Fast, friendly and decent prices. We went on a Friday evening, which wasn't too busy though the bar area seemed lively. Our waitress was very nice and the food came out quickly. I've been coming here for a long time and always order off their happy hour menu with is offered until late. $12.95 for a pitcher of Shock Top and hot saki and tons of rolls for $5.95 and $6.95. This is not the best sushi I've ever had but it's definitely the best I've had for the price. The best sushi I've had was 3-4 times the price. Waited for the sushi man to make the sushi, there was only one making sushi for probably 7 different customer and their party. First visit here based on reviews and I was not disappointed. We came in for lunch, $18.99 a person for the all you can eat menu. There was a good selection of rolls. Most rolls were 8 pieces with a few that are 4. The sushi was good and so were the appetizers. They had plenty of workers so their service was nothing short of great! First off, love, love, their food! Great deals on drinks and sushi. Fresh and delicious. Been coming here for a while now, but last two times we've had really bad service. Seating us and taking orders, then pretty much forgot about us. Both times no one asked if we wanted another drink or sushi roll, etc... So we normally have our 2 Favorite Places of all you can eat sushi in Corona however I work in Corona and I had just drove out there earlier in the day for my work shift and I didn't want to drive back out that way tonight for dinner so we decided to look up and all you can eat sushi place near us. We found this place the reviews on Facebook and yelp we're great so we thought we would try it. We get there and there's a little bit of a wait to be seated because they had just sat a larger party and they were cleaning off the table for us, which of course is fine. So at this point our table has been cleaned for about 10 minutes, meanwhile husband & I were standing there holding a baby and a toddler and you know that does end up being pretty heavy when you're standing for a while. I asked the waiter who had walked by if that was our table, and if it was finished. He then asked the lady which I'm assuming is the owner or the manager. She gave him an attitude and was like yeah that's their table they can sit there. As if I was stupid for not setting myself. I was already a little upset however my son was so excited to eat sushi we weren't going to leave over something so small. We get seated and I noticed a few of our soy sauce trays were dirty. No worries quick fix, I Nicely let the server know. Let me tell you the food here is great I will not lie about that and I am very disappointed that I will never be coming back because of how We were treated. So we order all you can eat for four adults, and four drinks, not water cups. (My husband, brother, his girlfriend, and myself.) we evened ordered fresh wasabi , which was a four dollar extra charge. Clearly the price of our meal tonight wasn't an issue. The server asked me what my son was getting, I told him a side of steamed rice, California roll, with no avocado and no cucumber. And the dinner went on. the service was pretty slow we were there for almost 1.5 hours and I never got a refill. We weren't done eating yet nor have we received the bill when the lady came to me and made a comment about the way my son was eating his sushi. She said, he only ate the inside? We will have to charge for you. With a complete attitude, my husband said that's fine charge us, but she keep on going. I was so embarrassed that she would treat us like that, I told her that we wouldn't be coming back, and we NEVER once arguing with her about paying for any extra charges. . Then she came back to our table telling me how I should of ordered my sons food differently, ( crab meat only) and it was rude of him to only eat the inside. And this is where I started to get really upset. Please do not tell me how my son should eat his food, we are paying for his meal, you are getting your money for it, so please let us be and finish our meal. She wouldn't let it go and she kept telling me how rude it was and I said I apologize if you think it's rude I've never had an issue like this before my son doesn't want to eat the crab meat out of a bowl he likes eating it like sushi he's four years old. I finally just said please give me the bill I want to leave I'm so upset I can't even finish my meal we only did two rounds of all you can eat sushi. we didn't even finish our second round because we were all so upset. My son was so excited to get green tea ice cream and we didn't even make it that far because she was completely rude to us and I didn't want to be in that place for one minute longer. As we were walking out the door she kept arguing with me and here's the thing we never argued to pay the charges. Just do whatever you need to charge us just stop treating us so rudely. Our bill was $140. I don't think it was worth her giving us a hard time about how my son ate two California rolls. Therefore, we would never be back. We all work hard for our money, so spend such a high amount of money and be treated so poorly was beyond me. read more

The food was great. I was in and out in 30 minutes. The service was great except for an older lady, which seams to be the owner, who was SUPER RUDE to the lady who cleaned the tables. LOVE this place! My co-workers and I come here after work atleast 4-6 times a month and that is not including coming here on my own or with my family atleast twice a week (usually to pick up my sushi to go!)...love the prices. My children always order the California rolls which is $4.25 unless you order the lunch special which is a few cents more. My fave is the Hawaiian roll...ONO and the fish is fresh! I went to Gin sushi today for the first time, because my daughter recommended it and I found a roach underneath my soy sauce bowl. When I told the waiter, he crumpled it up w a napkin and put it in his pocket. If they have one roach, I am sure there is more. I will never eat there again! read more

Their Spanish Roll is incredible!! I have had sushi everywhere from New York to Los Angeles and this is the place to go if you are looking for a friendly atmosphere and fresh food! Amazing sushi and excellent service! I've heard about how great this place is and today was my first visit. Starting out with the service, it was 5+ stars. Everybody was very friendly and they continually checked on our table to make sure our drinks were refilled and empty dishes were cleared. As far as the sushi, it was the best I've had. In addition to that, their prices are a bit less than other places I've visited in the area. I also heard they are family owned which always make me feel better when supporting our local businesses. Finally found an AYCE sushi joint that came out to my expectations. Best AYCE sushi I've had. Small mom and pop type of restaurant and that the chefs were actually Japanese was another one for me that's a plus. My husband and I definitely enjoyed our experience here at Gin. It was about $25 per person and we did 2 rounds that filled us up especially for us being hungry after running errands and trying to make it prior to it closing up for the night. Staff and waitress were not disappointing at all. Food was high quality the fish was so fresh especially the salmon. Sushi had less rice and more filling which was another hit. Thanks for serving us! Everything was fine UNTIL the owner everyone is talking about, came out to our table and made a rude comment about us not finishing out roll. My girlfriend and I went for a late lunch and got the AYCE. We were on our second round and couldn't finish the last roll. I had one piece of that calamari roll and got a little grossed out with the sweetness of it. The owner came out of nowhere walking with her phone in her had which seemed to be blaring some kind of soap opera. She approached our table and looked down on what was left on the plate and said rudely that they charge for what we don't eat but that this time they won't charge. Then she said that we can't take it home....which was fine because we didn't want to take anything! We didn't even mention that we wanted it. It totally killed our mood.
