DON'T PLACE AN ORDER FOR DELIVERY! Placed an online order at 5:30 and site said the order would be delivered between 6:38-6:48. Called at 7:15 and again at 7:30 and they said it'd be here any minute. Arrived at almost 8:15, the pizza was cold and hard, salad was hot, tiramisu was melted into a mess and my kids meal was cold and had fries instead of broccoli. Was not cheap either. First time I ordered the man I placed my order with was very sweet. When we picked up our order it was good it was just lacking SAUCE. As if they're running short on sauce and they smear a teaspoon on my pizza. With missing sauce spots on the cheese. Be aware if you have an ALLERGY or INTOLERANCE to GLUTEN Second time I ordered, I was on the phone for over five minutes. We place our order, we made the woman aware about the allergy and she told us to wait. We waited and waited. We asked if they had Feta cheese and she said no. She tells us Gluten Free comes in "small, medium and large" we asked her if the menu changed since last time we came it only came in one size. Ordered some food with missing items, most food was cold and soggy, definitely not as tasty as I remembered Giordano's to be.

What a disappointment on take-out order. I spent $55 for a chicken parmesan dinner, ($15.15) 9 chicken wings ($19.65) and an entree Caesar salad ($9.75). Added a 15% tip (6.68). I asked for a piece of French bread for my pasta dinner and was told upon pick up it would cost me $2.10 for a piece of bread. You've got to be kidding me. Since I paid online I didn't have my purse with me. What I should have said is take it out of the tip. So much for (lack of) customer service. How do you expect return patrons with the portions and prices the way they are. And... A piece of bread!!! In addition, the entree Caesar salad was so small in the smallest container for $10. I actually took a pic just in case you didn't believe that my salad filled 1/2 of the paper container. Two more things...the wings only 9 -- really for $19.65? I would not have ordered them if the online menu actually stated how many they were for $19. The chicken parm dinner had so little spaghetti and spaghetti sauce it was laughable. Took a pic of the container it came in. Just in case you didn't believe me. I understand that prices have gone up recently but portion sizes are important or at least the appearance of portion sizes should be fair to the customer. The food albeit limited was good. What a wonderful and pleasant server we had. Heather was attentive, sweet and informative. She was fast on refills and checking on us. Love the old Giordano's ambience in a clearly newly constructed building. The pizza could not have been better. Chicago deep dish at its finest. Cheese curd appetizer was delicious and the calamari was just ok (kind of chewy). Loved the old photos and memorabilia on the wall. I was in Illinois for a brief moment, so I decided to stop in for lunch.. as I walked in there was a guy at the counter stating they're having issues with the plumbing( and the dining room was not open) and to come back after 3pm. So I politely ask if I can place a take out order, he replied yes. He told me to give the order about 30 mins approximate so I went to the car and came back.... as I came back in to pick up my order and there were a few white guys having lunch/eating. I'm a woman of color so it really made me feel as he didn't want me there. I also asked for a thin crust pizza and my pizza is not thin at all. I will definitely not be visiting this location again. Love this place. I try not to eat pizza frequently but on a monthly basis I have to have Giordano's. The sausage is just right, the sauce is tasty, the crust is buttery. I order mine with extra sauce so I can have that "just right" sauce to meat/cheese ratio on their deep dish. I am a little disappointed that they no longer have italian antipasto salad (?). It was on their menu pre-Covid but no longer available. That my only suggestion, bring back the salad! Besides that, love the location. It's always clean. Never disappointed. I drive the extra 5 minutes passed that other brand name pizza place which will remain nameless (LM). Have to have my Giordanos. read more

Terrible service! Yes it is a Saturday night and yes we expected to wait for a table. That wasn't the issue. We went to the bar to get a drink while we waited. There were two customers at the bar also waiting while the guy that looked like the bartender continued to stack glasses and not acknowledged any of us. He left to go get more glasses to stack, all the while waitstaff sees us standing there and not one of them could acknowledge us and say "Sorry someone will be right with you". I definitely will not be going to this location again. There was no wait to get seated which is one of the positives.....BUT....it took a very long time to place our order and a very long time to get our food. We sat at around 230pm. Our order was taken 15 minutes later and 30-35 minutes after that we got our food. I would not mind waiting around the same time if we ordered a deep dish...but we ordered a thin crust pizza and Italian beef sandwich - this should not have taken more than 30 minutes to make. BTW - the Italian beef sandwich bread was nuked and completely burned and could only be edible/chewable if you poured au jus on it Also it looked like there was only 1 waitress serving our half of the restaurant??? Great place for pizza, especially if you've never had a deep dish style. Just be warned, it will take a bit longer to cook but the food is awesome. We had just a straight cheese pizza, an all meat pizza and a thin crust bbq chicken pizza. Fabulous all the way around. This was my first time coming here. We typically go to their competitor because it has always been good, but we had to try this out. We always said we would and never did. We got a medium deep dish with pepperoni and garlic. I tried a slice immediately after getting it for the best reaction they can get out of me. So far, I'm not wooed. I mean their cheese is incredible! I give them that. But their crust? Just like any other normal pizza crust. It isn't very flavorful, and the end crust was so very hard, I couldn't even eat it. That's one of my favorite parts so that was a disappointment. They also only use prepackaged parmesan cheese. Also a disappointment. I wouldn't necessarily give them 4 stars, but I also wouldn't give them 3. If there was an option for 3.5, that would be it. I might try it again if someone else paid for it. read more

Hello, my brother and sister in-law just moved into the Gurnee area, and Giordano's being at the top of my list for pizza, I decided to take them out for lunch last Sunday 6/9. We ordered a pitcher of Stella beer for the 4 of us, at which time the waitress (didn't give her name) asked for all our ID's. We proceeded to handover our ID's. The waitress checked each one, then commented to my sister in-law that hers was expired and she could not accept it. My sister noted that her Birthday was literally a month earlier, and it had just expired. Your waitress snapped back 'Well there is a reason it's expired....' I want to know exactly what is the reason she was referring too? My sister in-law is Latina, any couldn't help but feel the comment may have been racially motivated. They are in there mid 30's and my wife and I are both 45. We totally understand restaurant policy, but her comments were extremely rude and offensive to me and my guests, and the wives made it a point to point it out to her. At which time she commented 'I was not being rude....' As I said earlier they just moved to Gurnee, not too far from your store, so she drove home and got her new ID, and brought it back to the restaurant. While she was gone the store took it upon themselves to change our wait staff, but offered no apology of even acknowledged what had happened. I might expect that sort of treatment from a Pizza Hut, but a world class pizza establishment such as yours, I find a disgrace and very unprofessional. I am not in the business, nor ever worked in a restaurant, but could think of many ways this could've been handled different from the very beginning. This pizza place was pretty damn good. I had the pepperoni deep dish pizza along with some appetizers. The cheese was good and the sauce wasn't too overwhelming. I also loved the buttery crust! I would recommend calling in your orders even if you're going to dine in. The wait to cook the pizza is around 45 minutes. Also if you check in on yelp and sign up for their newsletter you get an appetizer "free". If you really want a free appetizer choose the cheese bread, if you go for the bruschetta they charge you the difference of the coupon value which is odd since its stated on the coupon that those are the two "free" options. This pizzeria for some reason cannot deliver or serve a warm pizza. It is always cold when they deliver, despite being only 2 miles away. Today we decided to dine in and they served cold pizza again. Horrible experience! Noon on Tuesday and only one other table seated. Appetizer arrived after the pizza and I told them to take it back and take it off my bill. The waiter argued with me and threatened me and I told him to go away or I would call the Gurnee police. I paid for all the food including the appetizer and as I was leaving the police arrived because he had called them and told them I wasn't going to pay. This all got cleared up in about 3 minutes because I had already paid but what an embarrassment and a nightmare. I would recommend you steer clear of this and all Giordano's. My wife and I always stop in for a stuffed pizza whenever we pass through the area. The pizza is always excellent. The stuffed special takes about 45 minutes to make so we always call about an hour ahead and tell them what time we plan to arrive so our pizza always comes out of the oven shortly after we arrive. read more

She seemed genuinely angry and clearly had somewhere else she'd rather be. No personality what so ever, a genuine debbie downer!!!!!!
