I don't understand how this place has so many stars. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger, fries, and a medium drink... and my total was $16.08. I was speechless. I just handed over my CC, because I didn't know what to say. My fault for not looking at the menu first, so that's on me... I just never imagined it would be so expensive. Not for a dingy hole-in-the-wall burger joint. Maybe they overcharged me by mistake? It's entirely possible, seeing as they add up your order on an old-school manual adding machine, but I'm not willing to go back to find out. The food could have been OK.. but the bun was stale. The fries were fine. I say save your money and just hit Whataburger, man - it's in the same parking lot. Or drive to someplace nicer. read more

The place is a hole-in-the-wall with fresh burgers that are great! The customer service is outstanding. The pies look good; we didn't get a chance to try them as this is only our first time visiting this place but we are definitely coming back to try more items. We are sure to visit Giant Hamburgers every time we come to Mesa. The owner and cook are very friendly and the hamburgers are great! The quality of the meat is excellent and I am never disappointed. They only serve one size fries - let's call the size "more than one person should eat"! To top off a nice double cheese burger with all the fixings is usually a strawberry shake. It's a decent burger, it is a bit on the pricey side! I am a big believer in if I can recreate this at home it's not worth a ton of stars, the ding here was the bun was hard like it had been sitting out all day! Does not make for an enjoyable meal! We had wanted to go to one of the new popular chains for a burger but for some reason they were closed so we thought we would give these guys a shot. The burgers are always delicious as are the fries. I can not say this for the chili fries. The chili was subpar but I'd asked for onions and cheese. Minimal onion and the cheese was, well I am not sure what kind. It was awful. Not melted. I'm going to guess a generic American cheese. Maybe. The fries were not the ones you get when you order a burger. They are shoestring thin and some were cold in the middle. I won't make that mistake again. It was an expensive mistake! read more

Reminds me of what a 60's luncheonette might have been like. Short order grill set up like Waffle House I suppose. BUT Just an ok cheese burger. Bun was very fresh but patty was greasy and flavorless. Loads of iceberg lettuce, large slice of white onion and tomato.
