WOW. First time dining at Fratellos as an out-of-tower and I certainly hope it won't be my last. Every aspect of this restaurant is stunning - the waterfront location, the excellent service, beautiful drinks and phenomenal food. We had a private room with pre-set menu that included bread service + soup or salad. Do not skip on the fresh bread with compound butter. I never knew how delicious bacon Parmesan compound butter would be. I want to be a butter snob now and only crave compound butters moving forward. :D Food presentation is beautiful but taste is what wins me over. The tenderloin is magnificent. All of the flavors are in perfect symmetry - the sprouts and mashed potatoes were dynamite. Having broccolini as another vegetable was even better. This is a generously sized dish and easily makes for 2 meals. I can't say enough positive things about my first Fratellos experience and very much look forward to coming back for another taste.

First, the location can't be beat. From the terrace we watched the river flow and marvelled at the wildlife -- we saw pelicans, heron, and an eagle. Our college age waitress was so sweet and incredibly patient with the table next to ours -- at which a couple of older white haired men were asking her endless questions about her personal life. We were there for just a drink and a snack so we got an Old Fashioned and a Shandy -- both of which were delicious -- and some truffle fries. So good!

River view from our table. Peaceful evening.

Great place for a relaxing evening on the riverfront! Food was wonderful and the appetizers recommended by the server was delicious. She was very attentive and made our dining experience an absolute pleasure. Fried chicken dinner was delicious.

Came here on a Tuesday afternoon with 8 other people and sat in the outdoor patio area. It is self seating on the patio. We came to mainly order appetizers, drinks and to hang out as a family. They have a good selection of both mocktails and cocktails. I got the orange obsession and would recommend it, as it's not overly sweet. We ordered the cheese curds, truffle fries, bruschetta, and the bam bam shrimp. The highlight was the bam bam shrimp with the sauce and the coleslaw.

Gorgeous location overlooking river. Service was impeccable. Manager came and checked on every table throughout our lunch. Had the chicken breast sandwich which was the special and their Krunch salad, both were fresh and very good. I've loved that salad for years as we used to eat at sister restaurant in Oshkosh. Their chicken tenders are made with Captain Krunch cereal and absolutely amazing. The chx sandwich special came with a side of soup or salad. The 'side' salad was as big as a main dish. It's pricey, but everywhere seems to be these days. We will be back.

Pricey, but beautiful view and always quite packed. We came for our anniversary and they did give us a complimentary chocolate cake that was very decadent. Food is always good. Service has always been nice as well. Overall, a great venue to bring a date for sure. Highly recommend down by the windows for the best views. We will continue to come back on special occasions to keep trying their different dishes. Happy eating!

Genuinely artistic food! I love the creativity in each dish, and even better, how often they change the menu to offer new dishes. Fantastic service, amazing food, and an amazing atmosphere!

To start I have to mention the beautiful views this restaurant has. Wonderful waterfalls and moment from the nearby dam. I've been wanting to try squid ink pasta for a long time and finally got a taste. This venue was perfect for my girlfriend's birthday dinner. Our server was attentive and being a Monday service was quickly achieved. Definitely would recommend this as a treat a few times a year.

First time at Fratellos and it was so good! Plenty of parking outside, easy to make a reservation, and we got a great spot right by the window. The food was so good! I had the short rib pappardelle and others got the Chicken Penne. To top it off the Apple Pie Cannoli was amazing. Will be back!

Great atmosphere and service. Met some coworkers for lunch and sat outside. Their patio is good size and love the views of the Fox River and the dam.

Took my wife here for our Anniversary dinner. What a great little restaurant. The service was impeccable, and our waiter was on point. A really nice young man. I got the Duck Breast. It was cooked perfectly, and was still dripping & shiny when it got to me. My wife got Chicken Vodka Pasta, she enjoyed it. Huge windows for a great view of Fox River. After dinner the waiter brought us a dessert with chocolate writing for our Anniversary. What a treat. We cannot wait to come back to Fratello's. Thanks for a wonderful evening

They have an upstairs tap room, an arcade, and a bar and restaurant downstairs. The service was all-around incredible. The employees were warm, friendly, and professional, and they seemed to know exactly how often to check in without interrupting our meal. They spaced out our drinks, appetizers, and entrees just the right amount. Our server Andrew was particularly great. We had a soda flight of their craft sodas for a super super reasonable price, and every single soda was spectacular. We're spoiled in the craft soda department by virtue of living in Wisconsin (Sprecher, Potosi, etc), but this was definitely the best craft soda we've had. Even the wacky flavors like blue raspberry were rich and flavorful--they didn't taste overwhelmingly artificial. I cannot recommend their soda enough, although I imagine their craft beer is pretty good too! We also had a delicious mocktail, which always goes a long ways in impressing us. All of our food was reasonably priced and so, so, fresh and delicious. The Bavarian pretzel with the beer cheese was heavenly!! We loved our entrees as well. Even something simple like the fries were perfectly done--fresh, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside I don't think we could have asked for a better experience. Everything we had their was top notch, and despite the number of things we ordered, our bill was not very high at all (about $50 for a mocktail, a craft soda flight and a soda pint, an appetizer and two entrees.

The rarity time off we snuck over here and could not have been more impressed! Very much a unique place in Appleton but takes you to a big city like NYC or Portland. The vibes, decor, overall environment was welcoming. Food was delicious! We got BYO omelette and Cheese risotto cake with braised beef short ribs. Both were cooked to perfection and flavors aplenty. Not overly salted which many places can be. The perfect portion size that we didn't even need to take anything to go. Honestly impressed. Even more cool is they try to source ingredients locally when they can so it's helping our community. Very excited to have found this place and will be back for more! We did try some of their specialty drinks and will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu whenever we get the chance. We came back for a second visit fairly quickly because we kept thinking about the food! We got some breakfast bowls and added protein to it. Again, this place did not disappoint in the slightest! They're located in an old building along the main street in downtown. For lunch, they seemed to have a short list of items...and not really catering to a red meat eater like me. I picked the chicken pesto sandwich since I normally eat chicken sandwiches for lunch and opted for the house potatoes. Our waitress was very loopy and loud add seemed overly happy about her job. My colleague thinks she was yelling at us whem she spoke, but I believe that is just how some people talk. My chicken sandwich was good...but the chicken breast seemed like a machine formed patty and it was small. I was expecting something a little fresher, like a whole grilled chicken breast for the price. Instead, this seemed like a pre-made patty from a vendor they just heated up in an oven. The house potatoes were simple and pretty good though. They add cheese and herbs and spices to these to amp them up. I can't really speak for the breakfast or cocktail program, but their music was pretty good.

Where to start?! Well, the food was great, and the drinks were great, and the service was great,…read moreso... not much else to say! I'm just kidding, I always have more to say. ;) But, in fairness, it's a great little spot that's kind of tucked away about a block and a half off the main strip (College Blvd or whatever it's called). But, it's a hidden gem worth searching for! We were made aware of this place thanks to the kind woman working at our hotel. We were in town for a game at Lambeau, and we heard that there was a shuttle from Rookie's to the field, which we definitely wanted to make use of! (That's a whole other review, but let's just say, it was an experience I'll never forget, and one I would repeat in a heartbeat!) The crowd here was clearly Packers fans. But, in their defense, they didn't make us opposing team fans feel threatened or not welcomed. Quite the opposite! Once they realized we were going to be respectful of their place and their folks, they welcomed us! The food really is good, especially for the money. It's one of those rare inexpensive places left in this country, where a pretzel appetizer easily feeds a family of four! LOL! I wish there weren't just two of us, because we also ordered boneless wings and cheese curds! Everything was hot and fresh, and it all tasted great. The drinks were large, inexpensive, and cold. No complaints at all. The service was also really wonderful, with friendly staff and very efficient servers. Like I said, nobody gave us a lot of grief for being from out of town. But, we could tell right away, this was a "local spot" and for a very good reason. Locals and regulars definitely make up the customer base, but they keep coming back for all the other reasons provided: good food, good drinks, and very reasonable prices. Example: I offered to buy a beverage for a very nice person who was incredibly helpful to us, specifically in arranging our spots on the shuttle bus. She was drinking a rail Old Fashioned. You know what that cost me? $3.50. That's not a South Park reference. That was what I paid for a rail cocktail! Anyway... if I'm ever in Appleton again, I'm stopping by. This really is a diamond in the rough, and one well worth your time in searching for.
