I'm giving this place a 4/5 because the keto rolls were so good!!! I ordered the orange blossom and miso soup and it was very delicious! It's rare when Japanese restaurants have keto roll options. It was very fresh and good! The miso soup was very good and not too salty either!! They don't have brown rice so just FYI! The service was not that great !! Our server Dodge was very nice but did take a while to come back to table and forgot our ice. However, our order was correct and the hostess was very nice. The ambiance was really nice and very cute inside I did love the decor!! Cute colors and bright! In downtown Burbank, but parking garage available and street parking. While in the area we decide we were hungry and tried this resturant. Service by Dodge was not good. He was not attentive and was very slow returning to our table. I ordered a bento box and it's was pretty good. They have a lot of keto heathy sushi options which is a plus. The place is field with beautiful pink flower decor . It's modern and has a nice good amount of seating.

Its a go to place for me and my family for sushi in the neighborhood. Their menu is extensive and it's good value. Last time we ordered a poke bowl and a chirrashi bowl. They were delicious! The service is quick and friendly as well.

I stumbled into Fujiya and was pleasantly surprised that they were pretty busy at dinnertime. I ended up sitting down and giving them a shot - I am glad I did. The creamy salmon nigiri was absolutely delicious - I highly recommend giving that a shot if you don't mind raw fish with a little sauce and sear. All in all, I would order this again. The chicken teriyaki appetizer was decent. It helped me hit the protein quota for the day, but I wasn't blown away by the sauce or quality. The yaki udon with beef was quite good. A good portion for two to share, but the sauce was a bit heavy and overwhelming. The edamame was good. Typical steamed edamame, no complaints. Service was polite and attentive. Dishes came out quickly enough, The interior is colorful and appealing. Booths are comfortable. Street parking is available outside. Not sure that I will be back here anytime soon, but I'd suggest it to anyone who wants recommendations for a Japanese place with saucey rolls, a variety of dishes, and some familiarity with sashimi and sushi.

Came here for lunch and it was not busy at all. I ordered their chicken teriyaki lunch bento meal. Our food took about 15 mins to come out. Food was just average. Neither great nor terrible.Rice and chicken were lukewarm vs. piping hot.

August 2025 - walking around in Downtown Burbank looking for amazingly delicious sushi? Well there are 8 several good restaurants in Downtown Burbank our favorite... Fujiya is our go to place for sashimi and nigiri. Totally love that their sashimi are not cut paper thin and served at perfect room temperature. Totally love.... Amberjack nigiri/sushi Yellowtail carpaccio w/ real wasabi Salmon carpaccio with miso glaze Blue fin tuna nigiri Eel w/ cucumber roll Soft shell tempura crab Large serving seaweed salad The rice in the sushi is perfectly seasoned. 5 star service and friendly staff

A very cool sushi place we had seen in downtown Burbank numerous times, and just never tried. So after finding we'd missed the lunch special at another place, we decided to go to Fujiya. They have a lot of the pretty standard menu items, and we were too late to take advantage of some pretty attractive lunch menu options, but we both settled on the Premium Sushi Combination, which includes salad, miso soup, five nigiri (the most popular kinds; salmon, tuna, unagi, etc.), and any one of their signature rolls, for just $25. Check out the pics. Pretty darned good value for the money, even at dinner prices. It would take a few more visits to really get to know the menu, but the options looked pretty standard, with a few gems we just haven't discovered yet. The quality of the food was very good. The fish was all very fresh and flavorful. The miso was standard, and the salad was a basic iceberg with some kind of vinaigrette. If I had a suggestion for the owners it would be to use a fresh spring mix for the salads instead of iceberg, and get away from the rehydrated wasabi powder. It just doesn't pack the punch of a fresh wasabi paste. Our servers were helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable, and the food was delivered quickly and with a very nice presentation. The seating was also very comfortable, with plenty of big screens around showing a variety of programs. One more tip for the management here, the big pink cherry blossom tree blocks the view of the biggest screen to over half the restaurant; maybe another location would be better for the tree. Overall, a great place to go in Burbank for sushi. There's free parking right down the street, and the whole San Fernando Blvd. shopping area within just a couple of minutes' walk.

Came here because of the awesome reviews and it did not disappoint. We ordered: Crunchy dragon roll -- spicy tuna , unagi on top , with nice sprinkle of crunch . Spider roll -- nice soft shell crab and avocado Lobster roll -- a bit too much mayo but lobster meat was delicious. Crispy rice spicy tuna -- love the crispy fried rice patty and the spicy tuna on top Great place to go for yummy rolls!

This is actually one of my favorite lunch spots. I absolutely love the decor and it has a very chill but hip vibe. The staff are always so kind and the sushi and sashimi here are amazing. Lunch time is always quiet, so you'll have no problem getting a table.

Fujiya has truly become a second home for us--not only because of the incredible food, but because of the amazing people who make every visit unforgettable. Special shoutout to Max, Michael, Sydney, and Violet for consistently going above and beyond with their service. We're always welcomed like family, and that level of care keeps us coming back. Every dish is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared, making each visit just as good as the last. Whenever we're craving sushi, there's no question--Fujiya is our go-to. Highly recommend to anyone looking for great food and even better service!

I've only ever done pick up here, so I can't speak to eating in. But the food was about average LA price, it took more than a normal amount of time to be prepared, but the benefit is it's open the latest in the area. So it was a nice treat after seeing a movie nearby.

I would recommend these 2 Sake White Peach drinks!!! The margarita version is so yummy, and the sake itself is smooth and easy to drink. The chicken teriyaki itself is so good, and you can see in the pictures that it's full of flavor. This miso is my favorite out of every place I've tried. The salad and the teriyaki dinner plate is filling, you get your monies worth! The waiters are sweet and helped us as soon as we sat down but the food did take a while to come out but the potions are big so as long you don't mind waiting a bit, this place is great and the aesthetic of the place is nice. They have cute cherry blooms decorations and tv's everywhere if you're watching a game.

I've been here before and it's normally pretty good but this time they brought out the food individually and then forgot about our rolls, so not only did we wait 30 minutes for rolls not received they brought out the wrong order. we then waited another 25 minutes for the correct rolls after being reassured that it would be out every 5 minutes. manager wasn't even helpful when we asked for a roll off, never coming back!!!!! read more

Used to come here 15 years ago then ownership changed and food was horrible. New ownership took over recently and everything has changed. Great atmosphere excellent customer service. Sushi was fresh. Definitely worth a try of all the sushi places in Burbank.. read more

Haven't eaten here in 9 years, and now I remember why. The fish tasted old, and I stopped eating it. And shortly thereafter I didn't feel so well. I will leave it at that. Don't need to support this local business anymore. Same thing happened almost a decade ago. I would be scared to even look in that kitchen. read more

Went there this weekend , restaurant was kind of empty, cheerful staff BUT the sushi is a lower class quality! And the Sushi rice is not packed right ! When I pick it up with your chopsticks it falls apart! The blue fin tuna is small pieces put together and not one piece ! Like the tool left over piece and put it on top of the rice ! That is not cool ! They charge a lot for the Blue Din tuna ! I will never go back there ! I mentioned to the waitress but she just smiled and left ! No manager Came and apologize read more

This place was awesome! We got seated right away on a friday night. Plenty of room to seat hungry people. The sushi was excellent! The music set the mood as a fun and upbeat place to dine! Our servers were the best! Both Liz and Joanna were extremely nice. Both Liz and Joanna make you feel like they really care about you as a customers. We were blessed to have the opportunity to speak with Liz for a few minutes while she took our order. Liz is one of the most genuinely sweet people you will ever meet. Thanks girls for making our evening a good one. Oh and thank you sushi chefs for making our yummy food and for making our tummy's happy. We will definitely be returning. read more

Apparently they only hire RUDE people here. It sucks that I go here so often and yet they ruined it for me. Getting my order WRONG and then blaming me. You would think I know my order by now enough to get it right. ALSO we are going through a PANDEMIC and they really wanted me to bring back the trash ass food they gave me. The staff did not know what they were talking about, they WASTED my time and RUINED my dinner. The person at the front desk needs to learn how to speak to people correctly. I WON'T be coming back here again, good luck if you do come here. How am I over here spending $60 on sushi and getting treated like this. I have worked in the service industry and know how to speak to the customers. Thanks for nothing, cheers. read more

My gf loved her curry udon noodles. And the outdoor seating is nice. That being said, we got there, ordered 2 bottles of Sake with an appetizer. Then we didn't hear back from the waitress for 40 minutes. Sitting outside in the middle table. Pretty visible. I was shocked that literally not one time were we approached in those 40 minutes. And 15 minutes into that period we already wanted both waters refilled and more napkins. Neither of which we got until I got up out of my seat(after 40 minutes) and approached the waitress while she was taking another tables order. The service was so horrid that I think we should of had the majority of it comped which is a big deal to me personally. I felt it warranted us just walking out but they gave us food, so I'd like to properly support the business as we still took their time and product. There's got to be a huge reason for that. That being said, I'm not sure if the waitress was new, we were pretty patient, but still very confused as to what happened. I got the seafood Udon which was nothing special to write home about either. read more

We were in Burbank from San Diego and stopped by this restaurant for lunch since we were craving for sushi. There were several Japanese's restaurants near the area on Yelp and Google map; however, this had reasonable priced sushi though they only served takeout. My husband and I had an order of rainbow rolls each and split the spicy tuna roll. It was very fresh and tasty. read more

I purchased many times at Fujiya and everything was fine until one day it wasn't. My to go order including spicy tuna was borderline bad so I could not eat it. I brought my food back to Fujiya untouched very next day. But the elder lady at the cashier refused to even deal with it, apologize or accept a return of the bad raw fish I felt not safe to eat. I looked at the sign on the window and realized it said "B". I thought "No wonder." and just left. I would not recommend eating their food or bringing your business there. I love to support my local businesses and it's too bad when there is no quality and no customer service. read more

This has become my favorite go to sushi spot on the weekdays and weekends. Did I mention they have a Beer Tower!? Try the Diablo roll to test how well you can endure the spice. The habanero gives it a fiery kick or two definitely recommended! Customer service is efficient and pleasant. I will come back soon ! read more

I've been here several times before, and it was ok. I recently met a friend for happy hour and met the new Owner. I had the sashimi salad and spicy scallops and they were delicious. The waitress Monica stated they now have 6 new craft draft beers and come January the place will have several 65 inch TVs and televise all sporting events so I guess I'll be here more often. read more

Our 5-year-old was charged a reduced rate, while our 3-year-old ate free, which was a nice bonus for families. The selection of meats was excellent, with plenty of options to choose from. They do have a 90-minute dining limit and a surcharge for excessive leftovers, but that wasn't an issue for us because everything was delicious. The appetizer selection was surprisingly large. We enjoyed the beef fried rice, noodles, a sushi roll, crispy tofu, chicken karaage, and shiitake mushrooms. The crispy tofu turned out to be spicier than we expected, so just keep that in mind if ordering for kids. However, spice lovers will probably enjoy it! The chicken karaage was a huge hit with the kids, especially with the spicy mayo on the side. The shiitake mushrooms were also incredibly flavorful and well-seasoned. We also ordered crispy rice spicy tuna, we loved it too! What really stood out was the service. Every server we encountered was kind, attentive, and genuinely friendly. Instead of simply dropping off food and walking away, they took time to check in, ask how we were doing, and connect with us. That personal touch made the experience feel special. We only ordered water since we had already had plenty of drinks earlier in the day, but they offer a variety of beverages as well. For dessert, we tried the mochi ice cream special--two for $5--which was a fantastic deal. In San Diego, it's common to pay around $5 for just one mochi ice cream, so we were pleasantly surprised. YAKUMI BOX + THE DineLA MENU On the regular menu, the Yakima Box is $29 and no drink's included. During DineLA week, this filling lunch choice was just $25 and came with a shōchū cocktail as a refreshing bonus. It included: + Sunomono or seaweed salad + 1 piece of tuna sushi + 2 pieces each of yellowtail, salmon, and albacore topped with fried shallots (Note: It's not the fresh green scallions with ponzu sauce recipe) + A choice of 2 classic rolls like 2-piece baked crab roll, or 4-pieces of yellowtail jalapeño, spicy tuna, spicy salmon, avocado, and California roll (Note: The crab roll was buttery and tasty; the spicy tuna was standard) + My bonus drink: Mango Lychee Shochu The fish was fresh, the mango lychee cocktail was refreshing. A Slow, Rude Restaurant Three weeks ago, Kabuki had an extremely long wait and told us there was no table available for our group of seven. My husband then called Fujiya, and the woman who answered the phone said she would make a table for us. Fortunately, it wasn't too busy, and thanks to the female owner--or manager--we were able to enjoy a pleasant and delicious birthday dinner. Because of that good experience, we came back again last weekend. Unfortunately, this time it was extremely slow, and the service was a mess. When we tried to ask about our food, a male server wearing glasses ignored us, walked straight to the sushi bar, and then stood there laughing with other servers while looking at our table. It was very uncomfortable and unpleasant. To make matters worse, after noticing that we left a smaller tip, he abruptly walked off toward the restroom area. We returned because we remembered it as a place with good service, but after this experience, we do not want to come back again. read more

We tried the iced matcha tea and hot sake, which were both perfect pairings for the meal. The new menu items were a pleasant surprise! The Snowy Fuji roll had a perfect crunchy outside and soft inside, packed with amazing flavor. The Creamy Salmon was also a standout, rich, smooth, and delicious. Wow, Amazing Food! I've been to this sushi spot a few times, and it's easily one of my favorites. The food is incredible, with a great variety of sushi and other menu options to choose from. The ambiance adds to the experience and makes it a place I love coming back to. However, the service was a bit of a letdown this time. One waiter slammed the plate down on my table, which felt unnecessary, and another server gave me attitude when I simply asked for extra spicy mayo. If it weren't for these moments of passive-aggressiveness, this place would've been a solid 5/5 for me. What happened? Used to love coming to this place, but hadn't been in a while. It popped up on my dinner search, so I thought I'd order for delivery. Dinner order at 17-30 on Thursday. I'm pretty sure the rice they used for the sushi was left over from the lunch service. Look how 'old' it looks in the pic - not adjusted, five minutes after it was delivered. They could have at least used new rice. The whole presentation seems to be comprised of 'not fresh' ingredients. I know things are tight for restaurants / owners, but is it too much to ask for fresh? Needless to say, we had something else for dinner. Can't go back until it's changed. Sorry this isn't a better review. read more

I have nothing but the most amazing things to say about this restaurant. You are looking at a very very very happy man eating delicious food. To start, the level of grace and respect the employees demonstrated was Stellar. The gentleman on the phone was very kind and informative. There was a couple there as well. (Maybe the owners?) who were so respectful and polite. And they chef was all personality while preparing this giant order for 2! I couldn't say one negative thing about this establishment. After having a family movie night at burbank AMC theatre, we tried this new sushi place and it became one of my favorite sushi spot. We tried 20 pcs sushi combo for the first time per our server's recommendation and it was really great. You can tell they use fresh, high quality fish because literally everything just melts in your mouth. And my kids loved lobster tail dynamite roll and paparazzi(?) roll. The food is fine, but the music is just too loud. It's hard to hear the person in front of you because the speakers are blaring. It sounds like you're sitting in a nightclub. I'm fine with music, but this was the loudest I'd heard in a restaurant. This isn't a place I'd return because it's hard to even have a conversation with the person in front of you. read more

First and last .. food was ok. Just. Ok. .. but worst service ever for restaurant I came on Feb 20. . I used to be a regular customer at octopus but i went to Fujiya, which is across the street, the fish there is fresh, the inside is very pretty, and the staff is friendly. The food came out quick which is a plus. I ordered Toro (fatty tuna) which is my favorite dish, it came out fresh and delicious. read more
