sat outside this time, decided to take anything to cut the waiting, as there is always a line. They are still doing the QR code menu, which I think is silly at this point, I would have preferred a physical menu. Our waitress was fine, polite, if not in a tiny bit of a hurry, but it was understandable as she was covering a lot of tables and was repeatedly being called back to the table next to us to be ogled at by the two old Hispanic men there. I hope Foxy's addresses the public health codes issue and stays around for many years to come, because I would be sad to see it close. It's a nostalgic treasure in Glendale. read more

A very tasty and southwest themed diner in Glendale complete with a toaster on your table. This weekend was my first visit to Foxy's even though I have known about it for quite some time. It's a well-known diner in the heart of Glendale that servesbreakfast through dinner. They have a very large menu filled with all sorts of diner classics, but you will especially find a lot of southwestern style dishes. Inside is very unique, not only with the toaster on the table, but also the entire restaurant being an A Frame building that is dimly lit inside with many chandeliers hanging instead for your lighting. They have many tables inside and out and we had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated for a Saturday morning brunch. Our server was very polite and all of our food items came out very quickly. There is a large free parking lot attached to the side of the restaurant so parking was extremely easy. Being our first time we wanted to try some of the more popular breakfast dishes on the menu. We chose the Corned Beef Hash Benedict and the 2 x 2 x 2. I learned that I am not a very big fan of corn beef hash, but everything was cooked perfectly and I can't fault the restaurant for it just more of a flavor preference. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the hollandaise was made just right. The 2 x 2 x 2 was also very good. The bacon was as crispy as I like it and the pancakes were fluffy and delicious. Overall, pricing is very fair and the portion sizes are generous. I would recommend to anyone searching for a great casual spot not only for breakfast but for lunch and dinner as well. read more

This is a quick review because I was in the area, stopped by here on a whim and ordered takeout. First off, they have their own parking lot (which is great). I was able to find a spot right away, even, though the lot was nearly full. Walked in, received a warm and friendly welcome and was given a menu. I ordered the Cobb Salad. Turn-around was quick. Also, the place is sooooo cute. Ample inside seating as well as a nice sized outdoor dining area. Got home an ate my salad. It was okay, but nothing special at all. Excellent service. They kept refilling our coffee and water, booths have a toaster at each table for fresh toast. It's somewhat of a cottage feel/look. Our table order included French toast special, country breakfast, and the Gringo entrees. I had the shrimp chilaquiles with poached eggs on the side. Everything was fresh, hot, and had a great flavor. The order came out right away. They have plenty of breakfast, brunch, and lunch options. I was in busy glendale mall and decided to eat breakfast at 2 pm (please don't judge me lol) and somehow I stumbled upon foxys! When I arrived it was empty! Granted it was way past breakfast time on a sunday. This place has a great selection of food for any time not just breakfast; they serve salads, sandwiches, and "southwest" cuisine. Because I hadn't eaten breakfast I chose the country breakfast that came with eggs, sausages and pancakes! The portion size for the sausages and pancakes were HUGE and my eggs were cooked to perfection! I loved the mickey shaped pancakes that I did not want to eat it, however, the pancakes were fluffy and moist I could not resist. I ordered a black coffee and an orange juice! The orange juice, you can tell was freshly made. They have a toaster on the side of the table which i thought was a prop but it turned out to be real and connected! You can toast your bread in there and eat it freshly warmed, what a great idea!! Overall, I was impressed by this classic diner since they still use handwritten guests checks but you can definitely pay with your phone! Est. 1964- The large menu with color photos has some interesting dishes. The wooden A frame interior has a log cabin-like feel, and it's been a staple of Glendale for almost 60 years. The two fireplaces don't work anymore, but each table has its own toaster, which is convenient, even if most of the bread is too big to fit in properly . Regardless, the food is good and the Bloody Marys with tahini pepper on the rim, are very tasty. The Corn Beef Hash Benedict is excellent and the hollandaise sauce was not too tart or rich, it was just right. The Power Breakfast Scramble is massive, and loaded with Chicken, Spinach, Mushrooms, Tomatoes, Black Beans and Brown Rice. The house made Salsas are very good and compliment the Scramble. The service was friendly and efficient and we were never left alone wondering where our server went. Foxy's may be getting older, but she's still got it. We will be back! read more

We were seated in the patio area but the shades were down (probably because of the wind and potential rain). Here's what we had: CHICKEN STRIPS - $12 Served with fries, ranch and BBQ dipping sauces. My favorite spot for chicken tenders because it's not dry, it has the right amount of crisp on the outside and the dipping sauces are great. I rec trying it with Honey Mustard! Oh and fries were decent. This dish come with 4 hefty tender pieces and a good amount of fries. CHICKEN SALAD CROISSANT - $15 Fresh chicken salad with lettuce, tomatoes. Served with choice of fries, fruit or homemade potato chips plus homemade soup or house salad. I chose the fruit (melons and pineapples) and soup, which was a yummy lentil soup. The croissant was the right amount of toasty, and there was lots of tuna salad in this. SO GOOD! One of the few sandwiches where it's still good with no cheese. I still love it here. The corned beef hash was extremely salty, I expected the beef hash to be salty, but not THIS salty.
