I just moved here from Miami and I am shocked by the negative reviews on this place. I went to eat here yesterday and I not only had the sweetest waitress, but I thought the food was so good when I got home I FaceTime to my mom to tell her when she comes to visit me we have to go!! The place was quiet and honestly, I didn't notice any kind of smell that the other reviews are talking about. Parking was very easy. I'm sure you don't have to re-explained how the system works since a ton of reviews here talk about it, but I thought the portions were very generous. I got the build your own bowl and because it was my first time there I decided to try some of every meat and finish off with the vegetables and sauces that I'm a big fan of. Everything that I had tasted delicious although I do wish the shrimp was a bit bigger . I didn't know that they would cook my sauces in with my food, but that was a big plus, especially since they let you go back to the sauce area and pour more on . I'm definitely going to be coming back and a few people that I've told I've been there have told me how that's there go to place so I'm confused how this isn't a five star ?! read more

Genghis Grill is similar to YC's Mongolian in Arizona. If you live in AZ, you know what I'm referring to. The idea is quite simple-- they have various items you can order straight off of the menu, or you can create your own bowl, which is what most people do. You walk up to the counter, where there's various raw meats and then vegetables, sauces, and spice mixes to add to your bowl. Think Chipotle, but you do it on your own. Once you've made your bowl, you bring it to the chef, who cooks it in the sauce(s) you picked. I thought the food was pretty good for the price, which was under $30 for two people. The chef did a good job in cooking the meat. Two things I didn't like was the service, which was friendly but rather unorganized, and the smell. The place has a strong sewer smell, as noted by some other reviewers. If the place was cleaner, smelled better, and had more efficient service, I'd rate it higher. Food took forever and when they finally brought the food to the table they brought one bowl at a time instead of bringing the table together. Food wasn't great. Not very flavorful. Took my family to this restaurant yesterday around 3 pm yesterday and waited at the front desk for about 5 mins and no one ever came. There was no one in the restaurant. No customers and not a single worker anywhere to be found. I wandered around the restaurant, the bathrooms, even went back to the employee area and could not find anyone. Our total wait time was probably 10 minutes before we left and found another restaurant. Wanted to make sure that the owners are aware that no one is running this store and are leaving it unattended for long periods of time. read more

We had an amazing experience at a Genghis Grill in Las Vegas, so we decided to give this one a try. We came in around 7:50pm, there were just a few people inside eating. We waited at the front door for a couple of minutes before a staff member realized we were there. We were seated across from a side door near the drink fountain, which was for some reason propped wide open. It was dark and chilly outside, so we could feel a chill coming inside since we were sitting right in front of the door. Our table was very sticky for some reason, but we didn't complain about it. Our server came over and asked what we wanted. She didn't take the time to explain how the bowls and menu worked, but luckily, we already knew from our experience in Las Vegas. We both ordered the red bowl with regular noodles. She handed us our silver bowls and we went up to the bar. At this point during the evening, several containers of ingredients on the bar were empty. The tofu container only had a few chunks of tofu in it, the cilantro container was empty, the onion container was empty, when we asked for more cilantro, we were told they didn't have any. We had to wait a few minutes while the woman refilled some of the containers for us. After filling our bowls, we headed over to the cooks, they didn't acknowledge us, they were busy laughing and talking to each other. We left our bowls on the counter and went to sit back at our table. While we were sitting at our table, we remembered that our red bowls actually were supposed to come with two choice of side options (Rice, noodles, rice noodles, or both). Or server never mentioned this to us when she took our order. We just said "Oh well", and waited for our food. Our food arrived piping hot at our table. We were both very pleased with the flavors we chose for our bowls. We never saw our server again. A man did stop by our table when we were about done with our meal, I asked him for our check. He brought us a pretty cool hand-held device and told us to make our payment on it. We swiped our card, and headed out. Overall, the food was very delicious and cooked well. The service really could've been better though. The server should've checked to see if we needed our drinks filled during our meal. Also, sitting us across from an open door when it was 62 degrees outside was a little disappointing. I'm not sure what time they close, but I really think while they are serving customers, they should keep full containers on the bar so customers don't have to wait for staff to refill them. This may be my last Dine-in experience for a while, I hear the governor may announce at noon today, the closing of all dining-in restaurants for the state of Texas. Had a wonderful conversation with Caleb, the general manager here. He is very customer and employee friendly!Everything was available and ready to make my perfect bowl of nothing but protein! Since you handbill your bowl, it's really difficult to complain about anything other than how it's cooked or the quality of the food. The food quality is excellent, and always cook just the way I want it. If you love protein like I do, be sure to pack the meat into the bowl... and then add whatever you want to it, on top. For a Saturday night to have one waiter that's horribly overworked as well as stressed about numerous complaints is ridiculous. The prices are terrible for the quality and taste as well as all the extra charges having no silverware no refills because the one waitress could not keep up with so many people. I got teriyaki chicken and subbed in noodles. It took a really long time to come out, and the dish was very salty. The seasoning pooled at the bottom, which I suspect is why it felt so salty. My boyfriend got fried rice and asked them to withhold the shrimp. His dish had loads of shrimp and he had to pick out all of them. read more

We love this restaurant but hadn't been to this location before. Was easy to get to lots of close parking. We were greeted at the door. Last time we went they weren't letting you serve yourself (covid) but back to normal. We got regular bowls and they seem to have added lots more choices of meats-but saw the lime chicken, which I loved is gone. We piled out bowls high then watched them cook it. We always get their udon noodles. They now charge 49c for an added egg-we did this time but probably won't next time I go. My family and I came here for an early dinner. The meats and veggies looked fresh. The sauces were a good variety. The udon noodles did not taste like udon and the rice bases was a bit hard. First bad experience at a Genghis Grill. Bad food . Bad service. Bad wait times. There was only 1 server there. She warned us that service would be slow since a group of 20 had just arrived. I wish we had left. We waited a long time for her to take our orders but we had been warned, so no big deal. She asked if we wanted eggs. We said no eggs for anyone. After filling our bowls and leaving them with the cook we waited another long time. All the bowls came back with eggs. My son didn't mind but my daughter and I can't stand eggs. She decided to try and eat hers but I told the server that I had asked for no egg. She took the bowl back. She brought it back a good while later. They had picked through the bowl and picked out the larger chunks of eggs and left the smaller chunks in. After having someone pick through the food I decided not to eat it. The cook also burnt everything from the bowl. . There was almost nothing left of the vegetables and what was left was vey charred and small. I've probably eaten at various Genghis Grills at least 30-40 times and have never had a bad experience but, wow, this was so bad. read more

I used to love Genghis Grill but the place has gone way downhill. There was one waiter for the entire restaurant with about 8 active tables, so service was slow, although the waiter did the best he could under the circumstances. My biggest disappointment was that the food selection has decreased. Gone are the pork, the fresh green beans, and the diced potatoes from the food bar. Not to mention a medium bowl is almost $16 now. So the price is high, the service is slow, and the variety of food has decreased. It's such a shame! read more

I missed this place soo much.  There have been a few changes since we lived here last, but they're improvements.  Came by for lunch, first ones in at opening.  First clue of how anxious we were.  We got 3 lunch bowls, regular size $10 each.  What I love are all the protein options.  I'm mainly a steak girl, and they have both cubes and Carne asada.  Quite a few options for seafood also, I always go with the shrimp.  The sauces have changed, so with the help of the manager, Shannon, I found the exact one I was looking for, D3 sweet and savory.  I chose the noodles, but the fried rice is also incredible.  Our service was great, Shannon is amazing!  We'll return no doubt about that! read more

It's been quite some time since I've been to this location. But i do have to say the cleanliness and service has gone downhill. The food is great as always but the environment makes you want to take out. They are looking for help so I'm hoping that is the reason. The bathrooms are filthy, no soap or paper towels. I did like that you were able to open the door with your foot, but looks like someone broke that off. The soda machine wasn't working and the tables are barely wiped down with remnants of food in the corner of the table and seat. It's a shame because this was the one of the better locations. Hope they can turn things around and management can be more proactive with this location. read more

She always have pot stickers and this is one of the dish of menu that she never enve look up to and just ordered as soon as we settled Here you can select the type of bowl you want and you can any number of toppings that includes chicken, pork, crab, fish, shrimp and generally all veggies. You can select your spices and the sauces. Then you can select the type starch you want and eggs. And after you give all.your toppings and sauces, chef cooked really well and you can taste every flavour of spices you have selected. The ambience is cool and I think they have renovated recently as it's been a while we have been here. And team members are friendly and patiently explains the process of ordering if you new to the restaurant. Also, they have started a new rewards program through you can avail new coupons and offers through their app, like we have redeemed free drink today.
