I walked up and down the streets of laguna to find lunch! I stubbled across this place and so happy I did! The sangria was so refreshing on the warm day alongside calamari and Falafel! I have never had such tender pieces of Calamari and they were not greasy at all! The falafel was some of the best I have ever had and was so good with their yogurt sauce! Nice location right on South Coast Highway in Laguna Beach. If the weather is cold, you can request to have the patio heater on. Had the Turkish breakfast with Turkish tea and nothing special. They refill your bread basket but low quality bread and small croissants and not fresh. The bill for 6 people was $192 not including the tip. Servers were very nice and friendly. Next time I rather go upstairs and enjoy the food, atmosphere and view from "South of Nick's Laguna Beach". read more

The food is not cooked on demand and second why the hell would you serve me less than warm almost cold food? We've been to GG's twice now and the food is amazing!! It's one of the few places where we actually talk about and remember the food afterwards. We were in the area doing some wedding venue shopping and stopped by this restaurant for lunch. Oh man was it sooo worth it! We got the Sultans tray and I was just blown away. The ravioli was good but if you're going to GGs for that then you might as well go to an Italian restaurant. Their dolmas were awesome though!! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The only thing a little concerning was that there was no social distancing between tables what so ever. They have a lovely happy hour here, very affordable considering you are on PCH and in walking distance to the beach. Service was wonderful, you are very well taken care of, fast and friendly, food was ready quickly and very fresh. They have a great selection of $5 small plates, all of them sounded delicious, this is a great place to take a group of friends and be able to sample more. I really enjoyed the chicken kebab and salad. Cooked well, tender and nicely seasoned, the salad very fresh and an amazing dressing, lightly sweet. The kofte sliders and fries also very tasty, I loved the tzatziki sauce with the sliders, very very good. Love their outside patio, plenty of heaters should it get chilly out. Foood is great as usual but Terrible experience here today, I think they have a new manager, a guy I haven't seen before , his name is Manu I believe - first of all it's freezing outside , I have a small dog he said I couldn't bring in, ok no problem..ask if he can turn on the heating lamp outside he says no..ok. He was so non welcoming or inviting ..anyways I sit outside order the kebab eskandar , I ask for fries instead of rice ..they bring out the kebab but no pita bread in the plate, how? Kebab eskandar comes w pita bread it's part of the dish , but I guess because I asked for fries instead of rice I don't get pita bread in my eskender..ridiculous , they never even told me this.. Today we went to this restaurant with my friends to eat some dessert and drink coffee. When we asked for check instead of bringing the our receipt she brought the post machine.When i am paying we was talking with the girls and instead of leaving $5 tip i accidentally left 0.50. Before i see the receipt she right away and loudly said front of my friend "by the way u left only 0.50 as a tip" She not even give me a chance to see the receipt and understand my mistake.I felt so shy and try to pay again and she said no i cant take it. It looks so cheap for her to react like that. I always come there and many times i left good tips. I don't thinks so i will go there again. Even my friends found her reaction very rude. My wife and I have been going to this local place for many years and the food has only gotten better over time. They are a family run business that cares about the people they serve and offer good value. It is located very close to the center of town with a large parking structure behind the place. I share this not wanting it to become even more crowded, but they deserve the praise as they worked very hard to build this successful business. read more

Somehow Yelp seems to have missed out showing off one of the better kept secrets of Laguna Beach, this well placed Mediterranean restaurant not far from Pacific Edge hotel and the rest of downtown. Had the Pineapple Chartreuse and Falafel appetizer to start, followed by Lobster Ravioli and a Beet and Feta salad with Gyro Meat. All the food was yummy- if anything, I felt the tomatoes and shrimp on the plate of Lobster Ravioli didn't add anything and wouldn't be missed. You can totally miss it zooming over the hill, in a plaza with an abundant collection of galleries, but it's well worth a stop to take the chill off the evening- outdoor dining at its finest! read more

So we stopped by, sat outside of the dining area and had dessert. I didn't try their Turkish coffee but my dad thoroughly enjoyed it (not to mention the presentation when received). My parents and I did split their Turkish ice cream. And I must say this is my new favorite type of ice cream over non-Turkish ice cream. Try it, trust me you'll love it! Cute little place in Laguna! Came here for a company dinner the other night and recall coming during lunch about 2 years back. This place is quite small and the restaurant setup is slightly weird. They have an outdoor patio which is separate from their indoor restaurant. It's about 20 steps away from each other. So keep that in mind! My coworker made a reservation and by the time we got there the table was set up and we were just waiting on the rest of our colleagues to arrive. We came with a group of 12 , and let me tell ya, we took up half the indoor restaurant just to give you an idea how small the place is. We ordered a couple appetizers and drinks to start. The orders came out fairly quick and everything was really good. I like that they had 3 types of cuisine : Turkish, Mediterranean and Italian. Their menu was quite large which was great because everyone wanted something different! For my main course I got the seafood pasta which was REALLY good. It was a decent size in which I struggled to finish, I had a couple bites left but called it quits! All in all, the service was great, the food was good and the owners were very nice and friendly. We went there on a Sunday for breakfast. Tried the sunday's breakfast tray and it was fantastic! The variety of the food and the fact that two people could share made it one of the best breakfasts we've had in a long time. We also tried their Turkish coffee and tea which were both great. Sadly a bad experience. If we hadnt paid $42 dollara wach for the seabass, I would keep my mouth shut. The waitress was rude and was on her phone most of the visit. The seabass(if it was) was dripoing in butter and had numerous bones. Failed to do anything to make it right. Will not be back. read more

Pretty weird experience. Sat down for some drinks. We had already eaten and just wanted to relax at a non-crowded patio. Ordered some Peroni and got Corona (the beer). The server was like "well corona is pretty good"... lol not what we ordered but sure. Waitress then asked us what we wanted for dinner. We said we're just having drinks. Waitress started scolding us saying that we needed to order an appetizer. Really weird. They just had one other large table and the rest of the seats were empty. I'd imagine if you weren't busy you'd want to at least look busier and wouldn't mind serving low effort drinks. Normally I wouldn't comment but pretty weird experience. I haven't been treated that rudely at a place. Sure you can argue you have to "re-set up" but what effort is that? Spray the table and get a new bottle of water? Just really weird I can't think of a good reason to treat people like that. read more

Charming restaurant by laguna beach. We made reservations ahead of time but if you go early on a weekday, you don't need to. The service was prompt and attentive. The ambiance is nice. The staff is super friendly and will explain anything you need. We ordered the Ali nazik and lobster ravioli as mains and borek as the appetizer. The tzatziki that came with the borek was amazing. Ali nazik was a little salty for my taste and the eggplant portion was just a tad bitter. I appreciated that it came with both rice and bread. The bread was perfectly done, a little crisp on one side and soft on the other. Lobster ravioli was quite good but a liiiitle overdone for my taste. The sauce was really good though! A quaint Mediterranean restaurant tucked into a plaza of realtor offices but the perfect place to stop for a snack when perusing galleries or boutique shopping. They had a gorgeous patio with lights and greenery, but because we had a dog, we were not allowed to sit in that area. We ordered the mezze platter and really enjoyed the spread which consisted of borek, dolmas, falafel, pita, feta, a charred eggplant dip, and lentil patties.
