Stopped by here with a friend for a little Happy Hour, and the place is actually really cute and decor is trendy. I was surprised I wasn't more packed to be honest. It may be because of its location, because it's in a shopping center, but also apparently they're under new mgmt. So maybe they're just building the clientele again. Either way, it was just me and my friend and the bartender for a majority of the time. The bartender was kind and checked on us regularly. They have some pretty decent food on the HH menu and the drinks were nicely priced too. I am definitely going to add it in my HH rotation. I got the meatball app and the red blend wine that was on HH. My friend got the crab cake entree (not the app) which wasnt on HH but she enjoyed it. It came with potatoes and crispy brussel sprouts as well. If you're looking for a trendy spot without the trendy spot prices, this is it. Came here for a sister brunch's and it was a vibe. The Bottomless mimosas & Bellinis stole the show! Bellinis were too delicious. Unfortunately our server was pretty slow so we weren't getting the full experience initially, but they graciously extended brunch past 3 so that we could get our moneys worth!!! Great brunch package! They have pretty unique food options (lots of goat cheese) so if you're a picky eater this may be harder for you. But I Loveddd the breakfast charcuterie and the crème brûlée french toast. read more

Came here last week for a girl's dinner on a Saturday night. It was pretty empty for a Saturday evening. The restaurant is super cute, lots of instagrammable decor and beautiful furniture. The ambience is amazing! However, that was the extent of the amazingness. The food was just ok. It wasn't bad but I've definitely had better. We got the goat cheese bites which surprisingly was a huge ball of goat cheese that was breaded and fried. Way too much goat cheese for a bite, we had to cut them up into smaller pieces so we weren't just completely overwhelmed with goat cheese. We also ordered the lobster ravioli which was pretty good. Lots of lobster meat inside the ravioli. I would have done a better sauce with it but overall it was good. The bolognese my friends ordered was nothing special either. Overall, the dishes were slightly disappointing. The pasta section did have a buy one take another one home for free! I got the lasagna and albeit small, it was still a nice take home meal for the hubby. Stopped in for a girls meet up on Sunday for brunch and what a treat. Upon walking in, the decor of this establishment was quite stunning. If you're a picture taker this will definitely provide the perfect backdrop! We were greeted by our waiter Ben and it was his first day after completing training. Bless his heart, but he really did an awesome job. We all ordered our libations for starters. I went with a Bloody Mary that was garnished with salami, cheese and a stuffed olive. It was quite tasty and a nice combination. The entire brunch menu read well and as they brought out each dish we were all wowed at the presentation and even more with the flavor once we all began to dig in. Came for my best friend's birthday dinner and we really enjoyed ourselves! We arrived a few minutes after our reservation, which was no issue. We were immediately seated and all staff was super polite and welcoming. The restaurant is smaller, but nice. Dimly lit and intimate -- I think it's also great for date night. The menu made it difficult to decide what to order, but we went with the lobster ravioli and pasta with added shrimp. Everything was absolutely delicious. I am a wine lover, so I was excited to try Goat & Vine. When my husband and I pulled up to the establishment, we were surprised to see that the parking lot was empty. When we walked in, it was beautifully decorated and had romantic lighting, but it was empty inside. Our server was attentive and gave wonderful suggestions, which was a plus. The goat cheese bites were phenominal!! Like an upgraded mozzarella stick. I would highly recommend them. I got the pasta carbonara, and my husband got the chicken parmigiana. The presentation of both was beautifully, but my pasta was so hard to eat because the sauce was extremely thick! Too thick to even twirl my noodles on my fork. The food came out raw and the manager didn't even do a table touch to apologize (We did see him walking around the room and attempting flatter patrons) We were there to celebrate an anniversary and they said they don't do anything...didn't even offer any dessert for us to purchase. When we asked what desserts they had and for a menu she listed them but it was like nothing and didn't mention this one we saw another table enjoying. Ambiance - SUPER trendy, very instagrammable if that's your thing! What a cute place inside! Service - our waiter was super sweet and attentive. The place wasn't crowded at all so we got plenty of attention! Food - food was great. We really enjoyed the lobster ravioli the most. This place is on the pricier side so just beware of that! I asked for the simple syrup on the side and I'm glad I did because the drink was already sweet enough. We shared the charcuterie board which was plenty for two. We liked the spicy meats more than the regular meat. The cheeses were just okay. The bread is super dry and crusty. They should consider giving chips or pita or something else. Stopped by for drinks and an appetizer before catching a concert. FOOD: Outstanding! We had the Fritto Misto & Bruschetta. They tried to bring out a hot loaf of bread and butter, but we declined. Both dishes were simply delicious and easily split between 2-4. ATMOSPHERE: Fantastic place, very laid back, yet glamorous at the same time. Lots of outdoor seating choices too. Deduction points for the sun-faded fake flowers in the boxes outside. SERVICE: Hannah was our waitstaff and she was delightful. Super fast and just the right amount of attention. So why the 3 stars? The manager and a member of the waitstaff got into a heated discussion with shouting and lots of "F" bombs lobbed. Totally unprofessional & mishandled. The decor and ambiance here is 5 stars. The opulent rich decor in blacks, blues, and naturals draws you in and relaxes your mood. Our server, Billy, was very attentive and welcoming. The manager stopped in to check in was also very nice. The food was a 3.5- 4. The best were our starters which was the charcuterie board (the best) and the baked goat cheese which was also very good. For the main dish, I ordered the truffle cacio e peppe and it was heavy on the "peppe" and complete absent of truffle which was a shame because I truly love truffles. It was almost as if it were completely forgotten from the dish. It was decent but nothing to write home about. The hubby got a flat iron steak which was cooked perfectly and "ok". I was looking for a location that had a great ambiance and happy hour for my girl's wine down Wednesday. Happily came across Goat & Vine on my google search and I couldn't have been happier!!! I placed a reservation which I always recommended, this place did get busy for the dinner rush. Happy hour: Monday-Friday 4 pm-6 pm Every table received complimentary bread and a herbed butter: this was so tasty that I had to stop eating to leave room for the rest of the bread I had planned on order! During our time we ordered the following: -Bruschetta Tomatoes, Garlic, Onion, Basil. $7 --- I was a little surprised to find that this was not your traditional bruschetta. They placed the mix of tomatoes, garlic, onion, and basil in a bowl and provided the side bread. This was so good and continued to eat it along with my charcuterie board offerings. -Zucchini Chips Sea Salt, Rosemary, Truffle Garlic Aioli. $6 --- The zucchini was not overly breaded or greasy at all. The texture of the chips was firm and made the perfect chip to dip in the aioli. The aioli was so favorable that I asked for yet another side to continue to have with my charcuterie board. -Charcuterie Board Imported Italian Meat and Cheese, Honeycomb. $14 ---Everything on the board was perfect: We had 3 types of meats, 3 types of cheeses, fruit, fruit spread, and pickled vegetables. The bread was set aside to eat with your board. ----Cons: I wish there was a bit more of a honeycomb, the one provided was about the size of a small rock. As much as I loved the pickled vegetables a fresh one would have been a nice balance. I saw that they did 2 slices of cheese and seemed to have skimped out on the brie. White Label -- Note: Only the White/Black labels are Happy Hour approved) Red Blend (California) Happy Hour Price per bottle $18 Orginal price is $36 --Great red blend and if your wanting to try a sample before choosing ask for one. I was able to try 2 other options before deciding to move forward with my selection. Dessert: TIRAMISU - A velvety mélange of savoiardi cookies dipped in espresso --Unfortunately, we were not a fan of the dessert. It tasted bland and not as fresh. This was noted and removed from our ticket. However, I wanted to add it to the post for the sake of not just presentation but that on another day it could be a lot more delicious. Overall the location is great and easy to find. There is plenty of parking. The interior and exterior of the restaurant are beautiful and have many instagramable opportunities. The services was not as quick or attentive however, the location has just opened and the servers are still in the training process, so being patient here will help the business. I met up with a friend for HAPPY HOUR! I thought for a new place my expectations were met and my overall experience was GOOD! I still think they can work out a few kinks. The staff didn't seem to know where to take the food. They were ready to hand it off to the wrong people. I don't like people breathing over my food. So don't give it to the WRONG table and bring to me after lol. Anyways the drinks were divine. Presentation was nice and they were very tasty. I will definitely go back for cocktails. The happy hour menu was decent. Price was fair and portions were a good size. The baked goat cheese and sauce was really yummy. That sauce was actually magical and makes me want to try pasta in the future. I rarely repeat restaurants, but I am coming back. The fried goat cheese bites reminded me of mozzarella sticks. Except they were better and the goat cheese was very rich. You would probably want to share. The bartenders were friendly. The restaurant is decorated beautifully. We went to celebrate a birthday, an anniversary and Father's Day on a Saturday evening. We had no issues getting a reservation and when we arrived I am glad we did. The places was packed! It must be relatively new because I remember something else being in this convenient Park & Preston SW location. They do have another location in Allen & Fort Worth. My parents were meeting us from Justin and there were some GPS issues that I'm sure the fabulous staff is getting corrected immediately. We started with wine, recommending from the GM and a charcuterie board. Both were outstanding. Next Caesar salads and lobster bisque. Outstanding! Although we did have to ask the waitstaff for fresh cracked pepper and that delicious homemade bread we read so much about. That bread was 100% worth the weight. For dinner lobster ravioli, chicken parmesan , a boneless beef rib with risotto and the infamous pasta they prepare table side in a GIANT parmesan cheese wheel . That was a first for all of us and I have video. For dessert we shared a 20 layer chocolate cake with coffee and a decaf Espresso Martini. The motto of this new restaurant out of IL must be "NOBODY GOES HOME HUNGRY!" We all slowly strolled to our vehicles with bags of left overs. The ambience transported you to Italy. There is a huge wrap around bar and a beautiful patio. A few negatives, the restaurant was quite loud and we had to keep elevating our voices to talk. Our 4 top felt like we were at an 10 ft round instead of a 4 ft. I think we had a new waitress who was a doll, but needs more practice as maines were coming out before salads. The bar tvs weren't showing the Olympic trails or anything but the cool logo. Guess that kept us present. The general manager was wonderful as well as the host and wait staff. I love cheese and I love wine. So, when I saw the announcement that this place was coming soon, I couldn't wait to try it. Unfortunately, my hopes for a go-to wine and cheese spot were quickly dashed. We arrived just after 5pm on a Friday. Passed the valet to park in the gigantic open parking lot. Host asked if we had a reservation, we did not. She said they were completely full tonight. This was laughable, because there was not a single table seated in the entire interior of the restaurant. She noted if we could find a spot at the bar, we could dine there. We were planning to eat at the bar anyway, but yikes. Just a note that by the time we had two drinks, an appetizer, and dinner at the bar and left, there was still not a single table seated. I understand wanting to honor reservations. A way other restaurants have handled this is by saying "we are fully booked starting at 7pm, so we'd need you to leave the table by 6:45. Or, you can dine at the bar!" Or if the intent is to fill the bar, just saying "our table service doesn't begin until 7pm, you can dine at the bar if you'd like!" Sending everyone to a bar overwhelmed the bartenders, who were undertrained. They were all running around the bar like their hair was on fire. The bar setup seemed inconsistent from one well to another, bartenders seemed lost finding certain tools/glassware/dinnerware, and there was a lot of time spent crowded around the POS machines loudly trying to figure out together how to enter in orders. Needless to say, service was spotty. We ordered our cocktails and it took 5-10 minutes for them to even start making them- which seems really weird for a bar. That's when I found out that the drink I had ordered was not available. It seems from other reviews this drink is often not available so they should really just remove it from the menu. The bartender admitted he knew nothing about the wines and couldn't recommend anything one way or another. I ordered a glass of Pinot Grigio and it was really an average to below average wine, in my opinion. Later, my husband ordered a glass of wine from the higher end of the list and it was also Not Good. So as far as the Vine part of the restaurant... there may be a few gems in there but I'll be steering clear in the future. The food was overall pretty good, 3.5*. The Goat Cheese Bites need a little something- maybe some herbs or honey or chili pepper - they felt very bland. It was supposed to be served with arrabbiata but we feel confident we received plain tomato sauce because there was no spice at all. We both ordered pasta for dinner and this was the highlight - both pastas were fresh and flavorful. However, we didn't really like each other's dishes so YMMV. One of the bartenders tried to recover our experience, which is what has me leaning to 3 stars. If I knew he'd be my bartender every time, I'd come back. I was really hoping this would be my new go-to spot for date nights and happy hours, but it seems they are going for a nightclub vibe like some of the restaurants I've been to downtown. I don't think I have ever paid so much money for a not even mediocre meal. Which is such a shame because the menu could have so much potential if executed well. When we walked in at our reservation time the restaurant wasn't even half full so that probably should've been my first clue. We started by ordering the charcuterie board and grilled octopus for appetizers. Both were actually quite good so we had high hopes for the main entree. For entrees we ordered 3 Filet Mignons, Spaghetti Pomodoro with Meatballs, Pasta Carbonara and a side of Charred Broccolini. They didn't get a single one of the steaks right. If you are charging me $52 for a steak it better be damn PERFECT. First they brought out a steak that was sliced and I thought okay maybe that's how it's served. Turns out it went to the wrong table. Then they brought our actual steaks and they flipped two of ours around. When you have identical steaks but one is medium rare and one is medium, you should memorize which one is which. Every single steak was 100% BLAND. It's like they are very against salt or any type of seasoning. And the "black truffle sauce" was more like "butter water." I don't even know what that was. Carbonara -- BLAND. I don't even know how you make a pasta that has egg and bacon, bland, but they found a way. Now let's talk about the spaghetti. When it first came out the sauce was so sweet. Like even my 6 year who loves sugar didn't like the sauce. We complained about this and sent it back and then they brought one out that was spicy. Like geez guys what are you doing. You may have read from other reviews about the volume of the music. I found it loud and prohibited conversations without raising our voices. Also the music selection-electronic dance music- fine, but incongruent with the atmosphere. 3.5 stars for the wine. The wine menu is divided into 3 sections: White Label, Black Label and Premier Label. The wine is identified by region. We had the Pinot Noir (Santa Lucia Highlands) 2017 from the Black Label. It was smooth, plummy and yummy. 3.5 stars for the food. Our table shared the charcuterie board. Cheese was tasty and nice selection. We wished there were more crackers and less pickled veggies. Absolutely loved this place. The ambience and the decor are my favorite followed by the and service. As soon as I entered I was greeted well and taken to my table. My friend was late but I went ahead and ordered a nice glass of red blend recommended by the server which turned out to be decent. She then gave me the complimetary bread. It was warm but I wish they instesd gave pieces and not the whole loaf. I don't want to bother myself cutting it. I kept it simple and ordered the spaghetti with marinara sauce and a side of grilled asparagus. Food is decent and has good options for meat and seafood lovers. I wish they had more veg options though. Overall it was a fun experience and I would definitely go again, for a brunch this time may be. The food and service are solid at this restaurant. We made a reservation to come on a Friday evening and the place was packed. The decor was instagram worthy but I forgot to take pictures. It's an elevated yet cozy feeling. The servers were prompt to come by for our drink orders. Then a freshly out of the oven warm loaf of bread was served with salted butter. The quality of bread was top notch. It had a very crumbly outer shell yet very soft and airy on the inside. For mains I ordered chicken parmesan and hubby got the dill salmon. Both were 10/10. Plenty of cheese on my chicken Parm and the serving size was literally enough for me to eat it for 3 meals..the pasta marinara had a fantastic chew to it, which was just delightful. Husband's salmon was well cooked, and came with lovely roasted dual colored baby potatoes and giant asparagus. We got too full to order dessert. Oh BTW we also split their goat cheese salad, which comes with fried goat cheese balls that reminds me of the similar salad at Bella Greens just down the road. We were checked on and served by multiple people for ordering, refilling water and packaging up our food. I think the manager stopped by to ask how everything was too. You feel really valued as a patron. One thing I should note is when I looked down by my feet to check for something, I noticed a salad leaf that might have dropped from previous cleanups, and a waiter picked it up promptly. This is a semi new location opened up in a busy shopping area, close to Park and Preston by Market Street parking lot. The employees are friendly and me the service is great. They make sure to train their staff well as we saw a couple of employees shadowing and learning the service techniques. They have a big patio area as well as plenty of indoor and bar sitting. The decor is really cute and lends itself to brunch out with the girls. They have the room to handle small and large parties. The food was delicious and options are plentiful. Interestingly enough, my sister actually ate at the bar while my husband & I had a little date night and it sounded like her experience was much better with the direct contact with the bar tender! April 2023 S U M M A R Y I drove almost an hour from downtown Dallas to get here on a Saturday for brunch. Unfortunately, I left without eating. There were a couple things that were off putting like the really slow service (after sitting for about 15 minutes we still didn't have anyone come to our table) and the 50% capacity but the hostess saying that she didn't know if we could be seated (missed our reservation). But ultimately, the thing that had me packing my bags and leaving immediately was the 50% price increase for their three course brunch. The original prize for appetizer, entrée and dessert was 45$ (+20$ for alcoholic beverages) and on April 1 when I visited it had jumped to 65$. Mind you, their website still said 45$. Mind you, nothing about their menu had changed. I felt really bamboozled and also felt like this restaurant increased their prices because of their increased popularity due to social media and TikTok. I am not a fan of sudden price increases especially when it contradicts your website. Combine that with the slow service and I decided to have brunch elsewhere. I will say that I spoke to the manager Hector (before seeing the price difference) who got me a table instead of sitting at the bar and he was really really nice but I don't think I will drive that far again because I just can't justify the price. The interior is beautiful though! Tip for the restaurant, if you're going to increase your prices please put that on your website. And let guests know that there will be a price increase starting on a certain date. read more

I was waiting to post about my first experience at Goat & Vine till I spoke to someone at the restaurant about our horrible experience, but 3 days later and 3 attempts to talk to a manager has not happened. I was told to talk to Hector but he has not responded to messages left or emails. My daughter made reservations at 4:45 pm for 4 of us on Mother's Day for an early dinner as we both had to work. The hostess where sweet and very friendly. Once seated the evening just got worse. Since our daughter and her husband invited- I did not want to make too big a deal as it was not her fault. Our waitress shared too many of her woes when we tried to order our cocktails. And here it stated I shared with her the importance of my martini having blue cheese olives - and when drink arrived the olives where empty, when I brought this to her attention she said the person filling them got busy and they are not ready yet. The food was sub par for the most part. Tiki Hubby and I shared the house salad with a delicious dressing and little fried hunks of goat cheese. So far good. Meatballs appetizer where shared at the table and other than not being warm where okay. I then ordered for my meal the spaghetti Al Formaggio Parmigiano - spaghetti cooked in the Parmesan wheel. The young man who fixed it table side was having a hard time keeping his tie out of the flame so the yummy show of this meal was not pleasant at all. He put one little mound onto a plate and then handed my husband a plate if he wanted some. Omg it was horrible- tasted like cold solid mushy alcohol!! Really - I had my daughter try as she had it there before and she spit it out stating the young man did not cook off the whiskey long enough and no way anyone could eat it. The waitress when she finally came back to the table asked if we wanted something else in it place and my husband ordered the chicken Parmesan. Which came out in 2 seconds and looked like it was someone's left over food. I did not try anything else as I could not get the terrible taste out of my mouth. I do not like giving poor reviews without talking to management but as started they never returned my messages or ask. The place is cute place. The food prices do not meet the food or service. Service only got worse as our server was having a crisis. Meal was over 2 hours waiting on drinks and food. The place was not even 1/2 full at this time. Food was cold to warm. Small servings as compared to previous posted pictures on Yelp, And table side food under cooked. This was shared at the time and seem to go on deaf ears of anyone wanting to try to recover. Mother's Day ruined- no yummy meal, cocktail and never got dessert ! The icing was I called 2x and email and no response as I wanted to tell management not post this. So my husband decided to take me and some close family friends out everything was great until the end of the service. The waiter was upset ripped up our bill threw it in the trash. As we are about to leave. I decided to go and speak to the front desk lady. It seems he was mad about the fact we tipped him low mind. You not this is our first time going to the restaurant he didn't explain anything and for that I think that his customer service was unprofessional. I came here on a Friday night for the first time and sat at the bar. It took a staff member about 15 minutes to locate a menu so that I could order. I ordered a drink and entree and it took about another 20 minutes or so to get my food and I had to catch someone's attention to request some bread as everyone around me had one and it was never offered. I arrived about an hour and 15 minutes before closing and it was apparent that staff members were ready to go as they were huddled in a group chatting with each other. Given the environment, the place was in desperate need of an air freshener or nice smelling candles. I got a free entree to go which was a great gesture. Ok so, I can't remember how I found this place but I'm always down to try a new restaurant. From the pictures I saw, the interior was lovely and you know in DFW we are full of pretty restaurants where the food is just okay but the decor is 5 stars. I took a chance anyway. We had reservations for 6pm on a Friday evening. The restaurant wasn't packed just yet. Once seated, our server David really took care of us! We tried the baked goat cheese which was phenomenal, caprese salad, lobster bisque, I ordered the Truffle cacio e Pepe which happens to be the best thing I ever tasted and my friend ordered the Dill Roasted Salmon which was amazing too. Our water glasses stayed full, the food was served pretty quickly too. I had a cocktail which was decent but nothing to call home about. Do not pass up the baked goat cheese. You gotta get it. It's creamy and saucy. Also the cacio e Pepe was life changing. I woke up the next morning thinking about it. Our experience was so good we decided to come back Sunday for the brunch special. Now brunch was different. The food was still amazing & so was the service. This time we had Sammy. He was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We got the premium package so our table was full of food & drinks. You have to get the smoked salmon toast! You have to get the pancakes! The cinnamon roll bread was kinda stiff but it had a good flavor. My friend loved her steak & eggs. The brunch burger had a great taste too. We ordered more of the salmon toast & pancakes though. The dressert was served to us beautifully, too. The drinks were pretty good too. The only issue is that the kitchen started getting backed up and it started taking longer & longer to receive our food and drinks. It took maybe 20-25 minutes for me to get the last drink I ordered and in that time frame they changed the entire drink. I'm easy going so it wasn't an issue. G&V is a beautiful restaurant and wine bar. Delicious food. Great wine options. Collectively, one of us got the G&V salad and lobster bisque. Very good. Another of us got the lobster ravioli. Also good. I got the Spaghetti Al Formaggio Parmigiano, which is a sight to behold. OMG. So good. The waitress, Chelsea, warned me that some people may think it has a strong or at least definitive whiskey taste after the fire goes away. I don't like to taste liquor. And I didn't. It was just pure Parmesan delightfulness. We also had the panna cotta trio dessert. The pistachio and rose water one was the best. We loved the fireworks we kept seeing on other people's tables with the Big A$$ Sundae. So we asked for sparklers with our Panna Cotta trio. Chelsea delivered. read more

I came here on a rainy night with my daughter. We had fantastic service restaurant is beautiful wonderful ambience. We ordered the bread that was the perfect start to our evening. My daughter ordered the pasta. She thought it was very rich and flavorful. Almost too rich and flavorful for a 10-year-old. The Lodi Chardonnay was delicious, and the silver lining was fantastic. The service was was extremely attentive, which is hard to find! They bagged up all of our left overs and we are waiting for our tower! Oh my goodness! What a special treat! This was my first time trying this restaurant. The outdoor seating is super cute. The atmosphere and ambiance inside is also nice. Their wine selections was just okay. I've had better. Their goat cheese bites were delicious. Basically a mozzarella stick but with goat cheese. I got the carbonara and wasn't a big fan. My friend got the stuffed ravioli and said it was good and filled with a lot of meat. read more

This is a really cute restaurant with a really nice patio. The ambiance is very nice and really pretty. A friend had made reservations to come out here on a Thursday evening, and we sat outside. Our waitress was new, but she was really attentive. She offered suggestions on what to order. We started off with a few appetizers which consisted of meatballs and baked goat cheese. I highly recommend them both as they were delicious. I ended up ordering the truffle cacio e Pepe with grilled chicken, and it was perfect. The flavor was powerful, and the chicken was really good. Came here for the 1st time for a date night in Dec. we had a reservation and were quickly sat. The place is very nicely decorated on the inside. Very "instagramable" if you're into that. Service was great! We were quickly attended to and constantly checked on, which was nice! The server was also not only knowledgeable on the menu but also made detailed wine recommendations. Our power was still out yesterday so my Son and i stopped in for dinner. not only did I love the ambience and Chicago like feel of this bar (decor)and restaurant but the service from the second we walked in was a call out. Everyone was engaging, friendly and we were so happy to be somewhere with air condition and food. The food was amazing and the best burger we've ever had.
