Upon walking in, we were greeted enthusiastically. It was refreshing. Our server was promptly at our table to get our dinner experience underway! Executive Chef Gerald Green made the visit even more special by personally preparing my dessert and bringing it upstairs. The Almond Berry Basket with Cinnamon Ice Cream was delicious and beautiful! For my main course, I experienced the Chrispy Diamond Scored Flounder! This was a fantastic choice that I recommend! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The upstairs was beautifully decorated and perfect for date night![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We had a reservation at a different restaurant but ended up being there almost an hour before we were even brought any water or drinks. We left and ended up at Garibaldi's! They were able to seat our party of 8 with short notice. Our server, Drew, was awesome! He was knowledgeable about the menu and very attentive. The food and drinks were great as well. I had the seared sea scallops, which were perfectly cooked and served with a risotto. Everyone at our table enjoyed their food and experience.

It's always an enjoyable evening at Garibaldis. Great food, classic cocktails, lovely upscale restaurant. My favorite starter is their Olive Bowl with Mediterranean olives and a Tunisian olive mix. Yummy. For the dinner entree I opted for the 5 Layer Lasagna of mozzarella and ricotta cheeses, veal, beef and Italian sausage and their marinara - decadent! I really stepped out of my box by ordering the Lasagna as my standard order at Garibaldis is their Crispy Scored flounder. Thankfully, my son shared a bit of his, and as always, it was delicious! In a side note, if you're wanting to entertain a large group/party/dinner Garibaldis has a gorgeous mirrored room upstairs for your fabulous event. Can't wait to return!

This meal was the highlight of our New Year's Eve! Our waitress Clara was so sweet and helpful with us, selecting the perfect food. We had the stone, crab claws, fried oysters, raw oysters, the halibut special, and the lobster special. All along with a bottle of champagne and a complementary crème brûlée to congratulate us on our recent engagement. Such a memorable meal I would recommend this restaurant to anyone going to Savannah.

Garibaldis is chic, gorgeous inside, has genuinely good service and the food is phenomenal! I am so happy my friend took me here this stay! She said it was her favorite spot and it's now mine too! You have to sit upstairs, the bottom doesn't do the place justice even though it's really nice. Very swanky! ;-) We ordered the chicken piccata to share with the mushroom risotto, and had two salads! Our tab was so affordable! I could y believe it. The Mushroom risotto is a MUST- it's pure butter in your mouth and sooo rich and good! A few bites is all you need. The salads were massive! I had the artichoke salad which was huge and they split our entree for us without us having to ask. This place is very underrated! 5 stars all around and such a great date night!

Hearts of Palm Salad - herb dressing was smooth, creamy and complementary.

This was our first visit, and it has a nice, upscale, yet comfortable ambience. We were seated at a cozy, upholstered bench seat table for two. The seat cushion definitely needed to be replaced as it was worn out and not too comfortable. For starters, I had a cup of jambalaya (really spicy, but good), she had the poached pear salad and loved it. For entrées, she went with the Carbonara and I had the Chicken Parmesan. Her Carbonara was tasty, but we both thought it would be better with either spaghetti or fettuccine noodles versus the shell noodles. My Chicken Parmesan was very average tasting. Menu is a little on the pricier side. Arnold did an excellent job serving us!

Ask the Community - Garibaldi's Cafe

Would I be out of place to wear a suit jacket?

No you'd be fine. It's a romantic place and folks wear nice clothes. We saw quite a few jackets (including my husband's) when we were there.

Is this a good place for an early date? Her favorite food is Italian

Garibaldi's is a very good restaurant but i wouldn't recommend it for Italian food. It's more of a seafood place. For Italian, I'd go to Corleone's, which is nearby.

If we could afford to stay at this boutique hotel, we would! Breakfast gave us the opportunity to appreciate the beauty of the dining area, each order a sweet or savory item and share, and imagine what staying here would be like. Service was amazing with lots of other local recommendations for dining (which we took and were spot-on). Food was delicious with every bite. It's a beautiful spot. Working in the funeral industry myself, it was also neat to know it used to be a funeral home.

We decided to try the bar here because it was cute and we had never been. To start off the location is absolutely breathtaking. This place is like the places you see in the movies. We arrived around 9ish and there were only two others at the bar. We were served water and given the menu to review. We decided to just make it a wine night and hang out to enjoy each other's company. The vibe was intimate and lowkey. The establishment was clean. Every little detail you could think of was thought of here. Now I need to give the biggest thank you to the bartenders. We had Meredith and a gentleman serve us. The care and hospitality we received was unmatched. I can't even describe another service experience that has topped the way I was treated here. They genuinely took care of my friend and I and I have been raving about them ever since! The kitchen was closed and somehow I still received my pasta... I was really moved and in tears from this gesture. I missed the kitchen closing and they told me it was closed and I was genuinely not upset but the fact that the bartender went above and beyond to the kitchen to make it happen for me was something I will never forget. FINAL VERDICT: fairly priced and amazing quality! There was a party upstairs but you have to be a member of the club or a guest at their hotel. I love the exclusivity around it. I also want to add the bathroom was beautiful. I'm so happy I was able to check out the Saint Bibiana. This was truly an experience unlike any other!

That search led me to The Olde Pink House--a magnificent historic mansion dating back to 1771, now home to one of Savannah's most memorable restaurants. The décor is beautiful, with antique furnishings, fireplaces, elegant woodwork, chandeliers, and enough historical character to make any ghost hunter feel immediately at home. The building is surprisingly large, with numerous dining rooms, each decorated and arranged differently. Exploring it feels almost like wandering through a well-preserved haunted mansion--though thankfully, the staff were much friendlier than the ghosts I had recently captured. The food was excellent, and everyone in our party enjoyed what they ordered. I'm not usually much of a beer drinker, but I tried the Hostess City, a craft beer brewed exclusively for The Olde Pink House, and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. Our server was wonderful, and we were even able to exchange ghost stories with them. We all had a good laugh, although I'm fairly certain one of the portraits nearby was laughing along with us. We arrived dressed entirely in black, and not a single person batted an eye. In Savannah, this is apparently considered perfectly respectable evening attire--or perhaps everyone simply assumed we were attending a funeral for one of the restless dead. After dinner, we asked whether we could explore the other sections of the restaurant, and we were told it would be no problem. We were able to visit the different dining rooms and examine the antiques and objects respectfully without disturbing the other guests. Be sure to visit the bar downstairs, Planters Tavern. It has a wonderfully haunted atmosphere, with brick walls, old-world décor, and a beautiful fireplace that must be especially inviting during the winter months. The basement's fireplaces were reportedly part of the home's original kitchen, which only adds to the feeling that the room remembers far more than it lets on. The Olde Pink House offers excellent food, beautiful surroundings, friendly service, and just enough supernatural atmosphere to keep a ghost hunter interested. I arrived looking for somewhere to recover from the night's haunting. I left well fed, pleasantly spirits-laden, and only mildly concerned that one of the ghosts may have followed me home.
